Bench Press - How To Get The Most Out of It

The bench press is probably one of the first weight training exercises that comes to mind when you try to think of one. It is a majorly loved workout. Benching works on your tricep and pectoral muscles if done correctly. Sadly, a large sum of people do it incorrectly and yield unsatisfying results. In this article, I will give you three tips to make the most out of your bench pressing.

First of all, don't only focus on the bench press. It's hard to belive, but it isn't surprising to see someone only benching and ignoring all of the other machines. Although not common knowledge, working out your tricep will help you greatly with getting results from bench pressing. Here are some examples of good tricep workouts: close grip pushup, close grip bench press, tricep dip, and tricep extension. With a strong tricep strength base, handling heavier weights in the bench press will be easier and more effective.

The next problem I'm going to address is bench press form. Locking out the elbows when pushing the bar is probably the most common technique mistake. The majority of the weight while bench pressing should be on your pectorals. **End Summary** Topics: muscle building weight training charles staley edt
About the Author:
I have always found making my own exercise routine most beneficial with the help of the Escalating Density Training DVD .
The Hardest Part About Muscle Building - Revealed and Solved

Building muscle or getting "buff" is probably a goal almost every male in the world at one point hopes to achieve. Being exposed to ripped action movie stars can really cause someone to want a nice body. While a lot of inspired people go off and go "workout crazy" to attempt to achieve that physique, most give up because they don't know what they're doing. People sometimes go wild and attempt to do exercises they've never done before. And some hit the local gym and just bench until they can't bench anymore. Failure is the result for them because they overthink the situation. In this article I will explain to you how you can simplify the muscle building process and get the results you want.

Giving up is the main problem newbies in weight training run into. When people are misguided and try to build muscle, they usually make it very hard on themselves. When they approach exercise in that way it starts getting really hard and eventually leads to giving up. When facing a challenge, it is best to take it on with the least damage to yourself. Don't "leap before you look. **End Summary** Topics: weight training muscle building escalating density
About the Author:
One highly recommended weight training program is Escalating Density Training .
Escalating Density Training Deciphered

A lot of people question whether this seemingly foreign method of training works. It really isn't as wild as people think.

Allow me to explain it to you. Your muscles do not know that they are getting worked out to become bigger. All your muscles know is that they are moving against a resistance. And if the resistance is stronger than what they're accustomed, they will need to become larger and stronger to be able to handle it.

All your muscles know is adaptation.

Escalating Density Training is founded on this very concept. Here's an example. On the first week, you bench 15 reps of 200 lbs. Your muscles then adapt to become ready for 15 reps of 200 pounds next week.

However, you bench press 20 reps of 200 lbs next week. Your muscles again will repair and build to be strong enough for 20 reps of 200 pounds the following week.

Every time the resistance is elevated, your muscles have no choice but to accommodate by getting bigger and stronger. When your muscles have adapted to the high amount of reps, you can up the weight to force more adaptation. **End Summary** Topics: escalating density training edt review charles staley
About the Author:
Now that you understand the simple concept of Escalating Density Training , you might still wonder if you'll get good results with this system.
