CANADA FISHING YOU BET

I have had the opportunity to go on several trips to Canada, mostly it was for the fishing with some sight-seeing as well. If you have never taken trip to Canada you might want to fit into your schedule, this is some beautiful country with lots of wildlife and undisturbed country, that gives you a great appreciation for it. This is a place where you can get a wide variety of fishing in, and you are going to get a great opportunity to catch some nice size fish.

FISH YOU CHOOSE

The selection of fish in Canada is amazing definitely no shortage of species, when I had gone to Canada the few times that I have, I had the opportunity to go on a charter boat and we fished for Halibut. I was fortunate enough to pull in a 145 lb. fish very nice except for arms taking a beaten reeling that monster in, but it was well worth it, very exciting you just don’t think about how big those fish can get up to, I live in the Northwest and I have taken halibut charters here and the largest I ever caught was just under 80 lbs. **End Summary** Topics: fishing canada fishing salmon salmon fishing halibut halibut fishing fishing trip vacation
About the Author:
Hi my name is Jerry I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys outdoor activities like playing paintball, fishing, camping, and atv and motorcycle riding just something about the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere you can’t get in the city.
SELECTING THE PROPER HUNTING KNIFE

Choosing the right knife quality and durability are important you don’t want you blade breaking. There definitely is some characteristics you might want to look at the blade itself, the handle for a fixed blade knife style, a lock back style knife, and the length and weight.

THE BLADE

I have found the blades made with a 440 High Carbon Steel seems to hold a sharper edge longer than most other. Some other material options would be a 420 High Carbon Steel, D2 tool steel, or ATS-34 steel. When it comes to length the preferred length is between 4" and 5". You can get a knife that has a sharp edge on one side of the blade and on the other side they have what they call a gutting hook, that is a sharp hook shape on the back side of the blade designed for actually opening the abdomen for gutting your kill. Serrated cutting edges are nice for cutting cord or other tough surfaces, along with a beveled edge for skinning. **End Summary** Topics: hunting outdoor gear hunting knife knives hunting gear deer hunting knife camping knife camping gear
About the Author:
Hi my name is Jerry I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys outdoor activities like playing paintball, fishing, camping, and atv and motorcycle riding just something about the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere you can’t get in the city.
MAKING PREPARATIONS FOR YOUR CAMPING TRIP

MAKING PREPARATIONS FOR YOUR CAMPING TRIP

When it comes to getting ready for your camping trip its always a good idea to put a list together you know if you don’t your going to forget something we all do. My objective here is to help you not forget the essentials, missing items can be the difference between a pleasant trip and a miserable trip.

#1 FOOD AND WATER

These of course are the main essentials just for survival we so these are on the top of the list. Now your going to want to make a list for that shopping trip, the best way I have found is to actually make a menu for everyday you are there breakfast ,lunch, and dinner. This way you can figure how much of each item you will need. Then it makes it easier to decide snack and any beverages you may want to add to that list.

#2 COOKING UTENSILS

You will need to figure in plates, cups, spoons, forks, knives (paper or plastic). A camping stove or a grill if you decide to cook over a fire. **End Summary** Topics: camping camping gear outdoors outdoor gear tents sleeping bag camping lantern
About the Author:
Hi my name is Jerry I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys outdoor activities like playing paintball, fishing, camping, and atv and motorcycle riding just something about the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere you can"'t get in the city.
ATV CAMPING ON THE TRAIL

ATV CAMPING ON THE TRAIL

Have you ever wondered what it was like to camp on the trails instead of having to go back to a campground and be around other noisy campers? Not fun part of the experience to go riding up in the hills is to get that outdoor experience.

PACKING THAT TENT

Having a small 2 man tent is great you can unpack it and set it up in just minutes instant campground. No backtracking to your vehicle for the night so only the next day you can cover a lot of the same territory again. Lets face it we get up there to explore, see new country and experience that peace and quiet you can only get in the outdoors, and we don't ever get as much time as we would like for riding this will help.

ATV TENT TRAILER

There are tent trailers they make for hauling behind your ATV very nice and compact. If you haven’t seen these check into them they are normally large enough for 2 adults to sleep comfortably. **End Summary** Topics: camping camping gear outdoors atv atv riding atv trails atv camping atv trailer
About the Author:
Hi my name is Jerry I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys outdoor activities like playing paintball, fishing, camping, and atv and motorcycle riding just something about the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere you can"'t get in the city.
CHOOSING THE PROPER CAMPING STOVE

When it comes to choosing a camping stove there is definitely no shortage in choices, you can pick a 1 burner up to a 3 burner. Now we need to decide on the fuel, we can get one that uses propane or one that uses stove fuel and that use to be the standard til propane came into the picture.

ONE BURNER STOVE

They have some nice models, you can get a fuel style that has the burner and fuel tank as a single unit, or you can get a single burner unit that sits on top of a propane tank, and there is another single burner that uses propane but it looks like one of those hot plates kids use in there college dorms, all you need to do is screw on a small propane tank and use it. The nice thing about this style is you don't have to worry about it tipping over. The 2 propane styles are great compact sizes for the avid hikers.

TWO BURNER STOVE

When it comes to 2 burner stoves you can get these with the fuel supply and the propane. **End Summary** Topics: camping camping gear camping stove outdoors outdoor stove
About the Author:
Hi my name is Jerry I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys outdoor activities like playing paintball, fishing, camping, and atv and motorcycle riding just something about the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere you can"'t get in the city.
BUYING THE RIGHT SLEEPING BAG

When your looking for a sleeping bag it can be difficult there are just so many choices and options to choose from the best place to start is figuring out what conditions will you be using your sleeping bag in most. If your a avid hiker your going to want a compact sleeping bag but you have to know how cold it may get at night since they dont have alot of insulation to keep you warm. A good sleeping bag will hold your body heat in, now if your hiking with your honey you can invest in a double sleeping bag and that extra body warmth will most likely be enough to keep you warm thru out the night.

SLEEPING BAG STYLES

The rectangular sleeping bag is the most common style, with these you can unzip them and use them like a quilt or zip them together with another rectangular sleeping bag and make it a big enough for 2 people. Now if you don't like to zip 2 sleeping bags together you can buy a 2 person sleeping bag pretty cool huh? **End Summary** Topics: camping camping gear sleeping bags outdoors
About the Author:
Hi my name is Jerry I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys outdoor activities like playing paintball, fishing, camping, and atv and motorcycle riding just something about the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere you can"'t get in the city.
