Get aside for arguably the year’s most romantic love story christened Anjaana Anjaani. Well, the first look of the movie is out and it’s already talk of the town in a jiffy. After the hunky-dory success of I Hate Luv Storys, this one is all geared up to spread romance and love in the air but this time in a strange idiosyncratic manner. Anjaana Anjaani is directed by Siddharth Anand who has tasted success on his debut venture Salaam Namaste in the year 2005. Though, Siddharth had a tough time post Salaam Namaste as Ta Ra Rum Pum and Bachna Ae Haseeno didn’t live up to his accolades. He is back with not only an unique script but also with an unseen onscreen pair in the form of Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Piracy has for long has been the root cause for the down-market of Bollywood movies. Though, some might say that piracy has also helped the filmmakers in an indirect manner but on an ethical perspective it has always been perceived as a loophole or rather an economic problem which cannot be resolved. If we look back at the recent past, Director Sudhir Mishra already delayed film ‘Tera Kya Hoga Johnny’ was all over the internet even before it got released. The perfectionist is back in action. Aamir Khan hits back to Bollywood with Peepli Live. After the colossal success of 3 Idiots, Aamir Khan is back with yet another satirical movie. Peepli Live is a fresh concept introduced in Bollywood. The movie is a satire on the farmers' suicides and subsequent media and political response. The plot goes like this, on the eve of national elections in the Indian village of Peepli, two poor farmers, Natha and Budhia, face losing their land over an unpaid government loan. Desperate, they seek help from an apathetic local politician, who suggests they commit suicide to benefit from a government program that aids the families of indebted deceased farmers. When a journalist overhears Budhia urge Natha to "do what needs to be done" for the sake of their families, a media frenzy ignites around whether or not Natha will commit suicide. A lot was expected from Mani Ratnam’s colossal film Raavan starring real life couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead. This was a much hyped movie which did not click well. Something Bollywood is quite well acquainted with. Colossal much hyped movies failing at the box office. But the failure of Raavan leaves a lot of intriguing question unanswered. Bollywood faces a downfall not only at the Box office but also in the Indian Premiere League. At the Box office Bollywood movies suffered a huge loss resulting in the downfall early in the year 2010. The first three months Bollywood suffered a loss of around Rs 200 crore. The chief reason behind the loss was the ongoing Indian Premiere League but the class and the movie content was also put to blame. Shahrukh Khan may be the king of Bollywood but he is surely having the most elusive and abortive time of his life in the cricketing world. Akin to the first two seasons in the Indian Premiere League (IPL), Kolkata Knightriders are dumped out of the race for qualifying into the semifinals after losing to the Chennai Super Kings by 9 wickets on Tuesday. Housefull Has a Zestful Soundtrack

After My Name Is Khan and Karthik Calling Karthik the awesome deuce-ace is back with Housefull. When we talk about the euphony produced by the trio, we say they compose unparallel music every time we hear them. They have made their own niche in the Bollywood film fraternity as every time they step out of their zones and create zestful music for the masses, it spreads like wildfire. Housefull has a very zippy, bouncy zestful music and according to the genre of the film i.e. romantic comedy, it compliments & gels well. The music is slightly different from Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy. Well, the vigor can be compared to that of Heyy Babyy but this one’s more on the hilarious side. On the whole there are 8 scintillating tracks in the movie which involves three remixes and one reprised track. The album kick starts with “O Girl Your Mine”, a buoyant peppy track which will get onto you real quick. This one’s a kick-ass number crooned by newbie Tarun Sagar voicing up with the likes of Alyssa Mendonsa and Loy Mendonsa. Piracy has always played a pivotal role in Bollywood as well as Hollywood industry. It causes major damage as the filmmakers expect their faithful audience to go to the theatres and watch the movie. Since, piracy is becoming a key threat, both Bollywood and Hollywood has taken up the task to fight this nuisance. Bollywood and Hollywood has made a coalition which is among the Motion Picture Association of America and seven Indian companies to tackle counterfeiting in one of the worlds’ largest film markets. This just might freak you out, because recently we saw foreign sensation Kylie Minogue groove and croon with Akshay Kumar in the movie Blue. On the 18th of February, 2010 Bollywood bided adieu to a great actor Nirmal Pandey. He was in his mid 40’s when he suffered a heart attack in Mumbai. When we thought that Terrorism is targeting the nation, well, times have now changed as Bollywood is targeting terrorism! Right from movies like Maachis, Sarfarosh, Roja, Bombay, Dil Se, Mission Kashmir, Fanaa, A Wednesday, Mumbai Meri Jaan to recently released movies like Kurbaan, New York have all targeted terrorism. Though, initially it was a poignant topic to make a film on thus, most of them tasted success and triumph. Post 9/11 attacks, almost all the states came under the terrorist scanner and there was a constant fear and threat in the heart and minds of the masses. Hence, Bollywood at that point of time made movies which would project the hidden truth, different angles and view points of the masses, more jingoism and making public aware of the various kinds of mode terrorist use to attack, assumptions and probabilities etc. Initially, reel life was meant for entertainment, so that the public can take a break from their busy, tiring schedule and hit the theatres. Shahid Kapoor along with Ayesha Takia will be seen in Paathshaala. Paathshaala, the name itself tells you half the story. The movie centers on the pros and cons of the Indian Educational System and how the children suffer from this predicament. There are many issues which a school going child face, Paathshaala highlights most of them. The movie could be an eye opener for teachers, professors, school children and not to forget the parents too. After Taare Zameen Par, this will be the next big thing dealing with a common subject. Everyone had predicted that 2010 will be a year when Bollywood will rise to shine with colossal forthcoming releases like Veer, Rajneeti, Rann, Kites, My Name is Khan, Housefull, Ravaana, Delhi Belly and Golmaal 3 etc. Though most of the movies have not released yet but almost all of them are known to movie buffs. These movies have already made a buzz all around even before they came into being. The fact that these movies are known to people is because these movies aint just any movies but these are some of most hyped and big budgeted movies of the year 2010. Talking about forthcoming and upcoming movies of Bollywood, the Bollywood calendar goes like this. Talking about clashes, this one was the mother of all clashes. Can you possibly think any director can be a challenge to James Cameroon? Well, it’s the dawn of the new head named Bollywood. To be more precise Raju Hirani has done the impossible. 3 idiots have done what no one had ever thought of. Before Avatar would release, everyone couldn’t stop blabbering about the movie and the accolades which James Cameroon had accomplished, next generation animation and what not. But, now people are just talking over 3 Idiots, which had no special effects, no James Cameroon nor the cost which Avatar had. Yes! The movie did have Aamir Khan though! What can be said about Mr. Perfectionist? Whenever you count him out, he does something supernatural to get himself back on the charts. Avatar was based on sci-fiction whereas 3 Idiots was based on the life and struggle of youngsters (Engg. Students). Let’s take nothing away from the Hollywood’s ace director James Cameroon. Avatar is one hell of a movie with mind boggling graphics and special effects. 22nd January will see the release of Veer, which is arguably Salman’s biggest film till date. And on 29th of January, a week later will release Ishqiya, directed by debutante director, Abhishek Chaubey. Will Ishqiya be a stiff competition to Veer? Well, let’s see the analytics. Veerâs Music Will Bring Back Memories!

The rare and till some extent an inimitable combination of Gulzar and Sajid-Wajid would be seen taking charge of music in Veer. Sajid-Wajid can be called Salman’s favorite duo as they have composed music for Salman quite often. The musical duo has composed chartbuster music for Salman in movies like Wanted, Partner, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi etc. They can definitely be called Salman’s lucky charm and hot favorite. And we cannot comment or annotate anything about Gulzar. This multitalented human being has it all. The ultimate maestro when it comes to writing lyrics or dialogues. With Veer, he has earned yet another feather in his cap. Veer contains eight timeless tracks composed by Sajid-Wajid and two of the tracks are dissimilar renditions of the same song. "Taali" is a classical Indian song with elevated vigor and gusto. The song is crooned by great Sukhwinder Singh who apparently sings a solo track of the song as well. This one also has voices of Sonu Nigam and newbie Neumon Pinto. The next track "Surili Akhiyon Wale” is one of the most soothing tracks from the movie.
