Without a doubt the most important dog training aid any new pup can have is you

Why is that so? You are the chief. You choose all the other dog training aids. You must learn to use aids correctly. Without you no dog training aid is worth its salt. You are responsible for all dog training aids applications because you do the work.

As the chief of all the other dog training aids your work begins long before you bring your new animal home or at least it should. You have made the decision that you have both the time and desire to devote to the new puppy. You have the time for the relationship and you have the time for training. Most importantly you have the desire.

Make planning ahead a priority and both you and your puppy will have success. You should take some time and do some advanced research before you bring home a new puppy.

You should and before the pup comes home do the following.

1. Purchase a dog cage or crate. The dog cage or crate is the number 1 recommended dog training aid. **End Summary** Topics: dog training aid toys food dog cage dog crate cage training house training
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell believes that in order to train a dog the owner must first learn to train themselves.

Using dog training aids, tools and learning their correct usage helps to ensure that you never lose your temper with your dog.

The well trained dog is normally quite proud and loves to show off his skills. The well trained dog is normally far more content and happier than his untrained counterpart. He has his jobs and responsibilities that allow him to secure his place within the family.

Dogs need to know and understand their place within each family. Generally dogs derive a true sense of security if allowed to perform the jobs they are taught to do. They also know there is normally some reward for a job well done. The reward may be a treat or even simple praise from a family member. For the dog its the reward and not what the reward actually is.

Most dogs enter family life as puppies and in reality as puppies they are easier to train. Thankfully there is a plethora of dog training aids and tools that make dog training easier. These aids and tools exist because when used properly they simply work. **End Summary** Topics: dog training aids dog training tools dog training cage training crate training
About the Author:
Visit Ryleigh Cantrells Site And Learn.

Now a days, getting anything of value for free seems like an exercise in futility. This is not the case when it comes to article marketing on the internet.

Because I consider article marketing and using an article marketing strategy to be swapping time and work for advertising. Because you needn't take currency from your pocket I consider writing and submitting articles to advertise as being primarily free.

However being a free strategy is not the only reason to write and submit articles to promote any online business. Below there are another 4 excellent reason to employ a well thought our article marketing strategy.

1. Article Marketing And Name Recognition.

Is there anyone who could or would argue that becoming known as an industry leader in their field of expertise is not one of the more important aspects of doing business online or even locally.

When someone needs or simply wants your type of service or merchandise it is critical to your business to be thought of first. Writing articles will certainly help to do that.

2. Nearly Immediate Benefits.

People are for the most part an impatient lot. They want what they want when they want it. **End Summary** Topics: article marketing articles marketing article advertising
About the Author:
Want to download a FREE/No Optin 5 video article marketing crash course.

I have after 32 years with the same Blue And Gold Macaw some insight regarding that question.

I can answer the question easily by asking another question most people will answer almost instinctively even if they have no actual experience at this moment. How does having a child change your life? I believe most people would easily agree and say. In every conceivable manner a kid will change your life. Most would say that with almost no thought I think.

As humans most of us understand the awesome responsibility that having a kid brings to our lives. Owning a Blue And Gold Macaw is in fact quite the same experience. When comparing the two from birth through the toddler years there really is not much difference.

Why would owning a Blue And Gold Macaw compare so closely to having and raising a child? Because with some notable differences (kids being human and Macaws being animals) many of the responsibilities are the same. The responsibilities are so closely related primarily due to the fact that the Blue And Gold Macaw possesses an intelligence and an understanding comparable to children ages somewhere between two to four years of age. **End Summary** Topics: Blue And Gold Macaw Blue And Gold Companion companion kids Blue And Gold child children toddler
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his Blue And Gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.
You absolutely must find and use an experienced avian vet to care for you Blue And Gold Macaw

Insuring your B&G's health is important. Why trust just any vet for this. With the amount of money most people tie up in just the acquisition and housing of their pet bird, not including emotional bonding. It just makes no sense to scrimp on your Macaws well being or medical care.

It would be wrong for you to wait for an emergency to happen first. Truth is you should locate an avian vet to check out your new purchase to bind any guarantee as to your birds health.

There are a lot of really good, caring, hard working, knowledgeable veterinarians that simply love animals and wish to be apart of their care. However as with human medical professionals there is just to much to know and understand for any vet to specialize in the care and maintenance of all animals.

Lets just suppose there is some form of behavior problem with your beloved Macaw. You've tried everything, you've read everything you could get your hands on related to the problem you and the bird are having. **End Summary** Topics: blue and gold macaw avian vet bird pet bird medical care
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978. I have created free websites and blogs several times none are so easy and quick as is Squidoo. Create a lens in just four easy steps once your signup is completed.

1. What is your lens about? This will be your lens title upon creation and can be edited later.

2. What is the goal of your lens? Tick one.

3. Pick your URL! Be sure this cannot be changed!

4. Enter 3 keywords optional. You can add up to 40 later. Click on build my lens. Done! Your lens will open on your computer screen.

When you first see your lens there will be a module for the lens title at the very top. Just click the title edit button and add your best content. This module already contains your entry for what your lens is about. Click save. **End Summary** Topics: squidoo lens
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has only recently discovered Squidoo.

Please stop and think before you buy your child that Blue And Gold Macaw or any Macaw for that matter.

A companion such as a Blue And Gold Macaw is a commitment. The commitment will be long term. A long term commitment with a Macaw can mean thirty to fifty years and even longer.

Even for the well settled person it is difficult to commit to such a long term relationship. For the Macaw owning the bird has to be purely a labor of love. Nothing short of that will do the experience justice.

A large Blue And Gold Macaw is just not the type of animal anyone should use to begin teaching their child responsibility. Many well settled adults find the commitment very difficult at times.

If you must. Then buy this large bird for yourself first and foremost. If you are not completely and totally committed to the endeavor and hopefully sparking an interest within your child then do not buy it. Don't make a Macaw a childs responsibility. The responsibility is adult and should always remain with an adult. Sparking an interest in your child is secondary and hopeful. **End Summary** Topics: blue and gold macaw macaw macaws large macaw
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw "Shadow" since 1978.

Some of the questions asked by people researching Blue And Gold Macaw parrots as possible pets are.

1. Will a Macaw do things I find attractive?

2. Will my Macaw be playful, talkative, affectionate and intelligent?

3. How about my kid and all the other family members? Will a Macaw be likely to get along with them?

4. Will I be able to train a Macaw?

5. How difficult is it to teach a Macaw to talk?

6. Will a Macaw be friendly to other people or just me and my family? Will he become attached to only myself?

7. How do I avoid my Macaw becoming a biter?

The simplest answer to all these questions of Macaws will come down to this. If you properly socialize a Macaw all things are possible. It is mostly up to us as owners and care givers to be sure our Macaw meets not only our own expectations but his maximum capabilities.

Other than the actual physical care of each bird, food, living conditions, living space and exercise. Socialization may the most important word when talking about Macaw parrots or any parrot for the matter.

A Macaw is not able to socialize himself. **End Summary** Topics: macaw macaws blue and gold macaws socializing
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.

Use natural tree limb perches and foraging toys to help make your Blue And Gold Macaws cage as wild and natural as you know how to do.

I take a tremendous amount of pride in making my Blue And Gold Macaws cage as wild and natural as I can. I honestly believe doing so has paid huge dividends in avoiding common problems associated with my Blue And Gold Macaws behavior and health such as screaming, plucking or foot problems.

Foot care has always been high on my list to keep my Blue And Gold Macaw healthy. I believe doing so has been very key in keeping him active. We have never suffered a foot problem.

My Blue and Gold Macaw (Shadow) is 31 years old. I actually purchased his egg. So we have had a great deal of time to learn from and about each other.

During those years we learned very active Macaws tend to be just a little bit quieter than those with little to do and to much alone time on their hands.

Unless I am caught in a bind almost all of the wood in Shadows cage comes from trees. **End Summary** Topics: blue and gold macaw blue and gold macaws macaw macaws
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his Blue And Gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.
Keeping Pet Birds Quieter

Parrots, if you know anything about them. You know they can be messy, loud and beautiful birds.

The parrots can't help this. It is what they are by nature. The large macaws are able to rattle your windows.

Almost all birds will vocalize early in the morning, sunup and again at sundown. They will do what their species does sometimes for a half hour give or take a bit. Some sing some screech and some squawk. Some species call out to locate their flock or be sure where their mates are. Birds will vocalize as warnings when predators are present or they have become alarmed about something. It only makes sense that pet birds will do the same things.

An alarmed bird can become exceptionally vocal. The moment you leave his sight he may call out. Or your bird may get loud in the morning to let you know the suns coming up. These are normal behaviours and should be expected. If the bird is a large parrot they also can be very stressing, irritating and annoying to you and your neighbors particularly if excessive in volume and duration. **End Summary** Topics: bird large bird pet bird macaw parrot large parrot foraging foraging for food
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.
Make Feeding Your Macaw Easy Top Suggestions

Humans eat things we like and not necessarily things we should. Feeding your macaw or any parrot is simple.

Your birds diet just as your own diet should consist of many different foods and many should be used in moderation. Feeding your macaw or parrot a variety of fresh wholesome unprocessed foods should do the trick. This includes either cooked or raw.

I keep a good high quality commercial parrot mixture in my birds cage at all times. I change it out every morning with a fresher helping. Everything else I feed I consider to be treats or supplemental. I don't feed treats until I notice my bird has been into the pellet mixture. My B & G macaw can be stubborn, occasionally he won't eat any mixture until we have had our morning workout eventually he will eat.

Nuts and sunflower seeds I consider to be treats. I feed them sparingly one at a time. Generally as rewards for this that or another thing and once in a while because I'm a nice guy. Macaws need a little more fat, nuts and sunflower seeds are how my bird gets his. **End Summary** Topics: Macaw parrot bird food feed diet
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.
Happy Feet Its All A Matter Of Perches

You have been on your feet all day not even a moment to simply perch and rest.

You feel like your poor feet have walked you around the world and back again. Now if you will take just a moment and imagine its bed time and you have to sleep standing up and on your feet. Pretty miserable thought isn't it.

Can you imagine life like that? It isn't to difficult to imagine the foot and leg problems that could incur? Your parrot faces that exact problem. As bird owners it is up to us entirely to do everything possible to insure the comfort and safety through options to our pets.

Your bird, the wild version is free to roam where and how he wants. Wild birds are able to pick their perches according to their wants and needs. However this is not so for the bird living in the living room cage. His perches are all up to you. Your pet bird needs options just like the wild birds.

Things To Consider About Perches.

1. The Circumfrence Of The Perch:

Pay attention here. If the birds feet are to flat the perch is to large. **End Summary** Topics: parrots bird perch perches macaw large birds pet bird pet
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.

For me there just isn't anything funnier than those weight control advertisements on t.v.

Who wants to lock themselves into spending hundreds of dollars a month to lose weight. It really isn't necessary to do that. There is a better far more fun and rewarding way to lose belly fat. I call it "Buying and caring for a Macaw".

Honestly it is far more fun and rewarding to own a macaw than using a diet and exercise program. Losing weight on my program just happens.

It happens without fancy diet programs or drugs to amp up the metabolism too.

Owning and caring for a macaw is the best solution ever. Its funner (don't think that a real word) but it is. My owning and caring for a macaw weight control system is easy and rewarding. Its a cure for depression. It's inspirational and gives a person another purpose in life.

My system will without thinking cause you to lose unwanted belly fat without a conscious effort to do so.

Here is how it works for me.

I go to bed each night, the last thing I do is check to be sure my macaws (shadow) cage is latched. **End Summary** Topics: macaw parrot bird birds large bird macaw parrot
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.
My Thirty One Year Old Toddler Is A Blue And Gold Macaw

The first few things to be considered before anyone buys a large parrot

Not the least of which is living the majority or your life with a child, infact a toddler.

One thing almost no one mentions about taking macaw parrots as pets.

1. For a teenager there is a fairly good chance a macaw could out live you.

2. If you are in your thirties it is pretty much a given a macaw will out live you.

These large parrots live from 30 to 50 years. Of course just as with our own lives much is decided on the manner in which the bird lives and is cared for. Betting on your bird living 40 to 50 years wouldn't be a stretch.

This means because macaws can have the intellect of a 2-3 year old human child you could be living with a thirty, forty, fifty year old 2 year old child. I didn't bring this up to dissuade anyone only to warn them. Done right it can be one heck of a wonderful life for both. **End Summary** Topics: macaw parrot bird birds large bird macaw parrot
About the Author:
Ryleigh Cantrell has owned his blue and gold Macaw (Shadow) since 1978.
