There are many freebie blogs out there and I don’t spend a lot of time reading them, as most are just promoting affiliate offers hoping to capture $1 here and $1 there as you otpin to a form that will cause you to get more junk email than you can imagine.

Then there are the contest blogs, one of these is the International Freebie and Blog Contest Blog.  These blogs are about contests that other bloggers are having.  I never spent too much time paying attention to blog contests until I became an active member of EntreCard.  After that I noticed a lot of blog contests popping up all over.  Several of them we sponsored and several more we have participated in.

Some contests required you to digg things and stumble things, others required you to just subscribe to a feed via email, or leave a  comment.  Others required you to make a post on your blog with links to all the sponsors.  Whenever I sponsor a contest, the upside potential is the links that it builds as the contestants link back to my site.

The great thing about blogs like - International Freebies - is that they help you keep track of all the blog contests out there.  So rather than having to spend too much time hunting around, you can find them in one place.  I have found several other blogs whose contests and future contests I could sponsor just by going to this site and looking around. I have found many more that I can participate in as well.

Remember every contest has its targeted audience and you may or may not fall into that category.  If not, don’t worry just check back later on and see whats new.  Better yet - save yourself the time of checking back and subscribe to the RSS feed.  I use google reader to subscribe and manage a lot of feeds.  The posts are then saved for me to read at my convenience.
