Outdoor Shelters Review. Materials And Types

Tents range in size from one-person "bivouac" structures for a hiker to sleep in to huge tents capable of seating thousands of people. The bulk of this article is concerned with tents used for recreational camping which have sleeping space for one to ten people. Larger tents are discussed in a separate section below.

Tents for recreational camping fall into two categories. Tents intended to be carried by backpackers are the smallest, lightest, and most expensive type. Smaller tents may be sufficiently light that they can be carried for long distances on a touring bicycle, a boat, or even a person's back. Some very specialised tents have spring-loaded poles and can be 'pitched' in seconds, but take somewhat longer to strike.

The second type are larger, heavier tents which are usually carried in a car or other vehicle. Depending on tent size and the experience of the person or people involved, such tents can usually be assembled in between 5 and 25 minutes; disassembly takes a similar length of time. The military organisations of most nations use tents to temporarily house troops living and working under field type conditions. **End Summary** Topics: outdoor equipment tents camping accesorry recreation lighweight tents waterproof tents outdoor clothing
About the Author:
At Barretts you can still find equipment and <a href="http://www.barrettsoutdoor.co.uk/acatalog/Tents.7.Lightweight_Tents.html">Lightweight tent</a> , but now we offer a broad range of products to cater for any outdoor enthusiast.

Self-Catering in Thailand

As you will discover eating is a national pass-time in Thailand hence there is always a roadside stall cooking BBQ Chicken or a Thai Noodles dish or a restaurant nearby, prices in the main compared to European countries are very cheap, a local Thai restaurant you can easily eat for less than £1.00 per head, however a European style meal would be around £4.00. A full English breakfast at Yorkies on the Jomtien beach road just a two minute drive from Viewpoint will cost from £1.50 to £3.50 for a 'Gut-buster' be warned you had better be hungry!

Going back many years, now more than I care to remember, the less well off families and single persons alike used self catering accommodation for the single purpose of saving money, usually this came in the form of a ‘Granny Annexe’ or rooms available in a larger property or the infamous ‘Guest House’. Hotels were strictly reserved for the rich and famous, certainly not me or my family. **End Summary** Topics: thailand villa thai homes thailand trip thailand vacation thai food trip to thailand pattaya thailand
About the Author:
Thailand <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/thai-homes.html">Holiday Homes</a> gives you a great opportunity now to enjoy a fantastic unparalleled <a href="http://www.thailandholidayhomes.co.uk/thailand-vacation.html">Thailand holiday</a> from the luxury and freedom of one of our private Pattaya Villas or Bungalows without the restrictions of a hotel.

Modern Mosaics Art For Your Home

Mosaics history

Mosaics of the 4th century BC are found in the Macedonian palace-city of Aegae, and they enriched the floors of Hellenistic villas, and Roman dwellings from Britain to Dura-Europos. Splendid mosaic floors are found in Roman villas across north Africa. In Rome, Nero and his architects used mosaics to cover the surfaces of walls and ceilings in the Domus Aurea, built AD 64.

The mosaics of the Villa Romana del Casale near Piazza Armerina in Sicily are the largest collection of late Roman mosaics in the world and are protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The large villa rustica, which was probably owned by Emperor Maximian, was largely built in the early 4th century. The mosaics were covered and protected by a landslide in the 12th century for 700 years. The most important pieces are the Circus Scene, the 64 m long Great Hunting Scene, the Little Hunt, the Labours of Hercules and the famous Bikini Girls, showing girls in modern-looking bikinis. The peristyle, the imperial apartements and the thermae were also decorated with ornamental and mythological mosaics. **End Summary** Topics: mosaics wall art football art mosaics art history football wall art
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.footballwallart.com/">Football Wall Art</a> is the place to be when you’re looking for something just that bit different, There has never been a better way to incorporate your football club into your home's decor in a tasteful and personal way.

Recruitment and Staffing Services Online

The recruitment industry

The recruitment industry has four main types of agencies. Their recruiters aim to channel candidates into the hiring organisation’s application process. As a general rule, the agencies are paid by the companies, not the candidates. The industries practice of information asymmetry and recruiters' varying capabilities in assessing candidate quality produces the negative economic impacts described by The Market for Lemons.

Traditional recruitment agency

Also known as a employment agencies, recruitment agencies have historically had a physical location. A candidate visits a local branch for a short interview and an assessment before being taken onto the agency’s books. Recruitment Consultants then endeavour to match their pool of candidates to their clients' open positions. Suitable candidates are with potential employers.

Remuneration for the agency's services usually takes one of two forms:

* A contingency fee paid by the company when a recommended candidate accepts a job with the client company (typically 20%-30% of the candidate’s starting salary), which usually has some form of guarantee, should the candidate fail to perform and is terminated within a set period of time.
* An advance payment that serves as a retainer, also paid by the company. **End Summary** Topics: recruitment employment stuffing services optical recruitment pharmaceutical recruitment
About the Author:
The Inspired Selections Group is a leading provider of staffing solutions with established operations in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The developer is now paying his monthly payments of £800 and on completion a US Dollar mortgage will be arranged locally on the increased value of the property which will allow the client to pay off th home loan in the UK.

The benefits of raising the money using a home loan:

School Fees

“All my wealth is tied up in my property”
With recent consolidations in the re-mortgaging market, it has become more difficult for people to release capital from their property. However, with the right advice, this may not be the only option available for your situation. Often, an innovative plan that takes into account your individual circumstances, earnings and investments as well as taking advantage of all available tax savings would be the best way forward – of course the best way to find out is with some professional impartial advice.
“How can I make the best out of my tax situation and pay the school fees?”
The government is making it increasingly difficult to play the tax system, that said, there are still many perfectly legal ways to optimize your tax allowances – naturally the HMRC doesn’t openly publicize them, but they are there if you know where to look. Tax really deserves it’s own dedicated focus when talking about school fees, as there are many legitimate ways to avoid giving the Chancellor more than his pound of flesh – take professional advice on these options especially if your children have living grandparents. **End Summary** Topics: finance mortgage loans fee school fee Pensions
About the Author:
Advice-Forum - ...

The sunny Caribbean island of Barbados has always had pulling power for Brits, but the hazy, lazy Commonwealth country is about to trade up a notch, with an investment portfolio that will make some lucky people a lot of money. British sailors who landed on Barbados in 1625 arrived at the site of present-day Holetown. At the time it was inhabited only by the feral pigs descended from those left behind by the Portuguese. From the arrival of the first British settlers in 1627 1628 until independence in 1966, Barbados was under uninterrupted British control. Nevertheless, Barbados always enjoyed a large measure of local autonomy. Its House of Assembly began meeting in 1639. Among the initial important British figures was Sir William Courten.

A five-star holiday resort is being developed in a secluded bay, with early bird investors being offered bargain priced apartments and villas for just £1,000 cash down and guaranteed mortgages. By the time the resort is complete the value of the properties is expected to have risen significantly as more tourists flock in and the island begins to cope with the rising demand for upmarket holiday homes. **End Summary** Topics: property sale property development overseas property property barbados caribean property
About the Author:
Premier Overseas Properties are an international property consultancy that offers you <a href="http://www.premieroverseasproperties.com/">overseas investment property</a> and <a href="http://www.premieroverseasproperties.com/asp/Listing.asp?country=Barbados">property sale Barbados

Being Expatriate Live In A Dream Home

During the later half of the 20th century expatriation was dominated by professionals sent by their employers to foreign subsidiaries or headquarters. Starting at the end of the 20th century Globalization created a global market for skilled professionals and leveled the income of skilled professionals relative to cost of living while the income differences of the unskilled remained large. Cost of intercontinental travel had become sufficiently low, such that an employers not finding the skill in a local market could effectively turn to recruitment on a global scale. This has created a different type of expatriate where Commuter and short-term assignments are becoming the norm, and are gradually replacing the traditional long term. Private motivation is becoming more relevant than company assignment. Families might often stay behind when work opportunities amount to months instead of years. The cultural impact of this trend is more significant. Traditional corporate expatriates did not integrate and commonly only associated with the elite of the country they were living in. Modern expatriates form a global middle class with shared work experiences in multi-national corporation and working and living the global financial and economical centers. Integration is incomplete but strong cultural influences are transmitted. **End Summary** Topics: property sale property investment investment property overseas properties living abroad
About the Author:
Premier Overseas Properties are an international property consultancy that offers you <a href="http://www.premieroverseasproperties.com/asp/Listing.asp">property sale Barbados</a> and <a href="http://www.premieroverseasproperties.com/asp/Listing.asp?country=Cyprus%20S">Cyprus investment property</a> .

Promotional Corporate And Business Gifts

A gift is a voluntary act which does not require anything in return. Even though it involves possibly a social expectation of reciprocity, or a return in the form of prestige or power, a gift is meant to be free. A gift or present is the transfer of something, without the need for compensation that is involved in trade.

By extension the term gift can refer to anything that makes the other happier or less sad, especially as a favour, including forgiveness and kindness. When material objects are given as gifts, in many cultures they are traditionally packaged in some manner. For example, in Western culture, gifts are often wrapped in wrapping paper and accompanied by a gift note which may note the occasion, the giftee's name, and the giver's name. In Chinese culture, red wrapping connotes luck.

Kinds of gifts

A gift may be one of

* an ordinary object,
* an object created for the express purpose of gift exchange, such as the armbands and necklaces in the Trobriand Islands' Kula exchange,
* an alternative gift such as a donation to a charity in the name of the recipient. **End Summary** Topics: business gift gifts gift idea corporate gift holiday gift corporate gift accessory
About the Author:
The Business Gift Company Ltd web site.
Things To Consider When Planning Your New Conservatory

Marking out the boundaries to get a feel for the space you need is always a good idea prior to calling in the professionals. Remember to consider the exterior space as well as the interior - solid walls will have a bearing on both. Positioning options may be limited, with most people preferring to build new conservatories to the rear of their properties.

Which way will your conservatory face?
Nothing is more influential than the direction your conservatory faces. South-facing conservatories will receive more direct sunlight so will benefit from the fitting of extra ventilation, blinds and special climate control glass. North-facing conservatories make an excellent space in winter, so consider extra insulated glazing to prevent heat loss. The early morning sun is best enjoyed by East-facing conservatories; ideal for use as breakfast rooms; whereas the evening sky is best appreciated from west-facing rooms which make perfect dining or relaxation areas.
Combined heating / air conditioning units are available which will ensure you can use your conservatory all year round – just like any other room in your home. **End Summary** Topics: conservatories diy conservatories conservatory install conservatory diy conservatory design
About the Author:
Global Windows offers a full service including <a href="http://www.global-windows.co.uk/conservatories.aspx">Conservatories Rotherham</a> design, <a href="http://www.global-windows.co.uk/windows.aspx">Double Glazing Rotherham</a> and information on planning permission approval if required.

Unsecured Loans or Personal Loans are loans that are not secured on anything and are assessed purely on your income and track record of making payments. They are very quick to arrange however are only available up to £25,000 over a short period, usually a maximum of 5-10 years, because the lender has no security for offering the loan the rates are often higher than a secured loan, however there are very competitive deals out there and it is always best to see what deals your own bank can offer you first.

One popular type of secured loan that is normally only available at a bank or credit union is the savings secured loan. In this type of loan, the borrower must have a savings account with the creditor. A portion of the money in this account is used as collateral to secure a loan equal to the amount pledged. This money is then frozen in the account but continues to earn interest. As the loan is repaid the secured portion of the savings account is freed. This has advantages for both the creditor and the borrower. **End Summary** Topics: personal loan home loan secured loan unsecured loan loans quick cash personal finance
About the Author:
Searchandapply UK has been created as a one stop portal for ...

Authentic French Furniture For Your Home

In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, French furniture of the classic period 1660-1815, has been collected as passionately by non-French amateurs, with the English in the historical lead, and has set record prices consistently, since the Hamilton Palace sale of 1882. In the metropolitan culture of France, French furniture connotes Parisian furniture; furniture made in provincial centers such as Blois and Orléans in the Loire valley, and at Lyon or Liège (never part of France politically but within its cultural orbit), followed at some distance the design innovations that were initiated in the luxury trades of Paris, often with a time lag that could amount to decades; its history is told separately: French provincial furniture. In Paris, an unbroken tradition of apprenticeship, already fully-formed when the design center for luxury furnishings shifted from Antwerp to Paris in the 1630s, was slowly disrupted by the Industrial Revolution after the mid-nineteenth century. Perhaps the last of the Parisian ébénistes working from a traditional atelier was Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann (1879-1933).

In Paris, the furniture trade was divided among craft guilds with jealous regard for infringements. **End Summary** Topics: furniture french furniture french style furniture french beds french interior french kitchen french furniture store
About the Author:
Juliette’s Interiors Limited sells <a href="http://www.juliettesinteriors.co.uk/furniture/pet-furniture/">French dog bed </a> and unique <a href="http://www.juliettesinteriors.co.uk/mirrors-and-looking-glasses/">replica french mirrors </a> and mirrors from its internet site all over the world.

Art Canvas Prints Giclee

The intent of that name was to distinguish commonly known industrial "Iris proofs" from the type of fine art prints artists were producing on those same types of printers. The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on Iris printers in a process invented in the early 1990s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such prints.

Usage

Beside its association with Iris prints, in the past few years, the word “giclée,” as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant "archival" inks (including solvent inks) and the inkjet printers that use them. These printers use the CMYK color process but may have multiple cartridges for variations of each color based on the CcMmYK color model (e.g. light magenta and light cyan inks in addition to regular magenta and cyan) which serves to increase the apparent resolution and color gamut and allows smoother gradient transitions. The most common printers used are models from manufacturers such as Canon, Eastman Kodak, Epson, Hewlett-Packard, ITNH Ixia, Mimaki, Mutoh, ColorSpan, and Roland DGA. **End Summary** Topics: canvas art canvas prints photo canvas modern art digital art digital prints
About the Author:
Canvas Republic is original manufacturers and innovators of <a href="http://www.canvasrepublic.co.uk">cheap canvas </a> and contemporary <a href="http://www.canvasrepublic.co.uk/canvas_prints-photo_on_canvas_art.htm">photo to canvas </a> in the UK, Canvas Republic have several years experience in honing an exclusive range of high quality, stylish canvas prints.

Unsecured

Unsecured loans are monetary loans that are not secured against the borrowers assets. These may be available from financial institutions under many different guises or marketing packages:

* credit card debt
* personal loans
* bank overdrafts
* credit facilities or lines of credit
* corporate bonds

The interest rates applicable to these different forms may vary depending on the lender and the borrower. These may or may not be regulated by law. In the United Kingdom, when applied to individuals, these may come under the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Contemporary And Modern Art

Contemporary art

Contemporary art can be defined variously as art produced at this present point in time or art produced since World War II. The definition of the word contemporary would support the first view, but museums of contemporary art commonly define their collections as consisting of art produced since World War II.

Contemporary art is exhibited by commercial contemporary art galleries, private collectors, corporations, publicly funded arts organizations, contemporary art museums or by artists themselves in artist-run spaces. Contemporary artists are supported by grants, awards and prizes as well as by direct sales of their work.

There are close relationships between publicly funded contemporary art organisations and the commercial sector. For instance, in Britain a handful of dealers represent the artists featured in leading publicly funded contemporary art museums.

Contemporary art can sometimes seem at odds with a public that does not feel that art and its institutions share its values.In Britain in the 1990s contemporary art became a part of popular culture, with artists becoming stars, but this did not lead to a hoped for "cultural utopia". **End Summary** Topics: modern art art contemporary art abstract art art gallery
About the Author:
Yourwhitespace is a family business with a desire to provide high quality, original art and to make it accessible to people from all walks of life.
Own Oil Painting Masterpiece.Portraits From Photos

A well executed portrait is expected to show the inner essence of the subject (from the artist's point of view, of course) not just a physical likeness.

The term 'portrait painting' can also describe a painted portrait. Portraitists create their portraits by commission or are inspired by admiration or affection for the subject. If an artist portrayes him- or herself, the result is called a self-portrait.

Portraits can depict the subject 'full body', 'half length' or 'head and shoulders'. Beside human beings, animals, pets and even inanimate objects can be chosen as the subject for a portrait.

Oil painting is the process of painting with pigments that are bound with a medium of drying oil — especially in early modern Europe, linseed oil. Often an oil such as linseed was boiled with a resin such as pine resin or even frankincense; these were called 'varnishes' and were prized for their body and gloss. Other oils occasionally used include poppyseed oil, walnut oil, and safflower oil. These oils confer various properties to the oil paint, such as less yellowing or different drying times. Certain differences are also visible in the sheen of the paints depending on the oil. **End Summary** Topics: Custom portraits Oil portraits photo to canvas Photos to paintings Portrait paintings
About the Author:
Majestic Paintings specialise in creating the most exceptional quality custom <a href="http://www.majestic-paintings.com">Picture to portrait</a> , from any photo or picture you supply us.
