With No Way Out I Turned To The Web To Make Money Online!

It has been a while now since I have had to worry about such things as paying the rent, paying bills and if, where and when my next pay check is going to come from.

In fact these days I pretty much do as I please! Gone are those days when I had to get up at the crack of dawn just to get ready for work that I totally loathed. That's right, my mornings these days are spent lazing in bed.

My office by the way is about a hundred feet down the hall from my bedroom; it's my study!

However let me start this story properly and not back to front. So let's go back to the beginning (well actually somewhere in the middle) so you can see how I ended up where I am today.

Anyway not so long ago I was having a barbecue at my place with my friends and neighbors when inevitably the conversation honed in on the dire situation of the economy of today. **End Summary** Topics: make money make money online
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka runs an <a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">internet business</a>

The Shocking Little-Known Secret Of FFA Sites

FFA stands for "Free For All" and that is precisely what FFA sites are; internet advertising platforms for all and sundry who wish to post a free ad. Let me add here that Classified Ad sites are basically the same thing as FFA sites save for the fact that on a classified ad site you can actually incorporate a bit more text in your ad.

But here's the sad truth about posting to an FFA site: NOBODY IS GOING TO SEE THAT AD!

Have you ever seen one of those FFA sites? They are peppered with thousands of ads all struggling to be seen! There are literally all kinds of ads, of all shapes, sizes and colors; ads that wink at you and ads that glitter so bright they'd make a supernova blush with shame!

The bottom line is that posting to an FFA site is an exercise in futility. Out of all those countless ads residing on that site what are the chances that yours is going to be singled out and reviewed? **End Summary** Topics: internet traffic advertising internet marketers internet advertising
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Internet Home Business Tips</a>

With One Stroke Google Shuts Down Adsense Arbitrage For Good!

Isn't it interesting how every time that Google clamps down on Adsense/Adwords arbitrage a flurry of fantastic and irresistible (for newbie marketers that is) arbitrage offers suddenly flood the internet? But more on that later, for now let me explain what Adsense arbitrage is just in case you don't know.

Google runs the largest and most popular pay-per-click advertising model on the internet, commonly known as Google Adwords. The attraction of Google Adwords and other pay-per-click models is that you can draw almost instantaneous traffic to your website or blog. This is extremely convenient for those webmasters whose sites are new because getting relevant traffic to your internet real estate is perhaps the biggest challenge for most new internet marketers.

Pay-per-click advertising models such as Google Adwords require the advertiser to bid a certain amount on a particular keyword in order to get their ad strategically located on the SERPs (search engine results pages). For a better/higher placement of your ad on the SERPs you need to bid more for whatever keyword you're targeting. Every time someone clicks on an advertiser's ad, they are immediately transferred to the desired destination url that the advertiser designated when setting up that ad. **End Summary** Topics: adsense google adsense searcg engine adwords google adwords adsense arbitrage pay per click ad
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Internet Marketing Online</a>

Last Gasp Of Black Hat SEO!

Yes indeedy! Judgment Day is visited unto the black hat seo brethren with a mighty vengeance that was foretold from the day the first scroll of code was writ in script!

Okay, enough with the pseudo biblical babble and down to business. Just in case you are not conversant with the term black hat seo, here's a brief explanation:

Black hat seo methods are search engine optimization techniques and strategies that fall outside the guidelines and purview of the major search engines with the intent of manipulating the position of one's website to a far more strategic location on those search engines' results index.

The objective of this type of seo is to game the search engines in order to attract a ton of internet traffic in as short a time frame as possible. The opposite of black hat seo is known as white hat seo. Most cream-of-the-crop black hat seo practitioners have cloaking, coding and programming skills and employ(ed) self-designed software to game the search engines.

Black hat seo techniques by their very nature are short-lived and the black hatters are well aware of this. **End Summary** Topics: seo black hat seo search engines search engine serps seo techniques internet marketer
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Internet Marketing Strategy</a>

Paris Hilton's Day Of The Platter

Paris Hilton once quipped that she embodies the very essence of American Royalty, as she flung her arms in the air and did a little twirl for the enchanted crowd (okay, admittedly the arm flinging and twirling bit are an embellishment of mine but very believable, no? The rest though is based on true fact).

So there we have it.

Britain had "The People's Princess" (the late Princess Diana) who it cannot be denied at least had class (though I'm not sure The House of Windsor would necessarily agree) and The United States has "The American Princess" (Paris Hilton I, self-styled Princess of America) who most will agree, what she lacks in good taste and class she more than overcompensates for with questionable choices and an overabundance of crass.

HER ROYAL HILTON: PRINCESS PARIS I OF VEGAS

There is little doubt that Paris Hilton strongly believes in her royal status, so much so, that she felt justified and strongly compelled to petition Gov. Schwarzenegger of California for a gubernatorial pardon concerning her 45-day sentence for flagrantly disregarding the law in yet another driving violation. **End Summary** Topics: paris hilton paris princess diana american princess paris hilton day princess paris
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Internet Business Mart</a>

Professional snipers (and well equipped soldiers for that matter) use night goggles or night scopes to sight their targets.

When driving at night people flick on their headlights (unless of course you're Paris Hilton) so that they can see where they are going.

Veteran online marketers use sophisticated tracking software and scripts to analyze and evaluate the results of their marketing campaigns and promotions.

The average everyday internet marketer effects their marketing strategy on hearsay, hope, trial and error! You don't have to be a genius to figure out what's wrong with that picture.

However, in defense of the average struggling marketer, until fairly recently, having access to top-of-the-line tracking software meant shelling out a hefty monthly or yearly fee. In other words it was only well established marketers with bottomless deep pockets who could afford to use such software.

But that has all changed! Now anybody and everybody who so wishes has access to such software; for free no less!

Global Warming-How It Could Spark World War III

These Days global warming is a very hot topic and little wonder, seeing as the earth grows hotter with each passing year.

For a long time now the effect of man's industrialization and technological progress has quietly yet continuously eked away at the delicate balance of the planet's atmosphere and ecosystem, but within the last 30 or so years the pace of this damage has markedly accelerated!

DOWNPLAYING GLOBAL WARMING

In much the same way that big tobacco once vehemently denied the association between cigarette smoking and lung cancer, for the longest time a number of multi-billion-dollar-a-year industries have also been questioning the existence of global warming and misleading the public about its reality.

In fact the Bush II years have been particular devastating to Environmental Protection Rights, yet staggeringly lucrative for those who would profit from the loss of such protection.

In what can best be described as an orgy-fest of self-congratulatory backslapping, many a heavyweight lobbyist for industries such as oil, coal, mining, logging, aviation and auto manufacturers have left the Bush Whitehouse grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat because they'd gotten firm assurance that pesky environmental laws would never get in the way of business as usual! **End Summary** Topics: global warming effects of global warming greenhouse gases greenhouse gas global warming myth
About the Author:
Learn more with these <a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com/global-warming.htm">Global Warming Resources</a>

Unless you've just recently returned from a protracted space furlough cruising around the solar system, you are probably aware that the current Undisputed Heavy Weight Champ of Search is none other than Google a/k/a The Big Dawg of Search! What you may not know however, is how much of a Champ of Search they really are. Recent surveys and polls list Google as hogging more than a whopping 60% of global search market share.

In order to best understand how to keep your website in Google's good graces you first need to know what their ultimate goal is, or that of any search engine for that matter.

SEARCH IS BIG BUSINESS

Search is a huge money-generating business and not merely a 20th century tool that enables you to conduct research while you slouch on your couch. So how big is the search industry really? Well let's put it this way; in the year of 2006, online advertising racked up revenue in excess of $16.7 billion dollars and is expected to reach $45 billion in the next five years. Impressive huh?

Anyway these figures should give you some idea of the stakes involved in the search engine industry. **End Summary** Topics: seo search engine online advertising money-generating business serps
About the Author:
Internet Business Mart: The website that provides marketing solutions and tips . <a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Internet Marketing Online</a>

Patterns Of Gorilla Intelligence And That Of The Other Great Apes

The use of tools in the wild by chimpanzees has been observed and well established for some time now and in fact recently chimps have also been observed successfully hunting lemurs with crude yet self-crafted spears. On the other hand tool use by gorillas in the wild has been little observed and certainly not to the same extent or sophistication as their more rambunctious cousins, the chimpanzee. So then do these observations lay to rest once and for all the age old quandary about "which species of ape is second to man in intelligence"?

PATTERNS OF INTELLIGENCE

It is now recognized that certain regions of the human brain play a more significant role in the processes of functional memory, emotional behavior, creative thought, motor control (movement), planning and decision making as well as language. The aspect of the brain most closely associated with such processes is the frontal lobe.

Many of the sophisticated behavioral patterns and attributes characteristic of humans are believed to originate from the frontal lobe and in fact this area of the brain has been identified as the most likely candidate responsible for species-specific cognitive ability and characteristics. **End Summary** Topics: gorilla gorillas chimpanzee chimp orangutan bonobo gibbon ape great apes great ape chimps
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of

How To Get Your Site Googled Quickly And Cheaply

Not so long ago there was a booming cottage industry that catered to novice internet marketers who were in a bat-outta-hell rush to get their websites indexed by Google.

The purveyors of those services that catered to the burgeoning get-indexed-quickly-by-Google crowd usually directed internet marketing newbies to buy expensive one-way links for the duration of one month from high page rank websites or more specifically, high PR web pages.

Such links commonly cost as much as $800/month (not an expense for the faint of heart, as you can see). But why would someone shell out that kind of money for one measly link?

MYTH 1: BEING INDEXED BY GOOGLE MEANS LOTS OF TRAFFIC

A lot of new marketers think that once they've got their site indexed by Google, they can sit back, relax, kick off their shoes and contentedly watch the show of internet traffic snaking its way to their website. If you happen to have been (or still are) a student of this school of thought take consolation in the fact that you were (are) not alone, not by a long shot!

When he was captured in the African country of Equatorial Guinea in 1966 (or '67 depending on the source), he was proclaimed a miracle by the local villagers. But the real miracle was the fact that he managed to live to the ripe old age of 40 (80 in human years).

HIS NAME WAS SNOWFLAKE AND THIS IS HIS STORY

Snowflake's first encounter with Lady Luck was when he was discovered as an orphaned gorilla by a hunter. Whether the particulars of his discovery are accurate or not, what is not in question is the good fortune that landed him in the hands of a Spanish naturalist for the princely sum of sixty pounds.

Snowflake suffered from a condition known as albinism (individuals with this condition are referred to as albinos) which occurs in individuals who lack the pigment melanin. Albinos typically have very pale skin and are also very sensitive to the sun and light in general.

There are those who may argue that it was misfortune rather than fortune that ultimately landed Snowflake in captivity, but the reality is, an albino gorilla would have next to no chance of surviving in the wild. **End Summary** Topics: gorilla gorillas albino gorilla white gorilla ghost gorilla
About the Author:
GorillHub.com

If you didn't attend the funeral of Google Adsense despair not, because you are not alone. Though much has been written about the untimely death of Adsense, the truth of the matter is that Google Adsense is alive and very well.

If you are new to the whole Google-Adsense-Is-Dead brouhaha let's tread back in time a little to get you up to speed. Cutting a somewhat long story short, what you need to be aware of is that in the waning months of 2005 Google made a few select tweaks to its Adsense algorithm that effectively pulled the plug on Adsense Joy riders (Adsense scammers).

The Adsense Joy riders were the folks who were pulling in huge Adsense revenues by directing tons of irrelevant traffic to their Adsense-template sites (Adsense-specific optimized sites). So how were the Adsense joy riders able to corral such tremendous amounts of traffic? Simple! Just pay for thousands of visitors to their sites for a nominal fee; e.g., they could get 100,000 visitors directed to their sites for about $100 bucks!

For the Adsense joy rider it mattered little whether those visitors constituted relevant traffic or not; **End Summary** Topics: adsense google adsense adsense templates adsense revenue adsense ads search engine
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Adsense Revenue Tips</a>

Internet Marketing Boon Galvanized By Fast-Paced Today

The year 1873 was a pivotal moment in history for the little-known fact that it was then the man who was described as knowing-all-that-there-is-to-know-in-the-world, died. That man was renowned British economist and philosopher, John Stuart Mill.

Unquestionably John Stuart Mill was an exceptionally intelligent, well-read and knowledgeable individual, but to ascribe him the ability of knowing-all-that-there-is-to-know-in-the-world, even in 1873, is to put it mildly, truly stretching the limits of belief.

Today of course such a notion is outright laughable. Change in the world is occurring ever rapidly, information updates even faster, so much so that the newest stress burden we have to deal with in the infant 21st century is information overload.

Victims of Our Own Progress

Since time immemorial (okay...that's a bit of an exaggeration) sci-fi movies and novels have predicted our inevitable demise at the hands of our greatest creation...robots that can think! Sure we haven't quite got to that point yet and the jury is still out whether we ever will, but point of note here is how often we tend to wrongly predict the results of our technological breakthroughs.

Remember the myth of the paperless office? **End Summary** Topics: internet marketing internet marketing strategy internet marketer internet marketing opportunities
About the Author:
Find More Internet Marketing Strategies At InternetBusinessMart.com <a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com">Internet Marketing Advice</a>

Halo-Effective Internet Marketing

Research has shown that good-looking people have a distinctly unfair advantage in contemporary society over their not-so-attractive counterparts. This unfair advantage is what is known as the Halo Effect!

What Is The Halo Effect?

The halo effect describes our natural tendency to be much more trusting, tolerant and compliant towards good-looking individuals in contrast to the not-so-attractive...or in other words to be inordinately biased in a positive manner to people who are good-looking.

This has far reaching consequences, especially in the work place, as illustrated by the commonplace manner in which employers routinely employ more attractive applicants before the less-attractive, sometimes even when the less-attractive applicant is better qualified!

In fact the ramifications of the halo effect are now understood to be a lot more extensive than previously thought.

For example we now know that people reflexively and subconsciously ascribe positive traits such as honesty, kindness, intelligence and talent to good-looking individuals whether or not such traits actually exist!

1st Impressions Really Do Count!

You've probably come across or heard the saying "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover".

Well the simple fact of the matter is that people do just that! **End Summary** Topics: internet marketing online business marketing
About the Author:
Internet Business Mart Tips <a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com/sizzling-look-super-sales.htm">Halo-Effective Internet Marketing Tips</a>

With the Harry Potter juggernaut chugging merrily along, almost anyone worth their weight in bat wingtip soup has dived into the fray of hot, bubbling pottering action. And that includes drug dealers no less! Heck, they aren't about to miss out on a good thing!

Not to be left out of the Harry Potter drama-rama, New York drug dealers have started peddling ecstasy pills engraved with Harry Potter book and movie images. One can only speculate that their train of thought must progress along the lines that the success of the runaway Potter behemoth must surely rub off in some way on their products, even if in only some miniscule manner; after all, in Potter Universe, small magically transforms into a respectably impressive amount in Muggleworld.

That said, it is evident that these guys aren't too savvy when it comes to demographics. Even if utilizing super-elastic mind-stretch, it's hard to picture the average Harry Potter fan cavorting and gyrating wildly in some hip nightclub, as the image of their idol slowly fizzles to sweet dreamy nothings deep inside of them.

Still, anything is possible, especially when it comes to the Potter phenomenon. **End Summary** Topics: harry potter
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of PotterHub.com <a href="http://www.potterhub.com">Harry Potter Merchandise</a>

How To Insure A Sustainable Gorilla Future

By the end of the 1980's the world population of mountain gorillas was on the verge of extinction. In 2004 a census report (the first since 1989) revealed that in the virunga-mountain region the gorilla population had increased by 17%.

Though this has to count as one of the great conservation success stories like almost all the other great apes, gorillas are still endangered. Some subspecies are in fact listed as critically endangered, and unless a concerted worldwide effort is made, this magnificent species will unfortunately go the way of the Dodo.

The reason why this has to be a worldwide effort may not be immediately obvious, so let's first identify the current and most pervasive threats to the gorilla.

BUSHMEAT TRADE -- Although wild animal meat has long been part of the staple diet of indigenous forest dwellers, the rate at which these animals are being slaughtered has reached alarming new levels. This increase is most likely a direct consequence of deforestation. As things stand today the bushmeat trade is the single greatest threat to the survival of the gorilla. **End Summary** Topics: gorilla gorilla conservation gorillas
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka runs GorillaHub.com

How To Apply The Less-Equals-More Principle For More Effective Marketing

Conventional wisdom normally dictates that more is better than less, but as far as online marketing goes, a good rule of thumb is to toss conventional wisdom screaming and pleading out the 21st floor window and rather abide by the Less-Equals-More Principle that has many points of application in web marketing. But first let me back track a little to better explain the paradox that is this principle.

Okay it's a no-brainer that it's better to have more than less; be a "Have-More" (as the 43rd President of the United States so smugly described his rich guests at a speech once) than a plain commoner; have more money than less; have several cars rather than one; have two or more homes as opposed to a single abode of residence; have a different wife for each day of the week than just the one. (Whoa! Just kidding about that last one, though there're cultures where that is the norm.)

Anyway the list is virtually endless and I could go on practically forever, but I'm sure you get the picture I'm painting here--that generally speaking "More" beats out "Less", except, as previously stated, in the applied science of internet marketing. **End Summary** Topics: internet marketing internet marketing strategy online marketing less-equals-more principle
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of

Hailing from parts unknown and circumstances that could be best described as humble, for quite some time now, the Keyword Meta-Tag with its better known younger sibling, referred to in the business as The Keyword (a la rapper style)or simply "The Word" by close associates and friends, have dominated the SEO stage with energy, style, wit and unmistakable charisma. But while The Keyword's star continues to soar high as ever, that of its lesser sibling, Keyword Meta-Tag, is sadly on the decline. Here then is the fascinating tale of these former SEO superstar brothers and one-time search engine darlings.

Some years ago, back when search engine algorithms were as functional and complicated as the androids depicted in B-movies from the late seventies, The Keyword and Keyword Meta-Tag began to take the SEO world by storm. Webmasters realized that they could manipulate their websites' rankings by tweaking the Keyword Meta-Tag. How? By inserting as many targeted keywords in the Keyword Meta-tag, they figured that they could influence the rankings of said websites by confusing the rather simple search engine algorithms of the time into incorrectly identifying their websites as qualified for those keywords; **End Summary** Topics: seo targeted keyword keywords keyword meta-tag search engine search engines
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.internetbusinessmart.com/kiss-your-keyword-meta-tag-goodby.htm">Internet Marketing SEO Tips</a>

The sign on the door said AAA. This had to be it. I inched the door open and was instantly overcome by a tsunami sound wave of chanting: YES SIR! ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR! YES SIR! ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR!

Whoa! What had I gotten myself into? What was this, some kinda cult?

Alright I'll admit it. I'm an addict--an adsense junkie! But it was counseling I needed not some nutters' army! I tried to ease my way out without being noticed, but too late, the bald dude on the podium noticed me. He beckoned me forward with a flick of his hand. I approached cautiously and started up the steps but he practically shoved me back. I could see why, he couldn't have been an inch over five foot; I'd tower over him if we stood side by side--not the best situation if you're trying to be an effective commanding officer. Commanding officer--huh? I guess the atmosphere was contagious.

"NAME?" he bellowed.
"Marc Ting," I replied somewhat timidly.
"SAY WHAT?" he barked showering me with a fine mist spray of spittle.
"MARC K. TING, SIR!" I shot back. By the close of 2005 the big kahuna, the absolute capo di tutti frutti of search was Google which commanded a whopping 46-47 percent of all searches conducted online. The runner up was Yahoo with about 25 % and followed distantly by MSN who conducted about 11.4 % of all searches. AOL boasted a paltry 6.9 % which still came to a not insubstantial 350 million searches. Not too long ago I used to preach and practice that you should "Never register your domain name through your web hosting company however attractive the deal might appear" Why? Because in the past it was not uncommon for web hosts to react somewhat angrily to the idea of you transferring those ooooh so delicious annual registration fees to a competitor.

But times have changed, the web has matured, web hosting services have matured. Most recognize the fact that the big bucks come with providing quality service.

And what's more some very reputable web hosting companies provide some very attractive domain registration packages coupled with hosting.

So go ahead and take advantage of those cheap domain registration/web hosting packages just as long as the hosting company is well known and reputable.
If you ever do find yourself in a domain transfer battle you can contact the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). **End Summary** Topics: domain name registration domain name domain internet domain name
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of

How To Beat The Google Sandbox

The Google Sandbox is an algorithmic filter designed by Google and implemented around March 2004 with the purpose of weeding out spam sites by placing all new websites under quarantine for a period of assessment.

How Does The Google Sandbox Affect Your New Site?

Although the Google sandbox was designed with the primary aim of targeting spam sites, in reality it affects all new websites. The general consensus in SEO (search engine optimization) circles is that the Google sandbox algorithm functions to prevent new sites from blasting their way to the top of Google (using whatever means possible) and in effect overtaking quality websites that have been around for years.

WHICH SITES GET SANDBOXED?

All new sites are subjected to a period of quarantine.

HOW LONG WILL YOUR SITE REMAIN IN THE GOOGLE SANDBOX?

As far as Google is concerned not all new sites are born equal. Certain factors will determine the length of your website's duration in the Google sandbox. If the keywords your website is targeting are highly competitive then your website will be quarantined for longer. If you think about it, this approach makes sense. **End Summary** Topics: google sandbox what is the google sandbox effect
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of

To get a bucket load of internet traffic is the goal of every internet marketer but unfortunately it's easier said than achieved. The question at hand then (especially if you are new to internet marketing) is how do you increase internet traffic to your site?

There are three fundamental ways to get internet traffic to your site. Some of these methods have fairly rapid results, some are more long term and some are free while others will require you dipping into your pocket. Okay here goes...the following are the three main methods to increase internet traffic to your site:

1. Paying For Internet Traffic: In an ideal world it would simply be a case of build it and then they'll come. But as you are well aware this world of ours is far from ideal...so unfortunately you are going to have to sweat a little to get that online traffic! I'm sure like most of us you really don't want to pay for internet traffic (who does? **End Summary** Topics: internet traffic online traffic free internet traffic how to increase web site traffic traffic
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of

Getting Your Visitors To Do Your Bidding

You probably know by now how important it is to have an opt-in list--but do you really understand the driving force behind it? If you don't, no matter because that's what this article is about--explaining the psychological engine powering your opt-in list.

1. Building A Bond

If a total stranger walked up to you and gave you some pitch about how they've developed some incredible new system that's making them a ton of money--and how, for a small price, they are willing to cut you in on their goldmine--would you bite? Probably not!

Now let's look at that scenario from a different perspective. In place of a stranger, the person giving you the pitch is someone you've had positive dealings with before--someone you know and trust. Aren't you more likely to say yes in this case?

Unfortunately the first scenario is the one most affiliate marketers pursue--attempting to get a total stranger to purchase without any previous contact! No wonder so many fail.

Bottom line--it doesn't matter if what you're pitching is King Midas' touch itself! **End Summary** Topics: internet marketing course internet marketing strategy free internet marketing course free ebook
About the Author:
Ba Kiwanuka is the webmaster of
