Do I Have to Be The Good Wife?

Whether in the media or creatively integrated into television dramas we've watched time and again the dutiful wife standing beside her husband who's been caught in some sex scandal, criminal act or any other type of behavior requiring a public mea culpa. Some look sincerely supportive. Others look like they're rather be eating asphalt than where they are. Some look ready to punch the guy in the nose. A scant few are very noticeably missing in action.

What motivates a wife to stand by her husband especially when he's violated her trust and the personal boundaries of their relationship? Many of them are very accomplished and can easily continue their success on their own.

For some, its the first public presentation after the private conversations between man and wife where they've decided to work on keeping their relationship and marriage together.

Others stand by her man out of fear - fear of losing what has been the social or financial foundation of their lives for many years. Who would they be separated from their husband and what the partnership provided? Some muster up whatever it takes to put on a calm and connected front for the sake of their children. **End Summary** Topics: the good wife marriage scandal political scandal public infidelity public humiliation marital infidelity trust in marriage public self-sabotage media
About the Author:
Author, Personal Growth Expert & Sports Psychology Coach, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to become a more complete, self-actualized unique individual.
10 Steps to Creating Your Inner Wealth Legacy

Do you want to be remembered for your estate or the difference you've made in the lives you touched? For most people wealth alone isn't fulfilling. Its using wealth to create and express what is meaningful to you that feeds the soul. Its using your wealth to serve your highest goal that makes a meaningful difference - one that serves as your eternal legacy.

Here are 10 Steps to create an inner wealth legacy that is the the fullest, most complete self-actualized expression of you and your footprints in the sands of time:

1. Claim Your Truth

Strip away the layers and layers of unrealistic expectations, high-standards of perfection and who you think you should be, do or have. Get back in touch with who you really are, what you really want and what would make your heart sing. To the extent you're disconnected from your truth is to the extend you feel empty or like "something's missing".

2. Know What You Value Most

We place value on a lot of things in life - material and experiential. We value our relationships, prized possessions, place in society, titles, ways of being and cultural influences. **End Summary** Topics: inner wealth peak performance money coach life legacy price of privilege soul of money self-awareness sports psychology coach personal values personal
About the Author:
Author, Personal Growth Expert & Sports Psychology Coach, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to become a more complete, self-actualized unique individual.
Pro-Athletes Often Drop The Ball in the Game of Life

Pro-athletes have mastered the skill of getting 'in the zone', firing on all cylinders and winning the game. Why is it, then, so many trip up, drop the ball and feel like they've lost in the game of life?

Here are the hard facts:

• According to Sports Illustrated (SI) 78% of NFL players go bankrupt.
• In the NBA, about 60% of players become broke within 5years of league withdrawal.
• Athletes have a high rate of risky behavior that results in legal trouble: drug abuse, reckless driving, gambling & promiscuity.
• Divorce rates among the athletic elite hover somewhere between 60-80%
• Some pro athlete personality characteristics that enhance game performance also contribute to getting them in trouble.
• Among professional athletes out-of-wedlock births are epidemic resulting in multiple costly & stressful paternity suits.

Its a simple reflection of wherever you go there you are. Many athletes grew up in the challenging (if not dangerous) rough and tumble of an inner city environment or an unhealthy family environment for a child from an emotional intelligence perspective. One can physically leave an unemotionally impoverished childhood through excellence in athletic endeavors. **End Summary** Topics: pro-athlete broke celebrity self-sabotage athletes in trouble sports psychology athlete divorce rate athlete bad behavior in the zone athlete bankrupt
About the Author:
Personal Growth Expert & Sports Psychology Coach, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to live fully, love openly and make a difference.
Achieve a Self-Worth to Rival Your Affluent Net Worth

Money is a vehicle, not a measurement of value. Today's culture is plush with unprecedented comforts and luxuries. Yet, it seems the more material things we have the more we want. And it takes more and more money to get the good stuff, what we think is the good life. We need more to measure up. We need more to feel more. Or so we think. In our 'money makes the world go around' persuasion some revolve exquisitely on an autonomous axis, others spin out of control. I find it a paradox to explore.

The satisfaction that comes with true wealth is an inside job. We want our money to matter and we want our lives to matter more. We want to feel as good, if not better, inside as our life looks from the outside. It is absolutely within your power to use your wealth as a means to create a life of great enjoyment, usefulness and depth from the inside out.

So what is it we want? Really want? What is it that makes the human spirit sing like a free bird? I've asked hundreds of people this very question. Here's their top ten:

1. **End Summary** Topics: personal growth sports psychology coach money messages meaning of life make a difference human desires soul money price of privilege paradox of wealth
About the Author:
Personal Growth Expert & Sports Psychology Coach, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.
Formula For An Extraordinary Life = 2 Words + 3 Things

There are those that will lament that life is too complicated. There are layers upon layers of problems, challenges, different types of people to deal with and unfair or unexpected curve balls. There isn't enough time in the day to do all that we have or want to do.

The truth is, we complicate things for ourselves. Why? Because we shift our values to get what we think we want out of life. We work our butts off to achieve and succeed at what we think will bring us happiness yet many of us still don't feel a sense of joy and inner peace.

If this sounds like you there's a simple formula to return to what matters most and what will give you the feeling of fulfillment and a meaningful sense of purpose - the heartbeats of joy and peace.

At that fateful last day of cognition you will not ask yourself if you won with the most toys or the biggest bank account. You'll ask yourself the following three questions:

1. Did I live openly?
2. Did I matter?
3. Did I love fully? **End Summary** Topics: meaning of life what's it all about alfie personal growth meaningful life fulfilling life true wealth meaningful philanthropy sports psychology celebr
About the Author:
Personal Growth Expert & Sports Psychology Coach, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to live fully, love openly and make a difference.
Raising Affluent Children: 4 Parenting Tips

The hardest job you'll ever have is being a parent. And of course you want to be the best parent you can be. How do you keep a child from being spoiled? How do you teach values, compassion, work ethic, and self-esteem? How do you foster empathy, honesty, self-reliance, self-control, kindness, cooperation and joy? How does a parent promote intellectual curiosity, motivation and passion? By being a consistent healthy role model.

1. Allow your child autonomy. Allow them to be who they are, make their own decisions and voice their truth. Separate what's in your child's best interests from what you want for them. They have their own wants and aspirations. Refrain from undermining intrinsic motivation - the natural self-determined spontaneity, curiosity and genuineness - through extrinsic materialistic reward. Encourage the desire to engage fully in activity for its own sake. Support excellence, doing one's best, rather than just competitive wins. Let go of unrealistic expectations and a seemingly relentless drive for perfection.

2. Show your children that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow. Let go of over protective tendencies if there is no real threat of danger. **End Summary** Topics: parenting privileged children affluenza soul of money inheritance project raising inheritors entitled children entitlement issues entitlement parentin
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert , Author & Speaker, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.
Who Are You Without Your Money?

Who are you? The glitch is…you can't answer with, "I'm a lawyer who drives an SLR McLaren Roadster and has a 3 vacation homes. I'm swept up in lavish parties with Vogue-worthy people. I vacation in Dubai, shop on Rodeo Drive, and don't know the meaning of the words 'wait list.'"

Regardless of how much sand is in your shoes and how much you love the privacy of the East Hampton shore the things you like, or even adore, are not you. What you do and what you have are not who you are.

Now once again…who are you?

Something interesting happens when I invite new clients to, "Tell me about you." They tell me what they do. They enumerate what they have. When I probe deeper and ask, "Who are you really when you're alone with yourself?" The response is usually a blank stare. I respond to the deadened silence by sending them home with the following probing exercise.

Write a thoughtful response to the following questions.

• Are you in touch with your own sorrow?

We want to give our children things that will entertain, inform and inspire. We want them to have the very best. We indulge them often as an expression of how much we love and care for them.

What children value more than presents is your presence. It says to your kids that they are important enough to you to set aside time just to be with them. They notice whether or not you are willing to make changes in your life to make time for them and their priorities.

Being in the same room with your children with your attention elsewhere isn't being present with your children. They know when you're fully engaged in their activity or not. They recognize when your really listening to them or just giving lip service to their conversation.

Just giving gifts to show your love teaches your children that love equals money and materialism. They won't know how to really love or be loved as they grow and become adults. They won't know what it means to be considerate, compassionate, empathetic, intimate or affectionate. They won't experience the joy that comes from being heard and completely understood. **End Summary** Topics: raising affluent children price of privilege paradox of wealth soul money parenting wealthy children emotional needs of children raised by nannies chi
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert,Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to transcend the paradox of privilege to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.

Wealth can give you a feeling of outer security. It won't, however, guarantee inner security. Know any insecure wealthy people? They're suffering from "affluenza". The truth is that real security is an inside job.

Money doesn't protect you from heartbreak. Know any wealthy people who've had their heart broken? Money doesn't protect you from worry. Know any wealthy people who worry? Money doesn't necessarily protect you from financial ruin. Know anyone who's lost their fortune?

I learned this lesson the hard way when my father squandered his millions on women who cared for his money instead of him, business decisions based on ego over real opportunity and what I think of as karma. Money doesn't protect you from aging or death. It doesn't even protect you from scary feelings about aging or death. Yes you can buy a face lift at age 50 and you'll still be 50 - just with a tighter face.

Money won't necessarily protect you from disease. Yes, you can buy a lot of preventive health care with money. That still isn't guarantee against illness.

Wealth doesn't guarantee a life free of the feelings of fear, stress and powerlessness. **End Summary** Topics: affluenza soul of money inheritance project inner wealth gilded cage rich and unhappy celebrity self-sabotage celebrity behavior emotional security we
About the Author:
Inner Wealth and Personal Growth Expert &Author, Valery teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to develop a self-worth to match their net-worth with Moxie - the fortitude to be real with purpose and passion.
Four Signs That Indicate You Are Trapped In Wealth

Many wealthy people, however they come into wealth, enjoy happy satisfying lives. Others do not. It's not unusual for authenticity and autonomy to be traded in for portfolio security. It's an empty, lonely, place from which to live. Its a life lived trapped in a gilded cage.

Here are 4 signs that you're trapped in wealth:

1. More is less.

The more financial security you have the less emotional security you feel. Everything looks even more spectacular from the outside, from the inside not so much. The more you have the more you worry about who you would be without your wealth. Do you merit any value as your open, vulnerable self, naked underneath the costume of money?

Key: Develop a sense of self-worth that matches your net-worth.

2. Feeling isolated or disconnected.

Do you feel different from other people in a way that makes you uncomfortable? Do you feel like you're 'on the outside looking in'? Do you feel out of touch with who you really are? Have you lost a sense of purpose? **End Summary** Topics: inner wealth money trap gilded cage money messages empowered wealth soul money price of privilege golden ghetto celebrity self-sabotage emotional inte
About the Author:
Inner Wealth & Personal Growth Expert, Author & Speaker, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors & money achievers how to create a personal transformation , to become a fuller self-actualized unique individual.
EQ Matters: What Is Your Emotional Intelligence?

Your life experience is a creation of your mindset. What you perceive, feel and voice is an expression of your emotional intelligence, your EQ. Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify, access and purposefully direct your emotions and the emotions of others and groups.

Whether or not your have a healthy or toxic EQ is based upon whether or not you are the deliberate creator or the powerless victim of your thoughts and beliefs - the very things that make up your emotional intelligence. How your future unfolds is to a great extent dependent upon your beliefs about your relationship with your wealth.

Through proper planning and wise investments you have a lot of control over the future of your wealth. The future of your experience is an entirely different matter. That future relies upon how rich you are in your thoughts, actions and feelings. The challenges and stress within the paradox of wealth are real. Not all reasons for those struggles are real.

How you deal with them and shape your life moving forward will define and create your future experience. An event by itself doesn't create discomfort, stress or anxiety. **End Summary** Topics: emotional intelligence change beliefs change thoughts overcome negativity inner wealth wealth coach positive psychology how to stay positive personal
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert &Author, Valery teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to develop a self-worth to match their net-worth with Moxie - the fortitude to be real with purpose and passion.

Who you are being creates your current experience and plants the seeds that will become your future. It doesn't matter what you have or what you are doing, its how how you are being that determines your experiences. Two people can be at the same place at the same time and have two very different experiences? Why?

Because wherever you go, there you are. Where one person found something pleasing another found something painful. Where one saw opportunity another saw restriction. One felt good, the other back. They had two different perspectives.

Your perspective is the combination of your thoughts and beliefs. If you don't like what you have experienced or your the circumstance you're in you have to change your perspective. You have to change your inner beliefs and inner operating system - the parts that don't work for you.

Some people think that if they moved to a new house or city, got a new job or career, found a new relationship, wore different clothes, got a new face, and on and on… they would magically transform their lives. **End Summary** Topics: inner wealth personal growth personal development moxie stuck in life frustrated wealth coach soul money true purpose life with meaning
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert &Author, Valery teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to develop a self-worth to match their net-worth with Moxie - the fortitude to be real with purpose and passion.
Want a Better Relationship? Change Your Story

Having relationship problems? You create your life and your relationships as an artist uses color. The colors you use are the stories you tell. You paint your experience with your thoughts, words and conversations. A life filled with vibrant color, beauty and fulfillment begins with a simple and important step - affirming who you are, what you want and what you stand for as a unique individual.

It's from this palate that you create your experience. You choose the colors, textures and style that becomes the canvas of your life. If you don't like the experience you're getting you have to change your colors. Albert Einstein once said "Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity." Repeating a story over and over again expecting it to give you a new experience is nuts.

Personal Growth, for women and men, is about being able to change your story. Its the easiest way to grow and thrive. Changing your story shifts your attitude. When attitude shifts, results shift. Reluctance turns into commitment. **End Summary** Topics: relationship problems lonely after divorce relationship issues relationships after divorce personal growth expert personal development coach life coac
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert & Author, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to develop a self-worth to match their net-worth with Moxie - the fortitude to be real with purpose and passion.
What Behavior Are You Modeling for Your Children?

The hardest job you'll ever do is be a parent. Naturally, you want to be the best parent you can be. To 'get it right' we unconsciously model how we were parented.

Children learn through modeling. They mimic how a parents acts much more than by what a parent says. What example are you showing your children?

Its great if both parents grew up in healthy supportive environments with love and autonomy. Expressing our individual selves in positive ways with meaning and purpose, plants the seeds and waters the garden for our children to grow healthy, strong, resilient and loving.

Ideally, family is the place where a child doesn't have to work at being his or her self. Its quite a challenge to grow up healthy and balanced if there was any form of emotional - let alone physical - abuse. Much of what we think is normal parenting is abusive to a child that is too young to understand context or examine experiences from a variety of perspectives.

How you spend your time with your child shapes how a child self-identifies. **End Summary** Topics: children behavior relationship with children parenting difficult children emotionally healthy children raising children child development life coach l
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert, Valery Satterwhite teaches financial achievers how to create an experiential shift, a personal transformation, to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.

We all want to love and be loved. If we all want this then why is it so hard for so many people to find lasting meaningful love in an intimate relationship?

Many of my clients come to me to overcome relationship challenges. Often their initial complaint is either "I don't have what I want" or "I can't get what I want". Interestingly enough, the stories are similar for both men and women.

The 'wanting' is centered around a misguided hope that another person can fill the void within. No one else can 'make you happy'. Fulfillment is an inside job. Here's one client's story:

Recently divorced after a toxic 30-year marriage he fell head over heels in love. The woman that sent his heart aflutter is a stunning head-turner who initially showered him with gentle little kisses. He melted whenever she took his hand in hers.

Then after a few short weeks she backed away, suggesting he go find someone else. Where he saw the threshold of a life-time commitment, she saw casual "getting to know you dating". And she didn't like what she got to know.

Heartbroken, my client was in agony. **End Summary** Topics: personal growth expert relationship coach inner wealth coach divorce coach life coach los angeles life coach new york overcome divorce coach personal
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert, Valery Satterwhite, teaches inheritors & suddenly wealthy how to create a personal transformation, become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.

Fast paced life constantly under pressure?

"I can't do it all to please everyone!" "There's not enough hours in the day." "I'm racing against the clock."

These are but a few of the comments we utter in our stressed-out fast-paced life. Its true, even though we now have all kinds of products and services to make our lives easier it seems like its anything but easy. We feel as frazzled as a rattlesnake flipping' around on PCP.

If we're not busy we feel like we're not doing or contributing enough. Frustrated, we're busy but not pleasing anyone let alone ourselves. We fill every awake moment with an activity whether its writing an email, leading a meeting, shopping, playing sports, writing the next great novel, or any of the infinite number of ways we occupy our time.

Not satisfied with just doing one activity at a time, we've become experts at multitasking. We talk on the phone while we drive our car while we're listening to music. **End Summary** Topics: personal growth expert inner wealth coach wealth coach paradox of wealth dynamics of wealth challenges of wealth emotional issues wealth emotional pro
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Personal Growth Expert &Author, Valery Satterwhite teaches inheritors and suddenly wealthy how to develop a self-worth to match their net-worth with Moxie - the fortitude to be real with purpose and passion.
There is much talk and concern over the state of the economy. In private and business discussions as well as the media, we hear the theme of stress and distress due to the current economic issues. Yet when I look around me I see abundance. I see people mustering up their Moxie, getting creative, firing on all cylinders as they thrive instead of merely survive no matter what.

We are blessed to have this day to live and enjoy. Yet we spend so much time commiserating over what we don't have instead of what all that we have - right at our fingertips, right within us. In discounting our most precious resources and assets we see emptiness where there is replenishment.

The world and all of its abundance is nothing in itself. You must give it meaning.

It's the meanings we attach to the things and experiences in our lives that shape how we feel - about ourselves, the world, and our vision for the future. **End Summary** Topics: emotional health emotional issues economic stress executive stress CEO stress emotional anxiety inner wealth stress management pro athlete wife stress
About the Author:
Inner Wealth & Stress Relief Coach, Valery Satterwhite teaches wealth achievers & inheritors how to create a personal transformation, to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.

The movie, Alfie, in which the title role was played by Michael Cain in 1966 and again in 2004 by Jude Law told the story of a joy riding womanizing man coming to terms with the meaning of life. "What have I got? Really? Some money in my pocket, some nice threads, fancy car at my disposal, and I'm single. Yeah... unattached, free as a bird... I don't depend on nobody and nobody depends on me... My life's my own. But I don't have peace of mind. And if you don't have that, you've got nothing. So... what's the answer? That's what I keep asking myself. What's it all about? You know what I mean?"

We meet him as a self-absorbed rogue with a seemingly enviable care-free life on the surface. As we get to know him we discover a tragic character fiercely struggling with deep insecurities, profound loneliness and inability to have a relationship with anyone, especially his own son. As Alfie gradually begins to understand the consequences of his shallow lifestyle where sexual conquest was the only measure of a man. **End Summary** Topics: Alfie movie Jude Law meaning of life life purpose Michael Caine inner peace stress management feel empty inside infidelity meaningless sex
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Author & Speaker Valery teaches inheritors & financial achievers how to create a personal transformation, to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.
You married until death do you part. You worked hard to build a life together, raise the kids and establish your nest egg for the future. And then, seemingly out of nowhere, you're knocked on your ass by a divorce.

After spending some time in a numb haze you begin to get up - not an easy thing to do in a painful emotional wave.

Many first wives are angry, vindictive and scared as they first look a future landscape they didn't plan on and being single again. Ex-husbands tend to be angry, bitter and resentful at first.

I don't refer to Ex-husbands as 1st-Husbands because in a youth-driven society it's often easier for a man to remarry than it is for a woman. My female clients who find themselves in such a situation tell me the dating scene is fraught with age discrimination. It's also been tough for self-assured women who are financially secure. These clients tell me men aren't interested in women who don't 'need' them.

Well, that's one perspective. Another is there are many men of quality who are not intimidated by women of equality. But I digress.. **End Summary** Topics: inner wealth 1st wife 1st wives club first wife divorce overcome divorce resent divorce angry ex-husband divorce resentment mid-life crisis divorce lo
About the Author:
Inner Wealth Coach, Author & Speaker, Valery teaches financial achievers how to create an experiential shift, a personal transformation, to become a fuller, more complete, self-actualized unique individual.
Resentment: 5 Steps to Transform This Nasty Bugger

There's a nasty little - or not so little - bugger stinking up your inner works. Its what keeps you stuck in simmering angst. Sometimes you can't keep it down. It explodes louder and larger than the fireworks off a NYC pier in prime time. Its fire rains back down on you and those around you. There's a name for this gnarly leech: Resentment.

It sucks. It sucks the life energy right out of you.

Resentment's bitterness and anger threatens to turn you into a flaming rage-oholic if you can't get a grip on it long enough to release its poison. You've already learned bitching, complaining and blaming doesn't work. Revenge will get you nowhere fast.

So you're stuck. Smack dab in What The "Rhymes With Truck".

Resentment places you as the victim of your circumstance. And you weren't born to be a victim. Victims just create more victim experiences. It's the person who can't get out of his or her own way. Know anyone like that?

Resentment is a cry out for relief from holding onto anger. It's the innate spirited part of you begging you to let go of the past and go ahead with living, thriving. **End Summary** Topics: resentment divorce help for women divorce help for men how to survive divorce how to get over a break-up dealing with infidelity how to overcome divor
About the Author:
Author, Coach & Speaker Valery teaches people to trade in ineffective routines & rituals for newly designed strategies to live a fulfilled, meaningful life and make a profound impact from the inside out.

If you knew me 15 years ago you wouldn't recognize the author, coach and public speaker - with a lot of Moxie - I am today.

I was once the shiest person I knew. As a child, I dreaded the first day of school because I usually had to stand up and tell everyone what I did on my summer vacation. To stand up, speak and have everyone look at me scared the shit out of me.

As an adult and a Senior Level Executive I often had to give presentations in front of groups including the Board of Directors. Terrified, I couldn't sleep knowing I was sure to forget everything and look like a blathering idiot. My career - my life - would be ruined. I was sure of that.

I lived. And learned how to step into my fear and insecurity instead of running away from it. I was surprised to find out it took less energy to be willing to be vulnerable than it was to resist what turned out to be not so bad after all.

The way to be secure in your insecurity is simply this:

Suck it up, cupcake.

Your insecurity is real. **End Summary** Topics: how to stop being insecure how to fix insecurity how to improve self-worth how to improve self-esteem how to overcome loneliness lonely after divorce
About the Author:
As an Author & Coach Valery is known for teaching people how to trade in ineffective routines & rituals for newly designed strategies to live a fulfilled, meaningful life & make a profound impact from the inside out.
2011: 3 Steps To Be Accountable To Your Excellence

Truth is, you already are accountable. You are the ultimate creator of all that you do, all that you experience. While you may not have created certain events in your life, you are the generative force behind what you have that experience mean for you. Have to allowed yourself to become the victim of circumstance? Or have you spent your moments examining, learning and rising above?

Either way, hold yourself accountable. Without judgment. You were doing the best you can with the light you had to see. Today, we're going add a little more light to expand your view.

To begin, I'll use this quote a lot because it defines my daily mission - for my self and as in service to you:

"When you feel in your gut who you are and dynamically pursue it - don't give up and don't back down - you're going to mystify a lot of folks." - Bob Dylan

It's my belief that we are here - on this earth - to mystify a lot of folks. We're here to show up with grace and excellence as we fully express our potential - our special innate gifts - no matter what. **End Summary** Topics: resolutions therapy coach accountable accountability goals overcome life coach empowerment inner critic
About the Author:
Valery helps unfulfilled people reclaim their voice, satisfy what was 'missing', make a greater impact & enjoy an inner wealth legacy.

I've always loved the lyrics in the song Landslide by Stevie Nicks:

"Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?"

I first heard the song when it came out in 1975. I was completely alone; shell shocked from a traumatic childhood. And all alone during the holidays.

Yet even through that dark period I knew there was a light within me. I recognized it as the child I was when I came into the world. I knew I was here to fully express that child in her adult form.

But I felt so disconnected from that spark, that part of me that was snuffed out a long time ago. I was depleted. I thought everyone else on the planet was full of joy except me. What is love?

As I grew older, whenever I was knocked on my ass or felt lost I remembered the line "Can the child within my heart rise above?" In one way or another - not always elegantly - she did. She rose above. **End Summary** Topics: holiday depression anxiety frustrated relationship therapy coach shopaholic life coach love
About the Author:
Valery helps unfulfilled people reclaim their voice, satisfy what's 'missing', make a greater impact and enjoy an inner wealth legacy.
