As said, some times ago, the internet marketers built the links pointing to their sites, because that meant higher search engine rankings, which meant better traffic figures. But what was missing was the quality requirement. When the social media users pick their links manually, they set the requirements, what they want. At least this is a useful addition to the traditional linking strategy.

5. The Facebook Popularity Does Not Come Overnight.

The networking happens via private persons, who will pick the Facebook page and start to follow it. But nothing happens, if the quality is poor. We have to remember that the viral distribution is the engine of this strategy and that does not work, if a surfer does not want to send the information further.
