"Please, help me save my marriage." This could be the first thing that you told your best friend whom you wanted to share your problems with. Of course, your best bud could help you come up with a few solutions. However, not all of these are enough to save your marriage. If you are presently experiencing a tough phase in your domestic relationship, try reading different resources about the process of saving a marriage. Start communicating with your partner - Shouting and throwing things at each other are not signs of good communication habits. It is always best to sit down with your significant other and talk about the marital issues you are facing. Understand how your partner feels. Do not interrupt while he or she is still speaking.

When you walked down the aisle and exchanged wedding vows with your husband, you already knew that he is the person you would be with forever. However, as time passed by, problems came springing out of your relationship. Every day, you experience emotional and psychological stress with the impossible demands of your husband. You and your partner start fighting about the smallest things. You start asking yourself: "Is this a normal part of marriage, or is this becoming a threat to our relationship?" You start thinking about the need to get help for a troubled marriage, but you are not quite sure if you already need professional assistance.

Actually, it is easy to recognize the warning signs of a distressed marriage that needs intervention. You should become aware of these red flags in order to save your marriage now.

Becoming hostile toward each other - You would immediately realize this sign when you and your husband stop doing romantic gestures for each other. Instead, you start sending most of your time fighting each other and bickering all day long. This is a very alerting stage because it could turn your love for each other into contempt or disdain. **End Summary** Topics: help for a troubled marriage save your marriage marriage help
About the Author:
Wink Farrand has been a professional musician, a relationship coach, and a spiritual leader for the past 35 years.
A Marriage Can Be Saved by Sharing Your Feelings

My Own Personal History

I don't know if you grew up like I did, but this whole business of someone sharing their feelings was just not done. If feelings were shared, they came more as outbursts rather than anything constructive.

You see, I'm 56 years of age, so my growing up period (actually, I think we're always in the process of growing, but for now I'll confine the term to adolescence) was from 1965 to 1975. The whole "feelings sharing" encounter was more for hippies and the commune crowd and not for Missouri mid-westerners. Back then it was considered weakness for men to show anything but an in-control-of-any-situation demeanor. When it came to sports, then it was OK to cheer for your team or show bitter disappointment when they lost, but that was sports and not real life. In real life men were to be men. Strong, self-sufficient, everything well-in-hand. Wadaya mean "share your feeling"???

It's Really Not Much Better Today

Now there's much more chatter about a man getting in touch with his "feminine side." That's actually a very silly turn of phrase because feelings are neither male nor female, good or bad, right or wrong. **End Summary** Topics: save your marriage marriage health marriage help
About the Author:
Wink Farrand has been a spiritual leader, a professional musician, and a relationship coach, for the past 35 years.
3 Ways An Optimistic Confident Attitude Can Help You Get Your Ex Back

A breakup is depressing but, it does not have to mean that in the future that relationship can't be restored. Your latest breakup has left you feeling confused and lonely and yet, you remember the good times and are still eager to work on healing the wounds and restoring the relationship with your ex. "But," you may ask remembering the breakup's pain, "How is it possible for us to get back together?" A couple things... first, learn how to react following a breakup and second, be aware of what you may be doing, because you're hurting, that could strain the relationship even more. Make the effort to be polite and positive rather than vindictive. If it's in your future to get back together with your ex, you don't want to do something after a breakup that reinforces the breakup was the right thing to do.

Keeping a positive, even cheerful attitude throughout your day following a breakup is hard. But, most of the relationship experts will tell you that a confident and optimistic attitude will go a long way to possibly getting back together. So, what should you do? **End Summary** Topics: get your ex back getting your ex back get back your ex
About the Author:
Wink Farrand has been a relationship coach and marriage mentor for the past 35 years.
Is Saving Your Marriage Really Worth It?

Not An Easy Question To Ask

What is a marriage worth? Is it really worth it to save your marriage? I've been a relationship coach for 30+ years and a Marriage Encounter presenter for more than 10 years. I've encountered hundreds of couples at various stages of marriage health, and this question is often asked by the ones that are most desperate. I remember one husband in particular saying, "Fix my marriage or help me get out of it!" Maybe this is you. This article then is for you. Keep your mind open and let's have an honest look at how things are.

Consider These Questions

1. Do you believe the problems you are presently facing can be solved or are you trying to escape the challenges simply by quitting?

2. Have you given up on working out your problems together?

3. Is communication for you a series of emotional outbursts?

4. Have you tried a marriage counselor or relationship coach?

5. Do you forgive each other often?

6. Have you looked at other couples having similar problems and investigated their solutions?

7. What are you doing to improve your intimacy?

8. **End Summary** Topics: save your marriage marriage health marriage help Marriage Encounter
About the Author:
Wink Farrand has been a Relationship Coach for the past 35 years.
The Four Lenses Of Any Movie

The Problem

A good movie review is so much more than the number of stars after the movie title. I know that's what most people want to see, but think about it. A movie producer has just invested $60M and the director has given two years of his life. Do you really think they want to see that reduced to a casual two second glance at the number of stars following the title? I know the internet has turned us all into ADD consumers that have lost the ability to process through written information thoughtfully, but really! Think about the art forms and how they blended together to bring the film to life. Consider this before passing your "two star" judgment. In this article I will attempt to describe four artistic lenses that craft a movie so that when you see your next blockbuster epic or quiet romantic comedy, you will have a greater appreciation for what the film makers have attempted to do.

Genre

This is the start button for every movie. The pitch to the studio money people begins, "It's a __________ about ..." The blank is the genre. **End Summary** Topics: understanding movie reviews movie reviews top movie reviews
About the Author:
Wink Farrand writes three new movie reviews each week on his blog.
