How I Got Engaged

Once upon a time, I had an idea for the perfect way to propose to the woman of my dreams. I hadn't met her yet- but I knew the idea was great. Well I did meet her, and you know how things go. Year after year we dated, but the right financial moment and time would not meet to accomplish the idea. But I was determined to propose the way I wanted. We were married in November of 2008 and I've never looked back, and this is how I made it happen.

Early in 2007 my then girlfriend found out that her sister was moving across the country to Montana. Now I'd had proposing in mind for a while, but I figured this event was perfect timing since it would take her mind off her sister's leaving, and frankly it was the excuse I needed to take action. Still, I had to put a lot of pieces into motion to make this the red carpet event I imagined it to be.

Where to start? I'm no fool. With testosterone driven smarts, and a shared twelve pack of beer I asked her father for her hand in marriage. Let's face it; **End Summary** Topics: Marriage Proposal Engaged Happyness Love Relationships Cool Engagements Cool Proposals
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
Money is Floating All Around Us

In these hard economic times, everyone is looking for ways to make money or to stretch their dollars. It may seem impossible when your budget is so tight, but there are many simple ways to make money and reduce your monthly expenses.

You can save money on your health insurance and life insurance by doing a few things differently. If you smoke, quit. Though it isn't easy, it will reduce your health insurance rates and your life insurance premium and payout. In addition to saving on insurance, quitting smoking will put a lot of money back in your pocket. A moderate smoking habit costs over $2,000 per year. That's about $20,000 for every decade spent smoking. Just think what you could do with an extra $2,000 this year!

Small changes at the grocery store and while shopping for clothes and necessities can help you save too. Coupons may seem like a passing idea, but there are still many valuable coupons found in weekly newspapers, magazines, and on line. Many stores offer discount coupons if you sign up for their online newsletters. **End Summary** Topics: Saving Money Money Money Saver ReducingDept Help Saving Money Finance Help
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
Cool Facts About Salt

Many people think of salt only as a seasoning. It is used by many, especially Americans, to add flavor to foods, and to send some to the doctor with high blood pressure. But, there are so many more cool uses for salt. It is clearly not just for food and historically, it has played a large role in shaping some cultures.

As much as 5-7% of the ocean is made up of salt. Though this percentage seems small it needs to be put into perspective. If we could remove all the salt from the ocean and spread it over the earth the layer would be over 500 feet deep. Obviously, nature provides all this salt for a reason.

All human beings, most animals, and several plants need salt to survive. Salt is a large component in balancing cellular fluid, it helps regulate blood pressure and helps cells communicate through the sending of electrical charges. It also maintains the water balance in our bodies. You can see why too much salt or too little salt would throw off many of these functions. Salt is expelled from the body through the excretions of many bodily fluids, especially perspiration. **End Summary** Topics: Salt Cool Facts Sea Salt Food Salts
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
Top 3 Tips for Coupon Clippers

Coupon clipping is one of the best ways to save money on your everyday household expenses, groceries, eating out and more. By simply using coupons you can save 50% or even more on things you would normally buy anyway. However, many people do not use coupons to the best advantage. If you team your coupons with BOGO bargains and other deals then you and your pocketbook will reap the rewards. Check out the following tips to learn the insider secrets on effectively using coupons.

1. Organizing Coupons: It is vitally important to organize your coupons in an easy to use format. Find a system that works well for you and stay on top of it. Update your coupons as you get new ones. Put coupons for the same item together and group similar items in the same section. Use a small coupon holder that goes in your purse for quick stops at the store. When you are doing your weekly grocery shopping, you may want to opt for a bigger system, like a small box or a binder with see-through baseball card holders inside to make locating specific coupons a cinch.

"I use Yahoo to play, Google when I'm serious"

Since the dawn of the Internet age, which was not so very long ago, a number of search engines have come and gone in popularity. The two strongest and most recognizable ones are easily Google and Yahoo. In fact, numerous users tend to favor one over the other for a variety of reasons; however, there are many people who switch back and forth, depending on what they are searching for. Many of those people tend to use Yahoo for what they consider to be fun searches and Google for the more serious stuff. For Internet marketers, this is a significant point.

In general, Yahoo is a much more commercial type of search engine in a variety of ways. It is filled with ads and pop-ups and lots of color and eye-candy to keep you entertained as you do your web searches. It offers continually changing information and news on its home page to keep those with short attention spans interested. However, the thing that sets Yahoo apart as a search engine to play on is it that ranks its searches according to which one is the top bidder. **End Summary** Topics: BOGO Deals Shopping Saving Money Buy One Get One B1G1 Coupon Half Off
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
Everybody Loves Buy One, Get One Frees!

There is an incredible attraction to the word free. Most people, regardless of their economic status in life, are automatically more interested in practically any given item when the word free is attached. We will get something, whether we need it or not, when it is free. This is the psychological aspect that is behind buy one get one free deals. Since everyone loves getting something for nothing, BOGOs draw a lot of interest from a wide section of the population.

If you believe you are getting something for free, whether or not you really are, you will gravitate towards it. You are much more likely to try something new if no charge is attached. Buyers are much more likely to visit a store that offers buy one get one free deals, because of the potential for savings from that free item. In fact, many top money saving tips recommend that you shop the sales, especially BOGOs, and plan your meals around what is on special in order to save money.

In today's economy, people are devoting more and more time than ever to bargain hunting and finding those incredible opportunities where you actually can get something for nothing. **End Summary** Topics: Free Deals Bargains Coupons Buy One Get One Saving Money Grocery Deals
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest great money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
Bad Economy, Great Deals

Oh, the woes of a down economy! Do you shudder when you open your bank statement or dread that trip to the mailbox because you know that it is bound to be full of bills? Hopefully, you've come up with some money saving strategies to get your family through the lean times; or better yet, make everyone feel like things aren't so lean after all.

The great news is that there are definitely some good deals to be had in the worst of times. Whether you are looking for simple strategies to save a few pennies day to day, or ways to save on the biggest deals of all, you can find them. Here are some of my favorite methods to take advantage of the way things are, without whining about it!

Let's start with easy ways to save money on a daily basis. Coupon clipping is a tried and true strategy that savvy shoppers have used for years. You simply can't lose when you walk into a store with a guaranteed discount. The only downside to coupon clipping is that it takes a little bit of time and organization to get the most out of it. **End Summary** Topics: BOGO Free Deals Bargains Coupons Buy One Get One Free Saving Money Grocery Deals
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest great money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
What is a BOGO?

Shopping, like so many other things now, has its own language. One of the most highly sought after shopping deals is the BOGO. A BOGO is literally Buy One, Get One and are sometimes abbreviated to B1G1. You pay for one item and get the second one free of charge.

It's a pricing strategy used by many stores in their sales to draw in customers. Such sales are often intended to be loss leaders for the store, meaning they expect customers to come for such great sales and while they are in the store spend money on other items at regular price. This is what makes BOGOs and other loss leaders so attractive for marketers. They really do draw in customers.

Tips for BOGO Deals

For customers, BOGO sales can often make items even cheaper than shopping at Wal-Mart. You get double the quantity for the same price as one; therefore you will not need to shop for the same item as often. In addition, it is like you are paying half price for each item, a discount that shoppers rarely get. **End Summary** Topics: BOGO Deals Shopping Saving Money Buy One Get One B1G1
About the Author:
Idea-man and newlywed David Hall started pursuing his latest great money saving idea in 2008 when he started http://www.BOGOfetcher.com .
