Lots of channels now exist on Digital TV -- from move channels to information channels. Now your kids can choose from the varied channels available... thanks to Digital TV.

The real beauty with Digital TV isn't just in the MANY channels it provides, but in the variety If you are Digital TV subscriber, you are not restricted by the number or variety of channels to watch. Cable TV certainly can't compare with Digital TV in this regard.

Having discussed the impact that Digital TV has had on our lives how does this impact upon the Samsung LE-20S51B Digital TV.

The LE-20S51B is a 20in 4:3 LCD and the prices for these would be in the region of 300 pounds sterling or 600 US dollars. The screen resolution is 640 X 480 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is no. The Samsung has 1 (RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the LE-20S51B uses is none at all. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and the Samsung is available from a wide variety of outlets.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the Samsung LE-20S51B?

First up, we would look at the picture quality and our score here would be 8, and closely tied in to the picture quality is the sound quality and our score for this would be 6. Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 6. As far as overall features are concerned we would give it 6 and the final individual verdicts would relate to the ease of use and overall value for money and our scores here would be, 10 and 8 respectively.

The overall verdict would be Not bad. This is one of the cheapest (or least expensive) LCD's around and the screen provides a decent enough picture depsite some of the colours (and especially the blacks) being pretty lacklustre.
