Deleted Pictures from Sony Hi-MD

Photo Recovery becomes essential when pictures have been lost or deleted due to some reason. People are always worried that photos stored on the computer could get lost due to unforeseen errors. Taking a back-up is always the best precaution. But when images are stored on any external drive, we seldom think of taking back-ups.

MiniDiscs are magneto-optical storage devices which were originally designed to store a large number of audio files. Sony has developed the Hi-MD which also allows storage of photos (and other data) along with audio on it. This made storing pictures off the computer far easier as well as more compact, since the MiniDisc is smaller in size than CDs, DVDs, etc. The most promising part of any external disk is that data stored on it is safe from computer viruses and other such problems. But even these drives are not disaster-free.

Picture a scenario where you have been saving photos on your MiniDisc and one day you accidentally delete all the images. Since you stored it on an external device, you haven't gotten a back-up.

When we take images on any external device, it has become human tendency to think that they are safe. **End Summary** Topics: photo deleted digital Mac lost photos recover recovery software
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery software , photo recovery, recover photos and Mac photo recovery.

Some days back, I had friends over for a sort of reunion. And as at all reunions, we had the fun and frolic, the food and dance, and a long walk down memory lane!!! All those old pictures, videos, the silly things we did and the whole list of things we wished we did!! It was all there. The evening was going perfectly, until one of my friends decided to start a food fight!! A food fight in my house of all the places. We were looking at all the pictures and listening to the music on my laptop. So obviously when there were drinks and other things being thrown around from person to person, a lot of it fell on my laptop.

At the time when it happened I didn't realize that my laptop would be in any kind of trouble. It was after the party was over that I realized that there was coffee and a whole lot of other drinks like apple juice, mango juice etc fallen on the laptop. As if this was not enough, somebody must have accidentally dropped it, because the screen was broken. But this broken screen was the least of my problems!! **End Summary** Topics: Data recovery data recovery services hard drive recovery services data recovery New Jersey
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery, data recovery New Jersey , data recovery services and hard drive recovery services .

Film camera pictures on a CD—deleted

Film cameras have been with us for years. Even the onset of the digital photography age has not wiped out film cameras. Infact it is safe to say that even today many people, have their childhood photos on print, negatives and film rolls. Some of us have gone ahead and converted those images to digital formats. There are numerous places to get this done. The pictures are saved in JPEG format onto a CD and then one can use them just like any digital photo. The only problem being since it is saved on a CD, the chance of the pictures getting lost or damaged are high. Deleted photos can be recovered.

For example, the pictures you have saved on you CD are inaccessible because your CD is scratched.

A CD can get scratched due to a number of reasons. This makes the CD un-readable by the computer. Your pictures stored on the same are therefore inaccessible.

The CD has been damaged. The data on the CD too would be damaged. There are still several ways to get back your pictures in a digital format. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery digital photo recovery recover lost photos
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery , photo recovery software, deleted photos and Mac photo recovery.

Back-up on external drive inaccessible

Hard drive failures are a common phenomena in todays high-tech world! The more the data, the more the chances there are of losing it and finding it all completely irreplaceable. Hard drive failure doesn't only refer to the logical failure that the drive is put through, it also includes any other kind of damage to the drive. These damages could have been caused by nature (fire, water etc), or the drive could have been physically damaged (breaking, electric short circuit etc). Whenever a drive is damaged you should turn to a data recovery service for guidance to ensure that no further damage occurs to the same.

We hear it time and again “BACK UP YOUR DATA TO A DIFFERENT DRIVE!!” This is one of the most valuable pieces of advice one can bestow upon us. Besides taking back-ups on another system, one of the most common means of creating a backup is taking the back-up on an external hard drive. This proves to be far more efficient and more compact. Today there are a number of tools to assist us in doing the same. **End Summary** Topics: Data recovery data recovery services hard drive recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery, data recovery New Jersey , data recovery services and hard drive recovery services .

Photo Loss from an SD Card

Cameras are used for clicking some of the most memorable moments of our lives!!! Most people using digi-cams know that you can store pictures on your camera's in-built memory as well as an expandable memory i.e. the memory card. But you need to keep off-loading them to some other storage device lest the memory gets full. This being said the chances of amateurs or even professionals, carelessly forgetting to do it leads to problems which end up causing picture deletion.

The SD card, or Secure Digital Card, has proven itself to be one most effective cards, with it's increasing popularity, and its capacity ranging from 1 MB to 4 GB. This card is used in all kinds of cameras, cell phones and other portable devices. The card can easily be connected to the computer using a card reader (or if a direct slot is available, then directly). Since the storage capacity is so varied, a lot of devices prefer this card type over many others. But no matter how popular a device gets, problems are bound to follow suite!! And problems with the SD could mean pictures and videos stored thereon being lost for good. **End Summary** Topics: Sd Card Recovery Memory Card Recovery Memory Card Recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers memory card recovery, SD card recovery , card recovery and card recovery software .

Software corruption leads to system crash

The computer is now a part of every humans life. Since computers and softwares go hand in hand, where you find computers, you're bound to find software—at least one if not more!! Softwares have been developed for all kinds of purposes. Softwares are used to design, write, create new software, and a whole lot of other things.

Softwares can be divided into three broad categories:

System Software: These are softwares which help the system run, one could also call them operating softwares. Microsoft Windows, GNU, Mac OS X are examples of it.
Programming Software: These are software which are used by people to create other software.
Application Software: These are what we commonly call “software” or “application” like MS Paint Brush, MS Word, Adobe PhotoShop etc.

It's therefore only natural that when you have something doing so much “work”, it will die out someday!! Most of the times it dies out without causing any problem to the computer system, but sometimes the System Software could have a problem and renders the data on it inaccessible. This is where Data Recovery New Jersey service can come to your rescue. **End Summary** Topics: Data recovery New Jersey hard drive recovery services
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery, data recovery New Jersey , data recovery services and hard drive recovery services .

How to Recover Data from Nikon D90 Supported Memory Cards

Nikon D90 with features including 12.3 megapixel CCD, 200-3200 ISO, 3 inch LCD, and auto dust removal system stores its picture and video files on SD memory cards. As is the case with any other sort of external storage devices, data lost or deleted from SD cards are lost or deleted for good, because they do go to the Trash or Recycle Bin to get recovered.

One can hope for recovery of the data through a data backup process. There are, however, instances when this ready-made facility cannot help. Then arises the need of using certain memory card recovery software.

Suppose, your memory card has popped out of your camera, or you have accidentally switched your camera off, or stumbled on your USB cable and kicked the plug off its slot while transferring some just-clicked photos from your SD card to your PC. Any of these errors will do certain logical damage to your card leading ultimately to the loss of the photos. After this error, attempts to access the card will prompt some error message like 'This memory card cannot be used', 'Card may be damaged', or 'Insert another card' repeatedly on your monitor. **End Summary** Topics: Memory Card Recovery Memory Card Recovery Software
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers memory card recovery, memory card recovery software , card recovery and card recovery software .

Photo Deletion from the new Sony H20

Sony cybershot cameras are known for their superior picture quality and high resolution. The Sony H20, comes with a Carl-Zeiss Vario-Tessar 10x optical zoom lens. The camera has a 3 inch LCD display enabling viewers to clearly view the shot being taken. Although the camera is not exactly the smallest in it's league in the market, it is neatly packaged and quite compact. The H20 uses the Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo Flash memory.

The camera has a face detection feature which can tell apart a child's face from that of an adult. The feature also enables the user to set the camera such that it can focus on a particular person's face whenever they are in the frame. Cyber-shot H20 also sports in-camera re-touching options like red-eye correction, retro style, partial color, trimming etc. It also has the scene recognition feature which auto-adjusts the settings for the kind of scene being clicked. All these feature means that the chances that you may accidentally delete pictures from the camera are high!!! In case you do end up in the sticky situation like that, just use a photo recovery software and salvage your photos. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery digital photo recovery reover lost photos
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery , photo recovery software, recover deleted photos and Mac photo recovery.

Recover Lost Data From Canon EOS 50D Supported Memory Cards

Canon EOS 50D is compatible with both Type I and II CF memory cards. In spite of your professional care above such cards' built-in data safeguard technologies, human fallibility like unmindfulness and absent-mindedness always creeps in committing some device mishandling errors resulting in logical damage of device leading in turn to data loss. Sometimes too serious, such loss makes your computer's data backup program useless. Then, we use some Memory card recovery software.

Suppose, you were your press's only photographer who photographed a terrorist attack of a hotel in the city a few minutes back. This incident being of national interest is of great importance. Proud of your skillful sure and striking shot, your office is now greedily awaiting your enlightening photos. Back at office, you are startled to find your memory card empty. That is really shocking as a man and shameful as a professional.

Cause:

If you used a wholesome and compatible card when taking the photos, any of the following may have caused this mysterious loss:

1.unmindfully deleting the photos,

2.unmindfully formatting your card,

3.removing the card from camera while you were reviewing your shots,

4.contact error,

5. **End Summary** Topics: Memory Card Recovery Memory Card Recovery Software
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers memory card recovery , card recovery, memory card recovery software and Memory card data recovery software.

What is Media Surface Contamination

The hard drive platters are where all the data from our computer system is stored. The data is saved in sectors on the platter. As known to one and all, the components of a hard drive are extremely sensitive. The slightest damage to them has serious and irreversible consequences. Most of the times the outcome of the problem is data loss. This data can however be recovered by data recovery services.

Naturally since the platter is where all the information is stored, it is the most vital part of the drive. A slight scratch on it could lead to a hard drive failure. The 'head' reads and writes data from and to the platter. It is separated from the latter by a very thin air cushion. This gap keeps decreasing with the advent of newer technologies.

Media Surface Contamination is the contamination of the platter for any reason whatsoever. Minute particles settling on the surface of the platter, lead to this problem. The damage is caused because when dust or any other particles settle on the platter, the distance between it and the head reduces. This causes the head to 'crash' into the platter and scratch the surface. **End Summary** Topics: data recovery data recovery services hard drive recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery , hard drive recovery, data recovery services and data recovery New Jersey.

Photo Recovery from a Flash Drive

A Flash memory is a particular type of technology used to store data digitally. The data stored on it can be written and erased electrically using cameras, computers cell phones etc. Today you will find a number of flash drives available in the markets—whether they are Flash drives, flash cards, etc. The technology they use is the same. Added to this is the fact that one does not need any kind of an additional software to run a flash device. As with all hard disks, the Flash too uses a particular file format. Earlier flash drives used FAT 12 or FAT 16, today they have switched over to FAT 32. This means that the device is not far from facing problems related to over-writing or any sort of physical damage.

Today it is most commonly used to store photos. The drive getting damaged means that photos can get deleted. Since no storage device is safe, one can rest assured that you can use a photo recovery software to recover lost photos.

For example, when you are using a camera with a Compact flash(CF) card, and you suddenly pull out the card just after taking a shot. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery recover deleted photos
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery , photo recovery software, recover deleted photos and Mac photo recovery.

In the past couple of years, USA has seen a number of hurricanes and floods. Natures furry seems to be unleashing itself every now and then, and destroying not only lives and houses but the hard work of many. Forget the hurricanes and floods, your own house is no less of a threat to data stored on storage devices!!! It's a common situation many of us seem to face in our day to day lives—coffee falling on our computer, the laptop falling into water, etc etc.

For most of us today, computers and laptops have become probably the most vital machines in our lives!! If your car gets damaged you can buy a new one. If your laptop gets damaged, you can again buy a new one, but what about the data that was on it?? You can't possibly buy that, can you? This data can be salvaged with the help of data recovery services.

For example, if your laptop falls in the water after a rain. **End Summary** Topics: Data recovery data recovery services hard drive recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery services , data recovery, hard drive recovery and data recovery New Jersey.

The new Sony Cyber-shot, DSC-W 220, made its way into the markets early this year. The camera has a sporty new feature and is well designed for amateurs in particular. It is perfect for those who forget to change settings or beginners who are confused about the right setting to be used at that particular time. The camera has a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x zoom lens which makes it even more alluring. As with all digital cameras, the W 220 stores it's data on a memory card, the Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo Media Card. While the camera comes with all the excitement of saving a whole lot of memories etc, it also comes with the worry of losing them due to some silly mistake!!! If that ever happens, you can relax and use a photo recovery software and safely recover deleted pictures.

For example, if while taking pictures on the W 220, you get the sign that your memory card is full. You simply pull out the card and put in a new one. It's what anyone would do!! When you go home and try to upload the pictures from the old card, you are unable to view any pictures. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery Photo recovery software
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery , photo recovery software, recover deleted photos and Mac photo recovery.

PCB/Logic Board damage in a laptop

Laptops today have almost replaced computers for many people. They are smaller, lighter and today are available with almost the same amount of space etc as the traditional desktops were. Their smaller size also makes it more complicated to diagnose and repair damages that they may face. Laptops too use a hard disk but the components of this hard disk drive are much smaller than those of a computer. The reason is obvious—it has all the components of a computer (mouse, keyboard, monitor, and CPU) all wrapped up in one unit.

A laptop, like a computer also has several components within it's hard drive. Probably one of the most important of them all is the PCB/Logic Board. This is what connects all the other various components of the hard drive. It is further made up of minute components. These components are highly sensitive. The slightest damage could have dire consequences. Generally when we have a problem with the laptop, we simply get a new one. If one's lucky he/she would have the chance to backup data. And if not then they just settle for data loss thinking that there is nothing that can be done. **End Summary** Topics: Data recovery data recovery services
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery , hard drive recovery service, data recovery services and data recovery New Jersey.

Recover Photos from CF Cards

CF cards are among the most convenient data storage devices used in several hundreds of digital cameras and many other portable digital devices. CF cards are protected by their built-in data safeguard technologies. In spite of their safety measures, these storage media can any time be mishandled damaging them logically causing loss of data they hold.

Data lost from CF cards are generally considered lost forever if Backup utility of the computer cannot recover them. If the data lost are so important that they cannot be let to get lost, there arises the need of using certain specially developed Digital Photo Recovery Software.

Suppose, you have secretly taken pictures of your friend's wedding. Now, while you are transferring those photos to your PC, you have absentmindedly removed your card from the camera. Alarmed, you reload the card and try to continue the process. But, now your card is inaccessible. Any access attempt prompts some error message signaling damage or corruption of the card repeatedly on the monitor. So, you are at a loss!

Cause:

Any improper interruption of active data transfer or read/write process leads to improper termination of the process causes logical damage to the storage media. **End Summary** Topics: photo recovery digital photo recovery Mac photo recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery , photo recovery software, digital photo recovery and Mac photo recovery.

Bad Sectors Causing computer to run slow

The computer's hard disk drive is full of sectors. This is where all the information we save on our system gets recorded to. Some sectors may have undergone permanent damage. These are knows as bad sectors. They basically are sectors, which due to some damage can no longer be written to. One can easily detect Bad Sectors on the system using utility softwares like CHKDSK or SCANDISK (Microsoft) or Badblocks (Unix-like systems). They are marked as unusable by the programs and the OS then does not save information on them. The OS then saves the information to a new location or rather a new sector.

Problem:

When a system detects bad sectors it generally means that it has run out of spare sectors where the data can be written to. This means that the computer memory is running low. Simply putting it, this means that when you want to save any information, the computer will take a long time to figure out where to save that particular data.

However one must remember to take back-up of data as soon as you find bad sectors. This is just a precaution as bad sectors cause system file corruption. **End Summary** Topics: data recovery services hard drive recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Data Recovery Inc. which offers data recovery, data recovery services , data recovery New Jersey and hard drive recovery .

While SD cards are one of the most convenient storage media used in many digital cameras, data stored on them are never loss-proof. This means that photos on SD cards may get lost any time due to any factor that can cause any logical or physical damage to them. This article discusses logical damage of SD memory cards and the resulting photo loss.

Photos can get lost in many technically severe conditions. There are times, too, when severe photo loss conditions render the computer's Backup program useless. At such times, people look out for some sort of Photo Recovery software.

Suppose, while you, flying back home from your Venice trip, are viewing your masterpiece like shots on your camera, you accidentally delete one of the invaluable photos, say the Rialto Bridge. Each photo has its unique irreplaceable value even if several thousands of pictures can be taken of the same subject. Way back home, you are not even in that position. In fact, you have lost one masterpiece!

Cause:

Technically, a memory car is not part of a camera or computer. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery Photo recovery software digital photo recovery Mac photo recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology field doing research in Stellar Info System Ltd which offers photo recovery , digital photo recovery, photo recovery software and Mac photo recovery.

Known variously as hard disk or hard disk drive or shortly HDD, a hard drive is a non-volatile storage device that stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces.

Though the safest digital data storage device so far, data stored on the hard drive, say photos, are always exposed to the danger of loss or corruption. No matter how they get lost or corrupted, in any case the computer's data backup program may be too inefficient to recover and restore the lost images. Finding oneself in such a fix, one starts to look out round for a rescuer in the form of some magical digital photo recovery software.

In fact, photographers, specially novices, are very frequently jolted to find their image folders empty or inaccessible, or the whole partition holding the images corrupted or and inaccessible. There are many possible factors that can make you end up in this shock.

Causes:

The possible causes of the above problem include:

accidental deletion of the images or image folder,
accidental formatting of the partition or the entire hard drive,
virus infection, etc.

Solution:

Out of two possible solutions, If you have created a data backup of your system earlier. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery Photo recovery software digital photo recovery Mac photo recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology researching with Stellar Info.
The professional Canon EOS-1D DSLR takes images in RAW and JPEG formats, and store them on its storage media of Type I and II CF cards. In spite of their built-in data safeguard technologies, CF cards can anytime get logically damaged leading to loss of photos. The computer's built-in data backup program may sometimes not be able to recover photos thus lost. Then comes a need to look round for some effective photo recovery tools.

Sometimes photographers, specially novices, are jolted when they find their memory cards empty when they, just back home from the shooting schedule, try to view or transfer them for further photographic processes.

A very common and convenient type of storage media, pen-drives belong to the USB flash drive family. Compatible with all modern operating systems, they allow one million write or erase cycles and can retain data for ten years. In spite of this long retention duration, data loss is a very common shocking experience associated with pen-drives.

This article discusses in what conditions can photos bet lost from pen-drives, and provides a couple of photo recovery solutions with the steps to be followed.

Let us take a scenario. Suppose, you have taken pictures of one of your friends' marriage ceremony as the only photographer. Concerned about the safety of the photos against the possible data loss risks characteristic of memory cards, you have transferred them to your home computer and in your habitually unmindful manner cut and pasted them on your pen-drive to take it to your studio. There you absentmindedly instead of refreshing reformatted it. Now, it is all over! The photos are complete gone! You are at a loss.

Cause:

Pen-drives are an external device, but not part of the computer. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery Photo recovery software digital photo recovery Mac photo recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology researching with Stellar Info.

Hard drives are highly sensitive devices. They have a whole lot of components fitted into them. These parts are the main 'foundations' on which our systems run. A failure of any part could cause permanent damage to the data stored in our systems or worse could cause permanent loss of the same. Most users today are careful and take all the necessary precautions to ensure that the hard drive is 'healthy' and in perfect condition. Simple precautions like making sure it is away from heat and dust, or ensuring that no liquid spills on the system etc all help in making sure that the data in our computer remains safe. While shifting our system from one place to another, we take pains of making sure that it does not get hit or fall and get damaged in the process. One gets a technician to repair any part which is making sounds in the hard drive.

Nature, however, still has an upper hand on technology. We can take all the precautions we can possibly think of and still when nature lashes out in all its fury, we have no control on it!! **End Summary** Topics: Data recovery services data recovery NJ data recovery New Jersey hard drive recovery services
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology researching with Stellar Info.
Software to Recover Photo, Audio and Video Files from USB Flash Drives

A USB flash drive consists of flash memory data storage device integrated with a USB 1.1 or 2.0 interface. Removable and rewritable, and weighing less than 30g, USB flash drives have storage capacities ranging from 16MB to 256 GB, one million write or erase cycles, and a 10-year data retention capacity. They are compatible with all modern operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and other Unix-like systems.

If data are lost or deleted from your flash drive, they are really lost, because they when deleted do not go to your Trash or Recycle Bin, for nothing moves mechanically in a flash drive. A flash-drive is an external device, but not a part of your computer. Computers simply read and write flash-drive data using the same system commands as for a mechanical disk drive, with the storage appearing to the computer operating system and user interface as just another drive (thus retaining the term 'drive' in flash-drive).

So, what happens if you have lost your photos from your flash drive from whatever cause it may be including, deletion, corruption and inaccessibility, formatting, etc.?

Commonly known by its short name SD card, a Secure Digital card is a non-volatile memory card format popularly used as storage media for portable electronic devices like digital cameras, digital camcorders, handheld computers, PDAs, media players, mobile phones, and GPS receivers.

While its convenient utility is solid, an SD card because of its logical pliability is prone to damage or corruption due to scores of human and mechanical errors. Damage or corruption of the card will eventually cause loss of your data stored on it, say your recent photos. If you cannot recover these photos through data backup process, an inbuilt facility on your computer or recent models of cameras, you will need to you certain powerful photo recovery software.

Suppose, you have accidentally stumbled on your USB cable kicking the plug off its slot, or switched your camera off, or you have ignorantly removed the card from your camera or card reader, the card accidentally popped out of your camera or reader while data transfer or read/write process is in progress. These mistakes will cause certain logical damage to your card resulting in its corruption and inaccessibility, meaning that your photos could not be retrieved. **End Summary** Topics: Photo recovery Photo recovery software digital photo recovery Mac photo recovery
About the Author:
Andrew Watson has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology researching with Stellar Info.
