Debt Problems and How To Deal With Them A Debt Collectors Point of View

Here I will point out the do’s and don’ts for dealing with your debt problems.

Debt collectors in the UK that work for major financial institutions earn a wage. They can earn a bonus (usually yearly) by exceeding certain targets set for them. Generally these targets are based on the amount they collect and also the number of promises (a promise to pay by a debtor) that have been made versus the number kept. To put it simply, if you promise to pay a Bank £10 per week for 5 weeks and you make every payment on time, that counts as a successfully kept promise against your record and also against the collector who arranged it for you. If you fail to pay on time or pay less than you agreed, the arrangement will fail and the collector will be penalised and your record will be marked.

Rule No. 1 Don’t make a promise you can’t keep. Many people feel intimidated by debt collectors and therefore feel under pressure to promise to pay more than they can reasonably afford. When this arrangement fails (and it will fail), the Bank will be less likely to help you in future.

Rule No. **End Summary** Topics: debt problems financial difficulties cccs creditors ove
About the Author:
Lisa Mills runs two websites, one selling <a href="http://www.newbabygiftboxes.co.uk/index.php?page=shop&amp;shop_cat_id=3">Baby Gifts</a> and the other promoting <a href="http://www.childrensgiftideas.com">Children gift ideas</a> .

Colic - Prevention Is Better Than Cure

The main symptom of colic is usually constant crying for no apparent reason. For example your baby won’t be hungry, need their nappy changed or have a temperature, they will not want to be laid down, sat up, played with or left alone. Nothing you do will ease their crying. Most babies have a colicky time of day, which is usually in the afternoon or early evening. The good news is that colic normally passes by the age of 3-4 months.

Below you will find some top tips which we as a family have utilised to great effect.

Don’t shake your baby’s bottles. When making your baby’s bottles swill the bottle gently to mix the milk and powder instead of shaking it. Shaking the bottle just causes more bubbles, which may lead to colic later.

Get the best bottles you can afford. There are companies that make bottles that claim to ease or prevent colic in babies. If you can afford to, try many different bottles to see which ones work better for you and then use them religiously.

Get a good colic treatment. There are many colic treatments out there. **End Summary** Topics: colic crying baby babies babys colicky cry pain wind
About the Author:
Lisa Mills runs two websites, one selling ' <a href="http://www.newbabygiftboxes.co.uk">baby gifts</a> ' and the other promoting ' <a href="http://www.childrensgiftideas.co.uk/" target="_blank">children gift ideas</a> '.

How to Become More Assertive

The concept of being assertive is about seeing yourself as an equal who has certain rights. Also it involves respecting the fact that the people you deal with on a daily basis have the same rights as you do. So what exactly are these rights? They involve having the right to say no and the right to change your mind as well as the right to make mistakes. They involve having the right to express feeling and opinions as well as the right to disagree and put forward an alternative interpretation.

What many people don't realise is that being assertive is not a personality trait; it is something that is learned. The behaviour of being assertive is our ability to state our wants and feelings openly as well as respecting the wants and feelings of those we are talking to, even if these wants and feeling differ from our own.

Assertiveness training
The idea behind learning to be more assertive came around the time when women's liberation was really starting to take off. It started originally in the US when women started to go on courses about it to learn how to be more confident in male dominated workplaces. **End Summary** Topics: Self Improvement Aggresive Assertive Assertiveness Fourc
About the Author:
Lisa Mills runs two websites, one selling ' <a href="http://www.newbabygiftboxes.co.uk">baby gifts</a> ' and the other promoting <a href="http://www.childrensgiftideas.co.uk/" target="_blank">'children's gift ideas'</a> .

Our guide features London's best galleries, museums, landmarks, historical sites, shopping areas and entertainment zones, all guaranteed to provide the ultimate London tourist experience. The attractions we've highlighted are unashamedly well known, but do you really want to be returning home to tell your friends about the fantastic thimble shop in Pimlico you visited? Or would you rather rave about the phenomenal view of one of the world's great cities from the top of The Eye, or that you've actually seen the beauty of Van Gogh's Sunflowers with your own eyes?

London has a multitude of varied and exciting attractions but these are the ones without which, your trip just wouldn't be the same!

Oxford Street Britain's busiest high street and London's best known shopping area is chock-a-block full of the largest branches of the nation's most popular shops - over 300 in fact. Many of the biggest high street names have their flagship stores here and the street also boasts the oldest record shop in the world (HMV at number 363). It's not all hardcore shopping though - light entertainment is often provided in the form of chanting Hari Krishnas skipping along the pavement. **End Summary** Topics: attractions london attractions tourist information london

Qualities Of A Good Leader

An age old saying goes that; 'managers do things right, leaders do the right thing.' Having a leader is particularly important in organisations, from small family companies to large corporate businesses. It represents structure and every business, organisation and group needs structure to forge ahead successfully.

The term being a good leader means that you inspire others to follow your example. You are leading people to success and you are responsible for the actions that are taken to do this. Great leaders are sought after by all large organisations. Great leaders are worth their weight in gold because they get things done and they inspire others to get things done. So just what attributes does it take to achieve this?

What are the qualities of a good leader?

1. They are proactive rather than reactive. This basically means they can anticipate what is required, plan ahead to avoid disruption and get things done, calling on the right members of the team at the right time. Drumming up enthusiasm and seeking team participation.

2. They know themselves. They are aware of their strengths and weaknesses. They are also aware of the strengths and weaknesses of their team. **End Summary** Topics: qualities quality leader leadership business acumen te
About the Author:

Whilst we can list a variety of events and attractions that won't cost you a bean, we can't promise that you won't have to part with a penny or two for travel or refreshments.

1. Now for something completely different...if you fancy living dangerously then why not view a trial in session at the Old Bailey? The Old Bailey is the most famous criminal court in the world, hearing cases from London and all over England and Wales. The original Old Bailey courthouse dates back to 1539. Famous trials held there include; Oscar Wilde, Dr Crippen, William Joyce ('Lord Haw Haw'), the Krays and the Yorkshire Ripper.

The public galleries are open Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. You may have to queue to gain entry as the Old Bailey has become a popular tourist attraction. You can get a list of the cases to be heard by visiting: Hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/courthearings.htm. The nearest tube is St Paul's.

2. If you've had a hard day at work or have shopped til you dropped and fancy putting your feet up and relaxing, then where better than at the Theatre Royal Stratford East? **End Summary** Topics: Tourist attraction attractions nights out in London trave
About the Author:
