The Incredible Benefits Of Juicing Wheatgrass

The Incredible Benefits Of Juicing Wheatgrass

By:

If anyone had told me a year ago that there would be a point in my life when I would be championing the benefits of juicing wheatgrass I would have thought that they were crazy. It was definitely a concept that I would have considered ridiculous.

I have my wife to thank for persistently encouraging me to give wheatgrass a try. She read everything she could get her hands on that had to do with wheatgrass and then she would share her findings with me. In fact, the potential benefits she told me about seemed…too good to be true. I have long believed that if something is touted as "too good to be true" then…it probably is.

I can't imagine that I will ever forget the day when she walked into my studio with wheatgrass juice in a champagne glass. "Try it. You won't die. You might even like it," she said with a smile. With great hesitation, I took a sip of the potion. "It's not bad, is it?" she said. "Are you kidding? It tastes horrible!" I responded while putting the champagne glass back in her hand. Do you want to feel better and get well, or not?" she responded firmly. Rather than prolong the debate, that I knew I was destined to lose, I chugged the remaining liquid.

Just like the old song by Tom Jones, "The Green, Green Grass of Home," wheatgrass green... would by the theme of my life in the days to come. Every day for the next couple of weeks she treated me to a champagne glass filled with wheatgrass juice.

Admittedly, I was not in love with the taste of wheatgrass juice. In fact, I still don't care for it. But, I am absolutely blown away with the benefits. Mind you, these are not just benefits that I have simply heard about. These are actual benefits that I have experienced. Wheatgrass really does live up to it's billing.

Wheatgrass is packed with important vitamins like B, C, E, and A. We need Vitamin A as a preventative against weak or brittle bones, dry skin, and night blindness. Vitamin E aids growth, reproduction, and eyesight. (My wife no longer wears glasses and my eyesight has improved as well.)

Vitamin B is an anti-stress vitamin that additionally benefits the digestive system, the adrenal glands, and promotes normal brain and body formation. Vitamin C benefits healthy skin, muscles, joints, gums, and teeth while Vitamin E works as an anti- oxidant preventing muscle degeneration, sterility, slow healing of wounds and infections and it's also beneficial to the heart.

Wheatgrass is a potent source for vital minerals, amino acids, enzymes, chlorophyll, and so much more. One of its greatest attributes is its alkalizing effect on the body. Alkaline elements remove acidic waste from the body and restore the alkaline-acid pH balance necessary for ultimate health and energy.

The benefits of wheatgrass juice are so numerous it might be easier just to list the things it doesn't do. What I have witnessed in the improvement in my health and that of my wife is truly amazing and we attribute that change to juicing wheatgrass. We are no longer on any medications, we are considerably more active, and we feel better than we have in years.

In addition, there is another remarkably rewarding benefit. Wheatgrass is cheap. When you get into juicing you soon learn that purchasing large quantities of organic fruits and vegetables substantially increases your grocery bill. But wheatgrass is not a part of that added burden…especially when you grow it yourself.

The benefits of juicing wheatgrass are considerable and there is no way I could cover them all in a short article. I am confident that you will experience noticeable improvement in your health if you will just give wheatgrass a try..
