Your Hollywood ‘TOP 100’ List

You can’t possibly thank them all, but there’s an after-party and they will all be there. You’ll embrace each one, thank them personally. Without them, this special night would never have happened. Who are they ? Your TOP 100 is a list of those very people who will play a seminal role in your success in the future. Your future begins as soon as you make them a part of your present.

In any other industry, your ‘Top 100 List’ (aka your ‘Dream 100 List’) might be called your ‘best buyer’ or ‘best ally’ strategy. You want to be clear on your criteria for putting someone on your TOP 100 list, because these are the people you will focus on and succeed in making a part of your professional circle and conversation.

There’s a precise system for researching and identifying, then segregating into your ‘A’ list and your ‘B’ list, those who belong on the Top 100 list for you and your project, but I’ll leave that for another discussion.

Your list will grow to include a smart and diverse mix of talents to suit your long-term goals. **End Summary** Topics: movie producer success secrets screenwriting Hollywood Gary
About the Author:
Gary Goldstein is a top rated hollywood movie producer !
Success Secrets - A Few Thoughts For Your Reading Pleasure

The astonishing success of my seminar amazed even me. The amount of hands-on, concrete simple strategies I was able to squeeze into that course, and the amount of real-world traction people experienced in just over a handful of weeks exceeded my every hope and expectation.

It was so jam-packed, I had to add two additional Q+A sessions to insure everyone’s questions got 100% answered. And that was on top of the usual hour of Q+A at the end of every week’s regular class. The content, questions and group mastermind elements were unimaginably energetic and value-laden.

The seminar ended the week before Xmas and, over the phone and via an outpouring of emails, the group was clearly disappointed for the course to come to an end. These few dozen completely committed writers and producers participated every week from Canada, Australia, all over the U.S. I’ll continue to mentor quite a few.

The best part: I consistently receive emails delivering more incredibly good news - real world results – from quite a few of the screenwriters and producers in the course. **End Summary** Topics: movie producer success secrets business coaching Gary
About the Author:
Gary Goldstein is a top rated hollywood movie producer ! IN CONVERSATION WITH GARY GOLDSTEIN

How did you get your first feature made?

Every problem or obstacle is merely an opportunity in disguise, and that was certainly true when the WGA (Writers Guild of America) went on strike in 1988. That strike lasted the better part of a year, inflicted grievous harm – economic and otherwise – not only on the Hollywood production communities of film and television, but on the economies of Los Angeles and California.

During that time, most everyone was in the grip of fear, not able to work, not able to generate income or move their projects forward. **End Summary** Topics: movie producer success secrets business coaching.
About the Author:
Gary Goldstein is a top rated hollywood movie producer !
What is the Future of Film ?

A couple of hundred folks gathered for the day at the Sheraton Delfina Hotel in Santa Monica, California, for an intensive assessment of the health, the shifting sands – trends both good and bad – and, ultimately, the future of the film business.

Where have we come from, where are we today, where will we likely be in one year and beyond ?

The event producers – Variety and DigitalMediaWire – brought together a ‘who’s who’ of the film industry as speakers and panelists. The dais boasted a steady stream of thought leaders and success stories in Hollywood. Rick Nicita, Bill Block, Michael London, Paula Wagner, Ashok Amritraj and Oren Peli (writer/director of “Paranormal Activity”) were among the many luminaries..

The sessions ran the gamut, from the technological revolution now convulsing the entertainment industry (who will be the winners and who will be the losers), ‘game changers’ (how new Hollywood players are changing the business as we know it), new finance models, the next wave of mobile film and video entertainment, how international markets are shifting the business, as well as a dealmakers’ roundtable. **End Summary** Topics: movie producer success secrets business coaching
About the Author:
Gary Goldstein is a top rated hollywood movie producer !
A Licensing Primer For Photographers

When most people think of what a photographer does, they just think about taking pictures. A photographer has many more responsibilities. He must pose subjects, create suitable lighting, know how to work with many different types of equipment, develop photographs, and choose the best shots for framing and other purposes. Photographers should be able to make a great deal of money for their talents, but the expense of purchasing equipment and supplies, plus other costs associated with photography, mean that many photographers barely break even. There is one way that photographers can make more money, and that is through licensing. Licensing is the transfer of copyright, in whole or in part, from one party to another. Both parties benefit in some way from entering into a licensing agreement. When a photographer licenses his work to another person or company, the photographer is the licensor and the person or company is the licensee. When licensing the use of a photograph to another party, the photograph can make the license exclusive or non-exclusive. An exclusive license limits how the photographer can further use the work. A non-exclusive license gives the photographer the right to license the work to other parties. **End Summary** Topics: Movie Producer Success Secrets Screenwriter Screenwriting
About the Author:
Gary Goldstein is author, speaker and Hollywood movie producer .
Promoting Your Talents With Creative Commons Licenses

Most software programmers, photographers, game developers, and artists use licensing as a means of generating additional income from their hard work. Because the expenses associated with these pursuits often leave technical and creative professionals without a lot of revenue, licensing is usually done as a way to make additional money. However, there is one way that licensing is used that is more for promotional purposes than for income generation purposes. Many creative professionals are now allowing members of the public to download their works, but use them in a limited manner, through Creative Commons licenses. Create Commons licenses take into account the basics of copyright law, but offer a way for users and creators to balance their needs. Instead of creators maintaining all control lest they be taken advantage of, Creative Commons licensing allows creators to dictate how users can use their works. This gives users a means of using the works of other people without forcing the creators to give up all of their copyrights. Most people think of licensed Creative Commons works as being online. Many of these licensed works are found online, but offline works can also be licensed under the Creative Commons. **End Summary** Topics: Movie Producer Success Secrets Screenwriter Screenwriting
About the Author:
Gary Goldstein is author, speaker and Hollywood movie producer .
