Exciting Place to see in Veracruz

Though historically and culturally rich, Veracruz is not comparably as popular Mexico vacation choice as other more popular resort areas but it has slowly reinvented itself to becoming one. Ideal for day or night strolling is the main plaza called the Plaza de las Armas. Historical buildings worth seeing are the Municipal Palace built in 1608 with its baroque architecture and the Virgen de la Asuncion, the citys neo-classic cathedral that was built in the 17th century. Very close to the port area is the former lighthouse Pemex Tower, the Crafts Market, the Old Customs Building, the Postal and Telegraph Building, the Civil Registry Building and the Juarez Hemicycle Monument. Worth visiting too is the Fort San Juan de Ulua that is located in island but is now conveniently connected to land. The boardwalk, known as the malecon provides kilometers of strolling and exercises especially at night. The Veracruz Aquarium is one of the latest additions and is considered as the biggest aquarium in Latin America. With all these and more, Veracruz is still a worthy vacation destination in Mexico.

Travelling to La Playa del Carmen

One of the recently popular travel destinations for those who embark on Mexico vacations is La Playa del Carmen. With its close proximity to Cozumel which is just right across the channel, La Playa del Carmen shares many of the attractions in this area. The 5th Avenue of La Playa is the center of activity with shopping centers, dining places, hotels, bars and nightclubs for nighttime entertainment. Those who love to go shopping have a wide range of choices from the latest fashion to the colorful and quaint Mexican handicrafts in the area from 5th Avenue to 30th Avenue. The beaches of La Playa are well known for their clear and clean waters and white sand. When visiting La Playa, include a tour of the Chichen Itza, capital of ancient Mayan, Coba that lets you see an authentic Mayan village, Nohuch Muul that is Yutucans tallest pyramid, beautiful Tulum and ecopark Xcaret which is natures sacred paradise. La Playa should definitely be part of your list.
