If you think that a fire will never happen in your home, then guess again because it could and it can be really bad. Fires can come from anything and there can be a lot of fire damage done to your home and a lot or all your belongings will be destroyed. It will put black marks on your walls, burn off the paint or the wall paper, burn holes through the wall and the floor, spread from one room to the next, and a lot more. Fire will make it hard to breathe because it gets in your lungs. It will make your eyes burn and make your body feel like you are in an oven. Smoke will be everywhere, making it hard to see, so you need to get on the floor to get yourself to safety.

Fires can trap you in a room because it is everywhere and it's getting bigger by the minute. When a fire starts in your home, it melts things, such as your computers, TV's, radios, and other electronics. It is a living thing that eats everything it comes in contact with, and it does not stop until you put it out or get someone to put it out for you like a firefighter. It will burn down the walls and floor. It will burn right through the stove and refrigerator and can make things explode. It can burn your house down to the ground. Fires are nothing to mess with because it is dangerous, and it will burn you or kill you. Fires are like us. They get bigger when they eat more, and they want to eat more and more things to stay alive.

If there is a fire, you need to get out of it so it doesn't hurt you or kill you. You need to make a plan so you will know what to do and how to get to safety in the event of a fire. Tell your kids not to play with fire because they will get hurt and burn things down. Some places can be hard to get out of when a fire has started because they are either too high or in a place where you can't get out of because of the power being shut off. After they get the fire out, then you will see all the fire damage that has been done to your house or your buildings. You can't go near it because it can still be smoldering, and you can or will get hurt.
