Heads Won Yet Again In This Trading Game, Are You First In Line?

One of Britain's biggest news papers made it official this week. The front page proudly
pronounced in bold letters: The recession is over.

The news as always is full of biased comments loaded with emotions of pride, fear and plain arrogance, and a total lack of balanced evaluation of facts. If the latest news is to be believed the FOOTSIE, DOW and NASDAQ will rise to new highs very soon. Forgotten is the pain of only a few months ago, it seems and we will all happily live ever after.

I am a trader and investor and if I have learned one thing in my life it is this: Investing and trading brings out all our weak points, and believe me, we all have them.

Blindly following media reports and allowing their talk to influence your investment and trading decisions can be a costly mistake, as many traders will only know to well.

Typically, when the media announces the end of a cycle, it is time to be extra careful. It is a little like reading signs on the motorway every few miles announcing: "Fog, drive slowly", when you have already driven for miles with zero visibility. **End Summary** Topics: traders investors trading trading psychology trading mastery EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in trading and investment psychology and manifestation techniques.
The Path To Freedom Begins With Self Awareness

You are probably totally unaware how much awareness of yourself and your world, or should I say, lack of awareness affects your life and the outcomes you are creating. For most of us life unfolds lacking direction because we have not yet learned to control and direct our inner world, or thoughts consciously.

Success in life depends on your ability to be happy with life; and your ability to be happy with your lot depends to a large extend on the way you see the world. How you see your world is dependant upon your level of development, or I could also say your cognitive awareness.

Yet, paradoxically enough, most of us do whatever we can to STOP our growth, instead of doing the things that would help us to move on in our lives.

We cling to the old status quo, even when we know that our present circumstances are not making us happy, let alone create solutions to our many predicaments.

Some of us have invented amazingly complex coping mechanisms to manipulate our conscious minds into believing the old fairy tales with which we keep indoctrinating ourselves non stop. **End Summary** Topics: self awareness financial freedom trading eft Buddhism positive psychology
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in trading and investment psychology and manifestation techniques.
Why Financial Freedom Is Key To Spiritual Enlightenment

I place great importance on the subject of financial freedom. My personal tool of choice to accomplish this is trading since in my reality it is the fastest and most fascinating way to create the financial independence I desire and at the same time have the time to do the other things I enjoy. The markets are also the perfect teacher of life, since they mirror the collective consciousness, and the sentiments of individuals and thus human nature.

I want to explain to you today why I place such emphasis on money, something which many a so called enlightened guru would tell us is utterly unimportant in the big scheme of things. Well, I strongly beg to differ. In the final analysis of course everything is unimportant in the bigger scheme of things.

Eternal growth is the nature of evolution. As we evolve the things that once held great importance begin to become less important as we grow and add new experiences to the canvas we call life and have more choice. **End Summary** Topics: financial freedom financial worries financial independence self awareness spiritual growth trading
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in trading and investment psychology and manifestation techniques.
Learn To Ask The Right Questions And Achieve Your Goals Faster

Yes, it is true, ask and it will be given. The trouble though is this: Most of us do not know how to ask correctly.

Let me explain why this is so. Your mind is a wonderful tool. It will get you everything you want if you use it correctly. The reason why most of us have trouble achieving our goals is to do with our conditioning which functions predominantly on auto pilot. Most of us operate within a very small field of our conscious awareness. The main decisions are made without your conscious knowledge by your subconscious mind.

As a result most of us sometimes get what we want and at other times we don't get what we want. The entire process is rather hit and miss. Affirmations are good, but they will not help you with the achievement of your goals when your subconscious mind has programs running which are in direct conflict with your goals. **End Summary** Topics: setting goals self awareness achieve goals manifestation financial freedom goal setting
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in trading and investment psychology and manifestation techniques.
Electro Magnetic Radiation, Affects Us All, Here Is Why

Over the last 20 years I have done a lot of research into geopathic stress and electro magnetic fields. What started out initially as solely geopathic stress research merged into research into electro magnetic radiation and the evidence of dangers to our physical and emotional health which I observe daily in my work is very worrying.

First lets look at a few brief facts

Geopathic stress is a naturally occurring phenomenon and is largely caused by cavities in the earth's mantle where subterranean water is flowing, earth faults and made worse through human activities, like mining, underground cabling, building work and similar.

Electro magnetic field radiation is the result of the extensive use of all manner of electronic equipment and wi-fi technology widely used in offices, schools and most private homes.

Geopathic stress has been steadily on the increase for many years and it took me a while to realise what's happening: The increased use of electronic equipment is putting pressure on the earth's mantle and appears to be increasing geopathic stress. Very often when electro magnetic radiation is high, often due to new telecommunication masts springing up in the neighbourhood geopathic stress levels suddenly zoom up. **End Summary** Topics: electro magnetic radiation EMR EMF geopathic stress sick building syndrome chronic illness A.D.D.
About the Author:
Learn more about electro magnetic radiation and geopathic stress.
The Reality Of Personal Growth. From Baby Steps To Enlightenment

The true nature of personal growth is seldom spoken about. In this article I want to explain how it feels when you go through the different stages of growth and the meaning of spirituality as I have come to experience it after many years of working on myself.

If you are committed to working on your personal growth you will sooner or later enter unknown territory as you transit from one developmental level to the next. Many a time you will uncover shadows from unresolved early life trauma, you did not even know you had, which makes the transition from one level to the next more involved and challenging.

Yet few professionals or gurus have the experience and knowledge to tell you about what really is going on, or are simply unwilling to be totally honest with you. I believe that you should have as good an understanding as possible about what it is like when you decide to take personal growth into your own hands. This knowledge will prepare you for the journey into the unknown. **End Summary** Topics: self awareness personal development personal growth emlightenment trading expand awareness trading
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in trading and investment psychology and manifestation techniques.
The Truth About Personal Growth, Are You Ready For It?

Naturally, everyone wants to feel good. When our lives are not working we tend to turn to personal development in search for answers. Nothing wrong with this concept, however very few realise what is involved of you are serious about accelerating your personal growth.

Working on your personal growth will sooner or later lead you into unknown territory as you transit from one developmental level to the next.

To get from where you are now to the profound understanding that you will always be searching and that there will never be an end point or an end to life's challenges and to let that be okay takes time, but it can be done. The ultimate goal of any personal development journey is knowing that you can let things be as they are and not feel too bad even about the things you do not like. This insight will give you an edge and inner strength as yet unknown to you.

So why is personal development so challenging?

After all personal growth is natural. Everyone does it all the time. Your development starts from the moment you are conceived and continues until you die. **End Summary** Topics: self awareness personal development personal growth trading expand awareness trading psychology
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in trading and investment psychology and manifestation techniques.
Why Profitable Trading And Investing Is So Difficult

You know the statistics: Only 5% of all traders are successful and only 5% of all investors retire rich. Add to that the fact that 90% of all new traders will leave their new career within 8 to 10 weeks the question has to be asked: Why is trading and investing so difficult?

Here are several reasons: Particularly the novice and wannabe trader or investor underestimate what they have to learn and what kind of person they have to become in order to be successful. There is a total lack of understanding of market psychology and how cycles work and there is an assumption that anyone with a brain can trade.

Most traders and investors either act out of the need to get rich quick. In order to achieve this goal they follow standard conventional behaviour. However trading and investing do not follow conventional rules. Often you are required to go against conventional belief systems and this poses many inner conflicts that lead to losses.

New traders often follow a trading guru who promises fantastic returns. **End Summary** Topics: Trading investing trader investor self awareness stop loss cycle analysis trading strategy EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in investment and trading psychology and manifestation techniques.
Change Is Good, You Go First

By now a blind man with a stick can see it, the world as we know it is changing. Yet there are still those who believe that the worst of the stock market crash is over. However, when you look at the fundamentals there is little evidence to support this view other than wishful thinking.

Of course most of us hate change and the associated chaos. Who wants to live with the uncertainty when the turmoil that always accompanies change is already wreaking havoc with your routine and stretches your mental resources to the limit.

Change means having to give up things. Well, we are not very good at that either. It is a well known fact that we will even suffer unpalatable situations rather than entertain change. We stay in relationships which are unsatisfactory because we believe it is better to be with the devil you know than the devil you don't know. We put up with bad jobs from a need for security and we stay in investments for years instead of getting out on the top, believing that stocks always come back.

Wake up my friends, this time really is different. **End Summary** Topics: cycles universal cycles economic cycles self awareness paradigm shift fundamentals
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach specialising in investment and trading psychology and manifestation techniques.
Why Cognitive Behaviour Techniques Could Improve Your Trading Beyond Your Wildest Dreams

If you are an experienced trader or investor you will know that mastery is a mind game. In fact, trading and investing are about understanding crowd psychology and your own psychology, because when you fully understand how you react to events deemed to be outside of your control you are taking control of yourself.

This very simple fact is easy to write about, and I have written about it a lot, yet putting the theory into practice is quite a different matter. Particularly in the recent market turmoil the emotions and consequently the trading strategies of even many seasoned traders have been pushed to their limits.

The reason for this is also equally simple, yet most traders or investors lack the innate understanding of universal laws and how to apply them to get the results they are after. You see, we insist on seeing everything through the eyes of separation. We believe that we can observe events with clear beginnings and clear endings.

For example many market analysts compare this bear market with the bear market of 1929. They put time and price delineations in their analysis and believe that this will priduce an accurate model for future market moves. **End Summary** Topics: Crowd psychology cognitive behaviour therapy market turmoil trading investing trader investor EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is an experienced human development coach and expert in investment and trading psychology.

It is a known fact when times get difficult and we experience challenges in our lives we tend go back into the past in the search for answers.

Cycle analysis looks to forecast the future by looking at the past. There is the belief that what has worked in the past will work again in the future. Up to a certain degree this is true, but ultimately going back in time for answers is a very simplistic way of going about things and does not stand the test of time very well. In fact it is almost like refusing to go with the evolutionary flow of your existence.

Most financial experts get it wrong because they focus with their analysis on the past. In order to understand what goes on in your life and in the financial markets you need to have an understanding of how universal laws operate.

Things will work until they stop working. This may be an obvious statement, but let's look a little deeper here. Behind this statement hides one of life's fundamental laws, namely the law of evolution. Our life is continuously evolving. Nothing ever stands still. **End Summary** Topics: trading psychology EFT cycle analysis self awareness fear anxiety trader financial freedom investmen
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach and expert in investment and trading psychology.
Could Trading Make You A Living In These Uncertain Times?

Trading is one of the fastest ways to make money. If you can trade persistently profitably you will be in the top 5 percent of people, because an amazing 95 percent of traders fail. The main reason is not their trading system but their psychology. Unless you have the right trading mind set you will fail faster then you ever imagined possible.

I know from personal hard earned experience that the best trading system will not make you money if your psychology is not right. In the other hand a very mediocre system will make money.
in the hands of a skilled and disciplined trader who has the right mind set for trading.

So the message is clear: If you think that you want to make a successful living from trading you should work on your psychology first. This means that you want to make sure that you have what it takes to be a profitable trader and if your self analysis shows that you have not got it and you still believe that trading is for you fix your shortcomings.

Here are a number of questions you need to ask yourself:

What is your main reason for trading? **End Summary** Topics: trading performance trading psychology trader trading profitably learning to trade happiness EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach and expert in investment and trading psychology.

I think it is time to step back and consider a few eternal home truths as we are going through this major transitional phase in our world. It is easy to lose sight of the essentials in life. We lose the ability to be happy and the trust that we can create the lives we want when we become immersed in our worries and live our suppressed fears. We are totally forgetting that fear and panic are just the other side of the same coin.

Duality is the means through which this universe manifests itself. It is the means that allows us to see the kaleidoscope of the world unfolding in all its limitless possibilities. I have said it before and I will say it again: The onslaught of negative news emanating from the media is not only unhelpful, feeding a roller coaster of panic but it also ignores the fundamental law of our existence: Duality.

Nothing is ever all negative. It just is impossible. If you only see the negative, you are being swayed along with the media mania and the collective consciousness that is in a trance unwittingly self induced through lack of self awareness and subsequent ignorance. **End Summary** Topics: happiness happy happy relationships happy life expand consciousness self awareness fear panic
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.
How To Pursue Financial Happiness

Yes, Happiness does have a lot to do with money, because in order to live you have to have money. Money is the means of exchange that makes your dreams come true. There is no getting away from this fact.

Without money you will starve or at best live off the government on the bred line. This is hardly the way to pursue happiness since it will do very little for your self esteem.

Happiness, and this includes financial happiness comes from planning and controlling all aspects of your life. For instance, trading is one of the fastest ways to make a lot of money, and also one of the fastest ways to lose it. However, many people dream of the part time career of trading while doing the things they really enjoy. This is all very well, but unless you treat trading like a business, or a job you will fail before you succeed.

So if trading is your preferred way to riches you had better enjoy the financial markets. If you view it purely as a means for an income you may well fail and you certainly won't be happy. **End Summary** Topics: financial freedom pursuit of happiness trading investment psychology financial success success EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach and expert in investment and trading psychology.
The New Anatomy Of Risk From A Buddhist View

The financial world is upside down and by now even a blind man with a stick should be able to see it. I have been involved with trading the markets for many years and am well versed with the psychology of trading and investing. It is a fact that there are still an amazing number of people who believe that the present situation can be easily remedied and that we are at the end of the down cycle.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in my analysis that says that we are anywhere near an end of this down cycle and this has major consequences for the risk policy of your portfolio. Today's bear market is very different from the thirties. It is dangerous to compare what's happening at present with the crisis of 80 years ago.

Yes. it is true, cycles repeat themselves, but never ever in the same way. The internals of today's bear market are very different from the thirties, the seventies or the eighties down turn.

An entirely new psychology is evolving amidst the ongoing market turmoil. This major transition will inevitably change the fabric of the western world, there is no getting away from this fact. **End Summary** Topics: Risk trading psychology investment psychology risk strategy investment portfolio cycle analysis
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach and expert in investment and trading psychology.

You are what you think and that goes for your finances too. I have been working with mind control techniques for nearly 10 years now and one of the biggest things I learned in time is this: It always comes back to how you think.

You see, your mind is actually deceptively simple. In fact, its basic operating system is so simple that it is almost scary. The problem most of us have is that we do not understand how to effectively use the system, hence we are creating results we do not want.

This fact has become particularly obvious in the recent credit crunch and the wide spread panic as people are reacting to the bad news across the globe featured in depth on TV, radio and the newspapers. Hardly an hour goes by without another big story breaking. Fact is bad news is read more widely then good news. ANd here is your problem,

Your mind always gets you what you want. There is no exception to this rule. If you focus on worry, that is precisely what you get. **End Summary** Topics: financial freedom wealth make money prosperity investment psychology money worries
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is an expert in investment and trading psychology.

Could Buddhism Teach You Something About Trading And Investing?

At first glance there seem to be few parallels between Buddhism and your trading and investing strategies, but is that really so? If you look beneath the surface a very different picture starts to evolve.

Traditionally we go through life viewing events, like market action as something that happens outside of ourselves and as something on which we have little or no influence.

We have neat little boxes for all those events with their clear beginnings and endings. This thinking, which is part of the old paradigm is essentially incorrect and has lead to a flawed view of reality. When your view of reality is skewed everything in your life will be affected, including your trading and investment strategies.

We know that things have a habit to work until they stop working. This principle, which is an integral facet of evolution has plaid out with frightening ferocity in recent months in the financial markets. A roller coaster of transition and change has taken over while the entire financial system is cleansing itself of old outdated habits and is trying to establish a new consensus. **End Summary** Topics: trading psychology investing investment strategy trading strategy trading system Buddhist trader
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach and author. Her brand new book <a href="http://www.eftmindpower.com/Trading_Psychology_The_Buddhist_Trader_3.asp">

Is Procrastination Stopping Your From Attaining Financial Freedom?

Procrastination and worry are a curse that befall many of us. You may not even be aware that you have fallen into this trap because procrastination comes in many guises. I am a very pro-active person. If I told you that I used to procrastinate you would laugh at the idea, if you knew me. You see, I love trading the stock market. I am always active, always thinking up new ideas of making money or creating techniques that may improve one's money luck.

Alas, when it comes to the execution of these ideas I would often freeze, just like a rabbit in the headlights of a motorcar. I would find thousands of reasons why I could not implement the new ideas. Some of the reasons were plausible and some were plain ridiculous. This went on for years until one day I woke up to the game I was playing.

To my great shock and horror I realised that my rather lacklustre results in trading and in many other areas of my life were caused by my pervasive procrastination. Fear of failure, fear of doing the wrong thing and fear of taking responsibility were the main catalysts for this pattern. **End Summary** Topics: financial freedom procrastination pracrastinating procrastinate money luck poverty consciousness EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a well known human development coach and author.
The Man On Top Of The Mountain Did Not Fall There...

Well, that is pretty obvious, I guess. For everyone knows that in order to get to the top of the mountain you will have to either walk, climb, or have a helicopter drop you off. In other words, some form of action will be required from you. No action, no results. That's all there is to it.

However, many of us find it difficult to take action. particularly when the mood is low and negative, and everything seems like hard work. Well, we live in a dualistic universe and no matter how much you try to only see the bright side, there are times when this is simply not possible. After all, when you feel down, you only know about it because you know what it is like to be happy. You only know that you do not have enough money, because you know what it is like to have enough and you only know what being healthy is like if you have experienced both health and being unwell.

You may not like it but the above are just facts of our existence. **End Summary** Topics: procrastination financial freedom procrastinate expand awareness depression cognitive awareness EFT
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a well known human development coach and author. Her book

Five Minutes To Financial Freedom? Yes, It Can Be Done, Here Is How

If you are sceptical about bold claims like the above I don't blame you. You are probably wondering how anyone can get themselves out of a financial mess which probably took many years to get into? Your scepticism is justified, but wrong.

Let me explain: When you do not make headway with financial issues it is not so much due to outside circumstances that are out of your control, but something you are doing inside of your head that makes you miss opportunities or go for the wrong jobs, or business partners. Your mind will lead you to doing the wrong things. This is the bottom line in a nutshell.

So let us hone in a bit more: If you have money problems, you are consistently doing something or even several things that stop you from breaking out of the poverty trap or just moving on to the next level. Maybe for you this means getting rid of the mortgage and credit card bills, building residual income or retiring with a decent amount of capital.

Yes, you can still do all of these things, even in this climate. **End Summary** Topics: financial freedom poverty consciousness money problems poverty trap money luck financial abundance
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.

Much has been talked about the power of saying yes and your ability to be open to new thinking. This is all well and good, but the universe acts like a bourse of exchange. In order to receive you must also be able to let go. Letting go is a challenge and very few of us rise to it.

Particularly in our western culture it is frowned upon to refuse a favour or to decline an invitation. Social norm has it that you must be following the conventional norm blindly or risk being labelled as rude and worse still shunned by your peers as an undesirable outcast.

It is of course well documented that people thrive better, are healthier and live longer when they are actively engaged in small communities. The anonymity of city life is the partial cause of many behavioural problems, including depression. It goes without saying that depressed people will not be good members of any society and are unable to make worthwhile contributions, let alone perform in peak states, be this in their work or relationships. **End Summary** Topics: inner strength assertive energy vampires HUNA aka cords happiness success
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.
Use This Key To Unlock Your Creative Problem Solving Skills

You are what you think and your thoughts make your world. It really does not come any simpler than that. Alas, do you really know your thoughts and how they arise?

Can you truthfully say that you know which beliefs and values are your own and which ones you have inadvertently inherited through conditioning? You had better find out, because this knowledge will help you to solve problems quickly and creatively.

Maybe, you never examined your beliefs and values deeply. Most of us have not. When you do, you may be in for a big surprise. You will discover that the many thoughts, beliefs and behaviours you cherished as yours belong to someone else. This is what normally happens when people take steps to discover their authentic selves on the way to finding more effective and creative problem solving techniques.

It is hard to be honest with oneself. In fact, it is probably fair to say that it is the most difficult thing to do out of all the challenges we face on the path of personal growth. Somehow, we are scared of digging too deep. It feels uncomfortable and we are scared about what we may find. **End Summary** Topics: self actualisation solve problems creative problem solving EFT Micro EFT energy psychology true self
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.

When you look at well known successful people, like Bill Harris, James Ray or Anthony Robbins, to name but a few one just sees the icing of the success cake. These people, like many others have arrived at the pinnacle of their careers through two things: Working with solid determination towards their goals and finding out in the process those things that work and those which do not.

You never see how Anthony Robbins has a team of people around him now who build him up so that he can appear in front of his audience always full of the amazing energy we have all have come to appreciate and admire about him.

Anthony Robbins, like Bill Harris and James Ray have all been close to bankruptcy too, as they will readily tell you. In fact, these were the defining moments when they turned their lack of success around and became the people we see now.

Much has been written about the hallmarks of successful people and you already know that your mind set is a vital pre-requisite to becoming successful and ultimately happy. **End Summary** Topics: meditation successful people practice acceptance tonglen EFT Micro EFT lasting happiness
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.
Light Your Inner Candle And Dissolve Your Fears

The Buddha said: Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared"

Happiness increases 10 fold when it is shared. If you are familiar with Dr. David Hawkin's work you will know that when our energy calibration rises our field of influence rises too.

Increasing self awareness will open your mind to realising just how susceptible you are to environmental influences. This begins with the constant barrage from the media to which you are exposed, if you allow yourself to be. Since this process is subconscious, by the time you realise just how fed up you are with the negative sentiment around you and that it makes you feel fearful and depressed, the balance of momentum has swung against you. In other words, at this stage it becomes much harder to shake off the emotional trauma and lift your spirits out of the ashes and watch with detachment how the world creates its own self fulfilling demise by its own uncontrolled thinking. **End Summary** Topics: The Buddha dissolve fears core fears happiness energy psychology profound change cognitive awareness
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.
Three Ways To Improve Your Relationship

So, your partner or spouse is difficult, and you are more aware than ever that your love life is lacking, you feel unappreciated and are getting desperate for those loving touches that make all the difference. You crave nurturing, a little romance and emotional security with a partner who is emotional mature. Reasonable desires for sure, alas the reality of relationships is often very different.

It seems that holidays have an uncanny habit of highlighting all the parts in our relationships that need working on. If this sounds like you ask yourself this question. Could your dissatisfaction be a general call to action to work on your own stuff?

You may even feel a sense of urgency here and wonder if this is the time round it us time to make amends or break up for good. Maybe you feel that you can't take any more. Yes, holiday periods have that effect on shaky relationships. so what to do for the best?

Just how do you know if enough is really enough or if you are just overreacting to the pressures of life and are piling these pressures on your already emotionally overstretched spouse.

Ask yourself another poignant question. **End Summary** Topics: heal relationship improve relationship relationship trouble difficult partner difficult spouse
About the Author:
Mercedes Oestermann van Essen is a human development coach, energy therapist and author.
