The Place Test Guide To Programming Yourself For Success

By:

If you're gearing up to take your PLACE test, then chances are that you've encountered plenty of these promises made by several study guides:

*"Use our PLACE test study guide to prepare for your exam, and you're guaranteed to raise your exam score by at least 80 points!"
*"Our students do better when they use our test preparation - and now you can be one of them."

These promises might give you hope that you've finally found your ultimate destination for PLACE testing. But as a test coach, I've got a bone to pick with these promises.

In other words, I want to call them out. Call me a bit of a stick-in-the-mud if you'd like, but I find it very hard to believe that a cookie-cutter test study guide can be directly responsible for your test success.

Doesn't it seem grandiose to you? To suggest that by simply reading over a study guide, you'll suddenly be armed with the test preparation knowledge you need to skyrocket your score?

Yeah, I thought so. That's why I want to introduce a new opinion to this debate. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how "proven" your exam guide is...

...Because if your mind isn't programmed for success, then there's very little your study guide can do to help you!

Your PLACE Testing Success is Completely Up to You

It's a powerful thought, isn't it?

You have every right to get that PLACE testing success that you've always dreamed about. You have every right to get your Colorado teacher certification. It's all a matter of programming your brain for success. Only after you do so can that study guide sink into your brain and start doing what it's meant to do!

So what steps should you take to program your brain for success? I've got them outlined here for you right now:

*Take a break from visualizing success on the PLACE test. Instead, focus on picturing yourself as a Colorado teacher. What do you look like? What does your classroom look like? What lessons are you teaching your students? The more detailed the visualization, the more excited your brain will become to reach that minimum passing score.
*While on the topic of visualization, I want you to do something that I know you'll like: visualize that first paycheck you'll earn as a Colorado teacher. What does it look like? What will you spend it on? Picture holding the check in your hands, and imagine how good it will feel to finally be a paid teacher!
*And finally, I want you to visualize how success will change your life. How will being a teacher make you feel? Imagine how it will feel to change the world through your students and inspire them to stay curious about learning!
