The Highest Quality Medical Transcription Program

I must first go back about nine years. Picture it... the year 2000 and everyone was thrilled to see that the "end of the world" as we all thought did not happen. Life was good, I was footloose and fancy free. I had a great job in the lending world, there was a refinance boom going on, I was climbing the corporate ladder and my world had no limits. Fast forward to 2004 and this is when it starts to get interesting. My cousin decided to leave her husband due to some very serious issues that were going on, so one night her and her two children moved into my house and did not leave for eight months. During this time I helped to get her back on her feet, raised her children, got them on a schedule and even helped her to get a job so that she could "re-enter" society so to speak. By the time 2005 rolled around I was on to my own adventure of planning a wedding for myself to my longtime boyfriend of seven years. This was a refreshing new start for us. I had gone about as high as I could go on the corporate ladder and was making really great money. I had set myself up for success. I was able to work from home part of the time making the occasional sales call to maintain my client base; you know the perfect "mommy" job. After all my now husband and I had been together for so long that we new children would be not too far behind. So the year is 2007 and after two blissful years of marriage, we bought a new house and waited to the arrival of our first born child.

I was told that my company was closing its doors due to the downward turn the market was taking. So, that was it, all I knew my "safety net" had just become such a scary place for me. What were we going to do? I was the primary bread winner of our family, I carried our medical benefits, we had just bought a house, I had just had a baby, and the bills were just starting to come in. WOW!!! In a time that is supposed to be so special and wonderful I was faced with such enormous decisions. Our first reaction was what next high powered job can I get that will supplement the income that I was bringing in for my family. So, I dabbled in a little bit of everything which brings us to the present. For the last two years, I have been trying to find that special something that would not only help provide a secure foundation for my family, but also bring me the one piece of mind that was now weighing so heavy on me....I have a child and I want to be with her as much as I can. I worked so well at home, why can't I find something that will support me and my talents working from home. Then I remembered my Mom telling me of a friend of hers that had been a medical transcriptionist and how she worked from home and was able to provide a living for her and her little ones. So that got me to thinking, why couldn't I do the same thing? In all the jobs that I had been doing, since the birth of my child the one thing missing was being able to stay home with her while she was growing during these early years of life. I have always been a hard worker and what an advantage it would be to be able to work from home in a field that you know to be stable and to be around your family and know the balance to a home work relationship. I felt driven to want to learn more about this growing field that I kept hearing so much about on TV or online. I would get so excited about the chance to learn a valuable skill and really find my place in the work force again. However like all things in life, it was too good to be true. This would require funds up front, funds which after two years of struggling to make ends meet, a short sale on our house, and moving in with my in-laws, we do not have. Then, when I was looking into medical transcription schools, I came across a medical transcription program. I could get the training that I need to have not just a job but a career in the MT field. I was elated, all I want more than anything is to be able to have a skill set that I can use to be able to work an honest career while knowing that I can be home for my child and who knows children someday. I know that with the training in the MT field and making this a career that I can once again be on the brighter side of things. If I could have the help I need to get me going in the right direction, I can see myself in the next two, four, and twenty years from now being able to say how lucky I was to have such a fulfilling career in medical transcription and being able to do it all from home. I truly feel that a career in this field is the only one out that that knows the importance and ability of a mom to be able to work from home. I know I will be great!
