Are We Destroying Remedies Faster Than They Can Be Found?

The vast majority of discoveries and inventions began as accidents. A military radar technician that walked in front of an active radar dish noticed that it melted the chocolate bar in his shirt pocket. This was the basis of the microwave oven concept. A glue chemist accidentally created a very weak glue, but noticed that it remained sticky and could be reused many times. Those popular yellow sticky notes were born. Modern medical miracles have also had such humble beginnings. At the rate that land is being cleared, will we have a chance to find these hidden miracles?

One such example is the medicinal property of willow bark. Somehow, it was discovered that chewing willow bark was an effective pain reliever. It worked very well, because the practice spread and was continued for hundreds or thousands of years. Today we know that willow bark contains the active ingredient found in common aspirin.

More than a hundred years ago, a smart but very messy scientist was growing different types of bacteria. He noticed that something was contaminating his bacteria cultures and killing them. He traced the offender to the kind of mold that grows on old bread. **End Summary** Topics: home remedy remedies
About the Author:
Doug Smith has Free <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com/1-home-remedy-for-removing-skin-tags.html">Home Remedies For Skin Tags</a> at <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com"> http://www.SuperHomeRemedies.com </a> .

A bookmark is an item that you place into a paper book to mark the place where you stopped reading. This bookmark allows you to easily return to the exact spot you were before, without having to memorize the page number.

An online bookmark serves the same purpose. When you find an internet site you want to mark for later viewing, or that you'll want to find again, you tell your browser to set a bookmark. These are also called favorites. This bookmark allows you to return exactly to the same site again and again, without ever having to memorize the link.

What Is Social Bookmarking

You've been using social bookmarking, even if you didn't know it! When you forward a funny e-mail joke or picture to a friend, that's a form of social bookmarking. You are socially sharing a bookmark to a website with a friend. That gives your friends exposure to websites they might never find on their own. They do the same for you when they send these informal social bookmarks to you.

Social Bookmarking Sites

Social bookmarking sites began as a way for web surfers to upload and save their personal browser bookmarks online. **End Summary** Topics: social bookmarking social bookmarking
About the Author:
Learn The "Insider Secrets to <a href="http://www.learnsocialbookmarking.com">Social Bookmarking</a> " at <a href="http://www.learnsocialbookmarking.com"> http://www.LearnSocialBookmarking.com </a> Get More Sales, Traffic, and Free Links by Submitting your Pages to 20 Bookmarking Sites with 1 Click!

Cordless Electric Lawn Mower Review

Introduction

This is a review of the Black and Decker (B&D) CMM1000 5 HP cordless electric lawn mower with a 19-inch cutting path. The mower has a mulching feature and came with a rear-mounted grass catcher. The author has used this model for years and offers the following observations and advice to those considering the purchase of a cordless electric lawn mower.

Convenience

This cordless lawn mower is extremely convenient. There is no need to purchase any gasoline or oil for the life of the mower. Because gasoline prices are currently so high, this is an extremely cost-effective mower. The B&D CMM1000 mower initially costs more than its gasoline-powered counterpart. However, the elimination of gas and oil purchases, oil changes, air filter changes, and all the maintenance normally associated with small gasoline engines offsets the initial price.

Almost no maintenance is required, except for an occasional blade sharpening and removal of accumulated grass from beneath the cutting deck and discharge chute.

Electric lawn mowers are much quieter than their gasoline-powered counterparts. The noise level drops even more during the cutting session as the battery gradually uses its charge.

Say good-bye to back-breaking pull starting. **End Summary** Topics: electric lawn mower electric lawnmower cordless electric lawn mower cordless electric lawn mower
About the Author:
Copyright 2006 by Doug Smith, who invites you to browse his free website about saving gas with easy to use <a href="http://lawnmowers.hobbyboutique.com">electric lawn mower</a> models and options at <a href="http://lawnmowers.hobbyboutique.com"> http://lawnmowers.hobbyboutique.com</a>

Factors Affecting Laser Hair Removal

It would be surprising if you haven't considered trying laser hair removal by now. Almost everyone has some form of unwanted body hair. Many hail it as a magical hair removal method. The doctor merely waves his magic laser wand over the unwanted hair and it is gone forever. This is wishful thinking. There is a great deal of science involved in laser hair removal, and many factors can affect the quality of the treatment.

Beam Strength

It is obvious that the strength of the laser beam affects the quality of the laser hair removal session. Just as it is more effective to extinguish a flame with the water pressure of a fire hose than with a garden hose, the "light pressure" of a laser can make the difference between excellent results and no results at all. The doctor must control the beam strength carefully, such as through the time of exposure.

Wavelength

Many different laser wavelengths have been tried for laser hair removal. The wavelength is a measure of the distance between adjacent waves of the laser light. Lasers are characterized by the material used to create the laser light, such as alexandrite, argon, and ruby. **End Summary** Topics: laser hair removal hair removal laser hair removal skin color hair color depilation
About the Author:
Copyright 2006 by Doug Smith, who invites you to visit <a href="http://laser.hairremovalanswers.com">laser hair removal</a> for free <a href="http://www.hairremovalanswers.com">hair removal</a> information.

Gas Saving Tips 1 - Use Less Gas And Save Money

You have probably heard theses gas saving tips from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and whoever taught you to drive. Yet very few people actually bother to implement them.

Why is that? Are people tired of hearing them? Have these gas saving tips been said so many times that people tune them out? Well, you are going to hear them again in this series of articles, along with the reasons why they DO work!

Gas Saving Tip #1: Know Your Vehicle's Fuel Efficiency

The actual fuel efficiency of your car will probably differ from that stated on the price sticker. Variables such as make, model, weather, city or interstate driving, and driving habits will affect the fuel efficiency. Efficiency is measured in miles driven per gallon of gasoline used (miles per gallon or mpg).

That is why you should periodically calculate your vehicle's fuel efficiency. If you see it decreasing, you know that something's not right with the engine and can take quick action to fix it.

Some people are unaware of how to properly calculate fuel efficiency. It is more than simply dividing miles by gallons. **End Summary** Topics: gas station credit card credit card save gas save gasoline save gas gasoline fuel efficiency
About the Author:
Copyright 2006 by Doug Smith, who invites you to find more free information on <a href="http://gascreditcards.findcarsforhire.com">gas station credit card</a> and many more gas saving tips at <a href="http://gascreditcards.findcarsforhire.com"> http://gascreditcards.findcarsforhire.com </a> .

Herbal Teas - Tasty Or Toxic?

Have you visited the tea section of your local grocery store lately? If so, you've seen the dizzying array of herbal tea blends, brands and flavors. There's no doubt that herbal teas are a huge commercial success, and they've been enjoyed for centuries. Many tea lovers buy them for their smell and taste. Others expect herbal teas to be a healthier alternative for other caffeine-containing beverages. Some buy them strictly for the medicinal benefits or effects on the packages.

These claimed medical effects can include calming, soothing, and relaxing. On the other hand, other high-caffeine tea blends may promise increased energy and concentration. Green tea remains a top-seller for its legendary health effects. Is there a dark side to the booming herbal tea business?

Reading The Tea Leaves

In the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has the responsibility to evaluate foodstuffs and medications sold to the public. Herbal teas receive very little regulation. Generally, herbal teas fall into a gray area between foods and drugs. Traditionally, the FDA has considered herbal teas taken only for taste and aroma to be classified as foods. **End Summary** Topics: home remedies home remedies home remedy herbal tea herbal teas herbal tea teas herbs green tea
About the Author:
Copyright 2006 by Doug Smith.
Scheduling Autoresponder Messages

Introduction

The extreme versatility of autoresponders is that the messages are pre-written and sent automatically. This saves the internet marketer a great deal of time and effort. Even better, the messages are programmed to be sent at intervals designated by the internet marketer. These intervals are relative to the initial request by the recipient.

Once the messages are written, the time intervals set, and the opt-in form installed on a web page, the marketer does not need to bother with the system again. Other than tweaking the content and intervals of the messages, and possible unscheduled broadcasts, the system runs automatically. What is the best way to schedule autoresponder messages?

Scheduling Autoresponder Messages

This article offers three methods of scheduling autoresponder messages: 1) steady intervals, 2) decreasing frequency, and 3) content-based.

1. Steady Interval Scheduling

Scheduling autoresponder messages at steady intervals means that the interval between messages is the same for all messages. This method is useful for delivering information on a periodic basis, such as a weekly e-course or a monthly reminder list. Remember that your subscribers are likely receiving other autoresponder courses too, so daily messages are probably too intrusive. **End Summary** Topics: automatic responder autoresponder autoresponder software email e-mail marketing
About the Author:
Copyright 2006 by Doug Smith, who invites you to visit his free website about <a href="http://autoresponders.hobbyboutique.com">autoresponders</a> and tips and tricks for using them at <a href="http://autoresponders.hobbyboutique.com"> http://autoresponders.hobbyboutique.com </a>

Myths About Home Remedies For Jellyfish Stings

What's Lurking Beneath The Waves?

People often seek ocean vacations to escape their winter woes. Ocean dangers do exist, especially when daring people venture into the ocean on their own.

Sharks are probably the first threat people think of, especially since the movie "Jaws" was released. Although highly-publicized, shark attacks are relatively rare.

Other dangers involve currents such as rip tides and undertows. Proper instruction and flotation devices can assist one in surviving unpredictable ocean currents.

There is one threat that most ocean visitors are at a total loss to deal with: jellyfish.

What's So Bad About Jellyfish?

Jellyfish are marine invertebrates having a bell-shaped, jelly-like substance enclosing their internal structure. Most species have tentacles covered with stinging cells that can stun or kill other ocean life. Most jellyfish use this stinging defense to catch prey or to defend themselves.

Most jellyfish are not very dangerous to humans, but a few are highly toxic. A recently discovered Australian species is suspected of causing two deaths there.

You may be swimming with jellyfish and never even know it. Many are tiny with unnoticeable stings. **End Summary** Topics: home remedy home remedies home remedy jellyfish jelly fish sting urine cure sting
About the Author:
Doug Smith offers free <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com">home remedies</a> at <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com"> www.SuperHomeRemedies.com </a> Use mayonnaise, duct tape, yogurt, banana peels, cola, mouthwash, peroxide and common items to cure embarrassing conditions.

How To Find Hidden Money In Your Hobby

What Is A Hobby?

Ask 10 different people what a hobby is, and you will no doubt get 10 different answers. It is also possible that all 10 answers are correct! Several factual sources were consulted to define a hobby.

Links to dozens of free and informative hobby sites appear at the conclusion of this article.

The library dictionary defines a hobby as "a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in for relaxation."

An online dictionary calls it "an auxiliary activity (synonyms: avocation, by-line, sideline, spare-time activity)."

A popular online encyclopedia gives this definition: "a spare-time recreational pursuit."

A hobby is therefore an activity you perform in your spare time for pleasure or relaxation. However, none of those definitions say anything about money.

How Much Is Your Hobby Costing You?

You will have to spend some amount of money in order to enjoy most hobbies. If you collect coins, you have to spend paper money in order to gather enough change to collect.
Military Swords Of Fantasy

Military swords of the modern Armed Forces symbolize power, strength, duty, and honor. There is also a historical aspect to military swords. The sword in medieval times was often the primary weapon of the soldier.

As weapon technology advanced, especially with the widespread use of gunpowder, swords became more ceremonial in nature. Today, the military sword as a weapon survives as the bayonet. Full-size military swords today are not used in combat and are symbolic instead.

Military Swords In Print

Military swords play a larger role in fantasy literature. This literature is frequently set in a medieval milieu, bringing the military sword once again into prominence as a primary weapon. These swords often have special abilities or confer special powers on their bearers. Some of these swords are special enough to have their own names.

Two of the many military swords of fantasy are discussed in the following paragraphs.

Sword Of The Rings

J.R.R. Tolkien's classic fantasy "The Lord Of The Rings" abounds with military swords. Many of these were forged with magic for use against evil foes. Sting, the short sword wielded by Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, may be the most well-known. **End Summary** Topics: military sword military swords military sword swords lord of the rings star wars lightsaber
About the Author:
Discover Amazing Facts About <a href="http://military.careerdictionary.com">Military Swords</a> , Coins, Rings, and Military Collectibles at <a href="http://military.careerdictionary.com"> http://Military.CareerDictionary.com </a> Copyright 2006 by Doug Smith.
What Is The Fair Tax And Why Should You Care?

The U.S. Federal Income Tax Code is a tax on the income of American companies and citizens enacted by the government. The U.S. Constitution gives Congress the power to impose taxes, duties, imposts, and excises.

The purpose of the Tax Code is to provide income for the operation of the government. The Tax Code is found in Title 26 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Any U.S. citizen who has filled out a federal tax return knows how confusing the current U.S. Tax Code is. Additional layers of complexity appear if the taxpayer itemizes deductions, deducts home business expenses, or has a profit or loss due to investments.

When the convolutions of corporate tax law are considered, it is no wonder that companies hire teams of accountants to prepare their income tax returns.

What Is The Fair Tax?

The Fair Tax is a proposed income tax system intended by its founders to replace the current Tax Code. The Fair Tax Bill was proposed by Representative John Linder (R-GA) in July 1999 to the 106th Congress. **End Summary** Topics: income tax income tax taxes fair tax fair tax fairtax tax deduction tax return
About the Author:
Doug Smith provides free <a href="http://incometax.careerdictionary.com">income tax tips</a> and other income tax preparation assistance at <a href="http://incometax.careerdictionary.com"> http://IncomeTax.CareerDictionary.com </a> .
Fake Credit Card Numbers Mean Safer Online Shopping

Isn't That Illegal?

Yes, using credit cards fraudulently is illegal. This article is absolutely not suggesting that you make up and use a credit card number. You should also never use credit cards belonging to other people.

Below is a summary of new services the credit card companies have created to make online credit card use more secure.

How Does It Work?

It is more appropriate to use the terms "temporary credit card numbers" or "single-use credit card numbers" rather than "fake credit card numbers."

Some credit card issuers allow customers to generate and use a credit card number that is different from the number on their plastic credit card.

Current Online Security Measures

Security-conscious online buyers should only submit their credit card numbers to web sites that are secured by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. You can tell if a web page is secure by looking for the following signs:

1. The page address in the browser address bar begins with https. The extra "s" means secure. Normal web page addresses begin with http.

2. The browser will usually display a closed lock or a complete key symbol when you are at a secure page.

3. **End Summary** Topics: credit card cards credit cards single use number ssl shop online security encryption shopping online
About the Author:
Compare Credit Cards and Learn Which <a href="http://gascreditcards.findcarsforhire.com">Gas Rewards</a> Cards and <a href="http://gascreditcards.findcarsforhire.com">Cash Back Credit Cards</a> Save You the Most Money.
How New Acne Drugs Are Developed

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) states its purpose in the following mission statement:

"The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for advancing the public health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; and helping the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health."

In 2005 the FDA provided a public draft guidance document to the pharmaceutical industry on the development of drugs to treat acne vulgaris, or acne. The draft guidance document contains the FDA's current thinking on the development of acne drugs and the methods that should be used.

Some of the guidance document information is summarized below. At the time of this writing the FDA document had not been finalized.

Types of Acne Lesions

The two major types of acne lesions are classified as non-inflammatory and inflammatory. Non-inflammatory acne lesions are more commonly known as whiteheads and blackheads. **End Summary** Topics: acne drug drugs pimples zits cure treatment skin care prevent prevention whitehead blackhead
About the Author:
Want to get rid of your acne fast?
Venomous Lizard Puts The Bite On Diabetes

Here is yet another case of a home remedy waiting to be discovered. In 2005 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a drug for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. The drug is called Byetta (exenatide). There's nothing amazing about that part. New drugs are created often.

The almost unbelievable part is where the drug originated. It wasn't produced in a lab. Instead, the active ingredient of Byetta comes from the venomous saliva of the Gila Monster lizard.

The Gila Monster, once thought to be one of only two venomous lizards, lives in the deserts of the southwestern U.S. and northwestern Mexico. The Gila Monster is a thick-bodied, heavy and slow-moving lizard. It grows to a maximum length of 2 feet (0.6 m) and preys on small rodents, fledgling birds, and eggs. It tends to eat animals on the ground that cannot move fast (or at all). The quick, strong bite of the Gila Monster delivers venomous saliva that is normally not fatal to humans.

Instead, there is a component of the lizard's venom that is extremely helpful to certain humans. **End Summary** Topics: home remedy remedies home remedy home remedies byetta exenatide diabetes insulin glucose gila
About the Author:
Discover <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com">free home remedies</a> at http://www.SuperHomeRemedies.com that show you how to use mayonnaise, duct tape, yogurt, banana peels, cola, mouthwash, peroxide, thread and other common ingredients to cure common but embarrassing conditions.
Structured Settlements And The Power Of Annuities

A structured settlement is a type of financial settlement usually awarded to the victim of a personal injury accident. For example, assume a jury awards the victim damages in the sum of $4 million. Depending on the circumstances, the damages may be awarded as a structured settlement rather than as a lump sum.

The settlement is called "structured" because the initial award ($4,000,000 in this example) is divided up into equal payments that are paid to the victim at precisely defined time intervals.

If the settlement is structured to pay the victim $100,000 a year, the period of the settlement is 40 years. Therefore, the victim would receive a payment of $100,000 each year for the next 40 years. The total amount of cash received by the victim would be 40 years x $100,000 per year, which equals the original award amount of $4,000,000.

Many people think the paying party has to put $4 million into a bank account set up for the victim. They also think that $100,000 will be withdrawn from that bank account each year and paid to the victim. **End Summary** Topics: structured settlement lump sum cash award sell annuity annuities finance finances financial
About the Author:
Got a <a href="http://structuredsettlements.loansforanycredit.com">structured settlement</a> and don't know whether to keep it or sell it?

The Loan Shark was a staple bad guy of the movies of the 1940's and 1950's. He was that shady guy with the nice clothes and fancy house that lived in the seedy side of town. And when you needed money fast, and the bank turned you down, there was only one other person who could help: the Loan Shark.

The Loan Shark was a criminal who made his money by preying on the poor. Perhaps they were out of work, about to be evicted, or needed the money for hospital bills. He would loan them money at astronomical interest rates and ridiculously short maturity dates.

The Loan Shark ran a tight business. When the loan was due, he would send his hired thugs to collect the principal as well as the huge interest payment. If the borrower could pay on time, all was well. If not, the thugs threatened and beat the hapless borrower, gave him a short extension on the loan, and increased the interest even higher.

Loan sharks operated in the real world also, and were often associated with organized crime. **End Summary** Topics: payday loan loans pay day cash advance bad credit payday loan
About the Author:
Interested in getting a <a href="http://paydayloans.loansforanycredit.com">payday loan</a> ?
Car Lemon Laws - You Don't Have To Live With A Sour Deal

United States car lemon laws were enacted to protect consumers against buying defective, unrepairable vehicles. The major automobile manufacturers mass-produce their products, and generally the quality control is very good. However, when you connect more than a few parts together, you have a chance for a lemon.

What is a lemon car? A lemon or lemon car is an automobile that has a defect that cannot be repaired by the consumer after a reasonable number of attempts. Alternately, if the car has been in a repair garage for 30 calendar days or more for repairs on the same defect, it may also be classified as a lemon car. The term can also apply to a vehicle in which the defect negatively affects the value and safety of the vehicle. Car lemon laws vary by state, so you should consult your own state laws to determine the exact definition that applies to you.

Why is a terminally defective car called a lemon? One can only speculate why the name of a tart yellow citrus fruit came to be associated with defective cars. Lemons are very sour in taste, and traditionally sour tastes have been associated with bad luck. **End Summary** Topics: lemon law laws state vehicle car cars defect defective tips help advice
About the Author:
Bought a lemon car?
DWI, DUI, And BAC: Three Deadly Acronyms

DWI - Driving While Intoxicated.
DUI - Driving Under the Influence (of alcohol or drugs).
BAC - Blood Alcohol Concentration (or Content).

These three acronyms form a deadly combination. The main links between the three are alcohol and driving. It is well documented that drinking alcohol impairs judgment, slows reaction time, and decreases coordination. When a person is DWI or DUI, he or she is piloting a one-ton time bomb with little control over it. Is it speeding towards you?

These three acronyms have legal ramifications too. DUI and DWI are criminal offenses. To determine if a DWI or DUI offense has been committed, it is necessary to measure how much alcohol was consumed by the suspect driver (the BAC).

In the field, police officers utilize tests to determine the amount of a driver's impairment due to alcohol. Such tests include, but are not limited to, breath alcohol tests and field sobriety tests. The breath test is further discussed in this article.

A person's reaction to alcohol varies widely. Some factors that affect alcohol impairment include gender, body weight, time of last meal, time of day, alcohol tolerance, medications, genetics, rate of alcohol consumption, and many more. **End Summary** Topics: dwi dui bac driving under influence the intoxicated blood alcohol content concentration drunk
About the Author:
Do you need to get out of a <a href="http://dwi.findcarsforhire.com">DWI</a> / DUI arrest or conviction?
Diabetes Herbal Remedy Works Better Than Insulin?

It is another case of a home remedy waiting to be discovered. A new study suggests that a traditional Indian diabetes herb treatment lowers blood sugar and insulin levels as well as today's prescription drugs.

39 healthy adults received extracts of the herb Salacia oblonga with promising results. Insulin and blood glucose levels were lowered by a maximum of 29 and 23 percent, respectively. These reductions occurred when test subjects received the largest dose of the herb extract (1,000 mg).

"These kinds of reductions are similar to what we might see with prescription oral medications for people with diabetes," said Steve Hertzler, a study co-author and an assistant professor of nutrition at Ohio State University.

Salacia oblonga is an herb native to regions of India and Sri Lanka. Researchers found that it can bind to intestinal enzymes that convert carbohydrates into glucose. If the herb binds to these enzymes before the enzymes can turn carbs into glucose, then less glucose sugar enters the bloodstream. Therefore less insulin is required.

"Lowering blood glucose levels lowers the risk of disease-related complications in people with diabetes," Hertzler said. **End Summary** Topics: home remedy remedies alternative medicine diabetes insulin herbal Salacia oblonga herbal
About the Author:
Discover <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com">free home remedies</a> that teach you how to use mayonnaise, duct tape, yogurt, soda, mouthwash, peroxide, thread and other common household ingredients to cure common but embarrassing conditions.
Lasers - The New Mythical Gift Of Fire

In Greek mythology, the Titan Prometheus gave the gift of fire to Humanity. It provided warmth, light, and energy. Whether or not you believe that myth, humanity has learned to concentrate that light into beams of unimaginable power:

Lasers.

What does that word make you think of first? Science fiction ray guns? A secret agent strapped to a table while a metal-melting beam of light inches toward him? Or maybe the master thief throwing dust in the air to reveal a deadly maze of red laser beams guarding the treasure?

Those are all popular but outdated images of the laser. Today, lasers vanquish different foes such as unwanted hair, vision correction, and even tumors.

How is a beam of light able to delicately reshape the surface of the eye, yet still be able to cut steel?

LASER is an acronym for "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation." In this definition radiation doesn't refer to nuclear radiation, but to electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic spectrum includes radio waves, microwaves, infrared light, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, and X-rays. Some light wavelengths are visible, and other are not unless special equipment is used (e.g., infrared cameras, night-vision goggles). **End Summary** Topics: laser lasers hair removal light titan mythology laser hair removal methods waxing sugaring shaving
About the Author:
Visit <a href="http://www.hairremovalanswers.com">Hair Removal Answers</a> and <a href="http://laser.hairremovalanswers.com">Laser Hair Removal</a> for Free Laser Hair Removal Facts, Answers, and Articles for Both Men and Women.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates medical devices in the U.S. The FDA keeps extensive databases on these devices containing lists of the devices, their safety records, pre-market notifications, and pre-market approval notices, to name a few.

Section 510(k) of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act requires regulated medical device manufacturers to notify the FDA at least 90 days in advance of their intent to market a medical device. This is known as Premarket Notification -- also called PMN or 510(k). It allows FDA to determine whether the device is equivalent to a device already placed into one of the three classification categories.

This allows "new" (unclassified) devices (those not in commercial distribution prior to May 28, 1976) to be properly identified. Specifically, medical device manufacturers are required to submit a premarket notification if they intend to introduce a device into commercial distribution for the first time.

The 501(k) notification must also be submitted when reintroducing a device that has been significantly changed or modified to the extent that its safety or effectiveness could be affected. **End Summary** Topics: laser hair removal medical lasers devices FDA regulation 510(k)
What My Cat Taught Me About Niche Marketing

Some people are "dog people," others are "cat people." I'm a cat person. Regardless of which pet you prefer, we can all agree that pets enrich our lives in many ways. They provide unconditional affection, they don't care what we look like, and sometimes even they teach us a life lesson.

But I never expected my cat to teach me a marketing lesson! A niche marketing lesson, to be more precise.

At this point, the dog lovers reading this are saying that this cat person is crazy. But I'm not. Here's how it happened.

Like millions of other pet lovers, I bought plenty of pet toys. We all want to be able to interact with our pets, yet still have them not be bored when we're away.

My cat went through the usual toy assortment: feathers, balls with bells in them, foam balls, catnip, string, and an assortment of stuffed rodents. Because we all want the best for our furry friends, I bought the biggest stuffed rat I could find. It received an occasional sniff but was mostly ignored. **End Summary** Topics: niche marketing niches keywords adsense content dictionary unique content
About the Author:
<a href="http://www.nichedictionary.com">Niche Dictionary</a> is a hot new content/keyword technique from <a href="http://www.nichedictionary.com">http://www.NicheDictionary.com</a> Automatically adds keywords and randomized content to Adsense Sites with every page view.
Amazing Vacations With Car Hire In Europe

Car hire in Europe can be a unique and unforgettable way for Americans to become acquainted with the grandeur and history of Europe. If you are not familiar with the term "car hire," it simply means car rental or renting a car. Seeing ancient architecture, picturesque villas, vibrant vineyards, and majestic mountains from the cockpit of a convertible is an exhilarating experience. Here are some tips and advice for maximizing the fun of your car hire in Europe.

When planning your European vacation, consider a car hire in your destination country rather than transportation by train or bus. Make your reservations far in advance, print all travel and rental confirmations, and take them with you. Much of the "paperwork" can now be done online.

Bring your normal driver's license with you, and all your insurance information. Just like the car rental companies in your own country, the ones in Europe need proof that you are an eligible and responsible driver. Find out what other documentation, if any, you will need for a car hire in your European destination country.

Determine in advance what make and model of car you will be getting, and whether you can drive it! **End Summary** Topics: car hire rent rental vacation vacations Europe abroad overseas rental car rent car rent a car
About the Author:
Discover more free and incredible "maximum horsepower" car rental vacation tips on <a href="http://www.findcarsforhire.com">car hire abroad</a> at <a href="http://www.findcarsforhire.com">http://www.FindCarsForHire.com</a>

Not Now, I Have A Headache

Home Remedies - Facts or Quacks?

That’s what I recently asked myself. Myths and legends often have their basis in a grain of truth. Are home remedies based on truth too? A little research provided this unusual perspective on one of our most frequently-used medicines.

Are We Barking Up The Wrong Tree?

Not if it’s a willow tree! Chewing on willow bark to reduce fever and inflammation dates back to the time of Hippocrates (400 BC). Willow bark was used as a medicine in China and Europe for centuries because of its ability to relieve pain and lower fever. Early American settlers even found Native Americans gathering bark from willow trees to treat the same conditions.

What’s So Special About Willow Bark?

Willow trees, including the white, black, purple and violet species, contain a chemical called salicin. Chewing or pulping this bark releases the salicin. Once the bark is ingested, the body converts the salicin from the willow bark into salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is still used today to treat fevers, decrease inflammation, and even help heart disease.

There’s no need to gnaw on a tree like a beaver every time you have a headache. **End Summary** Topics: home remedy remedies alternative medicine cure willow bark aspirin
About the Author:
Discover secret <a href="http://www.superhomeremedies.com">home remedies</a> at http://www.SuperHomeRemedies.com that show you how to use mayonnaise, duct tape, yogurt, banana peels, cola, mouthwash, peroxide, thread and other common ingredients to cure common but embarrassing conditions.

Home Remedies - Facts or Quacks?

That’s what I recently asked myself. Myths and legends often have their basis in a grain of truth. So I wondered if home remedies, alternative treatments, and folklore cures might also be based on truth. A little research provided these astonishing results!

Itching For A Cure

Edward Jenner is widely credited as the father of the smallpox vaccination. However, twenty years earlier in 1774, a quick-thinking English farmer named Benjamin Jesty saved his family from smallpox using some pretty unorthodox methods.

Waiting Until The Cows Come Home

In 1774 the highly infectious and deadly smallpox disease was epidemic. Farmer Jesty, immune to the disease because he had survived it in childhood, feared for the lives of his pregnant wife and children. Many country folk knew that people who had previously caught the milder disease of cowpox from an infected cow did not catch the normally-fatal smallpox disease.

A Desperate Plan

Frantic to find a solution before his family caught the disease, Jesty took his family to a nearby farm where cows were infected with cowpox.
