The Two Faces of Dr. Oz

Dr. Oz considers himself (surgeon) an "expert" on diet, nutrition, health and disease who never gives complete information. Instead he gives tidbits, which in essence are worthless and harmful, as it most often dissuades his audience, patients from further investigation, education on the subject of diet, nutrition and disease. You cannot cure bad habit with partial information, superfoods, drugs, surgery, promises (the cure is around the corner), etc.

Have you evr seen his show?

It is divided into ten-minute segments, and during which time he tries to cover various topics: diet, nutrition, disease, diagnosis, personal testimony, etc. often giving less than complete information. It is impossible to give complete information on diet, nutrition, etc. in 10 minutes or less but then again he's a doctor, and every time he finishes, he asks his audience, "Do you get it.?" He doesn't wait for a response. He moves onto another topic. He's a typical doctor, who gives very little time to his patients until they get sick, then performs surgery, and or belittles them (he loves making women cry. He does it quite often with his truth tube).

On 2/24/10, his topic was foods that prevent and or cure cancer. **End Summary** Topics: Dr. Oz Oprah Diet Nutrition cancer alternative medicine
About the Author:
Richard Heft, Acupuncture Physician, FL (1992- 2002); author Hot and Cold, the Complete Guide to Health, Disease, Happiness and Sadness (317 pages), available Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Cold-Health-Disease-Richard-Heft/dp/0974791725; Web: www.mojohealth.org

Dr.Oz, Weight Loss and Fools Gold

On yesterdays' show (01/12/10), Dr. Oz had a well-known hypnotist, Paul McKenna (?) successful in weight loss, smoking and addiction. He agreed with the four golden rules of weight loss, most of which were fool's gold, according to traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicines and common sense.

(1) When you are hungry, go eat because when you starve you lose weight in the short-run but you also slow your metabolism.

No, You are overweight, obese because you never restrain your hunger. You cannot just go and eat whenever you feel the urge, hunger as (a) you may be overeating and (b) may actually be hungry, ready for another meal.

The golden rule of health is daily diet, meal by meal, not snack by snack or continuous eating. The purpose of meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner is to guarantee not only most nutrition, balance but also consistent eating times, especially during the day, which train and keep digestion, maximizing absorption, blood, elimination, etc.

A balanced meal (1/3 protein and fat, 1/3 grain, 1/3 vegetables, 3- 5), fruit, spices, soup and or tea) leaves one nutritionally, energetically satisfied, without cravings. **End Summary** Topics: diet Dr. Oz nutrition weight loss
About the Author:
Acupuncture Physician (FL 1992- 2002). author, Hot and Cold Health and Disease.
Peripheral Artery Disease, Diet, Circulation and Clogged Arteries

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a clever name for poor circulation via anemic blood or clogged arteries both of which are caused by poor diet and cured by proper diet (includes herbs), not by the best pharmaceuticals, doctors, insurance companies, retirement plans, nursing homes, etc.

Peripheral Artery Disease is more or less arthritis, whether you call it Rheumatoid Arthritis, Restless Leg Syndrome, Peripheral Artery Disease, etc.

Arthritis is a generic term for inflammation of the joint, bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, etc. producing pain, inflammation, swelling, redness, etc. especially when resting, sitting or lying, with arms or legs crossed or raised, elevated.

The joint, spaces between the movable bones is composed of fluid sacs, as well as cartilage (gelatinous substance that caps the end of the bones). Both act as shock absorbers. Ligaments hold bones together. Tendons attach muscles to ligaments. Muscles contract and expand via nerve, electrical stimulation, which in turn pulls and relaxes the tendons, ligaments, moving the bones. Blood, nutrients build, fuel and moisten all tissues.

The body digests food and transforms nutrients into blood, structure and function, into health or disease. Blood, nutrients build, fuel and cleanse the organs, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, etc. **End Summary** Topics: Peripheral Artery Disease Diet Circulation and Clogged Arteries
About the Author:
Richard G.
Dr. Oz, Oprah Winfrey, Body Odor, Diet and Ignorance

The goal of every physician is education not curing, as an ignorant patient always requires curing and is never cured, but always charged and hurt (in the long-run). If you are being paid to heal someone, but the best you can do is temporarily halt the disease, then that is fine as long as you explain to the patient that you have no idea how to cure the disease (for whatever excuse) but are more than willing to treat and charge. If your patient accepts that information, then fine, as many will do, but many will not until you figure out not only what causes disease but what also cures. If you cannot cure disease you have no business being a physician, licensed or unlicensed.

The following are three examples of less than stellar advice given by Dr Oz. The first two are dietary as Dr. Oz, on his television show advised that it was all right to drink three to four cups of coffee per day, as and as engage in sex, masturbation if you're an uptight middle age man (it will help relax you). The third is body odor, on a past Oprah show, Dr. **End Summary** Topics: Dr. Oz Oprah Winfrey body odor caffeine nutrition diet
About the Author:
Richard G.
