The Origin of Jatukam Amulets

A lot of lucky amulets that we use to attract fortune and success originally come from distant lands. And rarely do we realize what long and rich history they have witnessed.
Many years ago Sri Lanka was trembled with wars and armed revolts. After all, it was conquered by a powerful king who was believed to keep the sacred remnants of Lord Buddha. The king was to visit his new lands so he headed for a long trip. But first he ordered his two sons - Jatukam and Ramathep - to guard the relics. The king departed and his rivals decided that it was the time to win the remnants over. And the princes took a decision to bring them to Sri Lanka but they failed, having been caught by a storm. The ship went down, the crew drowned and only the princes managed to survive. They were completely helpless, didn`t have the way to leave the inhabited island, all they could do was to prey to their holly patron. Little by little they built a temple - Wat Mahathat, which slowly grew into a prosperous city which is nowadays located in Southern Thailand. **End Summary** Topics: amulet lucky jatukam ramathep
About the Author:
An amulet is an object that protects a person from evil and brings good luck.
Why Do Music Fans Prefer FLAC Music Format?

There is much hype around a comparatively new music format which is said to be of very high quality. But what do these four letters - FLAC - really stand for? And what distinguishes this music format from so familiar mp3, wav and ogg? Let`s have a closer look.
What is so cool about it, is that FLAC, standing for Free Lossless Audio Codec, is a lossless format. For you personally it means that your favorite song won`t lose quality during encoding and will sound completely like the source file. Pretty cool, isn`t it? But here miracles don`t stop. This very format allows significant compressing of the file without damage to the quality. That is a good piece of news for people who store gigabytes of music on their computers. Due to this feature FLAC format achieves total victory over a bulky WAV lossless format. Good news don`t stop even here. Unlike some other platforms, FLAC is absolutely free and universal. It can equally be used on WindowsME, Linux and Unix. Besides its unique qualities FLAC has all the convenient features of other formats. **End Summary** Topics: download flac music download lossless music flac music downloads lossless music downloads
About the Author:
Allflac is one of the biggest online music stores on the internet where you can instantly download FLAC music and enjoy it.
How to improve your results in poker by a lucky charm only?

There are various approaches to such a difficult notion as luck. Rationalists state that what cannot be explained by science and reason is absurdity and is not worth mentioning. More tolerant people would say that luck is something unpredictable and uncontrollable, that we cannot influence and that just exists in our lives. And on the opposite side there are people who sincerely believe that with the help of certain rituals they can draw this light-headed lady called "luck". And this very approach in most cases is shared by people prone to poker and gambling on the whole. Failures can be easily explained by an unlucky day, while a set of rituals can tangibly improve the situation. This very kit of rituals is very often dictated by the traditions dominating in the culture. Some lucky charms are really old and date back to our forefathers. Take the number 7 for instance. In most West European countries this number has been considered lucky for centuries. While the number 13, due to some dark pages of our history, has earned a very bad reputation. Is luck important for poker? **End Summary** Topics: poker charms lucky poker charms
About the Author:
If you are a gambler and want to improve your luck,www.GoodLuckgamblers.com will help you.
