A Step to Build Strong Physical Therapist Referral Base

Most physical therapists in private practice have what they think is a successful practice, that is built depends on a few doctors. However, if anything happens to any of one of these guys, their successful practice would cease to exist. Running a practice for years depending on a few doctors that refer 50% of your business, is not safe.

It happens to most physical therapists and Rehabilitation & Physical Therapists, that have their own practice, even other business types. Most everyone starts their practice with a few doctors that know you and will refer you business. When business slows down, you visit the doctors you know; it's easier and quicker. If you get a lot of referrals you are happy and stay with that group of doctors. If that works, that is good, but it's sort of like putting all your eggs in one basket. They may go out and hire their own therapist, or one complaint, one disagreement and then you are gone. It's not that strong of a base and one word from the doctor's office that they have a new Better” physical therapist and all their clients leave you. **End Summary** Topics: Lumbar Support Products SI Belts Mettler Serola Belts
About the Author:
GNRcatalog.com is a leading supplier of quality Rehabilitation, Fitness & Physical Therapy Products to industry professionals.
Some Common Back Pain Causes

Lower Back Pain is a common complaint among many people. The lower back carries most of your weight, so you can see why. The first most common cause of back pain is a muscle strain or a sprain to a ligament. These strains and sprains can occur from a few reasons.

1. Lifting heavy objects improperly

2. Being overweight

3. Sitting or standing improperly (poor posture)

4. Osteoarthritis which occurs over time and is also known as Wear & Tear Arthritis”

5. Injury

There are many other causes of Low Back Pain, however these are the most common.

The key is when a client comes into your office and complains of lower back pain there a few things that should be checked first. The first question, of course, is if they hurt themselves at sports, running, walking, working or whatever. If they didn't, then these are some other causes you may want to eliminate before you start treatment.

What do they do for a living? Do they sit all day, do they lift heavy objects, play sports, etc. This usually is the main cause of their lower back pain. **End Summary** Topics: Lumbar Support Products SI Belts Mettler Serola Belts.
About the Author:
GNRcatalog.com is a leading supplier of quality Rehabilitation, Fitness & Physical Therapy Products to industry professionals.
Who Invented These Killer Shoes?

I always wondered who invented High Heel” shoes and Pointed” shoes.

It can't be someone that wears them. No way is that possible, unless they like torture at any cost.

I personally have no clue how woman can wear these ”Torture Chambers”. I am not naive and do, however, realize that society has labeled them a necessary accessory. So women, in general, wear them because they have to for vanity purposes, since society says high heels look better. (Makes your legs look slender, is more professional, etc.) Believe me, I'm was no better. I used to wear them also, (but not more than 2”). However, my feet just couldn't take it anymore. Everything I wear is flat and wide and if it does have a heel it is no more than 1/2 inch.

Combine the pointed toe and a high heel and ugghhh how can anyone wear them?

Then that makes me wonder. I would think that a normal person would look at them and see it doesn't work. How could anyone even conceive that it would sell? I often wonder who designs these types of shoes? **End Summary** Topics: Lumbar Support Products SI Belts Mettler Serola Belts
About the Author:
GNRcatalog.com is a leading supplier of quality Rehabilitation, Fitness & Physical Therapy Products to industry professionals.
Is Stretching Good for You

If we can increase our flexibility this means that we can have a wider range of comfortable movements. The more we can move comfortably then the less likely we are to injure ourselves when lifting heavy objects or exercising.

Stretching

It also gives us the ability to lift more, jump higher and bend more because well stretched muscles actually have greater power when they contract. That is why stretching is important before exercise. Stretching will tone up muscles and trim the body, but for a full health regime, it is important to include aerobic exercise which helps keep the heart muscle exercised.

Other benefits of stretching include:

• Circulation Stretching increase blood flow to your muscles. The better circulation in your muscles the quicker injured muscles will recover.

• Posture Regular stretching prevents your muscles from tightening up, thereby allowing you to have proper posture.

• Stress Stretching relaxes your tense muscles if you are under stress.

• Injury Protection Stretching prepares your muscles for activities which can protect you from injury.

• Flexibility By stretching you are becoming more flexible which will aid in perform normal daily routines like lifting, bending or running. **End Summary** Topics: Lumbar Support Products SI Belts Mettler Serola Belts Lo
About the Author:
GNRcatalog.com is a leading supplier of quality Rehabilitation, Fitness & Physical Therapy Products to industry professionals.
Lower Back Pain is a Pain

Lower Back Pain, affects both those unaccustomed to physical activity and regular exercisers.

The first step to understanding the various causes of low back pain is learning about the normal design anatomy of the tissues of this area. Important structures of the low back that can be related to symptoms there include the bony lumbar spine vertebrae, discs between the vertebrae, ligaments around the spine and discs, spinal cord and nerves, muscles of the low back, internal organs of the pelvis and abdomen, and the skin covering the lumbar area. Many muscle groups that are responsible for flexing, extending, and rotating the waist, as well as moving the lower extremities, attach to the lumbar spine through tendon insertions.

Fortunately, most occurrences of low back pain go away within a few days. Acute or short-term low back pain generally lasts from a few days to a few weeks. Low back pain may reflect nerve or muscle irritation or bone lesions. **End Summary** Topics: Lumbar Support Products SI Belts Mettler Serola Belts
About the Author:
GNRcatalog.com is a leading supplier of quality Rehabilitation, Fitness & Physical Therapy Products to industry professionals. Buy SI Belts, Serola Belts, Wonder-Roll, Biofreeze Mettler, Lumbar Support Products, Aquasonic Gel, Theraband at the best possible prices and superior customer service.
