Since September 11th, 2001, international travel has changed drastically. Quite honestly, all domestic travel has changed as well. Life since then will never be the same for anyone, not just when it comes to travel. Since many changes have been implemented in regards to domestic and international travel, travelers need to constantly be aware of what is going on. As many people have already discovered, the rules and regulations can change on a daily basis - especially with international travel. At airports very recently, a new terror threat caused much havoc for passengers carrying on many items. Airport garbage cans were overflowing with items that were banned and needed to be abandoned. Passports were checked and rechecked numerous times. Security for international travel was incredibly intense and should remain that way. It is a shame that there are such radicals in the world that have the need to force all of society to live in fear and paranoia when it comes to not only international travel, but life. It Is Time To Find A New Years Eve Event

When it comes time to find a New Years Eve event, you have a lot of places you could go, but finding the right one is often difficult. I have been lured in by many great sounding event packages that only left me wishing for something different. It is kind of like the chintzy hotel that offers you luxury and privacy for your honeymoon, only to deliver a ratty room from the seventies complete with shag carpeting and stained bedspreads. A Good Deal On Ski Vacations

My husband and I have always tried to take time off in the summer as well as the winter. We plan our vacations around our children's school schedule. The summer months are generally easier to arrange due to the extended length of time that school is not in session, however the holiday breaks and spring breaks are generally harder to plan for. Several years ago we decided that we would look into ski vacations to take over the holiday break. Our children were ten and twelve years old at the time and they enjoy skiing. My husband found a good deal on two ski vacations. The only problem was that the flight was on Christmas day evening. That year Christmas fell on a Monday so we celebrated with my side of the family on Saturday evening, his side of the family on Sunday and we had our own family Christmas Monday morning prior to heading out to the airport. We bought each of the kids a portable CD player that year so that occupied their time during the flight. Ah, that never-ending question that seems to have no permanent answer. Men want to know how to meet women and make a connection. It's a notion as old as time. I often wonder what guys did way back. Yeah, I'm talking way back in the camel and sandals days. Not the 40s or the 50s. Let's take it all the way back to biblical times. What do you assume men did to impress women back then? If you listen to music, you probably watch music videos as well. These have come a long way, and believe it or not, they were around before MTV. If you grew up with MTV like I did, you began to see these videos has mini movies, they often reflect the feeling of the moment. Films come and go, and they can most certainly reflect life at the time they were filmed, but music videos can do this like nothing else. If you want to know what life was like in a certain year, you just have to watch a video made at that time. When music videos first appeared on MTV, they were most defiantly kooky. They served their purpose, but the art form was far from what it is now. They began to spiral in cost. What it cost to shoot one music video in the late 80s was the equivalent of what some of us make in a year. Some bands or singers put three or four of them out in a year, sometimes more. The world of classical music can be somewhat confusing. There is a vast amount of recordings of works going back many years. If I decide that I want to buy a classical music cd of a favorite composer, I then have to choose which version to get. Most classics are duplicated by different orchestras, conductors or soloists. In general, I am not a chef. In my house, I do very little of the cooking, although I do enjoy it when I get the chance. Every year, I purchase an entertainment book. I try to first find a local student or organization that is selling them to raise money and if I can't find anyone, I'll purchase them from a library or online. Most of the time, more than one organization is selling them. I've never thought that $25.00 is expensive for the huge book of savings, though I've heard some people complain. I suppose that if you tend to not take advantage of the savings that the entertainment books offer, it would not be worth spending the money to purchase one. However, I tend to get more than my $25.00 back in savings over the course of the year. My husband and I are definitely not rich. We're also not poor. When we want to go out to do something, I like to first check in the entertainment book to see if there are any savings. Since entertainment books are usually geared towards your local community, I can always find a restaurant or some form of entertainment that is offering savings. I'm a big fan of nice restaurants. Growing up, my parents were sure to make sure that each and every year consisted of at least 2 family vacations. There were years that we didn't have a lot of money to be taking lavish family vacations, but they always found some way to get all of us together and give us lasting memories. That's what life and quality time is supposed to be about - the memories that will last a lifetime. There were years that they splurged and would fly all of us to Disney or the Bahamas. My parents had purchased a huge, two room tent one year to accommodate their growing children, and it was so much fun for us. The air mattress is in some ways the epitome of our current great nation. It represents comfort and convenience. Ah ha, you've never thought of it that way, have you? If there is one thing our society thrives on, it's getting the most they can from the least effort possible. Now this may sound like an insult, but what can I say. I see how folks are on a day to day basis just like you probably do as well. Most of them want a lot, but don't care to work much for it. I don't personally like this mentality. Regardless, the ever-popular air mattress was born. Or I guess I should say it was invented. I own one, and I would bet that half the world does by now. Like I said, these babies are nifty. One of the great aspects of the contemporary air mattress is that it travels well. When I say this I mean that it's easily tossed into a vehicle. You can deflate the thing in a minute's time, roll it up and stuff it in a compact carrying bag. How cool is that!
