Samsung Corby Pop C3510

Samsung, it seems, is determined to bring the cheapest touchscreen phones to the Indian market. The Samsung S3650 Corby saw moderate success even at its cheap price tag of around Rs. 10,000. Samsung has now decide to launch a scaled-down version of the extensively marketed Samsung S3650 Corby phone - The Corby Pop C3510. It is speculated to have most of the features of its predecessor and a retail price tag of around Rs. 7,000. This will take the low-budget touchscreen phone battle to a completely new level.

Samsung Corby Pop C3510

The complete feature set of the Corby Pop has not been announced yet, however rumors suggest that it will sport a 1.3-Megapixel Camera, 22MB internal memory and a strong Li-ion Battery suitable for a continuous conversation of as much as 8 hours! The Samsung Corby Pop also features a 2.8-inch touchscreen based on QVGA technology. It also has support for MP3 files and FM radio. The handset, like the S3650, will also have the trademark Samsung features such as ‘multi-instant messaging’ and support for social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. **End Summary** Topics: samsung corby pop C3510 buy samsung corby samsung corby pri
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Digital Cameras and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Store your Digicam Pictures Online with Picasa Web Albums

If you have a huge photo collection, then an online storage solution is very important. While hard drives might be getting cheaper, online storage gives you a safe place to keep your images unaffected by hard disk failures or viruses.

Google's Picasa Web Albums is a free service for storing and sharing your images online. It comes with a free quota of 1GB for storing your images or videos and provides a number of features such as face detection and automatic name tagging.

If you have been taking digital pictures for a while it is quite possible that 1Gb will not be sufficient for your collection and you will need more. In such a case, Google also provides paid storage for your images. For as little as $5 a year (~Rs. 250) you can get as much as 20GB of online storage!

If your collection is larger than even this, then you needn't worry . Google has many plans ranging from the cheapest $5 20Gb plan going to terrabytes of space. You will surely find a plan of your choice.

Storing your images online not only keeps them safe, but also allows you to share them with you friends and family. **End Summary** Topics: digicam pictures online best
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Digital Camera Reviews and Best Mobile Phones . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

TweetDeck a Powerful Twitter Application

For anyone who has a Twitter account, TweetDeck is an application that they must use.

The longer you have a Twitter account, the more people you are bound to follow, and the more the need for some organization. Twitter has added a lists feature, but no where else is that more powerful than on TweetDeck.

Tweetdeck allows you to divide your feeds into columns, so you can have feeds from your friends on one, from news sources on another, and so on. It gives alerts when you get new messages and allows you actually make your use of Twitter more productive.

Tweetdeck also features spelling correction and integration with url shorteners. You can simply drag an image over the window and it will uplaod and tweet the url! You can also configure it to use multiple twitter accounts, and can even use FaceBook with it.

TweetDeck is a small application, only a couple MB, however it requires Adobe AIR to be installed on your computer. It might have slightly higher memory requirements that most other apps, so this is something you should keep in mind if you have an old computer. **End Summary** Topics: twitter facebook. social networking
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on LCD TVs and Large screen TV . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Samsung Omnia

The Samsung Omnia is another one of those awaited phones. In a market already flooded with Windows Mobile phones with touchscreens, the Omnia hits the Indian market all ready with the all new Windows Mobile 6.1.

The phone has a very minimalistic design, which is now more or less the norm for all touch screen phones. There are some slight appealing touches in the design, like the grooves around the camera that reflect rainbow colours and the mirror like casing around the touch screen.

There is a common port for interfacing with the computer and the headset, but this is set in the side of the phone. The stylus does not dock into the phone, but you can dangle it from the phone like an ill-attached limb if you want. The stylus is telescopic, and telescopes out almost magically when the cap is opened.

The touch screen does not respond to touch as much as it responds to pressure — you have to press the screen to get anything done. There are some glaring mistakes — it is impossible to scroll down the playlist in the “touch player”. **End Summary** Topics: samsung omnia samsung omnia mobile samsung omnia mobile ph
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Technology News . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

If you have an Atom based netbook, Intel has something nice in store for you! Soon there will be an iPhone App Store like store for netbooks as well.

Intel has started accepting entires from developers for its upcoming application store. There you will find a collection of free and paid applications, and netbook users will be able to download software with ease.

One of the best things to come of this will be that the software will be comparitively safer, since it will go through Intel's review process. You can then rest assured that any appliaction you download will not be laced with malware.

Since the applications are being designed specifically for low powered netbook Computers, they are sure to run better on them, since developers will already be aware of the constraints within which they have to work.

The licensing and updates of such application will also be centrally managed making it easier for you to focus on using them rather than updating them or conifuring licenses.

All the usual advantages that you find on stores like the iPhone App Store and Nokia Ovi store will also be presenr. **End Summary** Topics: technology guides guide reviews news review free down
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on LCD TVs and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Best Format for Converting Files for PMPs

As you buy a new PMP, you will feel tempted to transfer songs frm your old audio CDs to it. However after glansing at the audio formats it supports, you might feel a little confused as to which would be best.

MP3 has been here a long time, and has done the job well. Well enough that even now it is a format of choice for songs available on the internet and on P2P networks. The term MP3 player has become so popular that even though new players play many more formats, we tend to call PMPs MP3 players!

The first thing you need to know is that any converting songs from one format to another will nearly always cause a loss in quality, no matter how slight. If you already have a collection of MP3s it is best that you transfer them as is for best retention of quality.

However, if you have a CD collectin which needs to be transfered to a media player, you have many options. Nearly all MP3 players and even Mobile Phones today support the mp4 or acc format making it ideal for storing your music. **End Summary** Topics: technology guides guide reviews news review free down
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Digital Cameras and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

GPS Enabled Mobiles

It is quite common to find GPS modules in the higher end smartphones nowadays, and if you plan to buy a smartphone it would be wise to consider this feature.

Mobile phones by their very definition are mobile; they go with use wherever we go and make sure that everyone we know is easy to reach. However often time we don't know how to reach where we want to reach!

While GPS devices are available as standalone devices, having one integrated in your mobile means you have one less thing to carry. Much like people go for phones with better cameras so they don't need to carry one around.

GPS devices rely on satellites to precisely track the location of the device, and the device can use this positioning information for all kinds of interesting purposes. Using some kind of mapping application you can get your precise location on a map and can then use it to navigate. many applications will even give turn by turn instructions and even speak out instruction as you drive. **End Summary** Topics: mobiles gps mobiles mobile phone best price
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Digital Cameras and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Notepad++ Notepad Replacement

For most people their experience with the windows utility Notepad will be either very rare, or very frustrating! While Notepad does do its job of being a simple text editor, it can often by quite limiting.

One might thing that a text editor does not need many features, and merely displaying and saving text files should enough. However after using a powerful text editor such as Notepad++ you might feel different.

While Notepad++ in essence is just an editor for plain text files, it provides a much better experience by adding features such as syntax highlighting, code folding which are of great use for developers. However even for the non-developers it packs quite a few amazing features:

·First of all it sports a tabbed interface, so if you have quite a few files open it can be quite a boon.

·It supports powerful search and replace features, which allow you to look for patterns and not just text.

·It allows you to set bookmarks in your text files, which makes navigation easier.

·It allows you to record macros so you can record a bunch of operations and play them back. **End Summary** Topics: technology guides guide reviews news review free down
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Motherboards . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

It may be no iPhone killer, but knowing India’s love for all things Symbian, we have chronicled rumours, launch dates, and specs for the the RX-51 internet tablet, aka Nokia N900 that runs on the Linux Maemo platform. As a wire story tells us, this is going to be a trend of one, with only one new Maemo based phone being released each year. Nokia will stay “fully committed to Symbian”, and will try to upgrade the operating system to bring it up to level with its competitors in the next year and a half.

If this is true, then the GSM Nokia N920, featuring a 4.2-inch capacitive touch screen powered by a 600MHz ARM Cortex processor and 32 GB of storage will be the only Maemo phone to be released in 2010.

“Nokia plans to install Linux software on just one new smartphone next year, a source told Reuters on Monday, dampening prospects of a quick makeover of the Finnish group's struggling product line-up.”

For smart phones, the Symbian OS is considered regarded as a laggard, and even Nokia’s must hyped flagship release the Nokia N97 got poor reviews for its scant app support, stylus-based resistive touchscreen. **End Summary** Topics: nokia maemo mobile phone price best
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Kodak EasyShare V1073

With touchscreen devices getting cheaper and making their way into every possible gadget, cameras aren’t being left out. Now, its Kodak’s turn. The EasyShare V1073 is an 11 MP camera with a 3x optical zoom.

It is thin enough to fit into a shirt pocket easily, but that also makes it a little difficult to hold with a single hand. The touchscreen also makes it difficult to use the camera with just one hand. The power and shoot buttons are positioned close to each other. The 3-inch screen doesn’t have great quality—it is pretty difficult to use outdoors even with the brightness turned up high.

The quality of photos isn’t too different from its predecessors. The colours in the photos are pretty natural but the sharpness will likely be a little too much for most people’s liking. There is image stabilisation, but images still end up a little blurry in well-lit scenarios. There is very little control given to the user, so there isn’t a lot you can experiment with.

One of the key features is the HD 720p video recording resolution. A typical 25-second clip is 43 MB in size. The quality of the video clips is pretty impressive. **End Summary** Topics: kodak easyshare V1073 buy kodak easyshare V1073 best kodak
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

The feature-filled Panasonic KX-MB772 makes an excellent choice as a mid-range laser All-In-One. This newly launched device can print, copy, scan and Fax with the option of a handset which allows calling too.

The design is unmistakeable Panasonic — white body, clean design lines, large buttons and robust yet appealing industrial design.

The print unit is fast and can deliver a text printout in less than 11 seconds. Higher quality prints take a second longer. Graphic printouts take a while longer and are generally take 15-16 seconds. Graphs with lots of patterns, lines, gradation are done with in no more than 15 seconds- fast. When printing graphs with patterns and gradation, the transition from darker to lighter shade is smooth with no artefacts.

The Panasonic KX-MB772 improves on the copying speed and can deliver a laser copy in just 13 seconds; 7 seconds less than KX-MB262CX. When used from copying graphics the unit takes slightly longer but the timings are within acceptable limits.

Laced with an automatic document feeder the scanner unit can zip through multiple pages at a speed of 15 PPM. The CIS scanning element makes this possible. **End Summary** Topics: panasonic KX MB772 review online printers printer
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Technology News . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Nokia N920 Capacitive 4.2-inch Touchscreen, no Keyboard and Maemo 6

We have been behaving like giddy little schoolgirls since Nokia announced their upcoming super-phone and its operating system, N900 and Maemo 5. That’s right, we are fanboys of the unreleased N900 (as stupid as that sounds) and not ashamed to admit it (as even stupider as that sounds).

Now, the Finnish giant wants to make us squeal with delight as rumours are popping up on the Internet – starting at a Chinese website, of course – about the successor to the N900.

The rumoured Nokia N920 looks like it’s set to take on the iPhone and HTC Touch HD2 head-on, by dropping the slide-out keyboard that the N900 sports and increasing the screen size to a larger 4.2 inches. The most heartening aspect is that the screen is rumoured to be capacitive, in line with Nokia’s recent love for the thumb-friendly touch technology, which was proclaimed with Nokia X6.

According to CnBeta, which broke the news, most of the other hardware will probably remain the same as the N900. **End Summary** Topics: nokia n920 nokia n920 mobile nokia n920 price best nokia
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Technology News . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Opting for NTFS Instead of FAT on Pendrives

Any data that you store on a pendrive, harddisk or storage card is organized and formatted depending on the file-system that you choose. Since all of this happens transparently, we are usually not aware of it, however in some situations, the choosing the right file system can be quite beneficial.

Since Windows XP, NTFS has become the standard default file system, replacing FAT32. NTFS is more robust, secure and provides many more options than FAT32. Yet when it comes to portable devices such as pendrives, FAT32 continues to be used. While FAT32 does give better performance on pendrives, often it might be useful for you to use NTFS instead.

So when should you use NTFS, and how?

NTFS allows you to assign permissions to files, such that only specific users can access / modify / delete / run them. This can give you much better control over what people can do with the contents of your pendrive. Although any sufficiently advanced computer user will be able to overcome these limitations, most people will jut leave alone a file which isn't opening. **End Summary** Topics: Windows 7 Windows online best latest reviews
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Technology News . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Three Essential Windows Mobile Applications

Suddenly, the mobile phone industry is inundated with operating systems: iPhone OS, Google Android, Palm WebOS, Symbian, Maemo, BlackBerry, Samsung Bada, and of course, Windows Mobile. Microsoft recently released WinMob 6.5, in a sign that the company has not yet called it quits and is willing to fight it out. There are still lots of phones that run on Windows Mobile, including the upcoming HTC HD2. So here are three applications that no WinMob phone should be without:

1.XnView Pocket – With mobile phones doubling up as cameras, a smart and robust image viewing and editing tool is essential on all handsets. Once you install XnView Pocket, you won’t require anything else. Along with five super-cool photo-viewing modes (you simply have to try out the ‘FilmStrip’ mode), the app lets users convert images to different formats such as JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG (TIFF and RAW files are read-only). If it’s cropping that you desire, simply use your stylus to draw out a box and cut the image to size. Resizing, rotating, sharpening, smoothing, noise reduction, brightness, contrast, gamma, RGB controls – XnView just does it all!

2. **End Summary** Topics: mobile phone phones software download
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Digital Cameras . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Nokia 6760 slides into India

The recently-released Nokia ‘Surge’ for the US-based AT&T network made quite a few heads turn. The Finnish company has now repackaged the device and launched it in the Indian market under the name of ‘Nokia 6760 Slide’.

The 123-gm handset sports a 2.4-inch TFT screen that displays 16 million colours at 320x240 pixels. The top also sports a 5-way joypad and the usual Nokia buttons, along with three multimedia keys. The concentration on multimedia, however, is a bit perplexing as the phone still comes with a 2.5-mm headphone jack. The stereo FM radio compatibility doesn’t really matter much then, right?

The camera on the back is fitted with a 3.15-megapixel CMOS sensor. Although it can record QVGA video, there is no sign of an autofocus or LED flash for still images.

Running on Symbian S60 v3.2, the device has 128MB of onboard memory, which can be expanded up to 8GB via a microSD card. For connectivity, the 6760 is equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB port and GPS and A-GPS.

The phone does take care of its business clientele, though, as it comes with Quickoffice and PDF reader pre-installed. **End Summary** Topics: nokia 6760 best nokia 6760 nokia 6760 mobile online nokia
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Nokia Dropping Symbian in its N-Series?

Despite Nokia's resolute commitment to the Symbain platform, it seems that Maemo might be the future operating for its N-Series.

In a Q&A with bloggers during the official N90 meet-up recently, it was revealed that by 2012 Maemo will replace Symbian in their N-Series mobiles. In a roundabout manner, Nokia has neither confirmed nor denied this.

While it is certainly less of a leap than an official Android-based Nokia phone, considering that both Maemo and Symbain are Nokia technologies, this is still a pretty big deal. Nokia has on many occasions reaffirmed its commitment to Symbian, and continues to develop it. Both Maemo and Symbian will hold a place in Nokia's court, and Maemo's is steadily increasing.

Nokia will continue to create tools for developing for both platforms, and in fact the upcoming versions of its Qt multi-platform GUI development toolkit will add support for both devices. While Qt 4.6 supports developing applications for Symbian, a technical preview of Qt for Maemo 5 is available. This stand to hugely simplify development for mobile platforms, as applications developed for Maemo can also be deployed to Symbian. **End Summary** Topics: nokia n series nokia n series mobile best nokia n series
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

Apple iPhone 3G

Apple’s design sense has always been splendid; the iPhone 3G doesn’t break conformity. The first time you look at it; you’ll think iPod Touch on a high-fat diet. It’s better looking than its predecessor (the iPhone 2G). The black model we received was beautifully finished; thankfully the rear resists normal smudging and scratches. It’s not a very thick device but feels large to hold; although with a 3.5-inch screen this isn’t exactly a design flaw. Build quality is excellent. Quality of buttons and switches on the device are top-class. Even the SIM tray fits flush; attention to detailing is very good.

The buttons on the sides, top and the headphone jack are chromed, and the black bezel and chrome trim add further visual appeal. Apple’s menu system is excellent with the single main menu button being perfectly functional. The 3G’s appeal lies in its blatantly simple and usable interface and the sheer joy and funkiness of a touch and finger swipe navigation system that works flawlessly. The proximity sensor and low-light sensor work flawlessly. **End Summary** Topics: apple iPhone 3g buy apple iPhone 3g online apple iPhone 3g
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Motherboards and Laptops . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

iPod Classic 120 GB

:This is the 6th generation of the venerable hard drive-based iPod that Apple never fails to include. Although a generation old as we speak, (since the new iPod Classic is already available but not for review at this moment), this series offers unmatched storage. Although the Classic is a decent video player it is aimed at the audiophile who wants to carry his entire collection of music with him. The 1.8-inch hard drive offers 120 GB of storage; more than any other PMP in the market. This means you can carry not just lossy MP3 files, but Apple Lossless (ALAC) files as well, giving audiophiles one less lament about the loss of finer detail that occurs with compression.

The iPod Classic 120GB is very well built though the scratch-prone chromed rear is still a killjoy. The screen has seen some revamping and its 2.5-inch display looks pretty crisp and clear with great colours – just what the doctor ordered for video playback. **End Summary** Topics: iPod classic 120gb online iPod classic 120gb iPod classic
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Free Classified ads and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

We've already seen one of the two Star phones that Samsung recently released for the Indian market. The Star 3G phone was the higher priced phone of the two which sported 3G capabilities and had more features to offer. Today we look at the standard Star phone or the non-3G as it's popularly known. The Samsung Star phone is a touch phone for the masses sporting Samsung's TouchWIZ interface, which was showcased about a year ago on the TouchWIZ F480. The Star non-3G is the phone that is competing against the LG Cookie, but will it bring the Cookie down to its knees is something we have do find out. However, we know that the Star has forced LG to lower the price of the Cookie to around 9 K.

Samsung Star GT-S5233A mobile phone has a 1000mAh battery and screen brightness set to medium level and is only able to standby up to 15 seconds. The longer play the music playback will weaken the resistance in the battery of Samsung Star GT-S5233A mobile phone.

ASUS Extreme Striker

The ASUS Extreme Striker II is the first nForce 790i Ultra SLI-based board we review this month. The board is targeted at the extreme high-end performance demanding enthusiast.

ASUS has implemented several design changes. There are loads of copper heat blocks and pipes. To stop the heat sink fins from scratching, there are small strips of flat metal on each of heat sink, which also gives them a very eye-catching look. There’s even a glowing Republic of Gamers logo on the board. The main heat sink also has a provision to attach a water cooling kit—all the necessary connectors and washers are provided.

The focus on overclockers and enthusiasts is visible in the CMOS. The first menu that opens has all the over clocking features and menus right there. Overclockers will love this board.

Other than a minor bump in the memory benchmarks, there is no other real improvement in the board. Game benchmarks also showed a 1 or 2 per cent improvement in Doom 3.

ASUS’ energy saving EPU is built into the board, but there isn’t the Express Gate features that allowed users to use the computer and the Internet, without booting into an OS. **End Summary** Topics: asus extreme Striker computers motherboard cpu motherboards best latest prices price reviews review futures online india
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Laptops and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com

PalmOne Treo 600

The candy-bar form factor of the Treo 600 is surprisingly easy to hold, given that it houses an 11-bit, 2.2-inch LCD screen and a QWERTY thumbboard. The screen is 160 x 160, and not as sharp or clear as those of Palm PDAs. The processor is not as fast, and the memory not nearly sufficient for high-end PDA applications. This boils down to the fact that the Treo 600 is not a PDA. It is an excellent phone, however.

The thumbboard is surprisingly easy to use and extremely handy. The QWERTY pad is heavenly to jot down notes or send off e-mails on the go.

A comprehensive program to manage contacts also lets you e-mail and SMS. An extremely useful task-management tool ties up with Microsoft Outlook. You can truly have all your data at your fingertips.

For a cell phone, one-handed operation is vital and the Treo 600 delivers, surpassing any PDA, Mobile Phone or Pocket PC phone we have tested.

The battery lasts for around 4 to 5 days with moderate usage. The camera takes pictures that are good enough for MMSes and e-mails. **End Summary** Topics: palmOne treo 600 palmOne treo 600 price best palmOne treo
About the Author:
John Wells provides you the best and latest information on Technology News and Free Download Software . he suggest you log on to http://www.thinkdigit.com
