Taking the Graduate Masters Admission Test or GMAT means that the examinee should pass its Verbal section that measures individuals capacity in basic reading skills and knowledge concepts associated to the English language. There are 41 multiple choice questions in Verbal section and these questions are mainly designed to tests every GMAT aspirants critical reasoning, reading comprehension skills, and grammar and sentence correction structure errors. It is important to know the difference between the assumptions and conclusions. And lastly, the correct answers are generally neutral and so therefore emotional answers should be eliminated.

The Reading Comprehension questions are quite long, around 350 words. The topics that will come out in the selection are taken from different content areas. These could be in the fields of social sciences, physical or biological sciences, and business-related areas. Thus, it could be of great advantage if the examinee generally familiar with some of these materials because questions will be answered on the basis of what is stated or implied in the given material. Most of the questions are accompanied by interpretive, applied, and inferential. In simple words, the selections are designed to tests the examinees ability to understand, analyze, and apply information and concepts in written form.

There are easy tips in Reading Comprehension exam that would be of great help when taking the exam. The very first thing to do to is to read each reading comprehension questions before heading to the whole selection. It helps a lot to save the limited time given to finish the exam and also a great chance to exactly know what to look for when the examinee starts reading the particular passage. The Sentence Correction section challenges the examinee to choose the best answer on the given choices. The basic in this section is to know or at least familiarize the English grammar rules. The examinee needs to improve the incorrect or ineffective expressions. There are two broad aspects of language proficiency in Sentence Correction, the correct expression and effective expression. The correct expression refers to a sentence that is grammatically and structurally correct. On the other hand, effective expression is clear and concise.

There are simple yet very essential tips to surely pass the Sentence Correction subsection. It has been observed that the answer choice A is just repeating the original question, so skipping from it could save time. Another thing is GMAT does not test punctuation, spelling or capitalization. There are also times that there are actually no corrections to make. Elimination of the wrong answers from the right one is a big help. Lastly, there are sentences that have more than one error, so choose the answer choice that corrects all the errors.
