How to make a WLAN network between telephone and computer

I think I am not the only person who got tired by the files sent by Bluetooth messages or to in/ out the cable data.

So, usually few years ago Linux computers could not communicate with Windows computers. For that, Samba was created, so Linux could communicate with computers that have Windows installed. More, people from Telexy created SymSMB so Symbian is able to communicate with Windows. The idea behind is very simple: WiFi router, WiFi phones, why we should no create a WIFI network? And they did it.

I suppose you know how to setup Windows for sharing; if not you could find a lot of tutorials on this topic. Our goal in this article would be to setup Symbian. Once you enter in the application, you will have 3 options. We are interested in Control panel > Network Drives. A window in which you can choose the drive, the access point and the account should appear. If the window does not appear it means you got elsewhere, so you should take it over. If you see the window, you should start setting up:

Name: any name you think about

Drive: whatever is available; **End Summary** Topics: computer software vista
About the Author:
A2C Services is a leading international trader in volume 'redundant' personal computer stocks.

Vista Auto Tuning
Not long ago I realized that Vista Auto Tuning slows Internet connection. But it could be easily disabled with the following command:

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning = diabled

To check if Vista Auto Tuning is disabled use the command:

netsh interface tcp show global

"Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level" should appear with the disabled.

TTL value Change in Windows Vista

TTL field from an IP packet looks through how many links the packet could be transmitted. Routers decreases TTL of the packets of data with 1 in each transmission. When TTL reaches 0 IP package is not sent and an ICMP message is sent.
Initial value is set by the system trying to communicate, for example, Windows Vista sets the TTL to 128.

You can change the TTL value in Windows Vista with the command:

netsh interface set global IPv4 TTL = defaultcurhoplimit

or by registers changes:

DefaultTTL
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet \Services\Tcpip\Parameters
Value type: REG_DWORD
Valid range: 0 - 255
Default: 128
Present by default: NO

Customizing Vista Clock

What you should know about multimedia

In the last few years we have seen a major evolution in the computer industry especially in multimedia.

Multimedia and Internet are two of the dominant trends in the field of high technology equipment, software and telecommunications. Both subjects are represented more in Windows operating system, which contains very well known multimedia features. Another major trend is the explosion of computers on the PC households. Most computers sold on the market now include at least DVD-ROM unit.

In addition the sound boards market accept additional advanced audio performance, such as MIDI, which saw a spectacularly growing. With this technology evolution it is no wonder that Windows operating system includes a lot of multimedia features. Until few years ago multimedia features usually included only the sounds of closing windows, opening windows, programs, etc and some warnings and a kind of "music" - electronic music. In the beginning electronic music was composed of combined sounds that could reproduce some musical and even some vague melodies which was extraordinary because it was easier to use than a audio cassette. After ‘95 when the Windows 95 operating system appeared, special software and hardware was created to convert music from tapes on audio CDs. **End Summary** Topics: hard disk hardware laptops notebooks computers
About the Author:
A2C Services is a leading international trader in volume 'redundant' personal computer stocks.

We live in an era dominated by computers and a large flow of information. With so many combinations of binary data, including pictures, documents, personal accounts and credit cards, we must pay attention to the dangers we expose our computer.

We hear of many cases when people forget their laptop or memory stick in train or bus and then these are used for compromising their image. However, few people realize how big is this danger and the consequences of these facts.

It is very easy for hackers to use the data deleted from your computer and especially to use them against you, the owner. The number of information crimes has increased lately, and we can notice a developing of a veritable hacker industry.

Personal data, passwords of credit cards, addresses or banking, accounts are stolen using information from computers. To hackers, this has become a routine operation.

You are not save if you sell your old computer on eBay. Digital criminals recover daily personal data on computers they buy. By these methods, hackers collect accounts and passwords, credit cards, and the former owners can wake up that have no money in the bank. **End Summary** Topics: hardware laptops notebooks computers
About the Author:
A2C Services is a leading international trader in volume 'redundant' personal computer stocks.

HARD-DISK Tricks

Physical disk and logical disk. A hard disk is a physical disk, meaning a unit of magnetic memory. The total area that can register information can be divided into several logical disks, for a more efficient use. In MS-DOS and Windows, each logical drive is associated with a point followed by the symbol ":" after a simple rule: with the letters A and B we note the floppy disk and start with the letter C: the logical disks. After logical disks, the next letters are used by CD-ROM, pen drives and other similar devices that could exist in the system.

Available space on your hard disk. It is useful to know what space is available on the hard disk, in case he gets too small and you decide to replace him with one more, or if you want to know how much space you have. Open My Computer and you will immediately have a picture of your computer disks. From menu, choose View / Details to see the parameters required. **End Summary** Topics: hard disk hardware laptops notebooks computers
About the Author:
A2C Services is a leading international trader in volume 'redundant' personal computer stocks.

Most people buy a computer to surf the internet, send / receive mail and occasionally work with text files or other documents. Today even the most "poor" computer can do that without problems and very low prices. If this is all you need and you do not have pretensions then any computer is helpful.

But if your requirements are greater, you want to edit media files, images, you need databases, you want to play the newest games… you have to think on a last generation computer. Even if technology progresses in a rapid pace, the acquisition of a top computer can help you save money in the future because it will face (up to a time) future software demands. Maybe one of the most active segments market sales of computers is a PC-gaming segment, for computer games. Crazy users spend hundreds of dollars for last generation graphical card and processors not just Dual-Core but Quad-core to get maximum performance. Do not be fooled, to play a game is not just a hobby, a passion for those who give you the money. Games industry worth billions annual. **End Summary** Topics: computers hardware laptops
About the Author:
A2C Services is a leading international trader in volume 'redundant' personal computer stocks.

Few guidelines when buying a laptop

When purchasing your next laptop, in addition to the choice of material or brand or characteristics, it is advisable to ensure the following features:

Weight: a laptop obviously will be transported, therefore it is essential to choose the lightest possible. Be careful however, sometimes the weight is mentioned without the external devices as DVD Writer.

Autonomy: The autonomy of the computer is directly dependent on the consumption of its components and the characteristics of the battery.

Type Ni-Mh battery: are more powerful than nickel-cadmium batteries.

Type Li-Ion battery: rechargeable batteries fitted to most laptops. The Li-Ion batteries offer excellent performance for a modest cost. In addition, the Li-Ion batteries do not suffer of memory effect, which means that it is not necessary to empty the battery completely before recharging the unit.

Type Li-Polymer battery has performance equivalent to the Li-Ion batteries, but much lighter as the liquid electrolyte (or ionic solution) and the micro porous separator of Li-Ion batteries are replaced by a much lighter solid polymer (polyacrylonitrile). However this type of battery is not an asset because the charging time is greater and their life is relatively low. **End Summary** Topics: computers hardware laptops
About the Author:
A2C Services is a leading international trader in volume 'redundant' personal computer stocks.
