Hair Straightener For Thick Straight Hair

I've been reading around the forums on hair straighteners and doing some really heavy research on some popular brand hair straighteners.

For the people with thick, straight, shoulder-length hair, this type of hair would easily be hurted during the straightening. They would become really frizzy and coarse. Then the hair is a little difficult to straighten, and always have to use high heat.

I've read the reviews on some cheapo hair straighteners (Conair, Remington, Hot Tools) and even some not-so-cheap ones (Chi, Corioliss, Wigo, HAI). The Chi worked OK for the hair, but it wasn't as amazing as people claimed it to be: it totally dried out the hair, and didn't even get or keep it that straight. The Conair ones worked better than that! Besides the point, it always broke within 7 months because of the cord (which I've heard is a very common issue).

I've also narrowed it down to either the Solia or Sedu hair straightener to purchase. They both seem to have their pros & cons, especially after I've read thousands of reviews on the web. **End Summary** Topics: hair straightening hair straighteners hair straightener
About the Author:
We offer the best hair straighteners reviews and source at www.hairstraightening.net, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the right hair straightener for you and your hair.
Curling Iron Advice

Recently I've been thinking some advice for hair curlers, since my friend Kelly wants to create very soft curls at the bottom of her hair, similar to Jessica Simpson or Lindsay Lohan do their hair (her hair almost down to her tail-bone). She told me that she went to the hair salon before and the hairstylist said a 2 inch barrel wouldn't hold a curl in her hair, but she wants medium to large soft curls, not small ringlets.

She asked me that could this styles be achieved with curlers instead of a curling iron and what the size of the barrel should her goes with?

It depends on how straight the hair is and how well it holds curl. The curly hairstyle of Jessica Simpson or Lindsayin Lohan are layered, so if hers isn't, it will look a little different but still beautiful. For example, my sister's hair is straight as a board.

I like using sponge rollers on her hair(it doesn't hold heat curling much at all unless I use a ton of hairspray). I put them in while her hair is damp and she sleeps on them and I take them out the next morning. **End Summary** Topics: curling irons hair curlers curly hairstyle curly hair
About the Author:
We offer the best hair curlers and curling irons source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best curly hairstyle for you and your hair.
Mineral Makeup Tips

Do you use any mineral makeup? What brand do you like the best and why? OK, let's talking mainly about the foundation powders.

Mary Kay loose powder. Ive been used it. It supposed to be better for the skin. (I have very sensitive skin.) When I put it on, my face started itching a little, but it went away after 5 minutes or so. It's possibly because of the brush I used Or the minerals. Also, my face felt stiff, like it was too dry.

Burts Bees Concealer. Its ingredients are castor oil, sunflower oil, beeswax, vitamin E, candelila wax, cucumber extract, rosemary extract, and minerals for the color. It is a cream. You could dot it where you need it.

Everyday Minerals. It covers great and last almost the whole day and not itch at all. The BE would cause to itch a little, only for like 15 seconds. The everyday minerals don't itch at all. They do not have talc. **End Summary** Topics: makeup cosmetic make up tools cosmetic tools beauty tool
About the Author:
We offer the makeup tools source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best one for you and your hair.

Here are some useful hair tips to nurse your hair in daily life. All of them were collected by myself, I want to share it with everybody and hope it could gives help to you.

To help maintain healthy hair: Get a good nights sleep and eat a balanced diet.

Backcombing: Work in small sections, holding the hair ends at a 90 degree angle to the head. Run comb through hair from ends to root in smooth, gentle strokes for maximum effect;

Fine tooth rattail: Precise teasing or backcombing;

Dip pik: Great detangler for wet hair;

Create curls on a flat iron: Place the hair section between the plates as normal. with the plates closed, rotate the iron 2 complete revolutions and then slide to the end of the hair section as normal;

Add volume on a flat iron: Flips or curves hold hair between plates and wrap around outside of top plate;

Straightening with comb: Helps guide hair and eliminates tangles for smoother and faster straightening. comb your hair under the flat iron while straightening to prevent fuzz;

Create an alluring up do: After removing the iron from the hair, re-roll each curl and pin up randomly. **End Summary** Topics: hair dryer hair dryers hairdryer hair care tips
About the Author:
We offer the best hair dryers source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair dryer for you and your hair.
Hair Straightening for Thick Curly Frizzy Hair

My friend Monica with a quite thick, curly hair (and a little frizzy), she was bored with her curly hair.

She was going to get a hair straightener, but have no idea which ones are the best.

She asked to me "I was thinking about GHD hair straighteners? But I have heard a lot about Chi and Hai and others. What are your views on the best hair straightener? I want an amazing one that doesn't damage my hair, and leaves my hair super straight all day. Also they have to last long, with a good guarantee. I am willing to pay any price! What are your thoughts?"

Well, from her words I could get these information:
1.She was puzzled with which is the best hair straightener brand.
2.She wants the one which could not damage her hair, and leave her hair super straight all day.
3.Long and good guarantee.
4.She doesn't care the price! :)

Here is my suggestion: The best for her is Sedu Hair Straightener, it has great reviews because it performs great. It has nothing to do with Folica owning it. **End Summary** Topics: Hair straightener Hair straighteners Hair straightening h
About the Author:
We offer the best hair straighteners reviews and source, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair straightener for you and your hair.
Choose the Right Hairbrush for Your Hairstyle

While most women no longer spend the time to brush their hair 100 times before they go to bed, brushing your hair is still an important way to keep your hair healthy and shiny.

Choosing the right brush is very important depending on your hair type, read on to find out what brush is best for your hair:

Round hair brush: Round hair brushes are generally used to give a curl and definition to hairstyles. The basic rule is that the smaller the round of the brush the tighter the curl. For shorter hair, use a smaller brush and curl strategic pieces of your hair. For longer hair, round hair brushes can be used for curling the ends, or just straightening hair. A larger round brush is best for longer hair.

Half-round hair brush: Usually with quills, this brush is great for wet or dry hair, and is easy to carry around as your everyday brush.

Paddle hair brush: Great for straightening medium to long hair, a paddle brush smooths as it lengthens. As opposed to the round hair brush, this style encourages hair to lie flat and is better for hair which is not layered too much. **End Summary** Topics: beauty tools cosmetic tools hair brush hairbrush hair ca
About the Author:
We offer the hair brush, hair straightener source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best one for you and your hair.
Hunt for the Best Hair Dryer

Drying the hair is serious business for highly textured haired people. If done improperly, it can have devastating results. In addition to bad technique, a hair dryer that simply blows hot hair will do far more than just dry the hair; it will dry it out. Dried out hair lacks luster. Dried out hair feels rough to the touch. Worst of all, dried out hair can lead to breakage.

Over that last few weeks, I've tested five popular hair dryers. They range in price from $40 - $300. In this article I will only mention the top two, as the others aren't worth mentioning.

These are the hair dryers that I found worth sharing my findings:

CHI Turbo w/Cold Shot Hair Dryer

CHI hair dryer is the lightest in weight of all the dryers tested. It is also the quietest. This hair dryer uses ceramic heat which seals the cuticle (shinier hair) and repels humidity. The ionic technology in the dryer emits millions of tiny beads of negative ions that will break the water on the hair instead of boiliing the water away. The use of ionic technology cuts the time needed to dry the hair down considerably. **End Summary** Topics: best hairdryers hair dryers chi hair dryer babyliss hair
About the Author:
We offer the best hair dryers source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair dryer for you and your hair.
How to update your ponytail

Tying up your hair is often a way to deal with a style that goes flat or just plain wrong, but it doesn’t always have to be that way! Ponytails have reached dive level when updated to enhance any look. No matter your length of hair, there is a type of ponytail that you can try to shake up your daily routine.

Long hair:
If you have straight or wavy hair, one way to update the basic ponytail is to add some sexy waves. Use a light mousse or gel all over you hair and curl a few face framing pieces. Tie your hair in low pony tail, then take small half inch sections and use the curling iron to create slight waves in your mane.

Still on the same wavelength as the wavy low ponytail, the messy bun, is another variation on the same theme. The trick about the messy bun is to make sure that it blends well with the rest of your head. Make sure that you don’t have a bump just sticking out of your head, and use pins in strategic locations. **End Summary** Topics: haircut ideas hair cut idea trendy hair cut celebrity hai
About the Author:
Do you want know more tips about hairstyle or haircut ideas ?
The BKT Hair Straightening at Home

BKT is a much better and new way to smooth and straighten hair. It's a very new process in hair styling and makes the hair shiny, soft, less frizzy and much easier to blow dry. Thick, frizzy, wavy, and dyed hair are the most perfect candidate for BKT Hair Straightening; Processed and damaged hair can gets a better result also; Curly hair should be straightened before the treatment. But thin hair is not recommended.

The BKT Hair Straightening Treatment at home usually takes about 2.5-4 hours and is absolutely easy to do. The tools needed: a hair straightener with 400-450 degree, 2 heat gloves on left hand, 2 good brushes---one for straightening and one for hair dying.

You can buy everything in a kit, but I saved money buying separately. I only used 1/2 oz. of pre-shampoo, so instead of $78 for 32 oz. of pre-shampoo, I bought 4 oz. for $15, 32 oz. of solution is enough for 10 treatments and costs $262. Or you can buy 4 oz. of solution and 4 oz. of pre-shampoo for $45. They will send you a DVD or instructions if you ask them to. **End Summary** Topics: bkt hair straightening hair straightening hair straighteni
About the Author:
We offer the best hair straighteners reviews and source, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair straightener for you and your hair.
Some Special Use for Hair Dryer

Use for Hair Straightening/Flat Ironing

It's very easy to straighten your hair with a normal hair dryer, just follow the next steps:

1. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner as usual before the process. Using a straightening shampoo is good for the process, but it's not required. Then dry your hair by a towel or air drying.

2. Apply some type of straightening balm (or similar product). Just like pantene's smooth and sleek line. Run it through all of your hair, and brush it.

3. Section your hair into 3 or 4 parts (Depend on your own hair type: section 4 parts if your hair is thick, and section 3 parts if your hair is thin).

4. Using a big round-brush, start with one of the sections and brush through it while blow drying that section of hair at the same time. Make sure you point the air down towards your hair and not up, or it will be frizzy.

5. Repeat this process until you've covered all sections, and that's it! **End Summary** Topics: hair dryer hair dryer usage
About the Author:
Hair dryer is a basic and wide use styling tool.
Take Care of Your Hair when Using a CHI Flat Iron

You can get a beautiful straight after hair straightening by using a CHI flat iron. No matter after showering or out of bed, it always straight, and without any styling. But sometimes, unfortunately, the ends of hair come out frizzy and curly after the process (even follow the instructions step by step).

It sounds like that the hair was damaged, because your hair should not be processed over and over again.

Once the hair is damaged, it hard to be repaired. You can only buffer the damage with protein treatments and deep conditioning. So you should at least make sure your hair looks good, until you cut off the damage parts. It may takes a really long time, depending on your hair length and the degree of the damage.

If the process was to be repeated, it can only be done on the new growth, never on the hair that has already been processed. That means you would need to wait about 4 months for new growth to come in. During the time, you need to take a good protein treatments and conditioning for your hair. Not the cheap ones. They are in fact different. **End Summary** Topics: chi flat iron flat iron chi flat iron reviews
About the Author:
CHI flat iron is one of the most popular flat irons.
GHD Hair Straightening

GHD hair straightener is a surprising small styling tool! It is usually made out of black plastic, with two ceramic plates stuck to it. There’s an on/off button on the inside, but it's safe because it gets extremely hot fast and there is not any heat transference on to the handles. The hair straightener is nice to handle with a smooth, but not slippery, you don’t need to get your hands anywhere near the ceramic plates to get the leverage to push the two sides together.

Let’s get a straight hair by using GHD hair straightener. Wash your hair first and make sure that your hair is absolutely dried before you start. If your hair is very thick, put a tiny bit of moisture left on one part of your hair. Once you’ve dried your hair, plug in the straightener and switch it on. The red LED comes on to tell you that they’re heating up, during this time give your hair a few spritzes of the GHD hair straightener Oil. The direction recommend that you spritz a bit at the time as you’re ready to do the straightening process. **End Summary** Topics: ghd hair straightening ghd hair straightener hair straight
About the Author:
We offer the best hair straighteners reviews and source, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair straightener for you and your hair.
Imporve the Breakage from Hair Straightening

The hair breakage and bent hair from the straightening system are hard to improve. Here are some recommend suggestions that would help you hair. But at first you ask should ask yourself these questions: when did you get your TR? What system was it? When did you notice the bends - do you know what the stylist did wrong? Have you seen breakage? Just curious about what you've been going through.

The recommendations are:

1. Make sure you get some protein treatments. Products such as Redken's Deep Fuel, Rene Furterer's Okara Hair repair treatment mask, or Frederic Fekkai's protein RX Hair Mask are some good products. Some are used different than others. PPT Id Care should only be used once every 3-4 weeks for damaged hair. I believe others you can use more regularly. If your stylist will do complimentary deep-conditioning treatments on your hair (complimentary of course since they botched your hair), I would highly recommend doing them about once a month.

2. You need deep moisturizing shampoo & conditioners. I regularly use Redken Allsoft Shampoo & Conditioner or Yuko Phiten Bella Shampoo & Treatment. There are other good brands out there.

3. Jojoba oil!!!!!! **End Summary** Topics: hair straightening tips hair straightening hair breakage
About the Author:
We offer the most popular source and reviews of hair straightener , curling iron, hair dryer and other cosmetic tools, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best one for you and your hair.
Extenso Straightening Tips

Extenso will completely straighten the hair, it relaxes the curl and makes it easier to flat iron or blow out. Extenso is perfect for super curly fine hair that hasn't been straightened before because it leaves enough of the natural lift to the hair that you don't feel bald or look like you have no hair.

Here are some experience with Extenso:

1. It does a great job with straightening your hair. The day that you wash your hair it is a bit volumized, but the next day it is perfect. Therefore, if you want smooth straight hair for some part or something then wash it the day before.
2. The L'oreal website said that your would come back after 8-12 weeks. But at least as some user's experience, the curls was not came back except for the part of new hair of course.
3. And another thing is very surprisingly to me. Everybody there likes very much curls. Most of the girls wants to have them to. And when I went to salons for cutting my hair, those women loved to work with my hair with great results too. **End Summary** Topics: hair straightening tips hair straightening extenso straigh
About the Author:
If you want to know more about hair straightening tips and straight hair solutions, please visit hairstraightening.net.
Straightening Frizzy Messy Curls

You could choose wisely to make the frizzy messy curls to look nice straight, like gels, leave in conditioners, hot oil treatments and any other hair tools. But this is not means that they would be effective in any situation. Be very very careful!

For example, if you have straightened your hair with Rusk, don't use Phyto-specific until your hair grow out and be cut off. Or you would end up with hair loss and even no hair at all. Although the relaxer is a real good one, you should have to be careful with it.

Also don't use hair straightener and hair relaxer on your hair in the same day, because the hair regular relaxers are not designed for this use. If you do this, you would damage your hair. The only system designed to be used with a hair straightener is Thermal Reconditioning. But it's expensive:(.

When you blow dry the hair, you must pull the hair with a round brush, and keep rolling the brush while you drying. Or you will end up with a frizzy mess hair. **End Summary** Topics: hair straightening straightening tips straighten curls fr
About the Author:
We offer the best hair straighteners reviews and source, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair straightener for you and your hair.

How to actually curl/wave thick straight hair by using gel or mousse without involve using curling irons?
I hope this step by step tip could be useful for you:

1. Shampoo hair w/product for hair type, texture & condition
2. Rinse & apply rinse out conditioner for hair type, texture & condition.
3. Finish w/ cool/cold rinse.
4. Towel blot to remove excess moisture.
5. Separate hair into 1-2 inch sections.
6. Apply mousse or gel to each section and then blow dry using round brush to help give hair bend and direct air flow DOWN the hair shaft from roots to the the ends.
7. When each section is 80% dry, use fingers to roll the section into a big barrel curl or ringlet shape. Pin the curl to your scalp.

Work with Your Curls

People with curly hair usually has many problems: dry, damaged, frizzy and uncontrollable curls. The weather dictate your hairstyle easily and even your mood. You should have to spend an amount of time on take caring and styling your hair. How to say goodbye to the frizz, split ends and other problems? The key is work with your curly hair instead of against.

The first thing that I learned that help me do this is that, it doesn't always have to do with product (although it helps), it's how you handle your hair.

1. Get a curl revitaliser, it's a conditioner you use after conditioning and it's a godsend!

2. Gently squeeze out all excess water before you start the conditioning, this makes your hair fell softer after.

3. Never, ever brush your hair when it's wet! If your hair gets really tangled, brush before you go in the shower.

4. Wash your hair every 2 or 3 of days.

5. Before you turn off the water to get out of the shower, flip your head up side down a couple of times to separate the curls and then run water over them. **End Summary** Topics: curly hair care curly hair tips
About the Author:
We offer the best hair curlers and curling irons source and reviews, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best curly hairstyle for you and your hair.
True Ceramic Pro VS. Maxiglide

Does the True Ceramic Pro hair straightener or the Maxiglide hair straightener work on relaxed hair? I would like to try both but most of the hair straightener irons I've tried leave my hair dry unless I have recently had my hair relaxed. Is there any one out there who has this problem?

I hope this would be helpful for you:

True Ceramic Pro Hair Straightener

The True Ceramic Pro hair straightener(TCP) works very well for straight and generally humidity resistant hair, it is very light and easy to use. The cord is nice and long so it gives you plenty of working space. It heats up in no time and you can get whether hot or cool by the color changing plates. The TCP not only functions as a flat iron but it works very, very well as a curling iron once you get the hang of it.

When you first get TCP, do not heat on your hair with high degrees, or your will find a tons of damage. Your hair would go from beautiful, thick and even all the way through to uneven and very thin at the ends. **End Summary** Topics: hair straightener hair straightener tips True Ceramic Pro
About the Author:
We offer the best hair straighteners reviews and source, please check the products and read the reviews, then choose the best hair straightener for you and your hair.
Breakage from Hair Straightening

Hair breakage is a common problem with products using ammonium thioglycolate, such as the hair perm, hair relaxer, styling gel and tool products.

Relaxers are not supposed to be applied directly to the scalp. Many safety warnings even say this, but it is often ignored by consumers as nonsense. Most of the time, people will use a creme relaxer and breakage isn't a very big problem for the majority of people (it's a risk a lot of people take, and often they get away with it!). However, ammonium thioglycolate is not a creme relaxer; it is completely different from lye and no-lye relaxers. The risk of breakage is greater.

Ammonium Thioglycolate can make your hair stiff once you neutralize it. Because of this, it should not be applied directly to the scalp, and especially not directly to the part line. You or the stylist may be inclined to do this, but don't do it, this never goes well. If it does get on the scalp, it will straighten all the way to the scalp. This sounds like a good idea at first. **End Summary** Topics: hair straightening hair breakage hair care hair straighte
About the Author:
If you want to know more about hair straightening tips and straight hair solutions, please visit hairstraightening.net.
