The Most Important Distinction Between Winners And Losers

By:

I find it curious how some people waltz through life and seemingly get every break like nothing can touch them...while others who have hopes and dreams and are just as deserving never seem to get a break or accompish anything, don't you?

Actually the reason that this happens is quite easy to understand.

Mindset, that is why this happens.

Look at this example.

Imagine that you have 2 people, both making about $70,000 per year at the moment. $70,000 per year is not bad for the average citizen in the USA, but in the grand scheme of things, its not much money at all.

Now each of them decide to set a goal on December 31st to earn $200,000 next year.

Now, in the mind of EACH person, that little negativity devil will absolutely come out to play. Negativity is indeed a devil and he will begin to play mind games inside your head, working to convince you that your new goal is unattainable and you should forget it.

The real difference when the little devil rears his ugly head is what happens to each person.

A winner might take notice of the devil, but quickly tosses him aside like yesterday's news. Saying "Damn, that seems hard...let me develop a plan to get it done."

Loosers become best friends with the negativity devil. Losers say things like "You know devil, you are right!" I cant quadruple my income. Absolutely not!It all really boils down to mindset.

The way I think is that EVERYTHING comes down to mindset.

That is why its so essential.

Scenario One: There is a customer who loses it and tells you that your company is the worst business that he has ever seen.

What do you do?

You can.

A.)Paste a smile on your face accepting the criticism but attempt to divine if there is any validity to the comment and move on not letting it get to you or change your mood for the rest of the day

B) Bring yourself down to the negativity level that the customer is on, feel the same low self-esteem that is driving the customers rude behavior, and then blame HIS reaction on your bad day.

Can your see the difference?

Scenario 2: Business is a little slow. You have bills to pay. More money seems to be the major topic of conversation with your spouse. You begin to think about going back to a job in order to have more money.

Do you.

A) Just give up, forgetting about your dreams and take the easier road, saying to yourself The guys who made it in this business must be the lucky ones.

B) Take a short 30 minute break to sit alone, in complete silence to contemplate how you got into this situation anywaythen start brainstorming for ways to get out of the financial hole you are in and begin to prosper?

Can you understand the difference in each approach?

Believe it or not, there is actually a silver lining to everything that happens to you. When I look back on my life, I cannot think of a single thing that happend to me that I couldn't learn some lesson that would help me in the future.

Suffering through a tough money situation, sticking my foot in my mouth by saying the wrong thing to my wife, or whatever other event...it does not matter.

All that really matters, is how you deal with it.

Have you found a way to deal with that?

Has something happend recently in your life that you might have handled better?

Hey, we are humans and we are not perfect. I have a habit of messing things up EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. But if youre not learning and growing from your mistakes, youre going nowhere.
