The hazards of backyard fights are many, these are arranged battles that take place in a secluded area with no rules or equipment. They are organized for the entertainment of other who gather and cheer while tow people are beating each other.

Backyard fights became more popular when people starting filming them and posting them on the internet. People get a thrill by posting fights caught on tape on places like YouTube. The number of people who watch these videos is staggering. Most of the viewers of illegal fights are children. You can read their comments in the section after the video. The kids think that these fights are funny and they comment on how poorly the loser fought.

Backyard fights are not advertised outright, the news spreads by word of mouth. People come to bet on the outcome and watch the unedited action. Since these fights are illegal, the police are now using the videos to arrest the organizers. State are trying to get laws passed that will make it against the law to film and post these fights on the internet, in an effort to try and stop them.

The ads for the backyard fights on the internet use terms like, watch unedited blonde girls kick, scratch and punch, or watch disturbing fight videos. The disturbing thing is that people organize, watch, and record these fights, and children are watching them.

When I put the words backyard fights into my search engine I got over one hundred thousand sites that offer viewing of these fights. They say that there are new fights to be seen every day. Some of the sites also have knife fights available to watch.

Many of the backyard fights end with an ambulance coming after the crowd has scattered, this is captured on film too. No one ever stops to help the person who is hurt, everyone just seems to leave in a hurry. People seem to like the reality of the fight, the thrill of knowing that anything can happen because there are no rules, but not one person likes to help the injured .

People have always had a sense of morbid curiosity. It is like waiting to watch the outcome of a hurricane, or slowing down to see an accident on the highway. The difference with watching a backyard fight is that individual pay to watch others get hurt.
