This is one more reason I don’t eat at fast food restaurants. Along the health concerns, feeling like crap later, bad food, and expensive….being ripped off can now be added. Eating at home and packing a lunch may be a pain but it is worth it in savings, health, and peace of mind.

I am glad that I do not like mcdonalds, I prefer sandwiches and company, is much better and is not so bad for you.

is this true? good thing i stopped eating at fast foods.

Well that’s easy to nip in the bud! You just stop right when you get your order and go through the check list. Stopping the flow of cars coming up to the window will create a cease and desist command from the management.
I don’t recall which decade it was that I last ate at a drive through, so I either forget
(memoryloss ;-) OR I never had the experience of not getting “my fries with that order”.

That always happens if you really on a rush and not checking your orders. It happens most of the time because the person who handles order always on a hurry thats why he/she even sometimes didn’t check the correct count of the orders. Well but if they really do it on purpose that is the different story.

How is it that McDonalds has record profits year after year, yet nobody claims to eat there! Now, I don’t eat there….but, that’s different…

This kind of shameful business practice is awful! Everybody should boycott McDonalds anyway! I’d better go; a fresh batch of Big Mac’s is coming out soon…:)

This is ridiculous, I can’t believe that they get away with stuff like this but it makes perfect sense, I always am missing stuff from fast food joints.

This is fake probably. Perhaps it was made “intentionally” to sabotage McDonalds, you know, there are hundreds of fast food competition out there.

Haha I knew it! Mcdonalds always forgot to put a burger in, and KFC always forgets a burger, or a potato and gravy! NOW I KNOW WHY!

  21. Craig

    Unbelievable, really…

I’m so glad I stopped eating meat years ago, I only go to fast food places where I can see what they are doing. I also never go through drive through, because I just don’t trust them. But trying to figure out a system for bilking money out of consumers like that is ridiculous. I hope that guy gets fired!

  22. Philippine Jobs spammer

We just need to check our orders before leaving so no orders are left out. If everybody does that then they will stop this scam because it’s not working anymore.

  23. Mike

LOL, that is great! I would believe it. Popeye’s is the worse. They are about 0-20 for getting my order right, but hey it’s chicken. Only the food gets me going back.

  24. spammer from goarticles

This is really bad..I never expected dis from such a brand …People should now stop going to McDonalds..

  25. Patrick Oden

I don’t know. I eat at McDonald’s enough that if they really did leave something out of every third order, then I would have missed out on a lot of food items.

I guess this could be a new potential procedure, and so I simply haven’t seen it happen to me yet. Even if the leave-out tactic were to be used, I’d be highly surprised if they left an item out of every third order. That would make it way too noticeable, I’d think. Friends would start talking, and it would be found out quickly, I’m sure.

Yes! They seem to never stuff up when you walk in and do takeaway, there is nothing different in the drive-through process that would cause items to be missing at a higher rate in comparison to standard walk-in (I have worked in one of their stores), but it seems something is missing EVERY time I get drive through.
The only thing im not sure about, and the real trick to this, how do they tell/get the staff to do this?

That is simply unbelievable! (or is it?) I really despise the whole mentality… This is a memo from an employee in a company that is spreading the globe, and this twat is actually wasting his time thinking out ways to cheat their customers?

What would happen if he actually spent his time thinking up new ways to improve the company instead of making a quick buck?

It’s like the old saying about pissing in your pants to keep warm.. It helps in the beginning, but after a while you just have wet pants and smell like pee.

McDonald’s can bite my mcnuggets! they screw up my order at least 45% of the time. such a pain to loop around and wait in the line again.

  37. Shineray

I think it’s worldwide McD. strategy. That happened to me once in Bulgaria and may be a several times in Germany.

  38. pharma spammer

That is nuts……but in retrospect makes TOTAL sense. There are select McD’s thT i HIT THAT OMIT THINGS at a much higher frequency than others. Like this stuff isn’t cheap enough already? Unbelievable really.

  39. Adam

I eat there and i have to say that have forgotten my items numerous times. I usually don’t reallize it though until after I get home. Now I can see how they make so much extra money. I’d also like to that they have overcharged me on certain orders by more than a dollar. They do this by adding on items in the drivethru and then failing to give you a receipt. If you ask for one, they will say there out of paper right now. This has happened a couple times too. Usually though only on larger orders where people wont notice.

I highly doubt that they are doing that. I’m pretty sure it’s a joke.

I did actually work at McDonald’s for a while in high school, though. They definitely never had us “accidentally” leave stuff out. However, they did take measures to artificially decrease the average time spent in the drive thru.

They had an automated clock that measured how long it took for one car give an order, take their food, and leave. Since it was all done through sensors, the management would trick the sensors by having someone pull up and wait for us to bring the food out (even if there was literally nobody behind them!) and clear their order out of the system so that it would LOOK like we served them in 1 minute and 30 seconds instead of the 6 or 7 minutes that it ACTUALLY took.

So, they are doing some cheezy stuff to make themselves look better, but I highly doubt that they are actually ripping off the customer directly with tactics like that, which are no doubt illegal.

If it is a joke or not I have gone back to Mcdonald´s more times than I wanted to. Usually its my damn ketchup pack they leave out, yeah small thing but I cant eat those fries without ketchup. But David, why not use ketchup in your fridge? Mcdonald has a way with taste, any ketchup not Mcdonald´s tastes like fudge with those fries. Worse I think I had a burger missing. I mean god damn, how the hell would I not spot that.
