The R4 3ds Powers Up Your Nintendo 3ds With A Multitude Of New Features!

Recently I was lucky enough to get my hands on the much coveted Nintendo 3DS system. I had waited in line on the first day of release to no avail, and could not get my hands on one at all. And this system has been sold out nearly everywhere I have looked, locally anyway. I don't make game system purchases online because I want to have the backing of the warranty and store I would normally get it from. I also wanted to use something like the R4 3DS card in order to be able to download and play some freeware games.

Because I had been reading about homebrew gaming and movies that I can watch on my Nintendo 3DS, I went and started my search for these so called DS Flash cards. But it wasn't easy. There seems to be so much information surrounding these cards that it can get to be difficult to cut through all of the information and get to the juicy bits. There are so many different cards to choose from that you almost need a degree in game development just to narrow down your search and determine which card is the better of the pack when it comes to being able to use my Nintendo 3DS for more than just playing the games I can buy.

Thankfully, after a good solid week of searching, reading reviews, talking to some amateur developers in some of the forums, I was able to narrow my search down to the R4 3DS card. It seems that this is the card that most developers are choosing - not only to play their games, but also to make their games and apps for the 3DS system. It can do a number of things that have nothing to do with games as well. I wanted to be able to use the media playback features as much as I wanted the games. Being able to take some movies with me on my 3DS and then watch them on the commute meant I needed something that could put the movies on the console quickly and easily.

The R4 3DS seemed to fit the bill. It had the media players built in, and the games would not been any extra work to load, it was completely homebrew friendly because they built in this special DLDI (don't ask me what it is) auto patching, which means games just had to be copied and pasted on the the micro SD Card and they would load and play instantly. While there are a lot of card, not all of them come with the ease of use that seems to be built into the R4 3DS. Most of the card required special versions of the games or apps you plan to load, depending on which card you have. Or you'll have to use a patcher in order to apply little bits of extra code the file itself in order to play the games.

Overall, I am very happy with my decision to buy the r4 3ds card over the others out there. And I am certain that anyone would be, especially if you don't want to mess around with figuring out HOW to load a game, and just load it - and spend your time playing it. The multimedia features are a huge plus too, because you can use your Nintendo 3DS for your movies, music, and even to read your ebooks.
