How to Make Yourself Uncommon ... Biblically.

One time, some scribes and Pharisees were offended because Jesus' disciples did not wash their hands before eating. Jesus responded with this. "There is nothing outside the man which, going into him, can defile him; But the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man" (Mk 7:15). When in private, the disciples asked Jesus about this statement. He added, "That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of man, proceed the evil thoughts and fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man" (Mk 7:20 -23). The word we are interested in, is the one translated, "defile." The verb is koinoo, and the noun is koinos. Before giving you the definition, let me give you a clue.

For centuries, many thought the New Testament was written in a "Greek from God" - holy, heavenly and undefiled by man. But archaeological digs began unearthing shopping lists and land deeds written in the same Greek – in the same time period! **End Summary** Topics: koine greek bible and sin common man pharisees heavenly father sin in the bible bible sin verse fornication biblical fornication coveting
About the Author:
In 1977, Robin became a Christian.
Preface
This is an excerpt from the Ebook, “Abortion: How (and Why) Abortion Resides in the Weakest Form of Human Thought and Valuation” (pages 41-45). This comes rather late in the discussion, so some statements here refer back to previous points in the Ebook. I will insert a few comments in [brackets] to clarify a previously made point. I hope this excerpt will create a desire to read the full work. It is free at Website in the Author Bio.

Embryonic Stem Cell Endeavors
There are several ways to approach this subject. But since I have been approaching abortion from the three world views, it seems reasonable to continue on this path. Let's first examine the Naturalistic view, then the Biblical Theological view, and then the Humanistic view. But first, what are “Embryonic Stem Cell Endeavors?”

Stem cells are extracted from human embryos in the hope that those cells may one day be used to cure various maladies in other human beings. As of this writing, the cells are being used for research and experimentation in the hope of finding those cures. **End Summary** Topics: embryonic stem cell research stem cell research article cons of stem cell research stem cell research ethics stem cell therapy
About the Author:
This Article’s an excerpt from Robin’s definitive work on the Abortion Argument .
Death and Life and the Bible

Death first. Is death just a part of life? Is it simply an impersonal, random event with no hostile intent? All longevity models (evolution) think so. On the other hand, if death is imposed - that changes everything. What a massive understatement. Evolution and Biblical Creationism, are the two primary competitors in Western thought on origins. They are at great odds on this subject. Indeed, the two systems could not be more diametrically opposed. Here is a comparative review of these two belief systems. Compare point 1 to point 1, 2 to 2, etc.

Evolution:
1. Death has been present from the beginning of life.
2. Death is natural and absolutely imperative to evolutionary progression.
3. All life has been dominated by death from the start.
4. Death did not “spread” to humans. As stated earlier, it has been present from life’s start.
5. Death may be an enemy from an individual’s point of view, but from an evolutionary view, it is a natural, and necessary, part of the progression of the species.
6. There is but one death for any living thing. Death forever extinguishes the individual life.
7. This existence is all that is. **End Summary** Topics: Bible verse death bible quote on death bible death eternal life resurrection life resurrection wrath of god bible and evolution death in the bible
About the Author:
This Article is an excerpt from Robin’s unique work addressing Death in the Bible .
Agapao Can’t Mean, “The Unconditional, Divine Love of God - and Phileo Can’t Mean, “Brotherl

Love. This seems like an important subject area for Christianity. In fact, one could even contend it is a core element of the Christian faith! After all, the first commandment is the requirement to love God - with all our heart, mind, soul and strength (Mk 12:30). The second commandment requires us to love our neighbor as our self (Mk 12:31)! This “love” requirement covers all our vital relationships - toward self, neighbor and Creator! But the centrality of this “love doctrine” extends even further. The Bible states that love fulfills the Law (Ro 13:8-10 and Gal 5:14)! So, all the requirements of the Law of God ... are fulfilled by love?! It is evidently made up of something that has the ability to satisfy the requirements the entire Old Testament theocracy! This is worth thought, investigation and inquiry!

So, ... what is love? If we are to fulfill these commands, we need some kind of definition. How else can we know if we are meeting His requirements?

A Common Teaching
There are two New Testament Greek words often translated “love” in English. **End Summary** Topics: Agape agape definition agape love agape love definition phileo philos phileo love brotherly love bible love bible verse about love agapee agapao
About the Author:
This Article is an excerpt from Robin’s exhaustive Bible study on Love .
I Went From a Believer to an Unbeliever ... in Evolution

Evolution and Biblical Creationism are both faith-based systems. For me, a day came when it was easier to believe the Bible’s creation account than to believe the theory of evolution. A critical factor to my unbelief lies in evolution’s propensity to abandon its own faith principles when dealing with basic physical science. While I believe all longevity models, and their accompanying evolutionary theories, have many glaring problems, here are five massive ones. There are more.

1. Matter is Eternal
Evolutionists believe everything comes from something - until everything is traced back to the first thing. “Matter,” saith the Evolutionist, “is eternal.” By halting their quest for origins at some incredibly dense blot of matter, they not only make a faith declaration, but also a stunning reversal in their science. This “blot” is the lone exception to material science - that all material has a precursor.

Biblical Creationists believe there was a time matter did not exist. God spoke it into existence - out of nothing. “I, the Lord, am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself, and spreading out the earth all alone ...” (Isa 44:24). “All things” include matter. **End Summary** Topics: Creationism creationism vs evolution origin of life spontaneous generation evolution and creationism scientific creationism bombardier beetle
About the Author:
This Article is an excerpt from Robin’s unique work addressing Death in the Bible .
The Central Message of the Bible

Introduction
Every book has a main point. Even poems and articles have a main theme. There is always, "the moral to the story," right? Well, the Bible has a main point too. The Bible addresses many subjects that are of great importance. But there is one subject that overshadows all others - our relationship and standing before God. There are four parts to this message. Each will be explored in order. The first part is the bad news or man's condition before God. The second part is the good news, explaining what God has done about this problem. The third part concerns man's response to this good news. And the fourth part addresses some of the results of a positive response to this good news message.

The Bad News - Man's Condition
Every person knows there is a Creator. God declares that He has made this known within each person (Ro 1:18-20). But a problem has arisen between the Creator and each person. It's called sin. The most simple definition for sin is, "all unrighteousness is sin" (I Jn 5:17). But what constitutes unrighteousness? **End Summary** Topics: Plan of salvation Christian salvation born again god plan of salvation born again christian resurrection of Jesus Christ gospel presentation
About the Author:
In 1977, Robin became a Christian.
