Tips To Lose Weight After Pregnancy

One of the major challenges that any new mother has to deal with is the issue of regaining their former figure. In this discussion I briefly want to address the issue of how to lose weight after pregnancy and it need not be an issue at all. It is important to realize right off the bat that you body has now changed. The nine months of feeding an extra person can take its toll and add quite a bit of weight unto your body.

Its frustrating to realize that you have grown out of your favorite jeans and that you no longer fit into that old top. Its quite obvious that you would want to regain your pre-pregnancy shape. However! Being impatient will not help, you need to lose weight but slowly, pushing too hard can rebound on you .Therefore, Take it Easy! and lose weight, but slowly.

So I personally started few starving diets and the worst of it was that I lost pregnancy weight with both of them, but I also quickly gained back all of it and few extra pounds! I did not know this but when you starve you actually slow down your metabolism. So basically when you lower your food intake, your metabolism slows down to burn less calories. The problem is when you lose the weight, and go back to eating like before, those pounds come on quicker because your metabolism is used to burning less calories.

It should be noted here that the priority of trying to lose weight with the birth of a new baby should be pretty low on the totem pole. In fact taking care of the newborn, eating nutritiously and getting enough sleep should probably take precedence. However, once all of that has been sorted out then working on how to lose body mass can begin.

This of course is not the normal situation for the average woman in the street who has many other things to sort out before any weight loss after pregnancy can even be considered. However, what a recent mother should be thinking about is eating a healthy, nutritional diet that will help her body recover from the strain of childbirth. A healthy diet means one that contains some fiber which should equal around two thousand calories a day

Exercise is the best way to lose weight after your pregnancy but you must also take into consideration some factors like the amount of weight you previously have before you gave birth. Every mother should remember this important point. The metabolic changes in a new mum's body can have an effect on the speed that she loses weight. Remember that in order to lose weight, the best way is to exercise regularly and consistently.

The first changes I made were to by bottled water and stop bringing in pop and juices into my house, I learned that if they were there I would just drink them and not control the amount I had so that had to go. I cut out my snaking and started eating breakfast which was new to me, I have always had whole wheat products and what I consider to be healthy foods.
