Endometriosis Treatment

Although no cure exists, one should not despair of an endometriosis treatment. In fact, there are several treatment options available to sufferers of this malady. These treatments run the gamut from simple observation to surgery.

If the case is particularly mild, one endometriosis treatment involves nothing more than simply engaging in regular visits to the physician. The doctor”either a general practitioner or a gynecologist”will monitor the patient. If the pain the patient is experiencing is severe enough certain medications may be prescribed, such as ibuprofen. As the symptoms progress further”and in some cases there may be no furthering of symptoms at all”it may become necessary to discuss the possibility of more complex treatments.

One of these endometriosis treatments that go beyond mere observation is hormone treatment. Hormone therapy is utilized because it has been effective in managing certain symptoms. The hormone estrogen thickens the uterine lining, while the hormone progesterone prompts the shedding of the uterine lining during menstruation.

One treatment involves Danazol, which is a form of testosterone that works to lessen the estrogen amounts that the ovaries produce down to roughly the same level that takes place during menopause. **End Summary** Topics: Endometriosis Endometriosis Treatment health medical
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.about-health-and-wellness.com

Emergency Medical Supplies

Between the fears of a terrorist attack following 9/11 and the recent spate of natural disasters, the emergency medical supplies business has been on an upward boom in the last few years. Conduct an internet search for emergency medical supplies and you are bombarded with sites wanting to sell you supplies, sites giving you information on what supplies you need, and sites asking you to contribute supplies for help needed desperately in other countries.

Although it might seem cynical to say that natural disasters and the fear of terrorism are good things for economy, when it comes to the emergency medical supplies industry, there's no denying it. It wasn't all that long ago that businesses catering to emergency needs hardly even extended their services to consumers. Emergency medical supplies were almost entirely a wholesale enterprise.

These companies sold in bulk to hospitals, clinics, cruise ships and the like. Most supplies sold to the ordinary man on the street tended to be those things that the ordinary man on the street didn't really need. Emergency medical supplies at the retail level were almost exclusively the domain of the adventurer who would be camping in the wilderness or climbing a mountain. **End Summary** Topics: health medicinal supply emergency medical supplies
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.home-remedy-guide.org

Bee Propolis And Ulcerative Colitis

Okay, first, the most obvious question. What in the name of all that's good and decent in the worlde is bee propolis and ulcerative colitis? Well, you probably already know that bees are pretty much the geeks of the flying insect world. That is to say, they work all day and have little social life. Part of their work involves collecting a stick substance called propolis from the lead buds and barks of trees, more often than not poplars and conifers. And, as could probably be expected, they use the resin-like propolis as material for building the hive.

Great, now what about the ulcerative colitis part? Ulcerative colitis, normally referred to simply as colitis, is a disease that results in ulcers in the colon and rectum. The connection? In addition to helping with the construction of the hive, propolis contains antibiotic properties that serve as a defense for the hive against viruses and bacteria. Propolis is chock full of yummy medicinal goodness: proteins, amino acids, vitamins and minerals and flavonoids. **End Summary** Topics: health wellness medicinal goodness nutrition
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.about-health-and-wellness.com

How To Care For Skin In Winters?

The falling of the leaves, the early sinking of the sun and the disappearance of ants¦ what do all these things convey? Well, you guessed it right; these things convey the onset of winter. It's time, you need to protect yourself from the chilly weather, the teasing sun and skin damage.

In fact, winter season is the major cause for skin drying as the cold winter air is less humid than the warm air. Moreover, the harsh chilly winds make the conditions even worse, as they cause the moisture of the skin to evaporate very quickly. And above all, the indoor conditions can prove equally bad for your skin and the complexion during the winters.

During winters, most of the people insist on indoor heating through heaters or fire places. This indoor heating proves extremely bad for the skin. The warm air tends to pull mistier from the air and makes the environment dehydrated. It even pulls the moisture from the skin. The skin glands start becoming smaller and eventually disappear. As a result of all this, the skin becomes dry. **End Summary** Topics: health health care skin care winter skin care
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.anti-aging-skin-care-product.org

Using Typing Programs For Success

If you want to be successful in life, you may want to begin with a typing program. That may seem like a simple solution to a successful life, but it is true. In today's society, being successful means having effective communication skills as well as being empowered to compete for high paying jobs. Computers have become the modern means of communication even limiting the use of the telephone. Emails, chat rooms, and instant messaging programs keep the world connected and allow for instantaneous communications. However, if you can't type, you are at a disadvantage and can't participate in these fabulous communication methods. Using a typing program can help teach you how to type, improve your typing speed and accuracy, and overall improve your life.

Many public schools understand the importance that computers and communication will have on the net generation. School media centers and labs are equipped with computers and typing programs. Children may already begin typing for fun through chat rooms and instant messaging, but they will require more skills in life than simply knowing how to IM their friends and chat about current video games. **End Summary** Topics: education typing typing training typing lesson
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.typing-lessons.net

What Causes Snoring?

So what causes snoring anyway? It's loud, it's annoying and it even can be life-threatening in certain cases. But what is it really? What causes snoring is a physical reaction that occurs when the air passages block the smooth flow of air, or else when the tissues or muscles in those air passages vibrate. The muscles in your tongue, your throat and the roof of your mouth, better known as the soft palate, relax as you fall deeper into your nightly slumber. Because of this relaxation, the tissues in the throat start to sag, which leads to the airway becoming more narrow, and as they narrow they also start to vibrate. This vibration creates the sound we recognize as snoring. The more narrow the airway gets, the louder the snoring becomes.

The most common answer to the question of what causes snoring in relation to how it can be controlled is weight. Many people who never had a problem with loud snoring often find it accompanies weight gain. Gaining weight leads to more neck tissue that becomes less firm. The weight of the neck results in more pressure on the airways. **End Summary** Topics: snore snoring sleep sleeping
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.stop-snoring-cures.com

What Are Hurricanes?

Katrina, Vince, Rita are the subject of lead stories in all the journals around the world. They have created a stir in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Can you guess who they are¦?

No, they are not some super successful people or any genre of Hollywood stars. They are the names of hurricanes. Sounds familiar? Do you know what is a hurricane?

Hurricane is a tropical cyclone with a speed of around 74 miles per hour characterized with heavy rains and winds. This is the result of low pressure system that is usually created around tropical areas. They are a part of the natural circulation system that moves heat from the tropical regions to the places of higher altitudes.

Hurricanes are known by several names in different continents of the world. In the North Atlantic and South Atlantic region Hurricane is the official term used for tropical cyclone. The other parts of world in Northwest Pacific Ocean name hurricane as Typhoon. The hurricanes are called severe cyclonic storm in the north Indian Ocean.

All these nomenclatures refer to the similar phenomenon of low pressure in tropical areas. **End Summary** Topics: tropical storm tropical storms hurricane
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.tropical-storm.org

What Is A Podcast Feed?

A podcast feed is a way of sharing files over the internet. It involves the use of a small, machine readable file that is regularily updated to reflect changes in the files available for downloading. The internet addresses of these files are embedded into the feed file and can be automatically downloaded when wished. At this time, podcasting tends to refer to the use of feeds to share only media files. Podcasting originally occured as a way to share audio mp3 files, and has only recently begun incorporating video into podcasts. However, the technology that allows the files to be shared is not limited to such media files and there is not reason that other files may be shared via podcast in the future.

Today, however, a podcast feed tends to refer to the use of a feed to share media files. Most podcasts are done with audio files, and the individual files that are created and shared are called episodes. These audio files may contain a variety of things; there are music, comedy, news, technology, even podcasts about wine. **End Summary** Topics: software podcast podcasting RSS feed
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.podcasting-software.org

Training Your Dog Not To Chase People, Bicycles, Joggers, Etc.

Dogs by nature are predatory animals, and all predatory animals share the motivation to chase fleeing objects. While this may be a natural instinct, it is not appropriate when those fleeing objects are joggers, bicyclists or the mailman.

Training the dog not to chase people and bicycles is an important thing to do, and it is best to start that training as early as possible. Starting when the dog is still small and non-threatening is important, particularly with breeds that grow very large, or with breeds that have a reputation for being very aggressive. Many people respond to being chased by a dog, especially a large dog, with understandable fear, and it is best for yourself and your dog that he be trained not to chase before he reaches a threatening size.

Some dogs are easier to train away from chasing than others. Breeds that have been used for hunting or herding often retain much more of their chasing instincts than other types of dogs, for instance.

No matter what breed of dog you are working with, however, it is important to not allow him off the leash until his chasing behavior has been curbed. **End Summary** Topics: pet pets pet training dog training puppy training
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.dogtrainingnews.org

Brushing, combing, clipping nails, and cleaning ears, are grooming that needs to be done. By doing basic grooming on a regular basis will help in prevention with scratching furniture, and hairball management.

Hairball management can be managed using different products that can help with the hairball for the cat. Do not confuse this to substitute for this part of the grooming. Learn more about these products at your favorite pet store or internet site.

Tips On Training Your Kitten

Most kittens seem irresistibly cute and fun. There are a few more things to know before you bring home your kitten. You need to research healthy types of food. You should interview a vet. You should kitten proof your house. You should pick up your plants, hide your wires. One good idea you can do is go out and find something for your kitten to hide in. when they first get home they may get a bit scared and want to find a safe and secure place to go. This could either be a kitty condo or a kennel.

There are several problems that may occur when you bring your kitty home. Behavior problems are normal for most kittens. Most of the basic problems will include chewing on things, scratching on chairs, or defecating.

Scratching on different items can create a big problem, like scratching on your favorite chair. It's a normal thing for a cat to scratch, but get things that are appropriate for them to scratch on. Place them around the house so that there is not just one scratching post. Make sure that you trim your kittens nails at least once a week. **End Summary** Topics: pet pets pet health pet training kitten training cat training
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.petcarenews.org

Podcast RSS Feeds

A Podcast RSS feed is what allows the entire system to function. To begin at the beginning, a podcast is a regular distribution of audio or visual files, called episodes, to a users podcast client. The people who use a podcast are called subscribers, and the podcast client is what allows them to subscribe to a feed. The podcast client is a program that connects to the internet, looking for a specific file the user has subscribed to, or told it to look for. That file is an RSS feed, a machine readable piece of coding that sends information back to the podcast client.

RSS feeds can be used to distribute many kinds of information, and were originally used for blogging and distributing blog posts to subscribers. As time went on, however, a few people had the idea of enclosing information about media files within the RSS feed so that software could be written to find that information and download the files described.

The Podcast RSS feeds became a hit, and podcast clients were quickly written to allow people to use the new encoding. Podcasting became a means of quickly and cheaply sharing episodes with subscribers. **End Summary** Topics: software podcast podcasting RSS feed
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.podcasting-software.org

The Old Town San Diego Park serves as a way to recreate life in both the early American and early Mexican era of 1821 - 1872. Perfectly situated in San Diego, the park helps to recreate what was once San Diego. No matter how you look at it, a trip to California isn't complete without a visit to the Old Town.

Around the five adobes of the main complex, there are shops, a museum, and several restaurants. Around the garden courtyard, the La Casa mansion helps to bring back a taste of the Old Town. Just a short hop from there, the museum is full of artifacts that help to reflect on the life that was once the Old Town.

The Old Town also has a blacksmith shop, schoolhouse, and several other historic buildings, including the first newspaper office in San Diego. This is truly a place to visit, especially for those who are wanting to learn more about the history of San Diego.

The city of San Diego was the first Spanish settlement in California. This occurred when a fort and mission were established in 1769. **End Summary** Topics: travel tours San Diego San Diego vacation visit san diego
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.about-san-diego.com

The Triggers Of Anger

Triggers are what interrupts emotions and causes us to become angry. When we learn our triggers, we are taking a step in the right direction to control our emotions. First, we need to weed through the roots of anger to determine the problem. If you have obsessive anger, outbursts you might want to get a physical to eliminate chemical or physical roots of your anger.

Next, you will go to a mental health expert to eliminate mental illnesses that are often the root of anger. After you have done step one and two and the problem does not lie between mental illness and physical then you will need to attend anger management classes. Obviously, you have no control over your emotions; therefore, you will need to learn techniques that help you to cope better with your fears, frustrations, anxiety, depression and emotions. This will help you to move ahead in life and gain control of your anger.

You might want to ask your self what you are afraid of or what are the triggers of your anger? You might review the thoughts carefully to see if you anger is justifiable. Are you afraid to speak up and protect your rights? **End Summary** Topics: anger anger management control anger anger triggers
About the Author:
Burt Cotton http://www.anger-management-help.org

The Importance Of Daily Typing Practice

Like anything in life, practice makes perfect. I am sure that you have heard that saying before. There is great truth to this fact. If you want to achieve anything in life, you will need to commit yourself to daily practice. This includes everything from playing the piano, competing in sports, and even mastering your typing skills. If you want to improve your typing skills then you will need to commit yourself to daily typing practice. Daily typing practice is the key to your typing success. Neglecting to practice will ensure that whatever gains you have made in speed and accuracy will be lost over time. There is no doubt about it. To keep up with your new skills and to improve your typing, you will need daily typing practice.
