Portable Bow Lights Offer Peace of Mind and Flexibility

More and more, boaters are starting to recognize the advantages of having portable bow lights onboard. And with the latest technology, this boating accessory has become an affordable and efficient 'must have'.

As a Back-up Lighting System
It's a fact of life. The incandescent bow lights on your boat will eventually go out. It's just a matter of when. Hopefully, it won't be when you're waiting in heavy evening traffic or struggling with reduced visibility. But, just in case, having a portable bow light onboard as a backup will give you an always ready, always available solution for your stationary bow light.

For Extra Flexibility
Portable bow lights are also an easy answer for your secondary dinghy, skiff, kayak, canoe, or jon boat. They provide additional, instant flexibility for that unexpected boating experience. And they are also handy for lending to a fellow boater in need.

What the Latest Technology Offers
With the latest technology, portable bow lights have become environmentally friendly and cheaper. One of the biggest advancements for portable bow lights is the use of Light Emitting Diodes (LED). **End Summary** Topics: marine light marine led lights marine lights led marine light marine navigation lights marine running lights marine
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.marinemart.com">Jerry Payne is an avid boatsman who works as a consultant for the popular boating accessory site: www.marinemart.com.</a>

How a Good Ghostwriter Can Help Your Company

In this day and age it seems we're all pressed for time. There's not enough hours in a day to get everything done we need to get done. This is probably the number one reason that more and more businesses are delegating their company writing projects to professionals. Writing can be time consuming for those who aren't skilled or practiced in it. But another reason is simply the level of quality. When it comes to reports, marketing materials, or articles with your company's name on them, you just can't afford to be sloppy.

Some companies hire a copywriter full-time for just such projects. Others don't have the resources to keep somebody employed on a full-time basis, nor the amount of writing projects to justify the expense. For these companies, an affordable, efficient solution is to contract out their work on a project by project basis to a professional writer.

Most people think of copywriters as skilled in writing copy for marketing materials. And although this is true, a good copywriter can also act as a ghostwriter for projects to which a specific name needs to be attached. **End Summary** Topics: ghostwriter ghostwriters ghostwriting ghostwriter services professional ghostwriter hire a ghostwriter ghostwriting services hire ghostwriter
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is a professional writer experienced in writing articles and books for others.
How to Write Your Book

There's an old riddle: How do you eat an elephant? Answer: One bite at a time. This old riddle provides some pretty good advice for a lot of things in life. Anything that seems overwhelming at first blush can usually be broken down into manageable parts. Writing a book is no different.

Naturally it starts with an idea. Maybe you've got the perfect idea for the next great American novel. Or maybe you've got some knowledge about something that would prove valuable to others if it was put into a book, something the eager public would rush to the bookstore to buy. The idea is actually the easy part. I would imagine that most people, if pressed, could come up with some idea of theirs that they have floating around in the back of their heads. Probably your idea is why you're bothering to read this article.

Now, translating the idea into something readable, well, that's a different story. It seems easy enough. It's just words, after all. We all know words. We speak, don't we? And read? How tough could it be, then, to take our idea and put it onto the printed page? **End Summary** Topics: write a book how to write a good book how to write a book a ghostwriter ghostwriter ghostwriters ghostwriting ghostwriting services ghostwriter book
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is a professional writer experienced in writing books, both for himself as well as for others.
How to Choose a Copywriter

If you're thinking of outsourcing a writing project - Web content, brochure text, an article, or whatever your writing needs may be - you may have some questions at to just how to go about choosing the right copywriter. There's no shortage of writers, certainly. By doing a simple Internet search, polling friends and business acquaintances, or just flipping through the Yellow Pages, you can probably put together a decent list in pretty short order. There is, however, a shortage of particularly effective writers, and an even greater shortage of writers who are just right for your specific needs. So how to narrow the list to the right writer? Use what I call the "Three R's": References, Response, Rates.

References
Any writer you're considering hiring ought to be experienced enough to have some testimonials he or she can share with you. Don't be shy about asking for references. And try to get a reference from somebody who did a similar type of project to what you're considering doing. If you're having your Web content rewritten, find a writer who has a decent testimonial or two from a client whom the writer did Web content for. **End Summary** Topics: business writer copywriter copywriting freelance writer writers copy editor
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is an experienced, professional copywriter.
Tips for Writing Effective Brochures

It's almost a lost art. In this day and age, a splashy, attention-getting design is what people typically want in their product brochures. So much so that the wording often gets overlooked. But writing effective brochures, although indeed an art, needn't become a lost one.

The fact is, once the brochure gets the attention of somebody, there had better be some decent verbiage in it. Pictures are nice but, contrary to what you may have heard, are not worth a thousand words. A thousand words are worth a thousand words. And if they're the right ones, no picture will ever come close.

For the purposes of a brochure, you have to assume that your images will entice a "viewer" to want to become a "reader." That's the goal, after all. If you've done the graphic part correctly, then the words matter even more because you've successfully gotten the attention of somebody, somebody who is interested in what you're offering. But the interest will fade unless you can maintain it with effective text. **End Summary** Topics: on writing writing for good writing writing examples writing sample writing samples writing ideas brochure writing brochure design writing for brochur
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is an experienced freelance copywriter specializing in writing copy for printed sales material.
The Ins and Outs of Copywriting Rates

If you're thinking of hiring a freelance copywriter to do some writing for you, whether it be help with your Web content, brochure text, a ghostwritten article, or whatever you need a professional hand with, you might find yourself confused by the sheer range of fees charged by copywriters. You can find hourly rates anywhere from $25 to $200, page rates anywhere from $50 per page to $250 per page, and project rates anywhere from $30 to review a single page of text to $30,000 to write your book for you.

Why such a wide range?

The short answer is that writing is a service, not a tangible good. Products like televisions, kitchen tables, and tires, for example, are all basically commodity items with consistent and predictable manufacturing and distributing costs that help determine price, along with supply and demand forces from a large, relatively efficient marketplace. Writing works a little differently. Each project has its own specific requirements that make it unique. A project to write a Web page, for example, might include time spent researching. Or it might involve a lot of time spent interviewing the client for information. **End Summary** Topics: copywriting rates copywriter rates freelance copywriting rates copywriter rate copywriting rate freelance copywriter rates copywriting fees copy
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is an experienced freelance copywriter.
New Poetry Movement

Not, perhaps, since the early days of the so-called New York School of poetry have we seen a movement such as what is now coming out of the lower streets of Boston. "The Boston Poetical Movement" is what future literature historians might well refer to it as. I humbly offer the name here in the hopes the trend might get its deserved acclaim. Just as we had Ashbery, O'Hara, Koch, Schuyler, and Guest as the collective face of the New York School, we are now witnessing poetry history-in-the-making with names like Haasch, Matusek, Shear, and Meissner. Mark the names well. Genius is rare in our times.

The roots go back at least seven years, with influences converging from the now-famous "Summer of Verse" in Cambridge, where a young Vito Heppner first uttered his "Doves are Falling Towards the Ceiling," a double-quatrained villanelle in triple-syllabic hexameter with line breaks randomly chosen based on the rolling of three dice. It was a stroke of brilliance not easily outdone. Except that it was. **End Summary** Topics: poetry analysis about poetry poetry poems poetry online modern poetry poets free verse poetry free poems poetry poems famous poetry reading poetry dev
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is a professional copywriter and a life-long poetry aficionado.
Should You Hire a Ghostwriter?

Everybody's got a little writing skill. But if you've got an idea for something you'd like to get published - an article or a book, perhaps - the question is, is your skill level enough? It's one thing to compose an email to your sister. It's a different matter entirely when it comes to sitting down and having the wherewithal to write a publishable piece of work. Here are five questions you should ask yourself before you decide to tackle that potential writing project:

Do I have the time?
I find that most people don't realize the time that's involved in writing something important. Even a relatively short article can take longer than people think. There's a process that takes place between the brain, where the ideas are, and the fingertips, which remain poised above the keyboard waiting for instructions. In a lot of cases, what goes on between these two points can render the original idea almost unrecognizable by the time it hits the screen. If you find yourself stopping repeatedly, saying things like, "Wait, that's not what I meant to say..." then you can assume you might be getting yourself into a very long affair. **End Summary** Topics: ghostwriter ghostwriters ghostwriting ghostwriter services professional ghostwriter hire a ghostwriter ghostwriting services hire ghostwriter
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is a professional copywriter specializing in the ghostwriting of books and articles.
How to Find a Ghostwriter

They say everybody has a story to tell. The problem is in the telling. Let's face it. Some of us can string words together into decent, readable sentences, and others of us cannot. The former sometime go on to string words together professionally, helping out the latter, and getting paid for it in the process. And it's no shame to admit that, although you've got a super nice keyboard, the latest word processing program, spell-check, punctuation-check, grammar-check, and all kinds of other checks, you're just not able to write something that reads the way you've got it in your head.

That's the problem with writing. It seems easy. The materials are cheap enough. (You can use a pencil and a notepad, for crying out loud.) You know the alphabet. You've got a decent vocabulary. And you've got a great idea. Unfortunately, there's a significant gap that stretches from mind to paper. It's a long ways to go. From the time most people ride their idea from their brains all the way down to their fingertips to push the letters on their keyboards, something invariably gets lost. **End Summary** Topics: ghostwriter ghostwriters ghostwriting ghostwriting services ghostwriter book writing book writer shadow writing
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is a professional writer experienced in writing articles and books for others.
With the Internet being such a visual medium, it's easy to understand why there is such a premium put on eye-catching, graphic design. Companies want their Web sites to be visually appealing. They want to make a great initial impression and draw visitors into the site.

When you think about it, it's not all that different than dressing up for a first date. You take a little time to think about what you're going to wear, and a little extra time to get ready. You want everything to be just right. You want to make an impression right off the bat. But of course, sooner or later, maybe over dinner, perhaps, or a drink, you're going to get beyond the appearances and have a real conversation. And this is where you really begin to find out about the other person, and they begin to find out about you.

The problem with a lot of Web sites is that we're left at the appearances' stage. We try to navigate through the site, just like we might ask pertinent questions on a first date, but often come up empty. It's a common problem. **End Summary** Topics: Web copywriting web content tips for writing web copy copywriting for the web web design web development effective websites
About the Author:
Jerry Payne is a professional copywriter who helps companies get the most out of their marketing materials.
