The Top Reasons For Remaining Unemployed

By:

While there are many people who constantly look forward to finishing their college and university degrees and getting employed, there are groups of individuals whose top priority is remaining unemployed. Those who are already employed might or might not understand the contention that the unemployed people have with being employed. But here are the benefits for being self employed, or to say the least, unemployed.

To cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit: When a person is regularly employed, what usually happens is that the entrepreneurial spirit in them often gets killed with the passage of time; and the person who is employed will depend more and more on his or her employment income. On the same note the income they earn becomes turns into huge encumbrances in form of loans and mortgages. Employment, while providing a false sense of security, forces someone to permanently depend on it as the source of livelihood.

To manage your own personal time: Getting employed is a sure way of saying bye to your personal time as the employee. The employee's time will be controlled by his or her bosses; and these employees even get to spend less and less time with their families and friends. Family and friends are important, and less association between the employee with kith and kin will produce a less personal and unseasoned person with poor social skills.

Level ground for planning own future: The unemployed do not necessarily have a hazy picture of their income as compared to the employed. In most cases then the unemployed are able to plan their future a lot more objectively as compared to the employed. In some cases, the employed harbor ambitions for pay rise, which when do not materialize, gets to greatly affect the attitudes and working spirit of the same people.

Able to meet up and chat with old friends and acquaintances: The people who are self employed or the unemployed tend to have a very flexible schedule and can therefore do a lot of personal matters. These are therefore better placed at managing their own lives and have very low stress levels. On the other hand, the employed might only enjoy this advantage to the extent of freedom in the workplace.

It is fair to say everyone has responsibilities in his or her life. These responsibilities require most of us to earn a living to ensure we can provide and meet those responsibilities without fail. The challenge is to know where responsibility ends and excess begins; excess is a life style choice which can enslave us all. Excess then turns into responsibility which leads to missed dreams and opportunities.
