Great Consumer Spending Trends

Although the news stock market reports give you the scoop on consumer spending trends every time the report comes out, how many of us paid more than a passing yawn to these tidbits in the past? Just a consolidation of statistics that didn't mean much to the average viewer. Now, we don't need to look further than our own household budget to find out. It's up close and personal these days.Have you taken a closer look, with a bit of a jaded eye, at consumer advertising on TV? The pharmaceutical companies are heavy advertisers, obviously targeting consumers with various health problems, as well as the physicians that prescribe them. Other products aimed at the ordinary consumer, advertise tooth whiteners, air fresheners and sophisticated toothbrushes. The person demonstrating the product always lives in affluent, even palatial environments that most people can't afford. Who can afford to even buy the medicines, much less the frivolous, unnecessary items? This difference between TV land and reality becomes more striking by the day.One of the most showcased of consumer spending trends is in the grocery store. Everyone is looking to save wherever possible. **End Summary** Topics: consumer spending spending consumers spending online Business business;finance
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving business and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

How to Move Properly

There used to be two options when you wanted to move from home to home, or even from business to business location. While these are still the most common options, the way we go about them has changed, at least in some areas of the country. You either moved your stuff on your own using a rental truck, or you had movers do the same for you. Today, if available in your area, you can use container movers to get your stuff where you want it to go. It works for storage as well.Renting a truck and moving your own things is often the most economical choice when moving anything, it is also the most labor intensive on your part. You also have to worry about driving something that you may not feel comfortable with. You can have movers come in, but you may worry about how they take care of your stuff. Though you will have to rely on yourself or your movers to move your things, you dont have to worry as much about driving a truck on your own when you use container movers. **End Summary** Topics: container storage home home moving moving advice moving how to move advice home;improvement Home Improvement
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving storage and psychic advice on his horoscope website weekly.

Clean Air Purifier

A good clean air purifier can really make a big difference in your health, particularly if you suffer from allergies or chronic illnesses. In a typical, modern city, there are thousands of different types of particles floating around in the air, and any one of them can be contributing to health problems. I used to get sinus infections all the time, and I mistakenly thought there was no way to avoid it. I would get especially bad ones in September, when the weather started to change. I tried all kinds of things. I was put on antibiotics, steroid nasal sprays, and many other treatments. The thing that finally took care of them, however, was a simple clean air filter. This did not make a lot of sense to me, because my sinus infections really were infections. Why would a clean air purifier which only filters out allergens cure a sinus infection? The way my doctor explained it was that allergens irritate the sinus passages, making it harder for them to drain. The infection could not clear out because my sinus passages were always somewhat swollen up from all the allergens I was breathing in. **End Summary** Topics: clean air clean air purifier purification purify purity purity giving new purity home;accessory home;improvement Home Improvement
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving clean air and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

Unique Chrisitan Comics

One of the most difficult areas of debate and controversy in my church is Christian entertainment. We are a very conservative church and, although all of us are saved, not all of us have the same view about what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate entertainment values. Take Christian the comics debate. My son has been reading Marvel comics for the past year or two, and I didn't really see anything wrong with them after casually perusing them. The ones he was reading have a very clear view of good and evil, and seem to teach him that a superhero " someone with unusual strength and power " should use that power to help the weak. When he showed one of his best friends the superhero comics, however, that friend was downright shocked. He was from a family that was even more conservative than ours in some ways, and he was only allowed to read Christian comics. Although many ways Christian comic books are no different than normal comics, there are certain things that you can put in superhero comics that you can't put in a Christian book. **End Summary** Topics: christian comics comic books spiritual spirituality christian christian books
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving christian and psychic advice on his horoscope website weekly.

Great Christian Ministries

I first become involved in Christian ministries in 1996. To be honest, at the time I was not much of a committed Christian. I basically did it because my wife was into it. Christian ministry was alright for me, but it wasn't anything I particularly put faith in. The Christian youth Ministry I was involved in did some good work in the community, and I supported that, but I wasn't sure about the whole God thing. I liked that they were helping to keep kids off drugs and to provide job advice for the young, but I didn't understand what any of that had to do with Jesus.Part of it had to do with the dazzling variety of Christian ministries out there. There are people of nearly every description ministering for Christ, and some of them are more helpful than others. One Christian ministry might just preach the gospel to the converted, while another one might take trips to foreign lands, help disadvantaged people, and spread the word of Christ to folks who never would experience it otherwise. **End Summary** Topics: christian christian ministires ministry christianity spiritual spirituality
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving Christian and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

Unique Christian Camp

Christian parents need a break from the daily stresses of raising kids just like anyone else. Sending your kids to summer camp is one of the best ways to get them out of your hair for a few weeks while at the same time letting them have a summer adventure. Although there are plenty of excellent summer camps out there, many of them have a lot of temptations which your kids will have to navigate. Kids sneak around and experiment with all sorts of things they shouldn't try at summer camp and, if you don't know where the counselors are coming from, you can't be sure they will keep your kids safe. That is why I have been sending my kids to Christian camps every year. By sending them off to a Christian camp recommended by my minister, I can make sure that they will get the supervision that I would give them on my own. They get to enjoy camp outs, sports, sailing, swimming, and all sorts of other activities while still having a good, faith-based lifestyle that will keep them from straying from the beliefs of their parents. There are many different styles of Christian camps. **End Summary** Topics: christian camps camps camping online camping camps count count camps
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving christian and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

Board Games for Kids

In today's ever increasing focus on computers and technology, it's important to a child's development to have some hands on experience that goes beyond a keyboard or video game. Young kids are developing motor skills and an understanding of spatial relationships, important components of a healthy, well-rounded transition through various stages of their physical development. While video games can be stimulating and develop hand-eye coordination, the flat screen of a computer monitor, even with 3D effects, cannot replace physical activity in real time. Social interaction is likewise limited in scope, even when two kids play a game together. On the other hand, children's board games invite much in the way of social interaction. While you'll seldom hear kids squabbling over a computerized result, children's board games provide room for debate, but therein lies great value.Today, many children have problems with social skills. Plenty of kids still have problems, even in the fourth and fifth grades, with sharing, being gracious, or even civil to friends. Children's board games provide fun venues in which to develop these necessary skills and concepts. Let's take a look at some of the classic children's board games and what opportunities they afford a child. **End Summary** Topics: childrens board games board games games games online new games
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving game and psychic advice on his horoscope website weekly.

Coaching for Beginners

Coaching and mentoring has always come very easily to me. I've always loved working with Little League teams and organizations like that to help them play the best game they can play. I've been a coach and mentor for softball, football, baseball, and basketball teams, but until recently I never thought about making a career out of it. When I went to a life coaching seminar, however, it changed everything.I had always thought of coaching and mentoring as something you do with sports teams, but apparently you can do it with many other organizations and individuals as well. Personal coaching has taken off in the last few years. At first I assumed that this was pretty much the same thing as therapy, but it has some pretty important differences. Coaching and mentoring doesn't seek to solve personality problems, but to help you make decisions and to psych you up so that you can stick with those decisions. A good coach and mentor will inspire you and help you find out what you really want out of life. It can have a lot to do with long-term goals, but first it starts out with immediate actions. **End Summary** Topics: coaching coaching and mentoring mentors mentoring made easy easy mentor advice self;improvement Coaching
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving coaching and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

When children get to be 6 or 7 years old, it's only fair to establish your children's allowance at a rate that is appropriate to their age, as well as in consideration for tasks they are expected to perform on a regular basis. Just as you are paid at your job for work performed, a children's allowance program gives your children an opportunity to earn some money doing a few chores. This teaches your kids responsibility and helps to build confidence in their abilities, as well as giving them a sense of contributing to the family community. While kids younger than six rely on you to make their beds and help clean their rooms, by the time they reach the 6-7 age group, they can do these tasks themselves. They can also help you set the dinner table, feed and exercise the dog, or make sure their dirty clothes ends up in the clothes hamper. However, they're not very savvy about money. Setting up a children's allowance fund of $5 a week, in exchange for their performing a few chores each day, helps them to understand where money comes from and what they can do with their earnings. **End Summary** Topics: childrens allowance kids money money for kids childrens accounts Finance business;finance writing
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving money and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

Children Do Communicate

It's been often noted that parenting does not come with an instruction booklet. When you become a parent, you suddenly realize that communicating with children is not a by rote, step by step, interactive experience. Each child is unique. One of your kids may be the charismatic, outgoing individual, while another is shy and introverted. One size does not fit all. Effectively communicating with children involves a great deal of finesse and sensitivity on your part. The trick to effective communication is understanding and appreciating your child's uniqueness. That said, how do you make the most of your time with your child? Let's take a look. You can surely benefit from some of the self help books on parenting and stages of child development. These resources can help you understand why your child might be in to temper tantrums, or why a child might exhibit overly aggressive or reclusive behaviors. What's not nailed down is the very individual nuances and combinations of personality characteristics that describe your child.Educating yourself on the typical, expected stages of child development can offer clues, but are not of a definitive nature. Every child is an individual human being. **End Summary** Topics: children family family communication communicating online you can communicate communication Parenting
About the Author:
charlie Reese enjoys giving family and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

Problems with Communication and Kids

Just about every marriage has its ups and downs. Financial stresses, life events and health problems just have to be weathered as best as you're able. While these problems are often cited as major reasons for divorce, communication problems in relationships are often the root cause. If you're not communicating effectively, it's almost guaranteed that you'll experience a distancing from your spouse over time. Good communication skills can make your relationship work well and stay strong. Here, we take a look at five of the most common communication problems in relationships and what you can do about them to can get you back on track.1.This communication problem is most common in long term relationships. You've doubtless heard it said that, over time, your partner can anticipate your response in a conversation before you ever speak. Unless you are willing to really listen to your partner, uninterrupted, the not-listening syndrome takes hold. This isn't necessarily a one sided deal. Sometimes both people begin to talk over each other, while in other cases, one person talks and does not invite any response. **End Summary** Topics: communication communication problems communicating with kids child communication family Parenting
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving family and psychic advice on his horoscope website weekly.

Unique Organizing System

Unless you've got time to burn, you probably have at least one of those 'mystery closets'. I admit to having two such closets! In case you don't know what we're talking about here, the mystery closet has two major characteristics: you have only a vague idea of what's in it " mainly linens, but who knows what else " and when you open the door, something might fall out. When you think of cleaning out and organizing your closet, the thought is generally accompanied by a mental groan, followed quickly by thoughts of other organizing or cleaning tasks you'd rather do. By the time you do get around to it, the situation is totally out of control. Now is the time to consider doing the job once and for all. You need a closet organizing system. Once in place, you've got a spot for everything and it's very easy to maintain order. If you go with the usual sorting of like items on a hanging rod, with similar 'stuff' sorted on the shelves, it's too easy to get back to the cluttered mess you started with in the first place. **End Summary** Topics: closet closet organizing organization organization theories home home improvement home;accessory home;improvement Home Improvement
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving closet and psychic advice on his horoscope website weekly.

When it comes to inexpensive decorating ideas, coming up with ideas that dont cost much and which also make a significant and creative impact can be a challenge. Here are some ideas that you can use in any room, at little expense and effort, and become the envy of your neighbors. Your family members and visitors will think youre the cleverest decorator in town. All of these ideas are also lots of fun to put into play. These are win-win propositions.Closet doors are everywhere. Some open up into the room, making for wasted living space and rather plain viewing. Sliding closet doors dont infringe on living space as much, but these are still ordinarily Plain-Jane. While you may not be up to painting the entire room to spruce it up, cast your eye on that relatively small expanse of closet door space. Think of this door as a canvas. There are a variety of treatments you can apply that will create an integrated look to your room as well as a quite interesting focal point. One of the coolest ways to dress up a closet door is to paint your own mural, for a frescoed effect. **End Summary** Topics: closet door closet doors door space closet doors online online closet door space home;repair home;improvement Home Improvement
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving closet and psychic advice on his horoscope website weekly.

When you shop the electronics department or big office supply houses, you can definitely experience sticker shock at some of the prices being asked for what seem to be fairly simple software packages. Simple graphics packages, such as those which allow you to create your own flyers, stationary and the like often don't seem to warrant the price. Accounting software can cost hundreds of dollars. Before you act impulsively and buy something pricey, take a look at some of the excellent, albeit cheap computer software packages you can find online. Let's take a look at some of your options. Keep in mind that just because this is cheap computer software, it doesn't mean that it's not good.On the contrary, there are a lot of highly skilled software developers who offer their product for a nominal price. Here's how it works. The software engineer develops a product with plenty of bells and whistles and then sells it as 'shareware' at a good price. This guy or gal wants to make a name for themselves and uses the shareware market to showcase their cheap computer software and thus spread the word. **End Summary** Topics: cheap computers computer computer software software online software new software Computers computer;internet
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving computer software and psychic advice on his astrology website weekly.

I would love to be able to run my ministry on faith and fervor alone, but the truth is that the world doesn't work that way. Even if you're doing God's work, you have to do it in such a way that you can make ends meet. Faith sustains you, but not without brains. A modern ministry needs to cut costs wherever possible in order to stay financially self-sufficient.Lately, cheap Christian books has been a big focus for us. We've been working on a literacy drive with the local community, and we wanted to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. I figured that there was no better opportunity to introduce people to the Gospel them through Christian children's books. By buying cheap Christian books and then giving them out to our literacy candidates,I hope I can inspire more people to consider converting to Christianity.Lately, cheap Christian books has been a big focus for us.

Gone are the days when families can readily afford taking in a movie at the theatre every weekend, or even patronizing the local pizzeria. Most of us have scratched such activities from the family budget, just in order to make ends meet. However, this doesn't mean that family outings are out of the question. We just need to find activities that are affordable.Getting the whole family involved in a get together keeps family ties close and affords opportunities for communication that we may no longer have at the dinner table, due to schedules that don't match up at the same time. Here are five ideas for cheap family fun that every member of the family will enjoy, despite budgetary constraints.1.When was the last time your family went on a picnic? No matter where you live, there are plenty of public parks where you can have a picnic in beautiful surroundings.
Great Childhood Obesity Prevention

According to a recent news report, 34% of people in the U.S. are overweight, with an additional 33% considered obese! This means that just a third of us are of 'normal' weight. These statistics include people of all ages, including kids. No wonder everyone seems to be on a perpetual diet, with dozens of best selling books on weight loss programs and entire corporations dedicated to weight loss products and programs. It's clear that parents, for the sake of their kid's health, need to formulate a child obesity prevention program, beginning in grade school.Just a few decades ago, you hardly ever saw a child who looked overweight. In fact, kids were most often considered scrawny, until they were well into their teens and started filling out and gaining weight. Today, children who are scrawny are few and far between. Now, kids still in grade school are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes used to be a condition which didn't develop until at least middle age. Being overweight is a risk factor for a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, along with a host of other health conditions, including heart disease. **End Summary** Topics: child obesity obese obesity online fight obesity childhood obesity heal obesity family Parenting
About the Author:
Charlie Reese likes giving childhood and psychic advice on his astrology website daily.

Should the Government Bailout Corporations?

While most Americans are struggling to make ends meet, a certain elite segment of working individuals seem to enjoy yearly incomes that most of us do not enjoy in an entire lifetime of hard work. Just a few short months ago, the American public learned that there were massive failures in the staunch, long established institutions, such as the banks, mortgage lenders and automobile manufacturers. We were told that our government became suddenly aware of these facts and that our Congress and Senate had to move quickly to avoid the catastrophic failure of these behemoth corporations. We were told that these disastrous events had just fallen out of nowhere, but that we'd better be quick on our feet to rescue these failing institutions. With weekly, monthly and quarterly results reported on Wall Street, you're forced to wonder how such massive incompetence could have failed to be noticed much sooner. After the Enron scandal, you might have thought that this couldn't happen again. Surely the SEC, Congress and the Senate should have taken steps to see that these corporate practices had more oversight and accountability. **End Summary** Topics: ceo salary business business advice business salary good salaries salary online online salary Business business;finance
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving business and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

Great Business Letters

When you write personal correspondence either in letter or email form, you know you dont have to worry quite as much about how you say things. You always want to have good spelling and decent grammar, of course, but your personal friends and family are not going to nitpick and disown you because of a few mistakes. However, when it comes to writing business letters, you want to make sure they are perfectly worded and completely without error. On top of that, they must be clear, to the point, and as brief as possible.Business letters are all about business. You dont want to send anything that sounds too personal, but you also dont want to sound too stiff with someone with which you have been doing business with for a long time. Always start and end with the proper terms like dear and sincerely, though there are other terms that are acceptable. Look up the proper formatting for business letters, and never stray from that formula for the best outcome each item. There are a few different formats that work, but the most formal works the best, even when you feel the business is more on the casual side. **End Summary** Topics: business business letters letters for business online business knowing business business ethics Business business;finance
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving business and psychic advice on his horoscope website daily.

How to Train a Cat

Cats are well-known for being thoroughly tractable pets. Even the most ornery cats are generally willing to keep to themselves if left alone. It is true that some cats will scratch other pets, play rough with kids, or develop other sorts of behavior problems, but at their worst they are generally much better than bad dogs. Unfortunately, the flip side of this is that cats are notoriously hard to train. They tend to not develop as many bad behaviors, but it is almost impossible to teach them to develop good behaviors. cat behavior modification requires patience, persistence, and determination. That isn't to say that it can't be done. As a matter of fact, often cat behavior modification Is easy enough that the pet owner can do it on their own without a lot of free time. For example, training you cat to stay off furniture and away from certain forbidden objects is a pretty easy process. All you do is spray water on your cat and say bad every time they go on the object. You can even take it one step further and put bitter orange or something similar on the forbidden object. **End Summary** Topics: cat behavior cats pets pet behavior behavioral love loving a pet pet pets_and_animals
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving pet and astrology advice on his horoscope website weekly.

When people are doing home decor, they consider all kinds of things. When we were doing kitchen remodeling, we were ready to take rather drastic actions to change the look of our kitchen. Not that there was anything wrong with it " it was a pretty solid design. It was just that, after living in the same house for 12 years, we wanted to see something new. We thought about rearranging the counter tops, installing new cabinets, putting in new wood floors, and even knocking out a wall to give us more room. One thing we never thought of until we were almost done planning was the ceiling lighting. It is a good thing that we thought about it before it was too late. Just by changing around a few ceiling lights, you can make quite an impressive difference in the look and feel of any room. Our kitchen has recessed ceiling lights. They were all right when it was new, but over the years they have gotten kind of drab and dull. I don't think that the wiring was very solid, and some of them have burnt out. Other ones look old and dingy. **End Summary** Topics: ceiling ceiling lights light lighting home lights homes home lighting lighing at home home;accessory home;improvement Home Improvement
About the Author:
Charlie Reese enjoys giving home and astrology advice on his horoscope website daily.
