Dr. Dre, producer of hip hop, is an American record producer, rapper, record executive, and actor who began his career in music as a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru. He later found fame with the influential gangsta rap group NWA, which stood for Niggaz With Attitude.

Core members were Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Eazy-E, MC Ren & DJ Yella. Coming from the Ghetto's of Compton and founders of Gangsta Rap their music and lyrics were both shocking and influential to a whole generation of people regardless of colour or creed.

Straight Outta Compton is constantly rated in the top 150 most influential albums. Other members came and went and the Wu Tang Clan were grown from the influences and some ex members of NWA.

Dre left NWA and formed Death Row Records, Easy-E died from AIDS, MC Ren has moved on and helps
with Public Enemys recording schedules guesting on some of their tracks while MC Yella now directs and stars in porn films.

His earliest recordings were released in 1994 on a compilation titled Concrete Roots. His debut solo album, The Chronic, was among the top-selling albums of the 1990s and spawned three hit singles. **End Summary** Topics: dr. dre producer Dr. Dre NWA jacsanrecords.com music down
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.

Playing guitar is an incredibly fun and rewarding hobby that never gets old. It is fun and rewarding, but it is important to pay attention to your wrists and hands to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis and other painful conditions.

It is a physical and mental skill as well as a creative one, and your body will take time to learn to create the sounds you can hear in your head. Playing guitar is as much about moving to a new position as holding down a chord.

It is artwork, therefore, you need to practice and perfect the craft. Playing guitar is never boring, you can always learn something new. It can be actually really easy, as long as your fingers are long enough, which is why it is one of the most popular instruments on the planet.

This is a much-loved hobby that both stimulates the mind and allows for individual expression. Playing guitar is a highly intellectual process and is an amazing skill to have. Playing guitar is an awesome release, a creative outlet and hey, it's just plain cool.

Observation Of The Trumphet

Trumpets are among the oldest musical instruments...dating back to at least 2000 BC. Notes are played by blowing into a mouthpiece known as a "fipple", which directs air towards a bladed edge, located at the big hole you'll see at the top of most whistles. Trumpet instruments come in a variety of designs.

Trumpet players are able to get an incredible variety of sounds partly due to the various mutes that are available for them. They are the most likely to play music demanding the use of a mute (often indicated by the words con sordini oravec sourdine in the score).

Players know when they've got a horn they like, know when it performs at a high level, and know especially if it has a sound and feel they like. Playing a trumpet is intimate and personal.

Trumpeters with great endurance and/or range are said to have impressive chops. Some believe that Wynton Marsalis has done things with his trumpet that Louis Armstrong couldn't even imagine in his day.

Players can be heard across nearly all genres of music, including classical, jazz, rock, pop, ska, polka, swing, blues and funk. **End Summary** Topics: trumphet trumpet players jazz trumpet players playing trumph
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How Music Elevates Spirituality

Spiritual music is music that elevates our consciousness and helps us to meditate. Thus, the discussion of how music elevates spirituality begins. Spiritual music communicates directly to the soul and affects us on a subtle and often unconscious level. This is music that has somewhat of the same sound, though it is usually described as music that reflects a spiritual belief.

This type of music can be a valuable aid to meditation and is a particular kind of music that helps in the establishment of divine bonds. It assists in the meditation, healing and relaxation of the soul.

Spiritual music offers pulses with global rhythm, sweet melodies and heartfelt devotion that invokes the heart and lifts the spirit. It is often composed by people who have already reached higher levels of spiritual upliftment who understand that music can be something that heals and soothes the heart and mind.

It is music that facilitates an easy way to inspire people to meditate; as music and religion are for the seekers, for the music-lovers, for the truth-servers because it can express and connect with the deepest parts of us and has been part of spirituality since the beginning of human culture. **End Summary** Topics: music elevates spirituality spiritual music jacsanrecords
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How to Relate to Jazz Artists

Jazz is a musical art form which originated at the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States from a confluence of African and European music traditions. Because of the continuing popularity of Jazz we explore it's history and how to relate to jazz artists.

Jazz music was, ultimately, the product of New Orleans' melting pot. These groups were formed by Italians, Creoles and all sorts of European immigrants. Jazz bands took the piano from ragtime, and the saxophone and trumpet from dance hall bands. This type of music was very much a continuation of blues music, except that it took advantage of the instruments of the marching band.

Jazz would eventually be assimilated by white pop music (from Broadway show tunes to Tin Pan Alley ballads) without causing any major upheaval. This became the unchallenged popular music of America during the Swing era of the 1930s and 1940s.

It was, indirectly, also another stage in the process of black assimilation of white musical styles, because jazz was founded on ragtime, and ragtime was fundamentally the grafting of European musical styles (such as marches and waltzes) onto West-African syncopated rhythms. **End Summary** Topics: jazz artists jazz music jazz musicians jacsanrecords.com son
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
Music For Our Hero Obama

Barack Obama is blessed with an amazing intellect, a charismatic spirit, and the wherewithal and drive to hone his skills to the highest level. Therefore, it was imperative that I compose music for our hero, Obama! A melody that came from within my spirit and heart inspired me to express my perception of his being through the song "Ode to Obama".

Obama tapped a yearning for change with racially neutral language that transcended distrust and helped unite the country to elect its first black president. Of course, this was a shocking phenomenon to the entire nation. Most African Americans were more than proud the moment Barack Obama was elected the first Black President of the United States of America. They saw that the 'impossible dream' had become, at last, a reality.

His election to office has instilled a sense of pride and self-esteem for all peoples across the world, regardless of race. Many are hoping for change to make a better world; whether it is to stop war, to be more environmentally friendly, or to love our neighbor as we love ourselves...to learn to love each other -- no matter the color of the skin. **End Summary** Topics: hero obama barack obama ode to obama Jacsan records songs
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
What Does Christmas Mean For All

Christmas means a joyful time of year, having fun with your family, spending time with your family, seeing all the beautiful lights, decorating the tree, eating all the food you can eat, celebrating the birth of Jesus and buying presents for other people. Traditionally, this is what Christmas means for all.

It is the season during which Christians everywhere give thanks to God the Father for the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is the church's celebration of the Incarnation, the supreme mystery that the holy and almighty God took on human flesh and was born in this world of the Virgin Mary.

A Christmas tree is the heart of Christmas celebration. Trees seem to have originated in medieval Germany and were used for a long period of time before we began to decorate them. Decorating any Christmas tree is a fun way to celebrate the holiday.

Trees are very important and have been worshiped before writing because of their symbiotic relationship with EVERYTHING around them. Christmas trees have been decorated since their origin in the 16th century Europe, first with edible treats. **End Summary** Topics: what christmas means christmas song jacsanrecords songs
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How to Begin Relating to Rap Music

Rap music is defined as "a form of rhythmic speaking in rhyme, usually from its culture and is and will continue to be the voice of today's Black generation. It simultaneously reflects the cultural evolution of the Black oral tradition. How to begin relating to rap music begins with understanding the language of the genre.

As you know, it is often full of examples of poetry terms. Rap and all other types of music artists use their music to express their views, opinions and feelings in their songs and is a fast evolving musical art form and contrary to much popular opinion, it is a musical genre.

It is a very beautiful, creative, and innovative musical genre which is neither superior nor inferior to any other genre of music because it is a distinct form of artistic expression. This type of music is not something that everyone understands so it is scary to those who are not familiar with the art form. The music mirrors what goes on in the urban American city and may be the ultimate oxymoron, while jazz is American classical music. **End Summary** Topics: relating to rap music rap music musical art form jacsanreco
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.

Playing a musical instrument for personal pleasure and release is a great way to go. You may be thinking about learning to play an instrument and wondering how to pick your musical instrument...one that will be most suitable for you.

Musical instruments, even electronic keyboards, will be an excellent investment. They come in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges and are fun for both children and adults of any age to play. Music is a valuable resource for children to learn different sounds and find their rhythm.

By going over the history and the various types of musical instruments available, you may get a better feel for the instrument that would be most pleasing for you to learn to play. They can represent the dream of everyone to be a star.

Musical instruments developed independently in many populated regions of the world. Many instruments existed in this form for thousands of years before patterns of three or more tones would evolve in the form of the earliest xylophone. **End Summary** Topics: how to pick musical instruments jacsanrecords download music
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How To Have The Music Play For Me

Music is not just a profession but a spiritual path. It is largely influenced by my life experiences both good and bad. Music is like oxygen, without it I would surely die. It is more like celebratory and light which comes to me as means of expressing thoughts and feelings. Deep and intimate details can somehow be put into a song, making a story public and yet private. These concepts I use in incorporating how to have music play for me.

Music is energy, coming out of a sound, going into the air, vibrating a body, hitting a chord, making a feeling, changing the insides. Music was like an alarm clock for me as a teenager and still keeps me awake and from falling asleep in the comforts of my freedom.

How Do You Feel A Love Song

A love song is just a caress set to music. They are often songs that are the best means to revive those feelings of a lost or current love. They are a fundamental part of pop music and culture and are typically, romantic ballads, but some are also about the darker side of infidelities and break-ups. How do YOU feel a love song? Do you let it caress you...

A love song is more like a love poem with the only difference of an addition of music with it. It is usually about falling in love and the happiness it brings.

This type of song in the first person are quite rare before the middle of the nineteenth century, but it is not known why this is. However, many believe that love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness where you are able to feel the warmth and beauty of the season embedded in the music of the song.

These songs are also a part of the wonderful tradition of stage and screen musicals which are part of our culture. **End Summary** Topics: feel a love song love songs jacsan records free music down
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How To Let Music Take You To Your Dream

Music is healing to the soul, and as you listen to it, understanding these concepts will show you how to let music take you to your dream. In your dream, you may be connected to the wonderful, creative spirit or flow of life suggesting a degree of inner harmony and emotional expression.

Music is about quality, and whether it's mainstream or underground is irrelevant because it is an art form whose medium is sound. In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was sound. Because sound created everything in the universe, music is an expression of harmony in sound.

According to a dream dictionary definition: Hearing harmonious and soothing music in your dream is a good omen of prosperity, pleasure and the expression of your emotions in a positive way. Further, seeing sheet music in your dream, represents sensuality and a desire for harmony, especially in some waking relationship.

I am not speaking literally of music taking you to your dream...but also in contrast, to allow music to elevate you towards your aspirations, desires, your natural environment and access to your soul as well. **End Summary** Topics: let music music take let music take music jacsanrecords
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
Is Music and Education Important

Music Education is an important part of every child's learning experience and is older than high schools sports, yet high school sports are increasing while music education may be soon demised.

Education, and particularly mandatory education, is an effective agent in the formation of an individual's tastes, preferences and value systems. Schools try to focus on the more important academic classes because of the high testing standards they must now meet.

However, music education is an important aspect of student growth and is not a luxury, but a necessity to all children. Music education is a broad-based discipline, using words and phrases from many areas of study, including psychology, sociology, physics, anatomy, philosophy, research, technology, and general education.

Music education is vital to a well-rounded education and is an investment of time, effort, and money, which can result in a lifetime of enjoying music. Music has the ability to facilitate language acquisition, reading readiness, and general intellectual development; to foster positive attitudes and to lower truancy in middle and high school; to enhance creativity; and to promote social development, personality adjustment, and self-worth.

Music also helps with math and science and also brings higher thinking to our children. **End Summary** Topics: music education music jansanrecords download music songs lyr
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
The Day of Rock & Roll Music

Rock 'n' roll (often written as rock & roll or rock 'n' roll) is a genre of popular music that evolved in the United States after World War II in the late 1940s from a combination of the rhythms of the blues, from the African American culture, and from America's country music and gospel music scenes.

Rock 'n' Roll started after the year 1955 and the genre emerged as a defined musical style in America in the 1950s, though elements of rock and roll can be seen in rhythm and blues records as far back as the 1920s.

Rock 'n' Roll, also called Rock, is a form of popular music, usually featuring vocals (often with vocal harmony backing), electric guitars and saxophone in the early days. Rock 'n' roll of the late 1950s relied heavily upon 12-bar blues and 32-bar song forms.

The music arrived at a time of considerable technological change, soon after the development of the electric guitar, amplifier and microphone, and the 45 rpm record. It did, however, have a greater emphasis on the backbeat than boogie woogie. **End Summary** Topics: roll music rock music popular music jacsanrecords music down
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
Examining the Genre of the Blues

The Blues is an impulse to keep the painful details and episodes of a brutal experience alive in one's aching consciousness, to finger its jagged grain, and to transcend it, not by the consolation of philosophy but by squeezing from it a near-tragic, near-comic lyricism.

Blues is the name given to both a musical form and a music genre created within the African-American communities in the Deep South of the United States at the end of the 19th century from spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads.

It is a form of Afro-American origin in which a modal melody has been harmonized with Western tonal chords and has evolved from an unaccompanied vocal music and oral traditions of African-American slaves (imported from West Africa; principally present day Mali, Senegal, the Gambia and Ghana) and rural blacks into a wide variety of styles and sub-genres, with regional variations across the United States. Blues music also adopted elements from the "Ethiopian airs", minstrel shows and Negro spirituals, including instrumental and harmonic accompaniment. **End Summary** Topics: blues music american music american music form jacsanrecords
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How To Know When To Use A Vocal Coach

To help you know whether or not you should use a vocal coach, let's define their duties: A vocal coach is a music teacher who instructs singers on how to improve their singing technique, take care of and develop their voice, and prepare for the performance of a song or other work.

Vocal coaches are used in both classical music and in popular music styles such as rock and gospel. While some vocal coaches provide a range of instruction on singing techniques, others specialize in areas such as breathing techniques or diction and pronunciation.

They may give private music lessons to singers, or they may coach singers who are rehearsing on stage, or who are singing during a recording session. Lessons might be held in a studio, a school, at the voice teacher's home or perhaps even at your home (for which you should expect to pay more).

Vocal coaches are great for being objective observers, and since they know music, they'll be more than willing to critique your style. They are most often contacted privately, though members of local singing groups, acting troupes and school music teachers generally know of vocal coaches willing to take on new students. **End Summary** Topics: vocal coach vocal coaches singing technique singing lessons
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
Exploring The Generation Of A Sound

If we look through the history of music, it has become the soundtrack of every moment in human beings evolution. The generation of a sound plays a major role in music as applied to musical instruments.

It is one of the oldest cultures human beings know and has brought the touch and making the event felt much deeper in life. It has changed much over the course of the last several hundreds of years.

Music prior to 1600 was modal rather than tonal, While music after 1600, beginning with the tonal music of the Baroque era, is often referred to as belonging to the common practice period. Going forward, today performances have become increasingly visual with the broadcast and recording of music videos and concerts.

Music videos created a large audience responding to the same visual ideas the way moviegoers do, but now as a supplement to the special meanings and rhythms that the different styles of popular music offer. Music of all kinds also became increasingly portable.

Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. **End Summary** Topics: sound brass instruments generate sound instruments generate
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
Explaining The Hip Hop And Rap Music Genre

Hip hop music is part of hip hop culture, which began in the Bronx, in New York City in the 1970s, primarily among African Americans and Latin Americans, with considerable Jamaican influence. (two other elements are breakdancing and graffiti art).

The music may be based around either live or produced music, with a clearly defined drum beat (almost always in 4/4 time signature), presented either with or without vocal accompaniment.

Hip hop music was an outlet and a "voice" for disenfranchised youth as the culture reflected the social, economic and political realities of their lives. The music was popular there at least as far back as the late 1970s.

The first Philadelphia hip hop record was "Rhythm Talk," by Jocko Henderson in 1979, and the New York Times dubbed Philadelphia the "Graffiti Capital of the World" in 1971.

Rap is mostly influenced by hip hop. You can say that hip hop is synonymous with rap. As rap is all rhythm, very little melody, and virtually no harmony and is generally written by the younger generation for the younger generation -- providing a universal voice for the young. **End Summary** Topics: hip hop music music genre rap music genre rap music jacsanre
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.

Folk Music, Folk Song and Folk Dance are comparatively recent expressions, being extensions of the term Folk lore, coined in 1846 by the English antiquarian William Thoms to describe "the traditions, customs, and superstitions of the 'uncultured' classes." The Anatomy of Folk music begins here.

Folk music is found in many of the world's societies, and it exists in different guises and under a variety of social and cultural conditions. It is said to be the music of largely rural, untutored masses in societies where an educated, economic, political, as well as musical elite also exists, the music of the latter, by contrast, is called "classical" or "art" music.

Folk music lyrics are sung, spoken or rapped and communicated orally and passed down from one generation to the next in oral tradition. Music lyrics are made up of meaningful words and phrases that reflect current events of the culture.

This genre is normally affected by the art music of nearby cultural centers (for example, cities, courts, monasteries), and it frequently functions as a kind of cultural backwater that retains characteristics of older art music for long periods.

It is played or sung by ordinary people (not professional musicians). **End Summary** Topics: folk music music lyrics folk music lyrics folk music educati
About the Author:
JJackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
How Music Dances With Me

Music has evolved along with man and it's civilization. It takes us to that place in our minds where we reflect on many memories. It's only wish is the well-being of all mankind and it is a way in which I describe how music dances with me.

When I sense nature and experience the reflection of the sun upon my face; when I listen to the melodic sound of a bird's song, feel the wind brush through my hair, inhale the scent of a delicate rose, or feel the wonderful sensation of a hot springs mineral bath, it is all a chorus of music that dances within. For every expression is only but a dance of the music that plays out my experience.

Music and sound is a language that moves beyond words and touches deep within the crevices of our cellular and energy blueprint, allowing a dance within itself. It is a cosmic dance that strums a universal melody.

Just as love is a merger with an individual, a deep intimacy of two hearts--so deep that the two hearts start dancing in the same harmony. **End Summary** Topics: music dances cosmic dance mating dance jacsanreocrds.com mus
About the Author:
JJackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
Historical Elements Of The Flute

The flute is the oldest musical instrument to be firmly dated. The flute's earliest probable history dates back to approximately 900 B.C. They are the earliest known musical instruments and is one among the three celebrated musical instruments of India (the other two are veena and mridanga).

Flutes are of different kinds and their lengths and number of holes vary. Flutes in the baroque and early classical periods had few keys. It is a musical instrument of the woodwind group and has also always been an essential part of Indian culture and mythology. The cross flute, believed by several accounts, to originate in India as Indian literature from 1500 BCE has made vague references to the cross flute.

It made it's first appearance in Europe after having been a favorite instrument in India and China. Todays flute, thanks to Boehm, born in 1794, the son of a goldsmith, is responsible for the flute of today.

The flute is made in the form of an open cylindrical air column about 66 cm long and has a series of 16 openings in the tube wall, 11 of which can be closed directly by seven fingers and one by the left thumb. **End Summary** Topics: flute woodwind instrument musical instrument flute history
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
The Historical Elements Of The Mariachi

The Mariachi was the distinctive version of the Spanish theatrical orchestra of violins, harp and guitars which developed in and around Jalisco. It originated in the southern part of the state of Jalisco sometime in the 19th century.

The mariachi is the sum of a cultural evolution that has taken place over the last century or so in Mexico. It is native to a region of western Mexico that includes what are today the states of Jalisco, Nayarit, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Michoacan, and Colima; extending as far north as Sinaloa and Durango and as far south as Guerrero.

The band is Mexico's only true surviving folkloric ensemble. They often help celebrate the great moments in the lives of the Mexican people. The mariachi band is used for many different occasions, such as dances, weddings, and funerals.

The mariachi tradition, as it is practiced in Mexico, is one of male dominance; and the mariachi band contains the following parts: the violins and vocals are the top voice, the rhythm section is the harmony, and the guitarrón is the bass (like the baroque "basso continue"). The mariachi violinists play the melody, or song line, in a particular way. **End Summary** Topics: mariachi mariachi band historical elements mariachi harp
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
When exploring health and music we must consider Music therapy.
The Music Of The Oldies Genre

Oldies music celebrates the history, trivia and charts of the music of the fifties, sixties and seventies. It is still alive and well. In fact, many rap artists use oldies as their background music while the rapper sings his lyrics over the oldie song...which is called sampling.

Oldies is a generic term commonly used in the United States and Canada to describe a radio format that usually concentrates on Top 40 music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Oldies stations as we know them today did not really come into existence until the early 1970s.

The music also overlaps with classic rock which focuses on the rock music of the late 1960s and 1970s as well as newer music in a similar style. The songs are typically from the R&B, pop and rock music genres but may also include country, movie soundtrack, novelty, and other types of popular music from around 1950-on. **End Summary** Topics: oldies oldies music oldies genre rock music genres jacsanrec
About the Author:
Jackie Spivey is the Author of this Article.
