Ebook? The Brave New World of Publishing

Think of your eBook as a potential ongoing serial or course. Pull out certain sections as a special report available on your website, or into audio or visual tapes using these sections to promote current or future products. Create a squeeze page or landing page in which a potential buyer can download your report to encourage the purchase of your eBook. No other publishing method has this kind of flexibility for expansion.

Ebooks are easily distributed or downloaded online. One of the best features that have served us well is the fact that an eBook is easily updated. As an example, a year ago I published a book on Foreclosure that has been updated four times in six months as the U.S. House and Senate keep changing the laws regarding foreclosure, mortgages, and home ownership.

In my company we duplicate 700 to 800 eBooks disks at a time so the book is as current as the last duplication of disks. Being able to immediately download an eBook online and put the book on your hard drive saves a trip to the local bookstore or waiting for it to come in the mail. We have truly become impatient consumers. **End Summary** Topics: ebook ebooks publishing self publishing independent publishing printing
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his newest, Defeat Foreclosure and The Nursing Home Crisis.A pioneer in independent publishing he has published 150 title including Witness to War for the Los Angeles Times which won a Pulitzer.

Clinton, Gore and Gen. Clark Committed War Crimes

A World conflict, especially one in which President Clinton took us to war in the Balkans without an Act of Congress, a vote at the United Nations, in violation of the UN Charter and resolution #1244, a violation of the NATO Treaty, and the Helsinki Final Act is finally being exposed to the naive American public.

For the first time in this country the media became a Partisan Press that participated in ugly deceptions, cover ups, fabrications, deliberate lies and omission journalism. It was deceitful and shameful and no one has lost a single job for this violation of journalistic ethics.

Ten years after the fact, author Vojin Joksimovich, Ph. D. and Nuclear Engineer reveals some of the ugly details including Ecocide on an entire Serbian nation. Vice President Al Gore travels the world today making millions of dollars as the Chicken Little The Sky is Falling hypocrite who managed to look the other way as he poisoned Belgrade and surrounding territory for the next 100 years. To receive the Nobel Prize for his so called ecology concerns shows the lack of conscience by this man. **End Summary** Topics: kosovo clinton Gen.
Inflation Or Deflation?

Economists and investors have been arguing the debate between inflation vs. deflation for the past year. Most Americans support inflationists like legendary Marc Faber and Kiyosaki with a rising tide of spooky deflationists like Mish Shedlock and Henry Dent driving people to bury what little money they have in their backyard or converting their investments into gold.

Take a deep breath, step back and evaluate the inflation vs. deflation scenarios. First, real estate is a hard asset that does well during rising inflation. Unlike gold, however, real estate requires maintenance in order to maintain its value. If purchased right and in the best location, location, location, real estate is able to provide a return on every dollar invested and in most parts of the country this still holds true.

Few investors, or for that matter economists, would argue that asset prices have had a dramatic downturn, especially real estate in California which is down by 30.7 percent from its lofty unsustainable perch in 2006 giving pause to deflationary concerns. **End Summary** Topics: mortgage refinance loan modification short sale debt solutions foreclosure
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his newest, Defeat Foreclosure and The Nursing Home Crisis.A pioneer in self and independent publishing he has published 130 title including Witness to War for the Los Angeles Times which won a Pulitzer.

How I Saved a Widow's Home

Job loss, Foreclosure, Depression... or just bad timing, let's face it, these are difficult times. This article is intended to share my 17 years of real estate experience and to help enlighten my readers on how to save your home, protect your credit and fend off the fraudulent foreclosure scam artists. Currently there are 6,600 foreclosures per day in the United States. Over 3 million homeowners are in foreclosure with 4 million more headed in that direction, so listen up!. A 'Default Notice' from your lender is not the end-it can also be a new beginning.

A woman in Pennsylvania recently contacted me after reading my book on foreclosure. Her husband had died and in that dreadful week their mortgage interest rate increased to 7.25% or by $300 per month. Mrs. Phillip was panic stricken realizing that she had not just lost a husband of 45 years, but also his retirement income of $1,880.00 per month ... the money that was making those mortgage payments.

Her husband had 3 kidney transplants in 30 years, heart bypass, hip replacement and a knee replacement. He was surely the authentic "bionic-man. **End Summary** Topics: loan modification refinance debt solutions short sale equity loans mortgage
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his newest, Defeat Foreclosure and The Nursing Home Crisis. He has sold real estate in Beverly Hills and Westwood, California for 17 years.

The Idiots in Congress Don't Read

It is hard to believe that our elected representatives signed a bill for hundreds of billions of dollars and never read a word, but it's true. However, this is not the first time: under a law passed by our irresponsible Congress last year was their ill conceived approach to regulating products for children that contain lead.

I agree, paint containing lead that can chip off of a toy and be placed into the mouth of a child is dangerous, but that is hardly the case when it comes to books where ink does not chip off of its pages.

The federal government has now advised that books for children published before 1985 should not be considered safe and may in many cases be unlawful to sell or even give away.

Bookstores, thrift stores may be at legal risk if they sell older volumes without first subjecting them to testing, at prohibitive expense. I just published a new children's book which I had tested and it cost me $150.00.

How many book in our warehouse can we afford to test before selling or worse, going broke? **End Summary** Topics: lead books for children lead poison printing publishing
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his current titles, Defeat Foreclosure and The Nursing Home Crisis.
Depression: Some New Light on the Old Blues

In the throes of severe depression, it is hard to concentrate, make decisions, or find the energy to do much of anything. Thoughts of suicide are common. Right now, 40 million Americans are in the midst of an episode of depression.

Some have the incapacitating symptoms of what doctors call a major depression. These symptoms usually require professional attention because they are very severe and demoralizing. Feeling hopeless and worthless, a person with major depression may sleep and eat irregularly.

Depression primarily refers to a state of mind that is purely negative, with an inclination to insufficiency and a hopeless lack of interest to do things.

Many of us at one time or another have had a bout of depression, we "get over it." In these cases of minor depression the problem is more manageable. Experts say that people who have some minor depression will feel lousy about themselves and lousy about their lives, but they are managing to function at a high level. A little depression can actually be a motivating factor.

In fact, some of the newfound ways of battling the blues are related to what you do as well as what you feel. **End Summary** Topics: health depression yoga sleep exercise mental health worry problems
About the Author:
William Dorich, author of 7 books including, Defeat Foreclosure and The Nursing Home Crisis.
Are You in an Upside-Down Mortgage?

As a Realtor for more than 15 years, last summer I was a guest at a dinner party in which I announced "that the 150 foreclosures per day in Los Angeles were about to rise to four times that level." My surprised dinner partners accused me of having one-too-many during the cocktail hour, but I was stone sober and most of the other successful business guests thought my doom and gloom remarks were intended to get them to list their property with me. They were smug with their success and their fancy high-rise million dollar condos to realize I was giving them sound warning of things to come, even in affluent Beverly Hills.

I live in one of the expensive zip codes in Los Angeles and when I look over my daily foreclosure list it is shocking that I am surrounded by dozens of foreclosures and properties with major tax liens in some of the most luxurious property in Southern California. The mortgage meltdown was believed to only affect the financial inept and irresponsible home buyers. But this crisis is proving to be an equal opportunity destroyer of lives, families and personal wealth. **End Summary** Topics: foreclosure short sale stop foreclosure mortgage refinance home loans
About the Author:
William Dorich is author of 7 books.
Beware of Scam Artists in a Foreclosure

In every disaster there are those who look for opportunities to take advantage of the vulnerable and the mortgage crisis is no exception, don't be victimized twice.

When you are facing foreclosure and looking for help to avoid losing your home, you need to be careful. There are many corrupt individuals just waiting to pounce upon you and take advantage of your misfortune. They advertise themselves as so called foreclosure rescuers or experts. Before you realize it, they will acquire your property without a formal or recorded purchase for a fraction of what it would have brought at sale.

Without recording any change of ownership they will try to rent your property to another unsuspecting person while you remain legally bound to make the mortgage payments. The mortgage company is unaware that anything is wrong and you are left on the hook to pay the mortgage on a house you no longer possess and upon which you do not receive rentals.

Most homeowners lack adequate knowledge about foreclosure, their legal rights, and alternatives to foreclosure. Beware of scammers who promise rescue from foreclosure.

There are mainly three categories of foreclosure rescue scams: The Phantom Help; The Bailout; **End Summary** Topics: foreclosure foreclosure scams mortgage short sale real estate
About the Author:
William Dorich is author of 7 books.
Learn the Secrets of the Kissing Cure

Great sex does not begin with rotten kisses. Most people do not usually think about the proper way to kiss, when it comes to the lip tango, most just wing it. However, each of us probably has encountered enough slobbers, peckers, and tonsil divers to know that there are right ways and wrong ways to kiss.

Think about it this way. The average person spends over 500 hours of their life kissing. At an approximate length of one minute each, that is over 30,000 kisses. It is therefore worth it to learn to kiss well. Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour. Good, rich, passionate kissing uses up to 600 calories an hour. You decide what your preference is.

The fun part in unlocking the secrets to intimacy, passion, romance and great kisses and that old saying that practice makes perfect is worth remembering. So, working on those rotten kisses can lead to passionate puckering. So if at first you do not succeed, kiss, kiss again.

Intimacy comes in many forms. Kissing is only one of them. **End Summary** Topics: kissing intimacy sex relationships foreplay intercourse
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his newest, 'Defeat Foreclosure' and 'The Nursing Home Crisis.' See: ...

Bonfires And Burning Books

During the Holocaust, book burning was a common practice and tens of millions went up in smoke. But such disgusting proclivities do not die an easy death.

In 1978 Communist dictator Tito of Yugoslavia gave 850,000 Albanian Muslims in Kosovo autonomy, without a single vote of the other 7 million citizens of his country... this was the first time in a communist country that one group of citizens was shown special treatment, including a form of welfare. Albanian authorities in Kosovo took full advantage of the generosity of Tito and fired every Serb from their jobs as doctors, lawyers, teachers, judges and policemen.

The burning of several Serbian Christian monasteries and the systematic rape of Serbian nuns and young Serbian girls was the chosen form of humiliation to ethnic cleanse 150,000 Serbs who fled to Belgrade during a 5 year period of obnoxious abuse. One Serbian nun was raped twice and beaten numerous times, she was 68 years old at the time. The 87 year old Serbian bishop of Kosovo was beaten on the streets by a gang of Albanian teenagers, he spent three months in intensive care nearly dying of his wounds. **End Summary** Topics: book burning lead content lead hazards printing children books reading
About the Author:
William Dorich is an author of 5 books on Balkan history.

3 Magic Words to Stop a Foreclosure

What is a Non-judicial Foreclosure? The simple answer, the lender will auction off your house.

As the name would imply, non-judicial foreclosure does not involve a lawsuit. The lender issues the homeowner a Notice of Default and a notice of its intent to sell the homeowner's property. The trustee must record the Notice of Default in the recorder's office in the county in which your property is located. The Title Insurance Company involved in your original purchase of the property can be helpful in clarifying whether the Notice of Default was properly filed.

With foreclosures at the highest levels since the Great Depression, lenders are overworked and short staffed. This can be a positive factor for a homeowner facing foreclosure. There are occasions in which a trustee mistakenly records against the wrong property, a transposed street address or in the wrong county. Be on guard of clerical errors, transposed street numbers, or misspelled names invalidate the foreclosure. This does not mean you are "home" free, pardon the pun, but what it does do is give you another 90 days as the lender needs to start the foreclosure process over. **End Summary** Topics: foreclosure stop foreclosure short sale modification mortgage default notice home loan
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his newest, 'Defeat Foreclosure' and 'The Nursing Home Crisis.'A pioneer in independent publishing he has published 130 title including 'Witness to War' for the 'Los Angeles Times' which won a Pulitzer.

Publishing Alternative to Rejection Letters

Over the past two decade I have produced and printed books for The Los Angeles Times, Simon & Schuster and Random House and still enjoy relationships with a number of friends at these publishing houses.

I am therefore well aware of the horror stories on the street about what is being called Black Wednesday a few months ago when three dozen people on the editorial staff were handed their pink slips at Simon & Schuster after decades of loyal service. Like most avalanches the process continues to bury hundreds of employees as the head rolling process of downsizing is taking its toll. This is just the beginning of what might be another major industry in this country headed for bankruptcy, hard times and a Washington bailout.

The week before Black Wednesday, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a publishing house made up of two previously independent publishers, including the very successful Harcourt, Brace Jovanovich, decided in November, 2008 to freeze acquisitions and has told it editors to stop buying books. Since November the staff at Houghton Mifflin was decimated as their publisher resigned, surely in protest? **End Summary** Topics: self publishing printing book design publish books writing editing
About the Author:
William Dorich is the author of 7 books including his newest, 'Defeat Foreclosure' and 'The Nursing Home Crisis.'A pioneer in self and independent publishing he has published 130 title including 'Witness to War' for the 'Los Angeles Times' which won a Pulitzer.
Stop Foreclosure... Save Your House and Your Credit

No one needs to remind you that Foreclosures are at a 30 year high or that nearly 5 million people have lost their jobs since Obama became president.

The old saying What goes up must come down applies to a soaring real estate market that was sometimes unrealistically over priced. Alan Greenspan refused to utilize the Feds power to rein in the sub prime perpetrators arguing that the damage from a boom and bust would be less than the damage from regulating the banks. It is now quite obvious that decision was irresponsible and lame. This was like asking Americans to play football without referees. Maybe Greenspan thinks 5 million foreclosures is an acceptable price to pay?

Sellers were delighted when they continued to get their inflated prices over the past few years, many homes sold with multiple offers that bid the home prices up usually to an artificially high level. Consequently, we are having a sharp downward readjustment of prices that may last for the next few years. As an example, it is estimated that 12 to 15 percent of Californians will sell their homes at a loss in 2009, up from the 2. **End Summary** Topics: loan modification short sale foreclosure stop foreclosure loan fraud
A Sucker Is Born Every Minute

If you are heading to the next foreclosure auction you would do yourself a favor by taking what little money you have and giving it away. The only people getting rich in foreclosure are these so called foreclosure experts selling homes on television for $70,000.

Just think about it. If the median price home in your state is $200,000 then what can you get for $70,000 dollars? The answer is quite clear, a shack, an empty shell and four walls...no sinks, no toilets, no bath bubs, no plumbing, no water tank no heater and certainly no windows. You get four walls, many of which have had major holes pounded into the plaster by evicted hostile former owners who went out of their way to destroy the property.

Any savings in a foreclosure immediately evaporate when you need to spend $100,000 just to make the property livable. And if you are really the unlucky buyer you might even discover an undisclosed second mortgage or mechanics lean. Ask yourself this question. **End Summary** Topics: foreclosure short sale mortgage refinance loan modification short sale
Want To Self Publish Your Book?

Self publishing has such a romantic ring to it... that pioneer spirit or the Don Quixote approach to getting your title in print. Independent publishing may be the only option available to most writers these days as major publishers are facing the same hardships as the auto making industry who find themselves overextended to say the least.

We are just beginning to realize the full impact of the publishers who were buying out every independent bookstore in the country to become the biggest bookstore on the block. This meant feeding those giant stores with more and more books with nearly a third returned unsold, representing another boom and bust in this economy. When sold at 70 percent discount as remainder stock this comes right out of those royalty checks.

Like General Motors who made many dumb decisions and can only blame themselves for the fix they are in, the publishing industry midwifes made just as many asinine decisions by flooding the market with thousands of titles per month that did not have a prayer of selling. **End Summary** Topics: publishing self publishing independent publishing printing book design editing
