What are the best destinations for cruise discounts?

Getting cruise discounts can be a tricky business but it need not be rocket science! If having a good cruise is more important to you than a very specific destination then you can stack the odds of getting a really good cruise discount heavily in your favour.

Read on and learn how picking your destinations can help you get a serious bank balance saving cruise deal!

***Bermuda***

Trips to Bermuda are very popular. It's a great island and if you're setting off from Florida it's an easy short 2-3 day cruise that's perfect for a short break especially for busy career types.

As a result prime cabins in the July-August peak sell out 6-9 months in advance at top dollar prices. Definitely not a discount cruise zone!

However, if you go off peak you'll have many more options and a chance to get a cheap cruise deal.

The weather in April-May and September-October can be great though keep in mind that hurricanes or heavy storms can affect travel near the end of October. **End Summary** Topics: discount cruise discount luxury cruise fares cruise specials last minute cruise cruise discounts cruise deals travel cruise last minute cruise deal la
About the Author:
Travel addict Nick lives in Stockholm, Sweden with fiancé Lena.
What are the best Seasons & Routes for cruise discounts?

Getting cruise discounts isn't advanced maths level in difficulty but can be a tricky business and you do need to do some work. There are some factors involved that can be heavily weigh to odds in your favour If you know about them and how to apply them. Read and learn!

***Cabins***

On short season or limited availability cruises e.g., Alaska or Baltic for example, premium cabins on new ships sell faster than the standard cabins on older (but still good) cruise ships.

Though such premium cabins are more expensive, the demand is still high enough (and the supply small enough) that they sell with no problem. So if you want premium cabins on a specific cruise I advise you to get in as early as possible At least 6 months but a year is better.

***Routes***

Again some more popular than others and sell out faster. E.g., Vancouver to Anchorage is the most popular for Alaska cruises with several lines offering on shore excursions too. These sell fast so if your route is like this book at least 6 months in advance. **End Summary** Topics: discount cruise cruise specials discount luxury cruise fares last minute cruise cruise discounts cruise deals travel cruise last minute cruise deal la
About the Author:
Travel addict Nick lives in Stockholm, Sweden with fiancé Lena.
Want cruise discounts? Book at the right time

Cruise planning isn't rocket science but it does have pitfalls and, like so many things in life there are good and bad ways to go about it in terms of what to book, when to book it and what deal to go after.

One of the harder things to nail down is when to book your cruise and that is what I'll cover in this article.

The big question to start with is should you book a year in advance to lock in a specific cruise, or hold off to the last minute hoping for a last minute deal?

There isn't a best answer, (what a surprise!) what with the huge variety of cruises, company policy changes, marketing objectives, political events, wars and so on...plus of course your budget and personal likes and dislikes.

***So here are some guidelines to get you focused***

***One - Research options and shortlist:***

Shop around. The good news is that there are so many good cruise lines that you can get a fantastic trip on several.

Use the Internet for research. Resources online make it so much more fun - and easier - than it used to be. **End Summary** Topics: discount cruise cruise special last minute cruise cruise discounts cruise deals
About the Author:
Originally from London Nick now lives in Stockholm Sweden with his fiancé after commuting there weekly for 2 years.
How to learn a Foreign Language with Audio book

Many of us English speakers did another language at school (I did French) but if you're like me and studies say many people are then you didn't really take it seriously and probably don't remember much.

***After all, everyone speaks English right so what's the point?***

Yes, maybe¦up to a point¦

***Holiday problems***

You get into a medical emergency or your wallet gets stolen and the police don't speak English¦

***Money***

Fact - Speaking another language massively (HUGELY!) expands your career options and opportunities.

If you're going for a job where a 2nd language isn't needed it will give you a powerful advantage if you're up against someone who doesn't have it.

If a job does need a 2nd language then if you can't speak it you've got no chance And in the ever expanding global economy those of us who are multi lingual WILL have access to more and better prospects, and, basically, earn more money.

***"Social Mobility"***

My own situation move country for personal reasons (love :-) I'm in Sweden where pretty much everyone DOES speak English but it was a big hindrance. **End Summary** Topics: learn language language audio book learn language audio book learn to speak French Spanish German Polish Swedish Russian Chinese Arabic
About the Author:
Originally from the UK, Nick now lives in Sweden with fiancé Lena, 2 daughters and a Border Terrier called Gunnar. No matter! As long as you're looking for city's that match the criteria below then look no further -

1) Easy to get to.

2) Have loads to see and do.

3) Great food for all budgets

4) A wide range if shopping.

5) And sights and events for culture vultures

***Here are my top 10 European City Breaks***

STOCKHOLM - My local town :-)

Amazing. Vibrant. Modern and old at the same time. Timeless and charming. Built on 14 islands where the huge and beautiful Lake Malaren joins the Baltic.

Water so pure and clean that you'll see people salmon fishing in the middle of the city. (Except in winter when you'll see ice skaters)

Be sure to walk the cobbled-stoned streets of Gamla Stan (old town), maybe buy an axe at the Viking shop & for sure take one of many boat trips to the local islands of the 14,000+ island archipelago. **End Summary** Topics: top 10 cheap breaks europe weekend breaks europe breaks London breaks european breaks holidays breaks travel breaks
About the Author:
After commuting from London to Stockholm every week for 2 years Nick now lives there permanently with wife Lena.
How to Run A Pub Quiz - Being A Quizmaster on the Big Night

OK so you're running a pub quiz. You have a venue, questions and are pretty confident people are going to come and play - But when they come what will they find? Will you - can you - give them a fun night so they'll be gagging for another quiz next week - Or is it going to be disjointed, confused, fraught with technical problems and, well, a bit rubbish?

You need a formula to follow to ensure the quiz runs smoothly and that you (hopefully) and the players (absolutely essentially!) have a good time and want more.

First things first then - You need a quiz question master and he or she needs tools

****Who for Quizmaster?****

¢ Someone who won't be fazed by public speaking.

¢ Who can confidently and clearly read out the questions.

¢ Who won't get led of track by banter or phased (hopefully not) by a heckler or argumentative know it all quiz geek.

****Where will the quizmaster sit to "work"?****

¢ Make sure space is kept for them.

¢ One that can't be overlooked by team spies! **End Summary** Topics: pub quiz quizzes quizes
About the Author:
Nick is originally from London but now lives in Sweden with fiancé Lena, 2 step daughters & Border Terrier Gunnar.
How would you like to you take decisions like a top CEO and brush obstacles aside like a rampaging T-Rex? Or, on a more down to earth note work faster, with greater clarity of vision. Break down and solve problems more quickly than usual and feel really positive and in control of your life and destiny?

"Ah yes" you say, "happens to me once or twice a month". A shame it happens so rarely. It need not be like that though, and here's why:

Fact 1 - This is how movers and shakers feel most of the time.

Fact 2 It is JUST a state of mind.

Fact 3 You can use audiobooks to give your mind a "work out" & create this state of mind "on demand".

There are many downloadable audio books on the whole success and motivation subject though, and this can make knowing what one(s) to get hard.

6 Steps to Running a Successful Pub Quiz

Whether you're planning a fun or "serious" money making pub quiz you'll want to do it right so that people actually turn up to play and if they do you don't look like a complete donkey by way of bad organisation or even worse having out of date questions! It's not that hard when you know how, and after you read thorough the 6 key steps you'll know exactly what to do to make your pub quiz a rip roaring success.

If you just want to run a simple quiz between friends and/or work mates then this is still relevant but you don't need to go into as much detail.

Summary of the 6 steps -
1. Design your quiz structure.
2. Get questions.
3. Teams and entry fees
4. Prizes
5. Rolling jackpots A great way to get them back again and again.
6. Advertise your quiz

1) Design your Quiz structure:

Most quizzes last 1 to 1 and half hours and have 6-8 rounds (toilet and drink breaks essential!)

>> First - Outline a base structure.

* Basic - Sets of general knowledge trivia questions per round.

* Advanced
>> Specialist rounds like music or movies. **End Summary** Topics: free trivia questions pub quiz pub quiz question pub quiz answers pub quiz trivia pub quiz answers pub quizzes
About the Author:
Nick moved from England to Sweden in 2006 where he lives with fiancé Lena, 2 step daughters & Border Terrier Gunnar. They're fantastic for education as well as pleasure "reading". But where did they come from? What were the first titles and can you still get them?

What you'll read:

* When do you think audiobooks started? * Why Audiobooks have become so popular recently? * So when were audiobooks "invented" * Who were the first audio book publishers? * The 3 reasons why audiobooks have exploded. * Where to find "original" audiobooks

* When do you think audiobooks started?: Do audiobooks seem pretty recent to you? I can just about remember "the first" audiobooks on cassette being around in the mid 80s. Then again I'm really old so maybe your first memory is more recent!
