A Range Trading Strategy That Combines Breakout With It!

Sometimes, the market gets locked in a large trading range extending from 150 to 300 pips. These large trading ranges get formed when central banks try to intervene in the foreign exchange market in order to stabilize their currencies within a certain range. This is done to boost exports or discourage imports.

First, you need to identify a trading range using an ADX (Average Directional Index). If the reading on the ADX chart is below 20, it means that the market is consolidating. You can further confirm it with the DMI (Directional Movement Index). After confirming that the market is in a consolidating phase and trading between a range of something like 150 to 300 pips, you are ready for applying this trading strategy. When the market rallies towards the resistance level, big players like the large banks and financial institutions enter the market and start selling aggressively creating more sellers than buyers. Consequently prices fall.

Similarly when the price action reaches the support, big players think that the currency pair is now oversold or underpriced, so they start buying. This buying pressure bounces the price action back again from the support and it starts to rise. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Therapies Natural Cancer Therapy
About the Author:
Mr. Ahmad Hassam has done Masters from Harvard.
"XXX May Offer Health Benefits, But Evidence Still Limited" was the headline about a natural cancer therapy. This was in sharp contrast to an overblown television report about a new cancer drug which was reported to be the hope of all cancer sufferers for the decade.

When we hear about research results from the media we need to become aware of the types of language that is being used to describe the findings of the studies. In medical reports findings tend to be cautious unless it has been written by one of the pharmaceutical company ghost writers.

When the media reports on a positive finding about a natural product doctors are wheeled out and asked to provide a "balanced" report, discussing why it isn't as great as it seems and everything that could go wrong by way of possible negative side effects. The doctors are very obliging.

However when the report is about a new drug that patients have trialled, the drug company provides the television reporter with a number of very happy patients who did well on the drug. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Therapies Natural Cancer Therapy
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Therapies: Comparing Like With Like

The media often deals harshly with a person who has cancer who turns down medical treatment, turns to natural cancer therapies and subsequently dies. The success of a natural cancer treatment is measured on whether the person who is ill survives a natural lifespan. But this is not the case for medical treatments. Medical treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy often use much "softer" evidence of success.

When comparing results it is important to make sure that like is compared with like.

Success in radiotherapy and chemotherapy is often measured, not in terms of improved longevity but in terms of the regression of the tumor. There is an assumption that if the tumor reduces in size that the patient must do better in the longer term. This idea seems to be common sense, but it has not been proven to be the case.

It is clear that those who respond to chemotherapy do better than those who do not. But there is no research which shows that a reduction of tumor size is linked to improved longevity when compared to those who are not treated. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Therapies
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Therapies vs Conventional Treatments

There is a much quoted study on the natural cancer therapies websites. The quote says that 75% of cancer doctors would not take chemotherapy for cancer due to the toxicity of the drugs. The quote is very much out of context but is indicative of some of the issues. However the paper says very much more. It was a paper that asked doctors who care for patients with cancer if they would take part in different types of treatment trials if they themselves had cancer. This was a study from over 20 years ago but I would have to ask if things have changed at all in the time since it was done.

Four different scenarios (different presentations of lung cancer) were given to the doctors. They were asked if they had that type of cancer would they take part in a study comparing different treatments. All the trials they evaluated were chosen to show the different types of study that were taking place at the time that the study was done. They were asked what treatment they thought was best for each condition, then if they would participate in a particular trial and if not, why not. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Therapies
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Therapies and Mainstream Medicine

Medicine thrives on the concept of evidence based medicine. All our training of medical students encourages them to expect to practice using the best evidence available. And there will be few people out there who would argue that we would want to have a good reason to use expensive treatments - we want to know they will work.

So often in the media there are comments from the medical profession about the gullibility of people using natural cancer therapies, or any natural therapies for any serious condition as they haven't been proven to work to the same standards as the pharmaceutical drugs and other medical treatments.

However at this point we need to be very careful. In 1991 an article in the British Medical Journal stated that only about 15% of the treatments in use were proven to the standards that they expect of natural cancer therapies and other holistic and alternative treatments. And there is evidence to suggest we have not improved the percentages since then.

As a case in point surgery as a treatment for cancer has not been proven to lengthen the life of patients. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Therapies
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Therapies: Can Having Good Friends Reduce The Chance Of Dying?

Another animal study has shown the importance of having company to prevent cancer occurring and in reducing of the likelihood of death from cancer. It is clear that for both animals and humans having good friends definitely improves the quality of life, and now, possibly, lack of friends might even be a matter of life or death. However researchers are still unsure of many of the mechanisms by which social isolation might contribute to the development of cancer.

We all know of wonderful people who have had lots of friends who socialized a good deal and who still died of cancer. I am not saying that not having friends is the one cause of cancer.

But we need to acknowledge the increasing evidence that having good friends can be a buffer to both prevent cancer occurring in the first place and if it does occur, to improve ones chances of a better outcome - either a complete recovery or a longer time till death. My own research findings also come to the same conclusions. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Therapies
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Alternative Cancer Therapies

There are very strong feelings surrounding alternative cancer therapies. There are frequent television snippets and online blogs bemoaning the deaths lost to alternative treatments used after well recognized medical treatments have been turned down by the patient. There was one a few weeks ago when a well known mini-celebrity had turned down chemo to use alternative therapies and the message to the public was clear: she would have lived if she had been sensible, like most people, and submitted to the chemotherapy treatments.

However it is not as simple as just a choice between something that is not proven to work and something that has been proven to work (statistically and selectively). In the case above the celebrity could have undergone chemotherapy but the research showed that for one year of having horrendous side effects she would, on average, get another four months of life.

Statistically the drugs were shown to work. But in a practical and clinical sense the year of misery of chemotherapy treatment was not sufficient for the patient to choose a possible few more months.

Of course she might have been the one person in 50 who got another five years. **End Summary** Topics: Alternative Cancer Therapies
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Cancer Remedies: Is Hope Real or False?

When a person has cancer that has a very poor prognosis doctors are very wary about the patient having what they call "false hope". They get very angry with individuals and information websites who suggest that the fatal consequence might not have to happen. From their perspective it is cruel to suggest that someone has the power to heal when it is, in the doctor's opinion, patently not true. But is that stance justifiable?

I would have to answer both yes and no. It is justifiable as most people just want to do as they are told and for those who believe in medical cancer remedies it is probably accurate. However it is not justifiable in the sense that even if only one person has beaten the medical odds and recovered when it wasn't expected then there is a physiological pathway for healing to occur.

If there is a biological mechanism for a cancer tumor to regress, to get smaller in size, then there is a mechanism for it to continue to regress, perhaps to extinction. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Natural cancer remedies
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Cancer Remedies: Cut Cancer Deaths by 75% in the US and Canada

In 2009 a group of well respected medical researchers published a paper and an open letter. They brought together research that showed that breast and colon cancer deaths (two of the four cancers that cause the most deaths in the western world) could be reduced by three quarters if people increased the vitamin D levels in their blood. This can be done by spending time in the sun along with supplementation that is both a cheap and effective cancer preventive and cancer remedy.

Think of this: three out of four deaths of colon and breast cancer can be prevented or treated by increasing vitamin D to healthier levels. From a public health perspective these are huge figures.

The authors of the paper state that around 3000 research studies have been published in medical journals which show that increased vitamin D decreases cancer deaths. The case has been made.

So why are we not hearing about this in the media, from the public health promotion people, or from our doctors? Whenever a potential anti-cancer drug is found the Australian media make a big hoo-haa over it as if the holy grail had been finally located. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine Remedy health
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Treatment: Spontaneous Remission Or Something Else?

Spontaneous remission has been known about for centuries. Unexpected recovery when a person was expected to die in the past was considered a miracle and many praised God for the intervention. The great majority of physicians now consider spontaneous remission or regression as an oddity which they can ignore as it falls outside of their explanatory models. Some deny the existence of spontaneous remission and regression, preferring to claim that the diagnosis was wrong in the first place.

This is all very sad, especially for the person who seeks a miracle remission or regression from their terminal disease. They are told instead to face reality and come to terms with the fact that their time left on earth is limited and they must face death sooner rather than later.

There has been very little research done systematically exploring what is different in the cases of spontaneous remission or regression (it is regression for tumors, remission for other conditions like leukemia). Strictly speaking any time a tumor reduces in size without treatment it is a spontaneous regression however the name has usually only been reported in the medical literature when the regression is both 'dramatic and long lasting'. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
We keep hearing the health message that all people should undertake physical activity and most of us, if we listen to it at all, think, "Yes, yes. I'm sure it is a good idea." And then we promptly forget about it. However until I started to research the medical papers I didn't have any idea of just how important exercise was in both preventing and treating cancer. This article will focus largely on the prevention aspect.

Most of us are largely set in our ways and are very busy. The thought of having to add hours more of exercise time into our lives is just more than we want to have to think about.

I am fully well aware that unless most people have a health scare, either their own or someone close to them, most won't even think about prevention of disease.

But as we get older, as our bodies don't respond in quite the way we want them to; **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Exercise is well recognized as being a factor which can reduce the risk of cancer by an average of about 30-40%, with some cancers being reduced by up to 70% in some studies. But what is the situation with people who already have cancer? Can exercise help to reduce the risk of recurrence or even death? There are studies which indicate this is the case in breast and colon cancers and possibly others as well.

A study reported in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in 2006 showed that the impact of physical activity on established disease was considerable. They looked at patients with Stage III colon cancer, which is colon cancer that had spread to the nodes, and who had surgery to remove the cancer.

The researchers compared those who exercised least (less than, say one hour of exercise per week where they got to the point of sweating) to those who did more than 6 hours of mild to moderate exercise. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Treatment: Is fat consumption the problem or is it lack of exercise?

For many years, and even continuing now, there has been an understanding that fat in food is bad and contributes to cancer. And with the upsurge in obesity and obesity related illness there are still many doctors, nurses, nutritionists and dieticians who condemn the eating of fatty foods. However is fat the villain it has been made out to be?

A couple of weeks ago I read a research paper in a health and nutrition journal, all full of big academic words but the gist of it was that it had been known for decades that fat was not a contributor to cancer and heart disease. There were a range of articles in the journal along the same vein and I did not see any research providing contradictory evidence. It was as though the professionals had a new consensus view.

However that evening a "leading doctor" strutted in front of the television cameras pronouncing his horror on the intake of fat and how it was making people fat and causing cancer and heart disease. It was the hyped up lead news item that night. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.

Day and night are a natural rhythm of life. For millenia before the electric light was developed people had to live largely by the natural cycles of light and dark. It is to be expected therefore that the human body has used these cycles in ways that encourage health and that varying from them too far might have negative consequences. It seems that this is the case. Sleep disorders, depression and even ageing and cancer are some of the conditions that are affected by poor "light hygiene".

Each person has a master biological clock which regulates the production and release of melatonin from the pineal gland. Melatonin helps us sleep and more is produced at night than during the day time. It also has two other very important roles. Melatonin is part of the serotonin pathway - this is one of the "feel-good" hormones and a lack of it is known to contribute to depression and seasonal affective disorder. Melatonin also contributes to a well-functioning immune system and it has a recognized role in controlling at least some cancers and reducing the impact of ageing. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Treatment: Meditation

Major religious traditions have known for millennia that meditation can improve health. While some medical practitioners are still skeptical about its usefulness this is largely because they are not aware of the amount of evidence there is in the medical literature. Meditation not only changes the electrical activity of the brain but impacts on both the hormonal cascades and the immune system.

When I first started as a researcher I was told in no uncertain terms that there was no evidence that stress contributed to ill health. Now it is known that stress suppresses the immune system through multiple processes including encouraging the white blood cells to die off. They call this stress induced "apoptosis of lymphocytes and development of immune supression by means of glucocorticoid pathways". Please bear with me and put up with some big words. I have found that most doctors and many ordinary people won't believe it is effective without these convoluted expressions.

Researchers have also been able to show how meditation can increase the relaxation response and undo many negative effects of stress. It always makes me smile when a statement such as this is blithely disregarded by my medical colleagues. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine Relief remedies Remedy health
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Cancer Remedies: Do I Have to

It is usual when someone has cancer for the individual and society to think in terms of using every possible drug in the medical arsenal to attack the cancer in an attempt to subdue and kill it. Many a patient has been told that they have to "Fight the cancer." This is the case whether the cancer remedies being sought are conventional medical approaches or one of the natural cancer treatments. But do we really have to "Fight" cancer?

Some months ago I was discussing this with a nurse who used massage, aromatherapy and other alternative treatments alongside the conventional medical care prescribed by the patients' doctors. I mentioned that it might not be necessary for patients to "fight" and that what we are talking about are metaphors, not the reality itself.

It was as though I had opened Pandora's Box. She very quickly moved from being anxious to angry to a sort of fury. How dare I try to kill her patients by taking away the last weapon they had: their own will to fight the dread disease. I decided to beat a retreat but thought quite a lot about her response. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Cancer remedy Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Treatment - Avoid Cancer by What We Eat

There is much passing reference to the need to eat more vegetables in order to avoid cancer, but beyond the urging of some health promotion staff little seems to be written in the lay press in any detail at all. In addition to this, or perhaps because of the simplistic message that is out there, many doctors do not yet recognize the importance of diet in relation both to reducing the chances of the disease occurring but also in the care of patients who have already got cancer. They do not recognize that good nutrition is a natural cancer treatment.

Many doctors are wedded to the fast effects of antibiotics. They really, really want any and every drug to be as effective as antibiotics were when they were first used. And if foods cannot give that sort of effect with the majority of people then a goodly number of them will dismiss the impact of food as being "not really important".

However there are many drugs which are not very effective. For example chemotherapy increases survival overall at the 5-year stage by only just over 2%, with it being ineffective in many cancers, despite its ongoing use. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine Relief remedies Remedy health
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Cancer Treatments: Is it Necessary to Become Vegetarian?

There are many schools of thought in the cancer alternative medicine literature about what is needed by way of diet in natural cancer treatments. The vast majority suggest that someone who wants to heal themselves from cancer must give up meat, especially red meat. However is this the case and what about other foods? Are there any similarities there?

The reason that most suggest giving up red meat is because they claim that vegetarianism is healthier and that red meat makes the blood acidic - upsetting the acid-base balance in the blood which should be more alkaline. Vegetarians tend to have a very deep belief in the inherent "healthiness" of their eating pattern, something that does not seem to be well supported in the medical literature. (I can hear them howl, "Yes it is!" But I beg to differ.)

There is a major issue that is agreed across all of the cancer alternative medicine believers and that is that lot fed animals give inferior meat than grass fed ones. **End Summary** Topics: Cancer remedies Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Relief Remedies: Drugs and their Efficacy

When we are looking for relief remedies for a medical condition many in the community turn to their medical practitioner to help them find a remedy for their problem. In this they make the assumption that their doctor is the best person to advise them as to what can make them better. As a result of this belief most expect that any drug prescribed by their doctor will be effective, but is this the case?

That very much depends on what you mean by effective. As a health researcher I have been looking at this question for more than a year. Most people I ask expect a prescribed drug to be 90-100% effective, otherwise why would the doctor prescribe it? Doctors become very uncomfortable when I give these figures as they know that few drugs are that effective. They do understand that a high belief is likely to improve the outcome for the patient, but they also recognize that that is not what it necessarily all about. I have often heard them say, "Patients have unrealistic expectations of what drugs can do."

There are a number of issues here. The first is the matter of evidence. **End Summary** Topics: Relief remedies Cancer remedies Remedy health Alternative health Natural health
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Remedy for Health: Sunlight and Natural Vitamin D

For years we have been told to avoid the sun to reduce the chances of getting skin cancer. This is very important for places that have strong sun, like here in Australia. But have we gone overboard and inculcated a fear of the sun to such an extent that sun avoidance is leading to vitamin D deficiencies? Are these contributing to other diseases, including other cancers? Is the sun a natural remedy for health?

Skin cancers are a very real problem. They particularly hit people who have lived an outdoor lifestyle either for work or for leisure. It seems reasonable and realistic to get people to reduce their risk by "slip, slop, slap", slipping into a hat and lightweight clothes that cover arms and legs and slop on lots of sunscreen lotion to stop the damage from the sun's rays. However it now looks as though we might have gone to far and we are now losing to many benefits that the sun brings, particularly vitamin D.

For years vitamin D was understood to be needed for bone health and strength and dietary recommendations were developed with the assistance of the orthopedic (bone) specialists. **End Summary** Topics: Remedy for health remedy health natural health Natural cancer treatment Cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.

There is a strong move within the medical communities and government bodies such as the US FDA to make sure that people who are ill are not subject to scam claims about alternative cancer remedies and natural cancer treatments.

This would be fair enough if the medical community was actually offering treatments that worked. Unfortunately some of them have been shown to be medically ineffective. An important medical paper in 2004 showed that chemotherapy only increased the average 5 year survival rates by just over 2% (reference below).

Chemotherapy for breast cancer, for example, has an average increased 5-year survival rate of only 1.5%. A number of cancers (soft tissue sarcoma, melanoma of skin, uterus, prostate, bladder, kidney and multiple myeloma) were shown to have no increase in survival due to chemotherapy at all.

Doctors often talk about patients having unrealistic expectations about the efficacy of drugs, but to my way of thinking they only have themselves to blame. None of the doctors I work closely with in our medical school had ever spoken to patients about the low effectiveness of chemotherapy. In fact only one of them knew exactly how ineffective the drugs actually were. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Cancer Treatments Medical Cancer Treatments
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Remedy for Health: Butter

It has become common knowledge that butter is one of the enemies of health along with all of the other so-called bad fats. Science has categorically proven it! But has it? Is there really the agreement that the health promotion advocates would have us believe? Perhaps good yellow butter has been demonized and isn't the enemy we have been lead to believe. Perhaps it could even be a remedy for health.

I was watching my 7 year old grandson as he prepared his breakfast on the morning his mother went to hospital for a minor operation. I asked him if he wanted butter on his toast. "Butter is bad for you," he intoned, "fat is bad for you." He had learned that at school and from the television.

"But you need fat," was my response. I told him that he needed good fat, like butter, for his brain and for every cell in his body. "Your brain is mostly fat," I told him, and you want your brain to function well. And every cell in your muscles has fat in them to keep the cell wall strong and healthy. **End Summary** Topics: Remedy health Remedy for health Natural Health Butter Saturated fats
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.

There is some really important research coming out in the biomedical journals that few people ever make the time and effort to read. This is a pity because it has a direct impact on how doctors should support you and treat you when you get sick.

You have to remember that doctors are very busy and have to make a living like any other single person or family out there in the community. Doctor's aren't paid for staying up to date with the medical literature and there are literally thousands of medically related articles being published each month. No self-respecting doctor could ever keep up. They have to rely on others to feed them with what is important. Most of the research feeders are the drug companies and they don't pass on other important research which doesn't improve their profits.

This new research includes a new understanding at what is happening at a molecular level in the cells of your body in the two areas of oxidation and inflammation.

Most people interested in health will have heard of antioxidants and how they help deal with the oxidized products from your cells. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Health Cancer Heart disease Chronic disease Self care Diet
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Health: Selenium, should we take it?

Selenium is one of the minerals that is essential to health and it is a problem for those of us where our soils are deficient. There is much in the complementary health literature that says that selenium can prevent cancer, but is that the case? What does the research really say and what could that mean for each one of us?

Selenium is found in cereals, meat, poultry, seafood and eggs, but the amount depends very much on where the food is grown and whether the land is selenium deficient. When the soils are deficient then the plants cannot take it up into their cells and when animals eat those plants then they become deficient also.

Selenium acts as an antioxidant and helps to protect the body from free radicals that damage the cells. Studies on animals have shown consistent results. Selenium is needed to reduce tumor size, inhibit cell growth and the development of troublesome new cancerous cells, encourages those troublesome cells to self-destruct and improves immune function.

Epidemiological studies have shown that there is a strong relationship between selenium availability and rates of cancer. **End Summary** Topics: Natural health Cancer and selenium Breast cancer Healthy lifestyle Medical evidence
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
Natural Health: There are lies, more lies and statistics in the effectiveness of pharmaceutical drug

The words in the title about statistics are well known, usually in a slightly different version, but I feel it is a little unfair on statistics. However it is true that most of us don't know how to interpret statistics and even if someone does know it might take a few minutes to sit down and decode what the figures are actually saying.

I have spent a good amount of time looking at research articles over the last couple of decades and have become interested in the question of when or whether one should take the drugs recommended by doctors. I have been asking people how effective they expect a drug to be that is prescribed by their doctor. Most of them expect the drug to be 90 - 100% effective, a few drop the figure to 80% or more and only one person has thought that it might be as low as 70%.

This is in stark contrast to the fact where there is often less than 5% effectiveness and drugs with a proven effectiveness of less than 0.4% are regularly prescribed to the tune of billions of dollars a year for the drug companies. **End Summary** Topics: Natural Health Natural healing Chemotherapy side effects Drug efficacy Do drugs work Breast cancer
About the Author:
Dr Harriet Denz-Penhey is an internationally recognized health researcher who has done groundbreaking research into patient self care in serious illness.
