Commercial Boiler Water Treatment

Many commercial businesses require boiler water treatment processes at their facilities. Treatment processes and solutions vary based on the needs of the client and space restriction considerations. Professional treatment companies may offer complete boiler water treatment chemicals and equipment packages. It's preferable to find a professional treatment company that can supply chemicals and maintenance packages; which will cut down on long-term costs. Most professional water treatment companies are able to provide all the necessary products and upkeep for treatment equipment.

Solution options vary by professionals, but follow pre-established industry practices. Makeup water, fuel and internal treatment solutions for boilers include:

*	Fuel treatment solutions
*	Internal boiler treatment solutions
*	Oxygen scavenging solutions
*	Condensate treatment solutions
*	Corrosion control
*	Microbiological control
*	Fouling control
*	Foaming solutions
*	Boil out solutions
*	Lay up solutions
*	USDS & FDA regulated solutions
*	Chemical metering pumps, day tanks, mixers, monitors, controllers, automatic blow down controllers, remote monitoring and data logging capabilities.

Employing boiler water treatment processes and solutions has the potential to lead to great savings. Savings realized through a professional treatment installation depend on the equipment installed, and the commercial facility's variables. **End Summary** Topics: commercial water treatment commercial water filter systems commercial water systems
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information Commercial Water Treatment, Commercial Water Filter Systems and Commercial Water Systems

Internet Marketing through Search Engine Optimization and Pay-Per-Click

It takes more than a traditional marketing campaign to stand out from the crowd, or more aptly, other web listings. Two critical and frequently sought after internet marketing strategies are search engine optimization (SEO) and/or Pay-per-click (PPC).

Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of optimizing a website to reflect keywords, descriptions and meta/title tags that enable a site to be easily searched by search engine crawlers. SEO also takes into account the creation or revision of online content to ensure it's search engine friendly. SEO also allows a company to align their website with a target audience making it a critical and essential part of an internet marketing strategy.

Optimizing a website allows for a higher page ranking on search result pages; which makes it more accessible and relevant to those searching. A reputable SEO company will strictly abide by Google's Guidelines. Compliance with these guidelines is necessary for ensuring a website is engaging in proper practices. **End Summary** Topics: website design company professional web design company web design agency
About the Author:
For More Information on website design company professional web design company web design agency visit the websites above.

Metal Plating Applications and Finish FAQs

Metal plating is a process geared toward personal and industrial vendors. Plating or finishing is commonly done using electro plating, where the base metal is charged with electricity and a superior metal adheres to it. Inferior metal is the typical base, and in order to strengthen the base metal, a superior metal is plated over top. The plated metal has desired properties that the base metal does not, which is often the reason for plating. Typically, the plating or finishing is very thin.

Plating is commonly used for applying a layer of material, commonly a metal onto another metal, to achieve a desired result. Common plating applications include preventing corrosion, hardening metals, improving wearability, reducing or eliminating friction and in many cases, the plating is applied for aesthetic purposes. Common applications for metal plating and finishing include; large scale machinery, food processing machines, automotive parts, marine hardware, bearings, motorcycle parts, aircraft parts, health equipment, plumbing fixtures, builders hardware, medical surgical equipment, metal arts and jewelry.

	The metal plating and finishing industry focuses on industrial and individual customers. Industrial and individual metal plating and finishing applications include numerous items, both large and small. **End Summary** Topics: corrosion resistant coatings wear resistant coatings coating solutions
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on corrosion resistant coatings, wear resistant coatings and coating solutions.

Improving Business Profits with a Software Development Company

From small family-owned shops to Fortune 500 corporations, every business in recent time relies on some form of technology. Technology has opened the door for companies to take advantage of time-saving and money-saving techniques. Many technological solutions can make life easier by speeding up some of the mundane chores associated with any business, like book-keeping. Of course, like everything else, technology also has a few downsides. In the first place, the people who used to keep the books by hand now have to look for new jobs. Another downside of technology is that companies become so reliant upon it that when they want to incorporate a new or improved operation, they need technology that might not exist. This type of situation brings businesses to the doorstep of a software development company.

Businesses might need a company such as this to create computer programs that do not exist yet. Sometimes these programs pursue totally new and innovative ideas, and other times the programs are simply a tweak on an already existing program. **End Summary** Topics: website design company professional web design company web design agency
About the Author:
For More Information on website design company professional web design company web design agency visit the websites above.

Environmental and Economic Benefits of Wear Coatings

Companies that employ the use of large and heavily-used machinery often do so with the expectation of the parts, and the machine as a whole, performing and lasting for an extended period of time. The longer the machine lasts, the greater the return on investment and the less environmental impact it has. By increasing the life expectancy of the parts and machinery as a whole, companies can reduce their expenditures and produce less waste, which makes for an environmentally friendly operation as well. Costs associated with replacing damaged or unfit part(s) can be expensive and not cost-effective for a company's budget, which is why many companies turn to wear coatings for their parts and machinery to ensure long-lasting equipment.

 Environmental benefits include increasing the life expectancy of parts and/or machinery, producing less waste due to decreased need of parts/ machinery acquisition and a decrease in the company's carbon footprint. Purchasing fewer parts for equipment means less waste in landfills. Despite recycling programs, many metal products end up in landfills, contributing to the growing sustainability problem. However, companies that employ wear coatings do so by knowingly or unknowingly making a positive impact on the environment. **End Summary** Topics: corrosion resistant coatings wear resistant coatings coating solutions
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on corrosion resistant coatings, wear resistant coatings and coating solutions.

Mobile Device Applications

There are many different phones currently in the market. Popular phones Android, Blackberry and the most commonly used, the iPhone. If you were to look at a statistic as to how many people use these three different phones, you would see that the Android devices and the iPhone phones are the most common mobile device phone selected for use by customers.

The reason these phones are used so frequently and are in such high demand is because they have something called an application market (for the Android users) or an App Store (for the iPhone users). This market or store is full of different mobile applications that the users can download and utilize at their own convenience. These apps may or may not be fee based.
There are many different types of applications as well. There are games, books, business applications, education applications, entertainment applications, finance applications, and many more. Android and iPhones give the user similar options in regards to the type of categories the phones offer However, some of the applications provided differ across the two platforms. **End Summary** Topics: website design company professional web design company web design agency
About the Author:
For More Information on website design company professional web design company web design agency visit the websites above.

I knew Joe, but I really didn't know him. Joe was one of those guys who you didn't mind talking to. For me there aren't too many people like that. In fact I normally avoid most acquaintances since I'm not one to waste time on the bullshit and I'm sure most people feel the same way.

Like I said, I knew Joe but we weren't friends, of which I have about 6. After all, he was 30 years older than me and when we first met he was my gym teacher. I would later reconnect with him in a little role reversal when I was his karate instructor. There I was a kid in my early 20's and him in his 50's fighting the years of wear and tear on his hips and knees trying to pick his leg up to kick. At the time all I saw was him at face value, a nice man with bad hips and knees. What I didn't see was the 90mph collegiate fast ball pitcher, the Vietnam Vet, the Marathon Runner, Triathlete, Cyclist, Soccer Coach and father of three. **End Summary** Topics: martial arts self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on martial arts and self defense

Commercial Water Distribution Solutions

Commercial industry business needs are as varied as the companies that comprise them. Often times, specific distribution solutions are required for clients. Commercial water consumers and suppliers may need to/be required to filter and polish water based on final water quality requirements either by the client or regulated laws. If polishing is required, distribution solutions can ease the process of achieving final water quality. In order to process and produce high quality water quality specific pumps will need to be installed along with disinfectant technology that will comprise a total solution for producing high quality water.

	Distribution solutions include; re-pressurization, recirculation and distribution; sanitization; disinfection using UV; Chlorination; and Onsite Disinfection Generation Systems.

	Re-pressurization, recirculation and distribution pumps are fully customizable for new and existing water systems. Construction materials for pumps and materials that comprise the pumps are individually tailored to fit the needs each commercial location. Commercial Re-pressurization, recirculation and distribution pumps can be installed onsite or can be skid mounted as a pre-wired, pre-plumbed and tested component; the latter being a more intensive process that occurs at the distributors' location versus occurring at the commercial location.

	Commercial sanitization processes are different for each commercial application. **End Summary** Topics: commercial water treatment commercial water filter systems commercial water systems
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information Commercial Water Treatment, Commercial Water Filter Systems and Commercial Water Systems

Haters Gonna Hate

I love the show Kitchen Nightmares. It's not Ramsay's over the top persona, or how he rips into people (if you get a chance to watch some of his earlier shows from the BBC he's a lot more mellow and tolerable) it's the combative attitude of the people trapped in a failing business.

He comes in, a successful, Michelin Star chef and Restauranteur and tells them exactly what they need to know and every time, without fail, they fight him every step of the way until eventually they break down and give in. When I watch the show with my kids we call it "When Adults Cry" and point out every time it happens. What else am I going to do? They're a little too young to play the drinking game...

The same holds true for the show Bar Rescue, Salon Take Over or most any other business make over show. The excuse for failure is ALWAYS something external: the economy, the competition, the neighborhood, etc. It's never something that the business owner does. Yet, upon further inspection it's always the product, service and atmosphere that are all lacking one way or another. **End Summary** Topics: self protection best self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on self protection and best self defense

If I asked you to pick up a garter snake, unless you had a fear of snakes, you would most likely walk up to it and simply pick it up. You know the snake is harmless and even though it may bite, it won't do any real damage. But then I asked you to pick up a king cobra, you would probably look at me like I'm out of my mind.

The same holds true for defensive tactics. Most methods of martial arts and self defense work is because the world is mostly filled with garter snakes. They're somewhat harmless to mildly dangerous people who may look scary to someone who doesn't know the difference between a copperhead and a corn snake but at the end of the day, would rather back off than withstand any physical pain. They're the local bully at the bar, the gym tough guy or the junkie trying to get over on you. They chest bump you on line or take your parking spot. They're the person who gets a little froggy, but will back down if properly threatened or receive a little pain. The garter snake can be handled easily. **End Summary** Topics: self protection best self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on self protection and best self defense

What is Combatives: Part 1

What is Combatives? A Brief Study of Hand to Hand Combat, Self Defense, Mixed Martial Arts and Beyond

The root word COMBAT - "to fight in direct contact," "active fighting between enemies," "any fight or struggle".

There are no specific country origins or techniques to define Close Combat, Self Defense, and Hand to Hand maneuvers. Based on historical fact and my 30 plus years experience in training, teaching, and understanding self defense, I present the following.

"The Roots of Close Combat, Self Defense, and Mixed Martial Arts"

There are comprehensive surveys and presentations of armed and unarmed combat. You will find a vast array of skills that deploy a diverse mix of "techniques." One truth remains; where people exist, there is a need for defense against aggression. Every culture has its own form of close combat, both traditional and unconventional, yet all have striking similarities.

In Ancient Greece, Pankration was a combined system of "all powers" combat, the equivalent of what is globally known today as Mixed Martial Arts.

The Samurai original fighting systems, Koryu Bujutsu, included a comprehensive catalog of both armed and unarmed skills. **End Summary** Topics: martial arts self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on martial arts and self defense

In the SDTS we naturally assume everyone who chooses to mess with us is bigger. After all, when sizing someone up, it's the first thing you evaluate (um..that's why it's called it "sizing up").

We don't just assume he's bigger. We also assume he has friends, is armed, has intent on harming us and is willing to do so. We also make some more assumptions...like we may be fighting on ice, in the parking lot, or even in the sand or in the woods. We also think that we're probably going to be attacked when we're sick, tired, injured, older or otherwise distracted. Yes we make a lot of ASSumptions at the SDC, but they're not in our favor.

That being said, the question on the table is: How do you defeat larger attackers?
We address this from Module 1 of the SDTS and we continue this line of thinking throughout. The first and most obvious way is close quarters weapons. **End Summary** Topics: self protection best self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on self protection and best self defense

Stop the Fisting

In any military based system, the use of a fist is impractical and dangerous. Any system that advocates using a fist and is taught as self defense or in a military context should be re-examined as to its authenticity in real world situations.

The reason that ko-ryu (old school) systems that were used to train samurai in hand to hand combat never used a fist and relied heavily on grappling and joint locks combined with limited edge of hand and heel of hand strikes when it came to hand to hand combat was because the person they were fighting was most likely wearing armor and the risk of injuring your fist to the point where gripping a weapon was impossible was a risk they did not take. Modern warriors both civilian and professional should do the same.

Even the Okinawa fighting arts known for their development of the first fist in the use of the reverse punch, avoided striking the head. Even though they advocated heavy fist conditioning, punching to hard areas of the body were ill-advised due to risk of severe injury or worse, infection. **End Summary** Topics: martial arts self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on martial arts and self defense

The Battle of Britain began in early July, 1940. England was isolated in a war against the axis of evil. The miracle retreat from Dunkirk and the German "Blitzkrieg" across Europe, including the crushing tactical defeat of the famed French "Maginot Line" proved the Third Reich war machine to be virtually unstoppable. Hitler's plan for the invasion of England, named "Operation Sea Lion" was a daily focal point of danger and concern for the British.

Dunkirk had decimated the British forces and moral was at an all time low. Two recently returned veterans of British colonial rule in Shanghai, China approached the War Office and offered their services at this desperate time. William Ewart Fairbairn, retired as a ranking officer of the Shanghai Municipal Police and his partner Eric Anthony Sykes, a private arms dealer who served as a volunteer in the Shanghai Municipal Police and headed the sniper unit of the famed Shanghai Riot Squad, promised the War Office that their training and methods could in short order, make "any one man the equal of ten."

After the debacle at Dunkirk this was a most important and dramatic statement. **End Summary** Topics: martial arts self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on martial arts and self defense

Metal Plating Applications

Metal plating is a process by which a particular metal is plated overtop of another, most commonly inferior, metal in order to strengthen the base metal. It's used to prevent corrosion, harden metal, improve wear, reduce friction and in some cases, radiation shielding. Metal plating is frequently used in the rubber and plastic, nuclear, automotive, food processing, OEM machine tooling, and bearing industries.

	A common process is diamond coating; which can be used for stamping as well. An advantage to using diamond coatings are that they increase lubrication and protect machinery from corrosion. This process can increase the life span of valves, casings, blades, tools and various other products. Diamond plating enhances the performance of equipment and tooling. Plating enhances the durability of various mechanical components.

Metal plating advantages:
*	Equipment repairs are significantly reduced.
*	Downtime can be avoided or reduced.
*	Less money will need to be spent in the future on repairs and maintenance.
*	Equipment can run and be productive for longer periods of time; which increases profits.

Metal plating disadvantages:
*	The initial cost of installation can be expensive.
*	There will be machine downtime in order to apply the coating. **End Summary** Topics: corrosion resistant coatings wear resistant coatings coating solutions
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on corrosion resistant coatings, wear resistant coatings and coating solutions.

Commercial Corrosion Resistant Coatings

Corrosion and wear resistant coatings and dry lubricants are effective ways to properly care for and help prolong the life expectancy of expensive commercial machinery. Industries that commonly require and employ corrosion resistant coatings are: rubber and plastics, nuclear, automotive, food processing, OEM machine tooling and bearings.

	Coatings for the rubber and plastics industries aim to reduce maintenance and machine downtime. Coatings are often applied to molding components. Coatings also help to maintain the cleanliness of machinery, because the majority of burned-on compounds are easily removed. Typical corrosion or coating applications include coating cavities and cores, check rings, mold bases and plates, sleeves, lifters, textured surfaces, hot runners, pins, barrels, nozzles, screws, inserts and a bevy of other applications and uses.

	Coatings for the nuclear industries components are typically geared toward reactors. Coatings help to improve wear resistance and prolong the life of reactors, in addition to reducing the impacts of galling and seizing. The coatings used do not interfere with or are affected by radiation found in reactors, and the coating applied can withstand temperatures in excess of 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. **End Summary** Topics: corrosion resistant coatings wear resistant coatings coating solutions
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on corrosion resistant coatings, wear resistant coatings and coating solutions.

Chiller Variety

Often, people do not realize the different devices they have in their homes, such as chillers. Chillers are used if you need cooling in your home or in a factory. Examples of this type of equipment would be something along the lines such as a refrigerator or an air conditioner. Chiller devices help to increase efficiency in many different ways; they save and cool the food we consume, they cool down our homes, and also make us feel comfortable in everyday living.

Another aspect that many people are not aware of is the fact that pieces of chiller equipment can help save our lives. A way that this is done is through the use of chillers in medical facilities. In many situations people in the medical field may use the chillers in conjunction with bone scans or x-rays machines because as these machines operate on a continuous basis for patients, the bone scan and x-ray machines can build up large quantities of heat which can cause the machines to encounter serious malfunctions, including fatal damage to vital components.. **End Summary** Topics: chillers chiller repair hvac repair
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on chillers, chiller repair and hvac repair.

Process Chiller Applications

A process chiller is a device that provides a cooling system that can be useful in a variety of organizations. A process chiller is a cooling system that uses a liquid to absorb heat first and subsequently it goes through a cooling process to get rid of the remaining heat.

Process chillers are used in different workplaces and in conjunction with different devices such as refrigeration and air conditioning units. If you consider how your refrigerator or air conditioner works, it generates all of the heat in your house or removes all of the heat from your food and cools it. Process chillers are vital devices that are integrated into everyday life.

The process begins with heat being removed with an absorption refrigeration sequence or a vapor compression technology application. To create a coolant, it is possible to use filtered water throughout the different portions of process chillers; a glycol based mixture is more common to use. If both are not available, you may also use a corrosion inhibitor to achieve the desired result.
A process chiller is more commonly used in air conditioning than any other device. **End Summary** Topics: chillers chiller repair hvac repair
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on chillers, chiller repair and hvac repair.

Commercial Water Pre-treatment

Commercial water consumers can achieve the highest level of performance with the use of preliminary water treatments. Pre-treating water can have a drastic positive impact on reduction of costs and quality.

	There are a variety of pre-treatment solutions available to commercial consumers that are frequently used to prolong the lifespan of equipment and exponentially improve overall performance. Installing one of the pre-treatment solutions that are available will help in decreasing equipment maintenance and operating costs. This occurs in conjunction with continued consistency to produce a quality product. On occasion, is it necessary to implement multiple pre-treatment solutions, rather than just one pre-treatment solution in a commercial environment.

	Preliminary water treatment modules include:
*	Filters
*	Softeners
*	Chemicals and Anti-scalants
*	pH Adjustment
*	Dealkalizers

Water treatment filters can provide total filtration for a wide range of capacities. Filters are especially applicable for reducing turbidity from water, absorbing odors, neutralizing acidity and reducing heavy metals. Filtered water can also help to lessen blowdown which can translate into significant savings. Benefits to using water filters include significant cost savings, improved taste and clarity in food and beverage industries, reduced particulate matter and increased efficiency from turbidly reduction. **End Summary** Topics: commercial water treatment commercial water filter systems commercial water systems
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information Commercial Water Treatment, Commercial Water Filter Systems and Commercial Water Systems

Residential Reverse Osmisis Advantages and Disadvantages

Reverse osmosis is an accepted form of water purification among residential and commercial users. First, we must define reverse osmosis. It's the process of converting sea water by desalination (removing salt from sea water). This is a common known definition; however, reverse osmosis is also used for recycled water, wastewater treatment and energy production. Reverse osmosis occurs by water or solvents passing through a semipermeable membrane that is in place to block the channel for any dissolved solutes.

	As applied to residential water filters is where a filter or whole house system makes the solvent filter out of the high concentrate solution into the lower concentrate solution. In osmosis where both sides become equal in solvent balance, reverse osmosis separates out the solute from the solvent; thus leaving only purified water for users. The purified water is suitable for drinking now that any solvents or dissolved particulates have been removed.

Residential Water Purification

The water purification process in unique to each residential home that requires purification filtration systems. Basic water purification involves the removal of unwanted chemicals, materials and biological contaminants from the contaminated residential water. Water purification processes intend to produce filtered water fit for drinking, bathing, use in residential appliances and various other common household uses.

Purification systems generally help to reduce the amount of particles in residential water; which includes algae, fungi, viruses, parasites and a variety of particles. To achieve purified water there are a multitude of ways for the process to occur. Purification techniques include filtration, sedimentation, slow sand filters, activated sludge filters, chlorination and flocculation, and ultraviolet light radiation. All of the proposed purification processes are viable options; however, some processes may be better suited than others, depending on the residential water situation.

Residential purification systems may be voluntary and requested by residents to ensure there water is fit for consumption. In other instances purification may be required by local or federal governments. **End Summary** Topics: water treatment water treatment systems water treatment equipment
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on water treatment, water treatment systems and water treatment equipment

How to Defeat Multiple Attackers

How do you defeat multiple attackers? One at a time.

There's a new series on the National Geographic Channel called Brain Games and anyone who is into defensive tactics needs to watch this. Especially the episode that focuses on attention and multitasking. In one segment they put a chronic multitasker through a series of tests like driving a car through an obstacle course while talking on a hands free cell phone. The results were less than spectacular. It was impossible for the subject to talk and drive a car at the same time. What they proved was when talking on the phone, you focus on the conversation NOT you're driving. You may be looking at the road, but you're not processing that information, your just staring at it.

It's funny, how many times have you turned down the radio when you're trying to find an address? That's because in order to concentrate you need devote complete attention to the task at hand. The truth is we're not multitaskers at all it's impossible to focus on two things at once. What we really are is serial processors. We can process things one at a time in rapid succession. **End Summary** Topics: martial arts self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on martial arts and self defense

I Lift Weights

I lift weights. I also run and hit things. At 43 I'm just as active now as I ever was. "Active", what an old person term. In your teens, 20's and 30's you worked out, in your 40's you're fucking active. Be careful, when people start calling you "vibrant" or telling you how good you look you're going to take a dirt nap soon. Anyway, there's no reason to slow down. The way I figure, the Spartans were in the active military from 20 to age 60 (sometimes 65) so I'm not slowing down until then. Plus given medical technology today as compared to 1500 years ago, there's no reason why in your 70's you still can't be going strong.

I'm going to ask you to be honest with yourself. Given your overall return on investment, is your time better spent learning katas (forms) or lifting weights? Would you get more benefit practicing esoteric methods of harmonizing your chi or dead-lifting?

Years ago in Tae Kwon Do, the instructor was drilling us while we were practicing blocks in the air. **End Summary** Topics: martial arts self defense
About the Author:
Click on the links provided for more information on martial arts and self defense
