Dissatisfied with their 8-12 hours per day highly demanding but little rewarding job, it is astonishing the number of people who are searching for a better way to make a living. Indeed, the notion of There Must Be a Better Way is so strong that it often turns into a quest. A quest that sometimes ends when the concept to start an internet business is reached. I know this quest well; this quest consumed me for two years.

Looking at it from the outside, what could be better? A business that can be run from your favorite location (hint, from your favorite spot while drinking a cold refreshment, preferably the alcoholic kind) that is open 24/7 without the expense of an office or retail location and without the need of an ogre boss. What an awsome concept, who even needs an internet business plan?

But before you embark on this quest, do you understand what level of effort the quest will demand and what the quest will reward and at what levels? Oh, oh, maybe an internet business plan is essential after all or at the very least, methods for checking the probability of success.

This type of venture is new enough that you will not in all probability find school or college courses teaching the subject. Therefore the lessons contained in this book are indispensable for your internet business plan. You will have to navigate your own way through internet shark infested seas and hopefully plot a course to success.


What took me two years to understand is that jumping into these waters unprepared without an internet business plan only put me in a situation where I was making huge efforts while only mining for what I afterwards learned was fools gold. Meanwhile, the search engines and internet sharks were the only ones making any money from my efforts.

It is these hard learned lessons I will share with you upfront, hopefully before you begin your quest. I include simple real life reality checks you can use to gauge the probabilities of success for your idea or product in leu of an internet business plan AND how much effort it will take. I will also point out who are the good guys and who to stay away from because they have sharp teeth.
