Whichever size cooker you decide upon in the Britannia E Line range, you will have a choice of colours- stainless steel or glossy black, both of which will easily fit into the surroundings of a modern kitchen.

The Britannia E Line range provides the consumer with two ovens, which is great for large families and for entertaining guests. Both ovens feature integral electric grills and double- glazed see- through doors and internal oven lights so you can easily see how well that roast is coming along without even having to open the oven door.

Whether you go for the 90cm size cooker in the Britannia E Line range or the 100cm, the oven to the left will be 60cm in width. This nine function electric oven includes the very clever Quickstart fast preheat system so that you can get on with preparing and cooking your meal without having to wait twenty minutes for the oven to heat up.

The left oven also comes with a fully automatic programmer and minute minder, so no more ruined meals. **End Summary** Topics: Britannia Range Cookers Cookers E-line 90cm 100cm Ovens
About the Author:
Mr Heneffe has worked in the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/">Kitchen Appliances</a> industry for over 10 years.
Hotpoint - Story of the UK’s Best Selling Kitchen Appliances

The Hotpoint Electric Heating Company was formed in 1911 and now Hotpoint is a household name for kitchen appliances such as dishwashers, fridge freezers and washing machines.

In 1920 Hotpoint and GElectric of the United States established the Hotpoint Electric Appliance Company Limited to market branded goods in the UK. In 1929, Hotpoint became a part of GEC group. Hotpoint was a brand of GEC and in 1989 merged into a new division named General Domestic Appliances. GE then purchased a 50% share, and in 1998 was to become GDA Applied Energy.
Hotpoint is now part owned by Merloni, founded by Aristide Merloni as Industrie Merloni in 1930. The company didn’t originally produce appliances but soon created a range of appliances branded Ariston.

In 1985, Merloni bought Indesit, they were competitors in Italy at the time, but Merloni did not have the european presence that Indesit had gained. Back in 2005 Merloni was renamed Indesit Company, as Indesit was the most recognisable brand under their control.

Indesit Company had a 14% slice of the white goods market in 2007. This comprises of appliances like washers, dryers, refrigeration, dishwashers and built in products too. **End Summary** Topics: hotpoint indesit appliances kitchen appliances integrated built-in washing machines fridge freezers dishwashers hobs ovens cookers
About the Author:
Braeg Heneffe has been involved in the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/">Kitchen Appliances</a> market for over a decade.
Smeg appliances - a famous Italian brand

Smeg is a brand we have come to accept in the UK over the last 3 decades, but its history goes back much further than that. In fact Smeg is one of the oldest brands available on the market today, and stays true to its Italian roots.

The reason most of us know Smeg is because of its long standing range of multi-coloured American 50’s style fridge freezers. Smeg fridges have accounted for the majority of sales for them over the last 30 years around Europe and beyond.

In 1948, Vittoria Bertazzoni founded Smeg. The company was then, and still is now based near the town of Guastalla, in the Reggio Emilia region of Italy. The letters of the word Smeg stand for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla metal enamelling factory in Guastalla, Reggio Emilia, and from conception the Smeg fridges became an instant hit. The design was even considered fashionable in Italy, which is obviously renowned for style and design flair.

Smeg is still under the control of the Bertazzoni family, and the company is currently run by Roberto Bertazzoni. **End Summary** Topics: kitchen appliances smeg cookers range ovens fridge fridge freezers hobs piano uk 50's style american
About the Author:
Mr Heneffe has been a retailer of Smeg for over 10 yeras.
Fagor appliances review

Fagor is part of the Mondragon Co-operative Coorperation, which itself is one of the leading corporations in Spain and one of the largest co-ops in the world. The company owns other manufacturers of appliances such as De-Dietrich. 20 million homes across Europe have an appliance produced by this group of companies. In terms of workforce, Fagor is part of a setup that employs over 6000 people in total. These sort of figures show that although the brand is little known in the UK, the back up and resources are certainly in place to give the product every chance in this market. We are all sceptical when it comes to new makes and models, but especially when we are faced with a new brand that we have never heard of before. What will the neighbours think!? Here we see the basics and background of Fagor appliances.

The product line up that was introduced to the GB market five years ago, features every modern category of integrated and built in appliance.

The areas of strength which really stand are the laundry models, which Fagor manufacture themselves. The integrated washing machine and washer dryer offer 6kg loads, and 1100 or 1400 spin options. **End Summary** Topics: fagor appliances integrated built in kitchen appliances UK fagor washing machines washer dryers ovens cookers fridge freezers
About the Author:
Mr Heneffe has worked in the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/">Kitchen Appliances</a> market for over 10 years.
Gas hob buying guide

Gas hobs have always been popular as they give more control and quicker heating than electric hobs. It is rare you find a modern chef cooking on anything other than gas as they offer an instant change in temperature.

A good kitchen layout will help hob safety, and this should be considered before placing the hob in your kitchen design. You should be able to transfer a pan from hob to sink without going through any obsticles or crossing people.

Try to allow room to place the hob down either side of where it is installed, as this gives the chance to take the pan off the hob in complete safety, rather than having to pull backwards to find space. Dont place the sink to close to the hob - hot fat reacts badly with every liquid such as water and juice. Also refrain from having the Hob near a window incase you need to open it.

Choose from a vast array of gas hobs from the leading manufacturers of appliances. We are spoilt for choice compared to a decade ago, with new shapes and designs as well as sizes and colours. **End Summary** Topics: gas hob hobs kitchen pan stands burners 60cm 70cm wok smeg neff aeg bosch whirlpool hotpoint indesit zanussi baumatic cda electrolux de-dietrich
About the Author:
Mr Heneffe has worked in the kitchen appliances industry for over 10 years and specialises in gas hobs. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/hobs">Hobs</a> . <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/gas_hobs">Gas Hobs</a> . <a target="_blank" href="http://www.comparebase.com/">Compare</a> .

Built-in Ovens explained

Single or double cavity built-in ovens are available to build into or under kitchen units. The choice is between built-in to a cabinet at a higher level or built-under which means underneath the work surface. Double cavity ovens can have either 2 main fan ovens, or one main oven and a seperate cavity for grilling only. Make sure you check this when doing your research.

After this the main decision is whether to have a single or double oven. Some double built in ovens have only one real oven, the second being a cavity with a grill. Here is some more information on features of built in ovens:

Conventional ovens can be gas or electric. In a conventional gas oven, the heat comes from the gas burner at the rear bottom of the oven. In a conventional electric oven, the heat comes from elements under the base and at the top of the oven. In a conventional oven, heat rises to give a hotter temperature towards the top of the oven, and a slightly cooler temperature towards the bottom of the oven. **End Summary** Topics: Ovens built-in single double under Counter in Column electric kitchen Appliances gas fan neff aeg
About the Author:
Mr Heneffe has experience of built-in ovens for over 10 years. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/Built_in_Ovens_buying_guide">Oven Guide</a> . <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/built_in_ovens">Built-in Ovens</a> . <a target="_blank" href="http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/products_search.php?search_string=Oven">Oven</a>

Review of Britannia Range Cookers, Excelling in a Difficult Market

There is no doubt that recent times have seen families tighten their purse strings when it comes to luxury items, and many manufacturers have struggled to maintain sales in this sector. One brand in the UK however, has seen sales grow 12% year on year despite the high ticket price for their top-end range cooking products.

Britannia Living, based in Blackpool, Lancashire, have been the leading range cooker specialist in the UK for over a decade. They offer a selection of contemporary, modern, traditional and classic cookers, and matching cooker hoods and splashbacks.

The range topping models from Britannia are the Sigma and the newer XG cookers. The Sigma is available in a choice of cream, gloss black or stainless steel. This model is a more modern style and should match any kitchen but for the more traditional.

It comes with flame failure devices for safety, meaning that the gas will cut out if the flame is blown out for any reason. The triple glazed doors means that the ovens can be touched even when cooking at high temperatures. Other feature include an electronic programmer, a storage drawer and both ovens are A rated for efficiency. **End Summary** Topics: Britannia Range Cooker Cookers Kitchen Appliances Cooker Hoods Splashback Hob Ovens Grill
About the Author:
Mr Braeg Heneffe has worked in the kitchen appliances industry for over 10 years and has an expert knowledge of Britannia range cookers.

Weee Directive for Kitchen Appliances

The Distributor Take Back Scheme Customer and Compliance Statement

Recycling household electrical equipment With effect from July 2007, the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all producers of electrical equipment are now obliged to pay for recycling of household electrical goods, where previously this bill was met by councils or items were not recycled at all.

These regulations also require that all retailers both actively assist in delivering a UK wide WEEE collection infrastructure and encourage the participation of consumers in recycling electronic equipment. So that you can get your waste electrical goods recycled, we have contributed towards a national fund to assist local councils to further develop their existing waste electronics collection facilities, which will in turn allow producers of this equipment to meet their obligations Not all council sites are suitable to collect all types of waste electrical goods but to find out your nearest participating site (including other collection facilities that may not be operated by the council) and for advice on all aspects of recycling at home, please visit your local council website. **End Summary** Topics: Kitchen Appliances discount integrated built In buy electric gas cheap weee trade
About the Author:
Mr Havant has worked in the kitchen appliance industry for over 10 years, as a
