Baguazhang Kung Fu Energy Flux...Creating The Proper Alignment

Baguazhang Kung Fu is one of those fantastic martial arts that titillates the imagination. One comes across amazing stories of what the old Baguazhang masters could do, and they want to be that good, too. The sad truth, however, is that most Baguazhang schools are not training their students in the proper way.

Mind you, you will still manifest astounding abilities, but it will take a long time, and it shouldn't. Fix one little item, you see, and that exotic martial art becomes quick and easy, and has tremendous benefits. That one little item has to do with establishing the right energy flux.

The body is a motor, and it is built of smaller motors. One of the motors has to do with something I refer to as a 'Flux,' or a field of energy. This energy field generates what is commonly labeled as chi power or chi energy.

Thus, when one is speaking about an energy field, or chi power, or that sort of thing, they are talking about manifesting and extending the energy field around the body. **End Summary** Topics: ba gua zhang bagua zhang baguazhang kung fu gung fu
About the Author:
The chi flow of <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/">Baguazhang Kung Fu</a> has been totally defined in the second system of Butterfly Pa Kua Chang.
Seven Bizarre Reasons To Learn Kung Fu In This Nutty World!

If it was your decision not to learn kung fu, or some other martial art...too sweaty, too hard...maybe you should reconsider. Society is flipping out, and I mean in our own safe, little cities. Here are seven instances of people who have gone over to the dark side, and they are the total argument for learning self defense.

Two girls didn't like the way some fry cook was taking their McNuggets order at their McDonalds restaurant, so they jumped over the counter and went after him. He decided to pick up an iron bar and proceeded to give them a little of their own medicine. McDonalds should have included Karate or Kung Fu lessons in their training!

Young kids don't have the only edge on insanity, because a sixty year old woman repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend. Her reason was that she was just sure that he was cheating at the Monopoly game they were playing! Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to jail...and it's too bad her boyfriend didn't know a little Krav Maga or Jujitsu!

Some people say Americans don't have enough protein in their diet, and maybe that is true. **End Summary** Topics: karate kung fu tai chi chuan pa kua chang tong long hung gar
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Butterfly_Pa_Kua_Chang.html">Learn Kung Fu</a> the easy way, on video in your own home!
Tai Chi Chuan: Notes On The Classical V The New Age

Saw Tai Chi Chuan on the youtube, and it was quite fascinating. Young chinese lass performed a Tai Chi New modern version, and my mind began to inspect the intricate movements, the rights and wrongs. Of course, one could claim that there is no right and wrong, there is only interpretation.

But, in this ancient Art of Tai Chi Chuan, should there be interpretation? The young lady flowed like a skyrocket in molasses, giving off chi energy, wielding chi power, and was as gorgeous as a constellation in the early evening. But...function should define the art, am I not correct?

The classical Tai Chi was low, powerful, thrusting poppings of power that would slay a phoenix or three. Her modern Tai Chi Chi was low and graceful, and there were circles in her motions, but the arms were not set in the unbendable sphere. They were bendable and amazing to perceive...and useless in a fight.

Standing on one leg and presenting the Open Kick posture...but borrowing from Shaolin, or perhaps even Taekwondo for the stretch and the flair and the indelible impression on the mind. **End Summary** Topics: tai chi chuan power tai chi chuan chi power chi power
About the Author:
For beautiful, yet functional <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Five_Army_Tai_Chi_Chuan.html">tai chi chuan</a> , head on over to <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/">Monster Martial Arts</a> .

Karate Kiai And The Secret Of Kotodama

Karate Kiai translates as 'spirit shout,' and it is the deadly scream that karate practitioners emit when chopping somebody's head off. Well, maybe I stated that a little strongly, grin, but there is a truth to the karate shout that is undeniable and leads to some rather arcane and mysterious knowledge. I am speaking, of course, of the practice of Kotodama, which translates as 'Word spirit.'

The notion behind a Karate kiai is to commit all of ones energies into one moment, one karate technique, and thus to enhance the power of the strike. The idea of scaring a somebody is somewhat secondary, but not to be discounted. Both of these concepts lead to rather interesting belief systems and mysterious realities.

Kotodama is the practice of creating soothing sounds, which sounds can engender a more spiritual feeling in a person. There is, of course, the flip side, the bad word phenomena, in which a sound is used to hurt another person. Either way, kotodama results in the practice of kotomuke (soothing speech to bring peace), and kotoage, which is producing magic. **End Summary** Topics: karate kung fu shaolin kenpo taekwondo savate
About the Author:
The writer advises the study of a Karate Style or a similar martial art to find the truth of the <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Matrixing_Chi.html">karate kiai</a> , and to begin the journey to an understanding of Kotodama and other such abilities.
A Better Method For Learning Martial Arts And The Three Ways Of Thought

Learning Martial Arts should be as simple as walking, but some martial art sensei would have you believe that it takes long decades. The unhappy truth is that these same martial arts experts are the ones making it difficult to learn. Most instructors teach the subject using the most inefficient method on the planet.

This article is going to be about the three methods of human thought and how those methods impact on the instruction of such arts as karate or kung fu. Just understanding the four methods of thought changes the way people think. This can make learning martial arts as simple as falling off a log.

The first thing to understand is that people try to see the whole picture. They look at the world, try to understand it, try to make it make sense, and this method of thought is called Mosaic. This is the method for savages, for people who require a science of chipping stone arrowheads, but no higher abstract is needed.

As mankind evolves linear thought makes an appearance, and this is the sequencing of pieces of data. **End Summary** Topics: karate learning martial art kung fu kenpo taekwondo
About the Author:
Matrixing was specifically discovered through studies in the martial arts.
Seven Ways To Protect Yourself And Your Loved Ones From Home Invasion!

Used to be the home was where you were safe, but the unfortunate fact is that home invasion has actually become a big crime. I came up with the following seven ways for protecting your domicile after being a manager at an apartment house. What I say here applies to everything, homes or even vehicles.

Let there be light! You should have simple, motion detector lights installed around your premises. The secret of a crook, you see, is that he doesn't want to be seen, he wants to blindside you, and shedding a little light on the subject works better than an alarm system.

Don't walk down that path! Locks on doors and gates go a long way, but loud noises work even better. You would be shocked at how well hanging some loud bells on a door or gate will work, because thugs not only don't want to be seen, they don't want to be heard.

The bark and bite method! The most superior burglar alarm in the world has fur and teeth. It doesn't even have to be a big mastiff... **End Summary** Topics: home invasion home burglar karate taekwondo kenpo kung fu
About the Author:
You can make the earth a better place.
Gangs Learn Martial Arts By Joining The Army!

This is an awful notion, that a gang member could learn martial arts by joining the army. The sad truth, however, is that gang recruitment is up, severely, and these gangs are actually using the military for training in martial arts, combat weapons, and all manner of skills. This could be utterly terrifying, if you think about it, a gang member being trained as a soldier and then turned loose on the streets of America.

That the number of these criminals enlisting in the military is up is without a doubt. According to the FBI there has been a sizable 40 per cent rise in gang membership since 2009. These are people reared in the gang society, don't have work, and the military presents a viable option for earning a living.

To be truthful, many gang members join the military with the desire to get out of the gang life. Once in the military, however, they find a culture of gangsters in the armed services. These gangsters go about enlisting new gang members, and picking up any 'strays' that are attempting to leave the gang life. **End Summary** Topics: learn martial arts learn karate learn kung fu learn kenpo
About the Author:
Do you have <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Blinding_Steel.html">what it takes</a> to beat an army trained criminal?
Three Things One Must Know When Doing Real Shaolin Kung Fu Training

The wins students get from true Shaolin Kung Fu training are absolutely unbelievable. The key to these wins is to train correctly. After all, you could have the nicest cut of ribs in the world, but cook it incorrectly and you'll have a charcoal mess.

When one is studying Kung Fu one should always move the body as a single unit. Six Harmonies Boxing preaches that one should move the hand at the same time as the foot, the knee with the elbow, and the hips with the shoulders. This is a technical viewpoint, which tends to separate body parts even as it unifies them.

As for the hands and feet, one should step or twist into a stance in conjunction with the starting and stopping of the hand movement. For the knees and elbows, one should properly align the body when doing any movement. For the hips and shoulders, move them together and you will be putting all your body weight into whatever motion you are doing.

The second of the three secrets of Shaolin Kung Fu training is to use the waist when turning the body. **End Summary** Topics: shaolin kung fu kenpo karate aikido taekwondo
About the Author:
Simplest and most efficient <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Shaolin_Butterfly.html">Shaolin Kung Fu</a> Training on the planet!
Bruce Lee Workouts And Developing Real Strength-Part Two

When people do Bruce Lee workouts they have no idea just how brutal that workout can be. They watch Enter the Dragon, they read the martial arts training books, but they don't know what Bruce Lee was really capable of. They don't have no idea how physically strong he really was.

It wasn't just that he was a martial arts true believer, he could actually do superhuman feats. I've listed a few of the things he could do in this bit of writing, and you should think about them seriously when you do your Bruce Lee workouts. It's more than just push ups and sit ups, it is a different and fantastical realm of physical capability.

First, the sheer speed one builds doing Bruce Lee training routines is more than just faster than the eye could see, it is faster than the mind can comprehend! He could punch an opponent in five one hundredths of second...that's 0.05 seconds. Try moving your thumb that fast on your digital stopwatch!

Second, Bruce Lee could extend a seventy-five pound barbell straight out for several seconds. That is a unbelievably difficult. **End Summary** Topics: karate kung fu kenpo taekwondo aikido
About the Author:
The best method to build a perfect and strong body is <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Yogata.html">Yogata</a> .
The Art of Aikido was established and presented to the world by Morihei Ueshiba. O Sensei (great teacher), as he is called was not a heroic figure in the beginning. He was of poor health when he was a youngster, and somewhat sporadic in his training efforts.

In 1915 the first real step in the life of the founder of Aikido began. He met Takeda Sokaku, the last real samurai, who was the master of Daito Ryu Aiki Jujitsu. For over twenty years Morihei Ueshiba dedicated his life to learning this ancient art and perfecting the moves that would result in Aikido techniques.

The second step in the life of the founder of the Art of Aikido was when he encountered Onisaburo Deguchi. Onisaburo was the spiritual head of the Omoto kyo religion. Omoto Kyo (Great Source) preaches shinto spirituality and the achievement of personal spirituality through the practicing of virtue.

The Art of Aikido could be said to have officially been born when Morihei Ueshiba experienced personal enlightenment in 1925. He had a duel with a navel officer in which he defeated the fellow without harming him by using Aikido moves. **End Summary** Topics: art of aikido taekwondo hapkido gozoshioda
About the Author:
The <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Matrix_Aikido.html">Art of Aikido</a> can be learned through an entirely different <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Matrix_Aikido.html">Martial Arts training</a> method.

Bagua Kung Fu training began for me four decades ago. I was involved in Chinese Kenpo Karate, fascinated by martial arts, and I found this little martial arts book, and...four decades later I still walk in circles. Circles, of course, are the secret of good bagua.

You walk in circles you circle your turns your arms rotate you...breath. It really is the simplest art I know, yet one of the most complex, and one of the most difficult. And, it has the most glorious and observable benefits of any Martial Art that I train in.

Anyway, what this article is about is that back in the 90s I decided to build myself a Bagua training hall. I didn't want a wooden structure, however, I wanted an open air location where I could experience the purity of environment that the ancients had. So I looked out my back door and up the mountain.

Actually, it wasn't much of a mountain, more of a hill, but there was a charm to it. **End Summary** Topics: bagua baguazhang pa kua pa kua chang kung fu
About the Author:
Learn <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Butterfly_Pa_Kua_Chang.html">Bagua</a> Kung Fu in twelve weeks.
Karate Kumite...Getting Emotional And Mad Dog Survival

Karate Kumite and Clint Eastwood, I never thought those two things would come together in a single paragraph. In the old western 'The Outlaw Josie Wales,' Mr. Eastwood talks to some some soft pioneers about how to get mad dog mean when you're in a fight to the finish. There is truth to be found in this advice, but if you are training in classical martial arts training, there is also a falsehood.

The truth is that you have to raise up your desire to survive. You have to be willing to do more than you have ever done before. You have to be willing to fight harder and never give up.

The lie is that emotion increases your desire to win. To understand this, and other things concerning emotion and the martial arts, we have to define what, exactly, emotion is. The odd thing is that if you look in a dictionary you will not find a good definition.

Emotion isn't 'mood,' or an 'instinctive state of mind,' except in the vaguest of terms. When somebody is unable to accept reality he/she creates a mental turmoil that is labeled emotion. **End Summary** Topics: karate kung fu shaolin keenpo taekwondo savate
About the Author:
Is there a thug in your neighborhood?
Karate Kick Harder With These Seven Easy Training Tips

Karate Kick Harder than anybody else by following these seven simple tricks. Most people you see, whether they are doing karate kicks,or kung fu kicks, don't really understand the physics involved in a proper leg kick. These poor unfortunate martial arts students are merely told to kick air, or kick a bag, and that's where there instruction ends.

First thing you must do, you must lift the knee when you throw a Taekwondo kick. This makes sure that the foot travels directly into the attacker's body, and doesn't arc or slide against the body. It's like smacking a peg with a sledgehammer, you have to make sure the force travels straight into the peg.

Second, you must tilt the hips slightly. You don't have to tilt them much, but they have to tilt enough so that there is a line through them to the tan tien. This insures that the whole weight of the body is transmitted into the karate kick.

Third simple tip is that you must turn the hips slightly, making sure that the body gets behind the kick. **End Summary** Topics: harder kicks Moo Duk Kwan karate kick hard punch
About the Author:
Kung Fu <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Matrix_Karate.html">Kick Harder</a> !

Karate chop him, yelled the girl, and I laughed. This was a movie where neither the actor, the writer, the director, not nobody, knew the martial arts. See, people used to think that a karate chop to the neck would kill people outright, of course, this was a while ago.

When I first began studying the art of Chinese Kenpo Karate I was told that a spear hand strike to the solar plexus or the neck was the deadliest martial arts attack one could deliver. Just stick those steel hard fingers in the soft areas and watch your opponent die. A spear hand was supposed to be better than a karate chop, but only by a little.

Then I heard about the Dim Muk, or what is commonly called The Death Touch. You touch a person on a special spot somewhere on their body and they drop dead. Of course, it would take twenty years to master the Chi Power, learn all the pressure points and times they were vulnerable, and by that time I'd be ancient and too slow to do such a thing. **End Summary** Topics: karate kung fu shaolin keenpo taekwondo savate
About the Author:
Before you learn the single finger trick you have to learn The Secrets of <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/The_Punch%21.html">The Punch</a> .

The Bubishi, the one having to do with White Crane and Monk's fist Boxing, was compiled sometime over the last few hundred years in Fuzhou Province. Fuzhou is where Shaolin Kung Fu was practiced, and which kung fu became the inspiration for Naha-te, which became Karate. There is no doubt that it is one of the most influential martial arts books in history, and probably the bible of All Karate.

The Bubishi is actually a lengthy work of art, jam packed with poems, anatomical drawings, and so on. In writing this article I decided to concentrate on the eight phrases which were pivotal to the inspiration of such arts as Goju Ryu Karate and Uechi Ryu Karate. The meaning of these phrases, which are named Kempo Hakku (Eight Rules of the Fist), can be found by examining them through the Science of Matrixing

The beginning phrase is, 'the mind exists as one with heaven and earth.' This is a realization that the universe is dichotomous, that there is the realm of the spirit and there is the realm of material universe. **End Summary** Topics: bubishi karate bible kung fu bible shaolin monks fist
About the Author:
The <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Master_Instructor_Course.html">Bubishi</a> is actually a Bible of Karate.

That Martial Arts are the real reason for America's decline and fall is unarguable. The lack of martial art training causes a lack of self discipline, a loss of integrity, and the decline of responsibility. This is exactly what is at the root of the decline of America.

Now, we can carry on about the big name corporations, the president being a socialist, the unions trying to get something for nothing, and while there is going to be a certain amount of truth in these things, the responsibility for change is still going to fall upon the individual. The horrific fact, you see, is that more than 1 out of every 10 Americans over the age of twelve is on prescription drugs for depressed mental health. This is not individual responsibility, this is band aids for cancer!

These meds are doctor prescribed antidepressants like prozac, and there has been a direct link established between such drugs and suicide. How many people commit suicide because of the martial arts? Not too many. **End Summary** Topics: martial art judo jujitsu taekwondo aikido karate
About the Author:
You can learn Kung Fu online pretty easy.

There are many methods one can use to learn martial arts, to learn Kung Fu or Karate, or to learn any martial art. Unfortunately, most of these methods have limited workability. There is one method, however, that can be used in any art, and improves the learning curve drastically.

Most methods, you see, are based on monkey see monkey do, which is pretty much the oldest, and most inefficient, martial arts training method in existence, in history, and ever. The modern, state of the art method for learning a martial art is matrixing. No offense, but if you live in some backwoods place and haven't heard of matrixing, you could probably do a quick google on matrix karate, or matrix kung fu, and find out what it is.

At any rate, there are some rather simple methods one can use if one decides to learn kung fu online, or learn karate at home, or whatever. The first method, though it is basically monkey see monkey do, is simply to memorize a form. The real education starts, however, when one realizes that they can practice the form facing in any direction. **End Summary** Topics: learn martial arts learn karate learn kung fu learn kenpo
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/You_Can_Get_a_Black_Belt_Online%21.html">Learn Martial Arts</a> , learn Karate or taekwondo or whatever, by using the fastest and most efficient training method in history.
Karate Self Defense Applications From Heian Three

The karate self defense applications from the old forms are sometimes odd. By this I mean they are hard to understand, and sometimes to work. The problem of course, is that they are unique situations having to do with combat, and not arranged in any particular sequence or order.

When one learned the ancient karate forms methods, the sequence of forms themselves was out of order. That martial arts arrangement of kata was taught for the longest time before the forms were finally put in the right order. In particular, I am talking about the switching of Pinan one and Pinan Two.

This article is about the first sequence of moves from the next kata, heian three. This karate form begins with moves that should be learned earlier. The problem is that the self defense movements in the form are hard to understand.

In that martial arts form the footwork pattern opens up with a simple basic back stance. Then, however, you have a set of double blocks done with the feet married. To say that the feet are married is to mean that they are placed next to each other. **End Summary** Topics: karate self defense karate applications karate moves kung fu
About the Author:
If you desire to see illustrations of the <a href="http://learnkarateonline.net/karate-techniques/karate-self-defense-moves-pinan-three/">Karate Self Defense</a> Moves I have explained here, click to <a href="http://learnkarateonline.net/karate-techniques/karate-self-defense-moves-pinan-three/">Learn Karate Online</a> .

I had studied Chinese Kenpo Karate, an Ed Parker system, for two years. I was an instructor in my training hall, and I had written the training manual for my school. Then I ran into an Outlaw Biker, a Hells Angel, to be specific.

The story actually started when the hamburger place I was working at hired a geeky looking fellow. I wasn't too impressed with him, but then one day I saw him kick a wall. The wall shook like the 1906 earthquake had started all over again, and I knew that he knew some kind of martial arts.

He told me he was learning Kang Duk Won Korean Karate. He said he wasn't that good at it, which I found hard to believe. He said, however, that his brother was a lot better, and let's go see him.

So that night we drove to Sunnyvale to meet his brother. As we pulled up Alex turned to me and said, "I should tell you that my brother is a Hells Angel." I blinked, but, heck...I knew Chinese Kenpo Karate, right? **End Summary** Topics: kenpo dojo martial art martial arts techniques karate
About the Author:
The things that martial arts add to their <a href="http://www.freemartialartsonline.com">martial art</a> , the slant towards tournaments and making money, there's no end to the gimmicks that have screwed up the art.
Old Man Knocked Down For The Count...Is It Time To Study Kung Fu?

You're going to realize it is time to Study Kung Fu when you see this video. It takes place on a Chicago subway, some old guy is walking along begging for change, and he runs into the wrong people. To see the video simply google 'Elderly Man Attacked on CTA Platform (Chicago).'

Now, time for some serious thought about what just happened. You see somebody old and helpless, almost dazed, definitely doesn't have a clue, get the sense knocked out of him. So what is it about him that drives a bunch of young criminals to violence?

He isn't a threat, not any way you look at him. He's not threatening people, doesn't really look like he knows what he is doing. So there is no reason for his mugging, and let's consider the young punk who did the deed to him.

The guy is young and full of himself, probably doesn't work for a living, and doesn't look like he wants to. He's got his circle of friends, all as full of themselves and as criminal as him, and they are cheering him on. So here's the question: is this what is happening to America? **End Summary** Topics: study kung fu kung fu class shaolin class kenpo class karate
About the Author:
It's definitely time to <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Art-Enter_the_Butterfly.html">study Kung Fu</a> .
The Hard Punch Of Flux Theory Is Really An Empty Strike

If martial artists really want to understand the concepts of how to punch hard they have to study Flux Theory. Flux Theory is the analysis of the flow of energy, and is unique to the martial arts. Except for a few mystical notion, Flux Theory is not understood by mankind.

The Flow of Energy goes in two directions, and these are defined as positive or negative. This depends on viewpoint. For the transfer of energy from one person to the next is a flow and the viewpoint of positive or negative will change depending on which end of the strike you are on.

When energy flows towards somebody we define it as positive. When energy flows away from somebody we define it as negative. To make the hard punch of Flux Theory one must learn to deliver strikes with negative or 'empty' energy.

What this means is that the fist is flowing towards someone in a positive manner, but the energy is flowing up the arm and away from the fist. I know this sounds like an opposing concept, but it isn't, it is the idea of learning to relax until the arm is limp, and that while striking. **End Summary** Topics: hard punch karate strike one inch punch bruce lee
About the Author:
The <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/The_Punch%21.html">Hard Punch</a> of Flux Theory, also called the Empty Strike, is presented in The Punch.
Seascape Painting Come When The Artist Uses Impasto Painting Technique

When doing a seascape painting I sometimes use impasto technique. I do it lightly, looking for flavor, instead of slapping on the paint like a drunken five year old. I also use this technique with landscape paintings, and sometimes, depending on the type of pet, pet paintings.

Impasto is when you layer on the oil, often leaving thick chunks and swirls on the canvas. Overused, it is like paper mache, and one has to question what medium one is actually using to express with. Used lightly, it tends to give hints and flavors of depth.

There is actually nothing incorrect about over using the technique, it really is a matter of what the artist prefers. There are some people who like to create shadows with the colors they use. Then there are others who don't like shading colors and prefer the actual three dimensional effect given by thick impasto.

This three dimensional effect can work two ways. Obviously, there is little 3-D when one snaps a photo, what you see is the flat facts. But when one layers on the impasto seascape paintings tend to have so much more versatility than seascape photos. **End Summary** Topics: seascape painting landscape painting pet painting
About the Author:
Inspect my <a href="http://conniescustompetportraits.com/conniescustompetportraits.com/">seascape painting</a> .
Man Steals Own TV Set And Asks Why Didn't He Learn Taekwondo!

This guy had to be wondering why didn't he learnTaekwondo. He lived in Wilmington, back east, and he was sauntering down the sidewalk, approaching his own house. Seeing a fellow struggling under a TV set, he quickly jumped in and offered to help.

You can imagine his surprise, maybe when he grabbed the falling remote, or maybe saw a glass stain on the top, or whatever, that he was holding his own TV set. He looked down the street and realized that his front door was open! That's right, he was helping a thief steal his own TV set!

Now, what do you do in such a predicament? Do you let go of the TV set, breaking it, and throw a front kick? Do you ask the fellow to put it on the ground for a second, pretending you are tired or need to regrip it, and then scream bloody murder?

Heck, the criminal has ransacked your very home. He has gone through your possessions, taken whatever he wanted, and treated your home like a grocery store! **End Summary** Topics: learn taekwondo learn karate learn kenpo learn kung fu
About the Author:
Get yourself in tip top condition!
What Is A Karate Sensei Actually Trying To Do?

Not many people know what a real Karate sensei is trying to do. Too often people enter a karate lesson, learn to bow and address the teacher as Sensei, and don't even know what the word means. This is true not just of karate, but of other arts, such as Kenpo or Kung Fu, which have taken to using the term to indicate a martial arts instructor. To understand the word sensei, however, is to change one's mind about what the martial arts are all about.

In Japan there is a three year 'task' for monks during their training. During this time they must live by the kindness of their fellow man. They sit in places where people pass by and hold their cups out and beg without speaking.

Many monks gather at crossroads. People stop, flip a coin in the bowl, and walk on. And, sometimes, people inquire where a particular destination is.

The monk, who after a time of living in such a manner looks rather shabby, merely extends his finger and points down the road. Thus, the word sensei means: 'He who points the way. **End Summary** Topics: kenpo teacher karate teacher karate sensei kenpo master
About the Author:
The good news, there is a method which teaches an instructor how to teach in the old methods. <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com/Master_teachor_Course.html">Karate Sensei</a> everywhere should visit <a href="http://www.monstermartialarts.com">Master teachor Course</a> at Monster Martial Arts.
