Villa demand soars in Phuket with Thailand Holiday Homes

One of the surprise markets that have all developers excited is the rapid increase in holiday villa development. Thailand Holiday Homes has been at the forefront of this rapid market shift and has really kept their finger on the pulse of the marketplace as it has developed. The past two years has seen the number of tourists increase that wants to make a bit more of their holiday and their accommodation. The standard package holiday and hotel resorts are losing customers to the villa rental market. More and more tourists are choosing to hire their own villa or apartment and the availability of more five star accommodations is in demand. Many of the villas now on offer around the city have their own maid and chef so renters don’t have to lift a finger during their stay.

Phuket has seen continued growth and high occupancy rates in the past three years, say Thailand Holiday Homes. It is Thailand’s biggest island and, being an island means that property and land is highly valued. The island is well developed for tourists and has some of the most modern infrastructure in the country. **End Summary** Topics: Thailand holidays villa rental thailand vacations phuket
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/">Thailand Holidays</a> with Thailand Holiday Homes – the luxury villas rental company of Thailand.
The Land of Smiles – Natural Wonder and Impressive Culture

Minorities of Thailand include the Chinese, Thai Malays, and the Laotian. Anything between 9% - 15% of Thailand's population is thought to be Sino-Thai (depending on how Chinese is defined). In the early 19th and 20th Century, Chinese immigrants came and settled down here. They married Thai women, took Thai names, most of them adopted Buddhism (although they were not required to renounce their ancestor worship) and learnt Thai. As elsewhere in the region, these Chinese immigrants proved to be remarkably adept at money making and today control a disproportionate slice of businesses. This is an exotic land that is surprisingly convenient and accessible. First introductions are made in Bangkok, a modern behemoth of screaming traffic, gleaming shopping centres and international sensibilities interwoven with devout Buddhism. Even the most cosmopolitan Thais wouldn’t dare choose a marriage date without consulting a monk or astrologer. And notice the protective amulets that all Thais – from the humble noodle vendor to the privileged aristocrat – wear around their necks: this is holy fashion. **End Summary** Topics: thailand holiday thailand vacations travel thailand tourism thailand thailand guide
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/">Thailand villa</a> rental company - your specialist in short term rentals.
Good News for Thailand Tourism

Thailand which has seen recent crises devastate the tourism industry has been quick to reinvest in the tourism in order to try and revitalize and persuade vacationers to come and visit the ever famous Land of Smiles.

With a stronger focus on short-haul tourism planned for 2010 and beyond, Thailand is looking for pragmatic ways to deal with the reduced number of visitors, and the nation's practical approach is finally paying dividends as tourism is starting to pick up.

At the height of the tourist slowdown, the Thai government revealed a range of measures in efforts to keep the spot light on Thailand, spending billions of baht on promotional offers, discounts and free visas for tourists.

Until recently these incentives were having little effect due to the Thailand's very recent history of instability, but recently the political situation has stabilized significantly providing a great deal of international reassurance. **End Summary** Topics: thailand holiday thailand vacations travel thailand
About the Author:
Luxury <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/">Thailand vacations</a>

Pattaya Water Holidays For Families and Kids

Pattaya beaches
Hat Pattaya is the city’s showcase stretch of sand, sporting sunbathers, souvenir sellers, and buzzing jet skis and speedboats. The sand is reasonably clean and the water is calm. If you get bored there’s good shopping over the road.
Hat Jomtien, about 1km south of Pattaya, stretches for 6km and is quieter than its northern neighbor. You’re relatively removed from Pattaya’s sex scene at this beach. At the northern end of the beach, Hat Dongtan is a hub for gay travelers.
Hat Naklua, a smaller beach north of Pattaya, is quiet and a good choice for families. The islands of Ko Larn, Ko Krok and Ko Sak are around 7km offshore and have some popular beaches especially Hat Ta Waen on Ko Larn.
Boats leave Pattaya’s South Pier every two hours between 8am and 4.30pm (20B). The last boat back from Ko Larn is at 5pm. **End Summary** Topics: pattaya beach pattaya watersports pattaya family holiday
About the Author:
Luxury <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/">Thailand holidays</a>

Pattaya Thailand Tourism Showing No Sign of Slowing Down

The cast may be evolving, but the scenery and soundtrack remain the same. The gorgeous half-moon of Pattaya Bay swoops around the headland to (slightly) more refined Hat Jomtien, and delicate sea-breezes whip up a heady cocktail of suntan lotion, fast food, and motorcycle and jet-ski fumes. Wide-eyed package tourists jostle with Indian tailors, ruddy-faced middle-aged Western men, and beachfront fruit and seafood vendors. Thumping beats, cruising ‘baht buses’ and the commercial hubbub provide an irresistible symphony. And after dark the tourists’ eyes open even wider with a stroll past Pattaya’s infamous go-go bars amid the sex tourism hub of Walking St.
Pattaya’s a stay up late kind of town, but wake up earlier than most and there are activities galore to redress your daytime/nighttime balance. Hit the dive shops to explore the city’s offshore reefs and wrecks, or get some fresh air on world-class golf courses. And if you’re here with the family, the kids (and mum and dad), will find plenty to do to make it a real holiday. The town’s wicked essence remains defiantly intact, but around the fringes it’s softening and becoming more inclusive. **End Summary** Topics: Pattaya tourism Pattaya vacation Thailand vacations sin city
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk">Thailand Vacations</a> with Thailand Holiday Homes - <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/thailand-villas.html">luxury villa rentals in Thailand</a> . <a href="http://www.thailandvacations.biz">Pattaya vacations guide</a> .

Holidays in South East Asia. Thailand Luxury Holidays

Near on 15 million people visit Thailand every year, arriving to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and cultural delights this magical country. The exotic allure and the value for money family holidays is what make Thailand so accessible for travelers of all types, be it backpackers to international jetsetters.

Pattaya is a destination situated on the Gulf of Thailand and has gained a reputation as the party capital of the country. Pattaya also specializes in family holidays, with its excellent shopping facilities, numerous beaches and thousands of restaurants serving cuisines from the four corners of the globe. Pattaya is Thailand’s number one package holiday destination, with a wide choice of hotels, luxurious holiday villas and condominiums available for rental all year round.

Visiting Thailand at any time of the year is a great experience, but the high-season months of November April are by far the best time of the year to plan a holiday. Although May October can be unpredictable for the weather, it is the quietest and therefore a great time to visit the land of smiles. Even during the low-season months, the weather can be very good. **End Summary** Topics: thailand holiday travel thailand weather thailand pattaya
About the Author:

Political Downturn as Thailand Tourism Accelerates

This is certainly a high accolade and not to be downplayed in any way, and proves there is more to the Land of Smiles than meets the eye.
Thailand and Scandinavia have long established a firm and fruitful relationship, with 378,387 Swedish tourists visiting the Kingdom during 2007, generating somewhere in the region of 25 Billion baht in revenue.
14.4 million Foreign nationals visited Thailand in 2007 alone from over 45 different countries. The official 2008 TAT figures have yet to be released, but the mood suggests a slight decrease in tourist numbers due to the worldwide economic problems.
The downturn is clearly a widespread issue, which doesn’t represent any failings on the part of Thailand as a major tourist destination in any way. And though businesses in Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai have noticed a minor drop in profits, thing are still carrying on as usual and tourists continue to flock to Thailand’s four favorite tourist regions.

Today visitors come to pay their respects to fallen Allied soldiers or to discover for themselves more about the town’s dark past. But Kan, as locals call it, is also a great place to relax at riverside guesthouses or venture to nearby natural attractions.

THAILAND-BURMA RAILWAY CENTRE
Before you head out to the Kwai River Bridge, get a little history under your belt at this museum (%0 3451 0067; 73 Jaokannun; adult/child 60/30B; h9am-5pm). Professional exhibits outline Japan’s aggression in Southeast Asia during WWII and its plan to connect Yangon (in Burma) with Bangkok via rail for transport of military supplies. Captured Allied soldiers as well as Burmese and Malay captives were transported to the jungles of Kanchanaburi to build 415km of rail known today as the Death Railway because of the many lives (more than 100,000 men) the project claimed.

Thailand has thousands of visitors every year and many choose to stay in one of the many beautiful self catering villas or bungalows, which are set back from the hustle and bustle of the many towns and cities. Choosing a self catering holiday gives you the freedom to literally please yourself and enjoy the peaceful surroundings without having to worry about where you are going to eat.
Many villas and cottages around Thailand are situated in private grounds with swimming pools and other facilities, which make the self catering option perfect for families with small children or maybe people who just want to get away from it all and enjoy some privacy.
Thai food is some of the best in the world, but it is not to everyone’s taste, which makes self catering easier for those who have children or can’t eat spicy food. It means you can still enjoy the wonderful flavours and ensure that it is friendly to your palette, and also to your budget.
Visiting one of the fantastic food markets lets you see the sheer variety of fresh produce that Thai people use to cook. **End Summary** Topics: Thailand Pattaya self catering cottages luxury villas
About the Author:
Take the opportunity now to enjoy a fantastic unparalleled <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/">holiday in Thailand</a> from the luxury and freedom of one of our private <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/thailand-villas.html">villas in Thailand</a> , Bungalows and Island Villas without the restrictions of a hotel.
