ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox local networks have continually reported a consistently growing problem. Every time, I watch my local news broadcast on Dish Network I am aggravated at the reports of Accidents involving Senior Citizens. It seems as though most of our politicians are afraid to lift a finger to stop any of these needless accidents from happening, because senior citizens make up the majority of the voting population. As much as I hope this is not the truth, I can’t help but think it is. I mean why else has there not been a motion made to remove those who cannot drive from the street. We put all kinds of restrictions on our teenagers when they first get their license, and rightfully so. But we do nothing about the elderly who can barely see anymore, do not have the reflexes they once had to avoid an accident, and most of them can barley see over the dashboard of today’s automobiles. Carmina was three years old when her life changed forever, her father Ramon Salcido a vineyard worker who often came home drunk and would take out his frustrations by beating her mother just snapped. Satellite TV has conquered the customer-service rankings, consistently topping the list in the cable-satellite sector, and has raised the stakes with it's launching of 4 different satellites for HD channels. Anyone who knows my daughter or me is aware that Wednesday night is girl’s night. This is the special day of the week that we really spend quality time together and we end it with watching a movie of her choice. I love watching movies with my daughter and seeing her face light up during those magical moments when she sees something she finds to be extraordinary. Movies can also provide us with topics for conversation or spark her curiosity to learn about new things. This week we agreed on a movie that was a little mature for a five-year-old child but I figured it would have enough silly moments to keep her entertained for a while. We chose The Tooth Fairy. The Tooth Fairy stars Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Ashley Judd, Billy Crystal, Julie Andrews and more. This film received many poor reviews but I thought it was fairly enjoyable- certainly more entertaining than Max and Ruby’s Easter! The fact there was built-in eye candy made the movie more entertaining. I love watching chef Nigella Lawson on the Food Network on DIRECTV. She currently has two shows on TV - Nigella Express and Nigella Feasts. Though I enjoy both of her shows, Nigella Express is my favorite for the simple reason that the recipes are fast and easy. When people say Tim Tebow is the “big man on campus” that’s an understatement, the University of Florida quarterback is a living legend not only on the campus, but also all across the southeastern states. While there have been many great football players that have come out of the Gator program in the past none of them have had such a positive impact on the campus as much as Tebow. When Florida host in state rival the Florida State Seminoles this weekend which will be the gators last home game of the year, but more importantly it will be Tebow’s last home game as a Gator.
